for the whole day my network has been 'Searching...'
i have tried airplane mode on and off, turning my phone on and off and network reset and taking sim in and out.
so i backed up my phone and restored to factory settings as i don't think i did the option of choosing manually select a carrier.
my network is still 'searching...' and it won't let my wifi to allow me to activate my iphone. i have tried to connect to itunes and it still won;t work.
i keep getting a message about no activation server.
this is a new iphone. i got it replaced on saturday.

If this is a new iPhone then you will have free access, as all iPhones come with it, to Apple support. I would have them take care of an issue like this.

ITunes wont detect iPhone - Urgent help!!!!!

Ok heres the deal. Usualy i use iTunes regulary without any problems. But 2 days ago all of a sudden my iTunes wasn able to detect the Iphone, i tried everything, differrent USB plugin, reinstalling iTunes, reinstalling Bonjour but nothing changed. Now there was one interestting thing, when i tried to open the iTunes that day first what appeard on my screen was: "Bonjour service unavalaible". Could that be the problem? If not or yes, i need help urgently! Pls help! thanks
oh btw i forgott to mention that my comp recognizes it as a cam like it usually does and starts charging it, but only iTunes is making trouble
I also tried at my neighbours computer and his iTunes recognizes it perfectly, i tried everything, i have up-to-date drivers, matchable iTunes specially for my Win 7, uninstalled every Apple related software and installed iTunes again several times, tried everything i found on google, still no change. Help plssss!!!!!

I had this problem... you just update the iPhone device driver.
Go to Device Manager (Start> type "Device Manager" in search field), under Portable Devices (might also be under imaging devices), look for Apple iPhone and right click it. Click to browse online to update the driver software.
Also make sure Apple Mobile Device and iPod Service are running (Administrative Utilities>Services). If they are, might restart them anyway.

Today I went down to my carrier HQ. (Singtel, Singapore).
I went to spoke to the person at the iPhone servicing counter.
He told me that my iPhone Liquid Submersion Sensor has been triggered and it's now out of warranty.
And my purpose is there, to have my iPhone exchange as my home button is getting unresponsive at times.
And he told me that this is under Apple policy. When I purchase the phone, the salesperson didn't even told me about the policy and I wasn't aware of that.
So the main point is my iPhone Liquid Submersion Sensor and I didn't even drop it into any liquid, I don't know why but it's just unfair for me as an end user.
Question here, will playing apps like Ocarina activate the iPhone LSS? Only my bottom LSS is triggered, the top one isn't.
Also to recall, at the point when I'm buying my iPhone 3G last year, out of the box there is already a dead pixel and the person refuse to change a new set for me.

Buen dia, mi pregunta es como puedo desbloquear mi iphone 4s Claro Honduras, ya que mi operador dice que debo de consultarlo con apple porque ellos no relizan eso.

Bueno, la verdad es que Apple no puede desbloquear el telefono, pues Apple solo proporciona el telefono y los operadores lo subsidian y son ellos lo que deciden a quien o no desbloqean. Claro tiene una politica muy restringida en cuanto al desbloqueo en los paises donde operan. En Mexico no ofrecian desbloqueo pero recientemente pasaron una ley, y tienen que ofrecer desbloqueo si el cliente ha cumplido su contrato.
Pueda ser que el documento de Apple al que hice refrencia anteriormente este equivocado, y relamente Claro Honduras no ofrezca desbloqueo. Sin embargo lo que te dijeron que tiene que ser Apple que desbloque el telefono te han mentido o desconocen la realidad.
Sugiero le lleves documentos tecnicos de soporte de Apple (estan en la seccion de soporte; haz una busqueda: DESBLOQUEAR IPHONE) a los de Claro a ver que te dicen.

Hola Felipe! Mil gracias por tu pronta respuesta. El tema con la operadora en Venezuela, es que no les conviene que los clientes se cambien de compañia telefonica. Pronto requiero viajar y necesito usar mi equipo al pais destino con un chip/ linea telefonica donde me encuentre.

URGENT HELP NEEDED - iPhone 3Gs no longer detected or charged by MacBook

My iPhone 3Gs (3.1) has been running fine, until several hours ago today, when I plugged it to my MacBook, the iPhone is no longer detected - it doesn't show up in iTunes, nor it is charged. I tried opening iPhoto, and it wasn't there too. Not with Image Capture too. I tried charging it using the out-of-box wall charger using the same out-of-box USB cable I use for MacBook, and it can be charged without any problem. Then I put it into Recovery mode, and there iTunes can see it. I don't want to restore it before I figure out exactly what went wrong, as I don't want the restore process somehow gets stuck in the middle that the connection is lost again.
I've tried reinstalled iTunes, including completely removal of Apple Mobile Device Support, as instructed by Apple. But still no luck.
I've tried switching to another USB port of my MacBook. No luck.
My iTunes is the latest 9.0.1, and my Mac OSX is 10.6.1. My iPhone is on 3.1, upgraded from 3.0.
I've read from web that it seems I'm not the only one out there having this problem. But none of them seem having any real working solution.
Urgent help needed & appreciated. Millions of thanks in advance.

1. I used both cables - theirs & mine ... and on several macs
2. yes, same cable for wall & mac
3. as said, i did completely remove & install itunes (incl. apple mobile device support), as instructed on the apple webpage
anyway, did a restore just now. it seems okay now. but the problem is i have no idea what cause this, and i can't replicate the problem. so i don't know when it will happen again ... maybe a bug with os 3.1 ... others on web said os 3.1 is quite buggy ...
