Preloader keeps running, nothing happens

What am I doing wrgong when an Edge project with a preloader won´t start unless I reload the page 2-3 times? The preloader just keeps on running and the animation won´t start by itself.

I have the same problem. I was told to try another preloader, but I don't think this is a good solution because I'm sure I'll get the same results.

I uninstalled Firefox due to there being a problem and tried re-installing but when I downloaded the setup installer and clicked 'Run' nothing happened.

I never had this problem when I installed Firefox for the first time a couple of months ago.

It is because of the previous version of firefox doesn't uninstalled perfectlly. so check if the previous version is uninstalled or not..? & then try from the link of the full installer's list below..

When I press run to begin installation, nothing happens either in IE or Chrome

Trying to install Firefox in Windows 7 Home Premium on an HP Pavilion PC. Download works, but when I click run, nothing happens. I have tried installing in both IE and Chrome and still nothing. Any ideas? I think it may have something to do with how my user account is set up, but don't know enough about setting up accounts to investigate further. I am a 68 year old grandmother of 6 who is not all that technically savvy so any advise has to be step by step or easy to understand. Thank you. Sandra in McLean, Virginia

Did you Download the full Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop?
The small stub installer that is offered by default needs to access internet to download the files and can be blocked by security software causing the download to fail.
The full installer shouldn't give this issue.
Try this:

*Start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon
You should get the usual UAC pop-up from Windows to start the installation.

Data Set copy takes longer than normal, nothing happens

Hello guys,
I've Server 2012 Std. (was migrated from 2K8 R2 to 2012 Std.) with SCDPM 2012 SP1.
Following components are installed: KB2822782, KB2853210, KB2877075, KB2886362.
Since ca. 171 hours the data set copy runs, nothing happens since that. Transferred data is sill on 536.879.13 MB.
Has anyone had it already?

Sorry i don't really know how to access the boot messages? All other distros stored this information in /var/log/boot but i assume Arch doesn't :-/

I am having problems with migration assistant (windows pc to Mac 2011) When I get to the 'Quit other applications' box and click continue, nothing happens. There are no other apps running - any ideas, please?

I am having probems with migration assistant. Trying to transfer data from a windows laptop to iMac 2011. It was working fine when I did the set-up yesterday, but it was going to take hours to transfer some videos so I quit the process with the intention of doing it again at a later stage. However today I find that everytime I get to the 'Quit other applications' box on the Mac and click 'continue', nothing happens. Have checked mission control and confirmed no other apps running. Tried several times with the same result every time. Migration Assistant running on my laptop with the 'Waiting for mac to connect' box displayed. Mac is connected to wi-fi OK as able to use Safari and access internet. Any ideas, please?

Thanks for your suggestions. Have managed to get Migration Assistant working but now have a new problem, i.e. where does it save the transferred files?!! Searched a few forums and it seems it saves it under your old username, or suchlike. Anyway I tried logging on as a new user using my old user name but there were only a handful of files there, couldn't locate the majority of stuff from my old laptop. Anyway I don't intend to go through any more hoops with MA - will just save the important stuff to an external drive and transfer it that way. Not impressed with MA at all. I thought it was supposed to be a user-friendly tool to simplify the transfer from pc to Mac - not my experience, I'm afraid!

what version of iPHoto do you have? Of the OS? is the iPhoto icon you are speaking of in the Dock?

Somehow my "IPhoto" icon now says "Preview". When I click on "Preview" nothing opens up except the bar says Preview. When I click on the Preview on the bar, a box opens up with different items, except when I click on any of them, there is nothing there. The only thing that work is the "quit preview". However, it is still there where my IPhoto icon should be. I can't get into my IPhoto. How do I get rid of this "Preview" and how did it end up taking over the IPhoto icon???
If you go to your Applications folder and double click on iPhoto what happen?

You don't need to restart your computer to open Firefox again: you just need to close it manually through your application manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC in Processes tab). Anyway, hopefully this support article is what you need:

What's probably happening is that you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. I paid for lion because my 2006 mac pro will not run anything newer (arbitrary decision by apple). Downloaded it, but nothing happened. App Store now says i've already downloaded it, so I can't try again. App store also says lion isn't available in usa.

I found out that an 06 mac pro cannot be updated to anything more recent than lion. They guys at the local shop told me this after they tried to update it for me so I could run logic pro 9 in 64 bit mode. I bought lion. Waited two days for the emails. Spent hours following the instructions which sounded so simple until you try them. Finally I found the "redeem" button that was hidden because the size of my safari window was too small to show it and there was no bar at the bottom to scroll over. Without googling "how do you find the app store" and "how do you find quick links" I never would have figured it out. I only mention this so that others may learn from my mistakes. Finally I downloaded lion, supposedly, but nothing happened. There is no indication that anything downloaded, other than the fact that when I try to download it again, it says it's already been downloaded. I spent four hundred bucks at the shop updating, plus whatever they charged me for lion, and I've still got snow leopard and logic pro running at 32 bits. I'm pretty sure nobody can help me, but could you please arrange for the return of my time?

You can go to "Purchases" tab and check again.
If OS X Lion is still not downloading, try at a different network environment.
By the way, Mac Pro (2006) with a newer graphics card runs Mavericks perfectly with modifications in the installer.
It's not allowed to be discussed here, but you can simply google how to do it.

HT204406 I can't seem to download songs from iTumes Match on my new iPhone 5. It still works fine on my iPad. Both are running ios6 and there is plenty of free space on the phone (20 GB or so). The download icon shows & flashes but nothing happens.

I am trying to play songs from iTunes Match on my phone everything is enabled. The songs and playlists show up but when I select one it won't download or play. The download status icon next to the song name flashes on and off but nothing happens. When I go to the iTunes Store the download section shows the same behavior - it flashes that there is 1 download continuously but nothing downloads. My iPad on the same network also running ios6 works fine. Any ideas?

Problem closed (although not resolved). After working with Apple support, no resolution was found. I asked for a refund of the iTunes match purchase price, which was granted. Interestingly the support tech, who was very nice if not particularly helpful from a technical point of view, spun the "resolution" of refunding my iTunes match purchase price as a positive one, here is a quote from the final email
"I'm glad to hear that you're not having issues with the songs you've purchased. Nothing makes Apple happier than to hear that our customers concerns have been rectified."
It is notable that I never had an issue downloading music directly purchased thru the iTunes store, the only issue that existed was downloading songs that I ripped from my CD collection and "matched".
I'm happy that I received my money back, however I wish that the iTunes Match service worked for me (I was looking forward to this service). I'm most upset at the time I wasted trying to fix this problem.
I'll now download music the old fashioned way: syncing with iTunes directly.

I have been messing with this and 4 other problems on this laptop for the last 32 hours. I'm getting tired and frustrated. Also, I haven't even put music on THIS Laptop because on my other one, I ended up with at least 5 copies of EACH SONG. Let's see 636 X 5 = 3,180 and they were in EVERY POSSIBLE LOCATION!!!
