Hola. Quisiera saber si me podrian ayudar ya que necesito descargar los codecs para premier cs6, para archivos .mpg y .avi. No se que ocurrió, pero los avi no los puedo importar, y algunos mpg tampoco. Gracias!

Importing an Avid 6 edited film in .MOV into Adobe Premier CS6 for re-editing but codec issues!

Hello,
My first time using Adobe Premier CS6.
I have edited a film on Avid 6 but it's far too big.
I want to import this film into Adobe Premier CS6 for re editing so I can export it as a H.264 and make it small enough to post online (currently it's 9gb)
I have tried importing it but I'm running into CODEC issues eeven though it's a .mov. What can I do?
Please help, it's all new to me.

Adobe Premier CS6 Classroom in a Book - Lesson 11.prproj

I bought Adobe Premier CS6 Classroom in a Book and am trying to use the lesson files that are on the CD.
At school, I have an iMac and all the lesson files load up perfectly, whether they are being loaded from the included CD or from the external 7200RPM Firewire 800 hard drive I have.
Yet, when I try to load the same prproj files on my Windows 7 PC, I get a pop-up error that says:
This project contained a sequence that could not be opened.
No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type.
It isn't just happening on one file. Some of the files open, but most of them do not.
Does anybody have any ideas on what I can do here?

IIRC, the CiaB files are MOV. Is that correct?
Do you have Apple's QT Player installed on your PC, and if so, what version?

Premier CS6 importer error for mxf files

I can't import any mxf file into Premier CS6. I don't really understand this situation.
I have intalled Canopus.HQ.CODEC.v6.0.7 and for example my vlc media player plays fine all of my mxf files.
Can anybody help me solve this issue?

Probably because they want to be able to investigate the exact type of mxf file it actually is. Because I edit mxf files with Premiere cs6 fairly regularly and I never have issues. So obivously something is either different with that specific type of mxf or something is corrupted which I doubt. Could you upload a small test file? So we can see if it will import into Premiere on our systems. Also since you're saying they digitized them using a canopus capture device/card and or software I'm thinking you may need that software and or the specific codec installed on your system in order to actually make use of that type of file.
I'd recommend downloading the entire "canopus playback codec pack". This should solve your issue. However I have no way to promise it will, I'm fairly sure it should work... Simply google "Canopus Playback Codec Pack" and the first result will give you the info your need to get the full playback package. I'm guessing this your problem.

Can I add a Tivo codec to Premier Elements?

I have Premier Elements 11, on a Windows 7 (64 bit) machine. I also have Tivo Roamio, with their transfer software which will copy shows from the Tivo box onto my computer hard drive. I have recorded some movies I want to share with my kids when they come home from college this summer (one-time viewing, strictly private, in-home only). The video transfers show up as FILENAME.Tivo files; if I want, I can convert those into mpg files, via software by Pavtube. However, some shows will not convert completely; and, if I could avoid a time-consuming (and possibly lossy; not sure about that) conversion step, that would be nice.
So, the question becomes, can I install some codec into Premier Elements, that will allow it to recognize and handle filename.Tivo files?
If anyone can tell me where to find that kind of codec, and give me the basics of a step-by-step installation, to get the codec into a location where the Premier software can find and use it, that would be very appreciated.

Another quick update -
I've been trying the ctivo software, and have not seen any advantages over the combination of "Tivo Desktop" to transfer the files, followed by Pavtube to convert them into other formats that Premier can handle. Both software types seem to fail on the exact same files, and the 12 minute mark is a common, almost thematic failure point. Neither one provides any indication (at least, none that I can find) of why, and/or what went wrong, or whether I can do anything to fix it. Each time I have I tried one or more additional attempt, I have always gotten the same result.
ctivo provides a yellowish "Failed" color and message on its progress bar, with no other info.
Pavtube doesn't, and I have to check each converted file, to see if it's a good file. On occasion, the converted file size is only a small fraction of the expected number, and I'll know it's bad without checking further. More commonly, I have to check the final seconds of any file, to see if it still has a good picture. If any file conversion fails at some point, the entire screen shifts into static gobbledy-****, and I have never seen any converted file shift back to a good signal after a failure point like that.
I'm going to start looking into posts and threads at videohelp.com, to see if anyone there can help.

