Dervish(plus) doesn't work with new ios7.

I have tried contacting Dervish and Whirling Disks Ltd but without success. Where do I stand please? I presume it's still on sale?

It's still in the app store so yes, it's still on sale. There is no info on the page re iOS 7 support, it just says "Requires iOS 4 or later". It's still a 1.0 version that hasn't been updated since it was released in Mar 2012, that's usually not a good sign unfortunately. I presume the band paid a contract developer to write the app in the first place and would now need to pay again to have it updated to support iOS7.
I guess if enough fans pester them they'll figure it's worth the money, if not they probably won't. Given that there are no ratings for the app at all that may indicate that they didn't sell many copies of it and so the odds of enough fans requesting an iOS 7 compatible version are not good.
In short you have no option except to wait and hope they update the app for iOS 7 one day.

SessionManager doesn't work with new xerceimpl.jar?

Does anybody know the solution to the problem below?
The toplink sessionmanager, which loads sessions.xml for database session pooling, doesn't work with new xerce parser(xerceimpl.jar). It is tieing to old xerces.jar parser, which has been upgraded to have more functions.

It works with old xerces.jar. But in-order to get new functions from new xerces jars from apache, I got xml-apis.jar, xercesImp.jar. They got modified from old ones. So this is breaking toplink sessions.xml load to work.

MacPro eSata Port/Card doesn't work with new Hard Disk

I just bought 4 x 3TB Hard Disc http://tinyurl.com/d2rglvn (specs of disc)
Which I put in Macally Enclosures to work on my Barracuda internal Hard Drive externally http://tinyurl.com/clg8yjo
I already have like 5 x 1,5 TB that works perfectly well with eSata connections (with exact same enclosures)
**My problem is that my 4 new Hard Discs works really fine with my Mac Pro but only with the USB connections but won't work with the eSata Connection. I tried it on a MacBook Pro with an ATA to eSata adaptor and it works perfectly fine (So my discs are not the problem) **

Ethernet card doesn't work with new arch install?

Hi guys,
so this is kinda my first post, not that I'm new to arch i just never had an issue i couldn't figure out on my own... But i love arch i have been using it for about a year now and have had no serious problems except for this. I have had arch running on an older dell vostro 200 desktop before i reinstalled with a vary similar issue except that the fix i came up with doesn't work anymore. I will tell you about the first issue first because i ALMOST posted on here about it originally but i figured out a way to make it work even though it was a hassle.
After cold/rebooting my computer the network card doesn't work at all. lspci reported that the kernel module e1000e was the correct one (i have verified this) and that the kernel has loaded it, i verified that with dmesg but still it wouldn't work. After much much anguish and hairpulling, I realized that it had to have something to do with the module so i tried forcing it to reload with rmmod e1000e and modprobe e1000e and it still wouldn't work until i physically unpluged the ethernet cord and pluged it back in until the light on the NIC turned on. After that everything works as normal i could even unplug and plug it back in with no problems. So eventually i wrote a script that did this for me (except for the uplugging and plugging part) and i used that when i cold/rebooted.
But now i have the exact same issue after reinstalling arch to the T except for the fact that the (crazy) fix i came up with doesn't work now. I used my "fix" after booting from the arch cd and it worked just like it always has. And now after rebooting into my fresh system the fix doesn't work anymore. So now i'm back where i was to begin with but i have no idea what to try next. I didn't do anything particularly different during installation except i added a udev rule for the e1000e module just to see if somehow that would fix the problem... it didnt and i have since deleted that (to see if it was the problem). The only other thing that is different is the root and home are now btrfs partitions instead of ext4.
I have booted several other live cds and dvds (diferent distros) including arch derivatives such as manjaro and they all worked just fine, using the same kernel module (e1000e). I'm not sure what that could mean but i know that it means there is a fix for this some way or another. I am going to hook up a wifi adapter and connect that computer to the internet to put some more information up if it's needed (asked for) but for now lspci -vnn | grep -i -A 10 net reports

Wireless Music doesn't work with new software

Hello-
I can't get my wireless music to work after I update the software to the latest version. The only one that will work is when I install it from the CD. But, I would like to use the most recent version of the software. As soon as I update, the Media Server won't launch on my computer. I am using a linksys WRT54G wireless router. If I check DHCP clients, the wireless music receiver is successfully getting an IP address. I have tried all of the things that linksys suggested (disable WEP, firewall, broadcast SSID, etc...) to no avail. Has anyone gotten the latest media server software to work with WRT54G? I have tried it on both my XP and W2K machine, with the same results (doesn't work).

