Depreciation Stops after period 10 FY 2009

The asset has stop depreciation after period 10 FY 2009 and the remaining FY 2009 depreciation(2 months) go to FY 2010.
The particular asset has been created as a sub-asset and it has LINR as the depreciation key and the capitalization date is 31.01.2004 and first acquisition on 01.10.2005. The useful life for 01 Depreciation Area is 5 years and ordinary dep starts from 31.01.2004.The acquisition valuse of asset is 49635.66 USD.
It has been depreciating asset since 2006 i.e . 9927.13 USD per year. till 2008 but now in 2009 it is depreciating asset only for 10 months and remaining 2 months are being added up in next year.
Plzs. help me out in analysing the calculation and if any other information reqd. in this regard plzs. let me know.

Hi,
as it seems the useful life ends with period 10/2009. If you do not allow the depreciation to be calculated after end of the useful life, then the system will stop at the end of useful life. Check the depreciation phase used in 2009 and then you can check the base method assigned to your depreciation key.
In the Asset Explorer you can show the depreciation calcualtion on the planned values tab. In the depreciation trace there should be period factor used visible. If you use the old depreciation calculation there should be a perioc factor 10/12 (if your fiscal year uses 12 periods) in your fiscal year 2009.
According to your description I assume that you have a changeover method in the current depreciation phase assigned which is "changeover after end of useful life", what results in the continuation of depreciation in the next following fiscal year. You can find detailed documentation about changeover methods [here|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/en/4f/71ddac448011d189f00000e81ddfac/frameset.htm]. Repeat run you can do only for the last depreciation period. For the asset which you are tryin to post depreciation from July to Jan, please check the asset value date which you have given while posting the transactions or in the asset master.
If the asset value date is in July, then deprecaition from July - Jan will get posted in the current month depreciation in total. You will not be able to post depreciation individually month wise using AFAB.

Flash movies stop after a random amount of time,

The problem that I am having is that flash movie files (Every website) play for a moment or two and then stop with the little “loading” symbol turning endlessly in the center of the screen. Flash movies used to work with no problem but over the span of the last few months it went from not working well to not working at all. In a perhaps related problem sometimes downloads will stop after a certain length of time and also seem to “hang” at a random spot. If I pause the reload and then restart it the program or whatever will usually finish downloading. This doesn’t happen often but does happen. The flash movie thing, though, happens every time – no matter what browser I have tried. (Firefox, IE, IE with no add-ons, and Chrome anyway.)
I have tried solutions that I have found all across the internet, including the Adobe and Microsoft forums, to no avail. I have unloaded flash with the Adobe uninstaller and reloaded flash. I have tried various flash releases – with and without a firewall on. I have made sure that I am using the 32 bit version of IE and even tried running everything in “administrator mode.” I’ve upgraded every driver that I can upgrade. I’ve used a registry checker as a last resort. I even used the Dell partition to return my computer back to the condition that it was in when I bought it and that didn’t change anything either.
Everything I have tried has made zero difference. In the hopes that someone will have another idea for me to try I am putting all the stats for my computer that I can think of below.

No virus that I am aware of
Since you have a Dell, McAfee came pre-installed? Did you remove it prior to Installing MSE? If so, did you use the McAfee Removal Tool or just remove it from Control Panel/Programs & Features?
My computer did come with McAfee which isn't on my computer now. I used a program called "Decrapifier" that removes unwanted preloaded software that comes with PCs.

No - I have just used MSE until now. I thought about using AVAST but was't sure what running 2 virus/spyware programs would be like.
Since MSE doesn't have a Firewall, do you use any Firewall other than Windows? If so, which?
I use Windows Firewall. I have tried both adding Youtube as an allowed program and switching the firewall off enirely with no luck.
Do you use a Router? Is it Wireless?
I do have a Lynksys router that is a little older but I've also tried hooking the modem directly to the computer.
Is Qwest wireless?
I use the wired ports and not the wireless for my connection.
Other than IE8, what browsers and versions are Installed now?
I only have IE8 now. I never reinstalled the other browsers after using the Dell partition. I prefer Firefox so having to use IE is frustrating.
I've also used "RegestryBooster" to make sure that my regestry looked okay.

Depreciation With skiped periods

I have uploaded assets from legacy system with the depreciation value uptill end of may 2009. Now in running the depreciation AFAB unplanned puting period six (06), the system is calculation depreciation from january and i intend to post depreciation just for June, so how can i skip the periods 01 to 05.

Go to Tcode OAYC.
Select your company code and double click on period in which depreciation was posted
So here please mention FY 2009 and period 5 for depreciation area 01.
So with this system will start calculating depreciation from 06th period only.
This will defenitely fix your issue.

Info structures S031, S032 & S033 stopped updating since 09/2009.

In our DEV system, Info Strucres S031, S032 & S033 stopped updating after 09/03/2009. There are material documents after that date, but infostrucres are not updated. All these info structures are active, and all their requirements are also active. So, what could have gone wrong - how to resolve this ? BTW, in QAS and PRD, these info structures are being updated. Kindly help.