Exit Code: 6 when trying to install Premier Cs6

Hi all,
I've been trying to figure this out for a long time now and it's really to the point where I've tried everything. I'm trying to install the Demo of Premier CS6, with the hopes of then purchasing a license..but I wanted to get it installed and try it first. However, I can't even get it installed. (Mind you, I already have 5.5 installed.)
Every time I try to install Premier, Encore works just fine, but Premier fails. I get the following error:

Update to Premier CS6 6.0.2 turned my project into a disaster.

I just updated from Premier CS6 6.0.0 to 6.0.2. My existing project is now a disaster:
I can't toggle through .pngs or .jpgs on my timeline without a 10 second delay without a render.
The rendering of 1 still image can take up to one hour.
My audio often is not audible.
When the program freezes, my whole computer shuts down unexpectedly.
In other words, I'm unable to continue working on my project. My project worked seemlessly before the update.
I've tried deleting render files, working with still images off a new project and drive with same problems. And everything else I could think of.
I'm on new MacBook Pro Retina
2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024MB
Mac OS X Lion
Any suggestions?

Does your project use CUDA-accelerated Mercury Playback? Did you have to employ the "hack" to get hardware MPE on your system? If so, then the update probably reset the hack and now you're having to work with software MPE only. Re-hack the text file, or just delete it to bring back hardware MPE.
If that's not the issue, then try creating a brand new project and import the old one into it. You can also try deleting all of your cache files and cleaning the media cache database.

Premier CS6 won't load up.

Had to restore my system (Lion) to a previous time (12 hours earlier). Everything loaded up except Premier CS6 won't load past importerQuicktime.bundle. Any suggestions?@

Not seeing increase in speed with dual GTX880m (16GB in SLi)- Premier CS6 or CC

-I've enabled the "hack" so CUDA is recognized in Premier CS6 and CC but I don't see any difference in speed between software and CUDA.

In a laptop I am wondering if they really can support two PCIe X16 lanes. I would suggest that you download GPU-Z and look at this
This when the GPU is working hard this is what you should see, when not working it throttles back to "@x16 2.0" or to @x16 1.1" . But at least it is running with x16 lanes of the PCIe bus. In desktop systems when you install two GPU's it is not uncommon to see one or both fall back to x8. GPU-Z can run multiple instances so you can have two of these screens running and set one to each GPU. If this shows a throttling problem I doubt that there is any way around it.
Next lesson for the day is to then look at the Sensors TAB on the top of each and this is what you will see:
Notice the GPU Load item where we have 99% usage. So for this case my GTX 765M is being fully utilized.
If you also notice in both screens I have overclocked the GPU memory by 50% and achieved much better results but the GPU temperature is a very safe 56°C. In laptops they of course stress battery life, they achieve this ultra conservative operation by severe performance reduction.

No puedo instalar otra vez el Premier Cs6

hace unos meses que estoy pagando el abono de Creative Could y pude bajarme varias aplicaciones incluido el Premier CS6, hace una semana reinstale el Windous y cuando quise reinstalar el Premier no me lo permite el creative, si baje las demas aplicaciones pero necesito Premier fundamentalmente, es la razon por la que abono mensualmente. Cual es el incoveniente que no me permite bajar otra vez el programa?

I just buy the newest Version 13. Unfortunately I can not see Movies from older Version such as PE12. How can I get the missing Codec Code? Thanks for any help

Premier CS6 Video Cards

I need a list of certified video cards for Premier CS6. I have a GEFORCE 780Ti and it is not recognized by the program. I may need to use a different card. I am thinking of using a GTX Titan. Will it work well with CS 6. Please advise.

Premier CS6 Playback stops when on Windows goes to sleep

When playing out a sequence to Kipro in Premier CS6, the playback stops when the Window's Display goes to sleep. I cannot currently change this setting since our IT department controls it. Is there a way to change this in Premier or do I need to have IT give us the ability to change when the Window's display sleeps?