I have the similar problem, I've installed the software on my desktop, no error messages (apart from the certificate) and everything seems to be fine. After about 2 minutes the message appears that the network is not ready and consequently the media server is not running.
Without the server running I can't setup the Network and the entire system is not working. I could ping it but that was about it.
I've reset my router, renamed the SSID, tried with and without WEP, MAC, without firewall, opened a new account on my desktop with admin rights installed the software again into a new folder - result still not working, same error message.
To make really bad, I installed it on my laptop, same procedure and it works fine! So it seem that it has nothing to do with my wireless devices or configurations, there must be a problem while setting up the software on my desktop.
I really would appreciate your help a lot!

Phone sounds don't work with new iOS7

Since installing iOS7 on iPhone 5, sounds stopped working. All settings are on. The only way I have found to make work is turning off phone and turning back on. Works for a bit, and then they all stop, again, including ring tones. What suggestions are out there?

Thanks for the question, and great troubleshooting so far. Because the issue is intermittent, and can temporarily be fixed with a later reoccurrence, it sounds like a restore of software may be necessary.
You may want to back up your iPhone and restore as new. Once you have setup the iPhone as a new phone, test to see if the issue persists. If it does not, then proceed to restore your backup:

17" Cinema Display doesn't work with new MacBook Pro

I have used a 17" Cinema Display with a MacBook Pro without problems for the last year. I just bought a new MacBook Pro and a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter. Hooked it up and no display. Reconnected to my olf MBP without the Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter and it still works great. Any thoughts?

I have the same machine and the same drive (for about 6 months) they work fine.
The first suspect is the internal SATA cable, replace it.

Dvi to hdmi works doesn't work with new tv

I have been searching constantly for several days, and I have not been able to find a solution.
I have been using a 32" Vizio HDTV as a monitor for my 2008 macbook pro via DVI to HDMI for over a year now. Recently, we purchased a new 39" Sanyo HDTV for out living room, and the screen continuasly flashes blue when I try to connect my laptop to the tv. I have also tested my computer on a 42" Sony TV, and it also works fine on that TV.
I am also able to run windows through bootcamp on every TV mentioned above except the Sanyo TV lags a lot in windows. Why can't I get my laptop to display properly on the Sanyo TV, (blue flashing in OSX and lagging in Windows 7)?
Should I try buying a DVI to Component/Composite cable? The Sanyo doesn't have a VGA port, but should I also try going from DVI to VGA to Component? The TV has no option for "game mode" or "image processing". I am lost of what to do.

Magic mouse doesn't work with new batteries

my magic mouse green led light won't turn on after putting in new batteries. I've changed the batteries a few times with no problems, but now it won't work. Can my mouse be defective/broken only after a few months??

I have exactly the same issue. Whenever I replace the batteries in my magic mouse I have a few days of constant disconnections. At first it's very annoying and the mouse disconnects every 3 minutes or so. It reconnects automatically in about 15 seconds but it's a huge pain. After a couple of days the connection seems to smooth out and become very stable. My guess is that it is something to do with the actual BlueTooth radio and that the signal strength might actually be too high at first. One note is that I have a magic mouse that I use with an iMac and that never seems to have the trouble, but the mouse that I've used with my laptops has always had this problem even with a couple of different laptops. It might be the mouse, but it also could be that when I'm using my laptops the mouse is only a few inches from the computer, but on the desktop the mouse is probably 2 feet from the computer.
Seems like it's a radio issue to me.

The link I gave you was to the MacUpdate.com page for Paragon NTFS. Look lower on that page for the Similar Software section and see if any of them are free.
I am assuming an external drive in an enclosure. Any drive will do so long as the enclosure that encloses it can talk to your mac (firewire is better than usb2 and thunderbolt better then either of them). For example take a look at the selection at OWC.
Personally I like to buy empty enclosures (which you could get at OWC) and stick the drive of my choice in them. That way I get to choose the drive of my choice (I like Western Digitals) and stick it in the enclosure of my choice. I view enclosures as dumb boxes who's only goal in life is to let you communicate with the drive they enclose. You can by "complete solutions", i.e., enclosures with drives and accompanying software. In almost all case that software gets in the way and screws thing sup from the box just being a dumb box.