HI,
The structures are always updated when you execute a transaction that is supposed to update the struture, almost real time. The small technical difference: it is updated asynchronous.
Means you have a time difference of a few milliseconds to seconds from the synchronous posting of a material document and its update in the infostructure.
And if the update of the infostructure fails for some technical reason, then this would have no impact to the original material document. In other words, an update error of an infostructure can lead to inconsistencies.
Tthe regeneration of the infostructure is certainly the way to get the info back to have good numbers in the infostructures. However, you have to investigate first why you have this inconsistencies and what caused them, then you have to make sure that this failure will not happen again (maybe by implementing an OSS note), and then you can think about regenerating the infostructure.
For re-generation, nobody must post anything that updates this infostructure, and the re-generation can last some hours, so it is not a task that can be executed every week.

Photoshop CC 2014 stop after a few seconds

I'm a CC subscriber and I recently updated my photoshop CC to photoshop CC 2014.
I can start Photoshop but it automatically stops after a few seconds. I've already tried to uninstall / install multiple times without any success.
When I read the file "amt3.log" in my temp dir, I can see "[ERROR] | | | | AMT | | | 7188 | ERROR: Failure Validating Product License!".
So it seems like a licensing issue.
Did anyone faced this issue?

I have the exact same error on the log file. I even tried the "nuclear solution" with no more results...
But as I tested the nuclear solution, I uninstalled Lightroom (which worked fine) and I've got the same issue, but I solved it by manually installing it (i.e without using the cc application) and it worked fine.

However, I can't get my hands on a similar installer for Photoshop CC.

After upgrade to 10.8.1, Internet access stops after approx. 50MB of traffic.

I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and when I started upgrading OS components and other apps, downloads would stop after about 50MB. Once this happens, all requests in internet browsers also lost internet access. If I turn Airport off and then on again, I can access the internet but the same problem occurs again once I continue other downloads.
I have other computers and they don't suffer from this problem, so I know if is not my internet provider or my wireless network.
Any ideas?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken files from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click on the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to close and restart iTunes.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

I think you need to gobble up the output from the command you are exec'ing. If the exec'd command fills up your command space buffer it will stop when the buffer is full.
Try adding the lines

after the try block to gobble up the output from your command call.

ASKB error - Posting period 012 2009 is not open

Hi All,
We are using ECC 6.0 version.
We have posted an asset acquisition on 31st Dec 2008 in a Local Dep area with posting date 31st Dec 2009. Posting was made only in Local ledger and not in leading ledger.
It was a mistake from our side and rectified immediately on the same day by reversing the entry and reposted with posting date 31st Dec 2008
This issue is erroneous as posting period 12 2009 was open at the time of posting and later realized and has been closed.
Now, We are trying to run ASKB for all the assets in that Co.Code. But, System is blocking the entire log for processing. The Error being u201Cposting period 012 2009 is not openu201D
We cannot exclude this particular asset for this run and we cannot even open period 012 2009 for security reasons
Pls advise.

Hi Pawan,
May be you can try posting with period 12/2009 opened. For security reasons, you can block the period for others and keep it opened only for a particular authorisation group and have the auth. group assigned to only one person who runs the transaction.

Catch up depreciation from past period for PPA write-up

Hi,
What is the best practice or solution to catch up depreciation from past period for the PPA (purchase price accounting) write-up?
We need to write up assets for 2/28/2014 now (August). Once the assets are written up and when the depreciation runs - it will be based on the new NBV. But we will be missing depreciation for the amount which the asset was written up by. How do we catch up with this depreciation?
We tried running unplanned depreciation, but unplanned depreciation runs for the current NBV.

IPod Classic Starts to Sync But Stops After 5 Seconds

I'd appreciate help with this...
Two days ago, my iPod Classic stopped syncing. I don't think this is the situation where the device is not recognized. When I connect with the USB, the iPod appears in iTunes and it starts to sync but then stops after about 5 seconds. I have the latest iTunes (11.0.5) and iPod software; I re-set the iPod; and I ran a check for errors on the iPod, but it came back clean; I can't erase the latest backup in Properties because it's empty.
Here's what I don't understand - I ran a diagnostic on the connection but it was ok; when I ran a diagnostic on sync, it said no iPod was found -- even though I had the same connection when I ran the diagnostic a few seconds earlier. I know that the iPod is recognized because I can drag podcasts onto the iPod when it's connected.
Any ideas? I'd rather not have to reinstall iTunes.

Hi,
I had a similar problem, all you can do at present to rectify this is to grab your playlist or new created playlist or song from the main library or playlist and drop it into the ipod tab under devices and it will auto sync the changes or songs. Hope this helps.
There seems to be a problem with the syncing of itunes 11 (mine is 11.0.5) when you just use the normal sync method. the above should work and has worked for me when transfering a playlist straight into the ipod it automatically syncs.

I am having problems with my optical corded mouse that came with my iMac (it's about 2 years old) It stops working periodically, and I can't figure out how to fix it; doesn't look like I can open it to clean it, or anything like that.

My corded optical mouse (model A 1152),which came with my desktop iMac, stops working periodically. The little tracball may work scrolling down a page, but not up, sometimes, and I have yet to figure out how to fix it, or why it happens at all. Is there someone who has had that problem, and what did you do?

"lock" values of tax depreciation for previous periods

Hi all,
is it possible to lock calculated values of depreciation for previous periods? We need it for the case when e.g. depreciation key is changed. Then we want preserve the values for previous periods and change only the future values. But please note that we want this for depreciation area, which does not post values to GL.

Hi,
It did not work for me. I changed the useful life from 30 to 20 yrs and then used menu path Edit/Recalculate values. Then I used the Tx S_ALR_87012936 to display the depreciation values for individual months. But all the values were the same, i.e. the values for previous periods were not kept.
So is there a way to keep these values?
