Saludos cristian.ccl,
Rapid Control Prototyping Toolkit - Quanser:
http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/211216
Lamentablemente este Add-On no ofrece un periodo de evaluación, sin embargo te comparto un getting started de Quanser para utilizar esta tarjeta en LabVIEW esperando que sirva como punto de inicio:

  • I have trouble finding the drivers to install a PCI-6024E data acquisition device.

I can't find which drivers I should get to install a PCI-6024E data acquisition device. I had NI-DAQ 7.1 and I just upgraded to version 7.2, but it still doesn't work. From what I read, this is a plug-and-play device, so, if the drivers are in my computer, Windows XP should be able to complete the installation without any problems; we have a PCI-6110, which was re-installed correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
NI-DAQ is the correct driver for the PCI-6024E and PCI-6110 devices. Since you have two devices, you should try a combination of installations to see if you can narrow down the problem to a possible damaged board.
What I mean by this is the following:
Install the 6110. If it works, pull the device and plug the 6024E into the same PCI slot and see if it works. If it does not, then you may want to consider calling National Instruments at 866-275-6964 and requesting a Return Material Authorization to get your device repaired. If you call in, you will probably be asked to go through a few more troubleshooting steps with an Applications Engineer to try and determine exactly what it is that might need to be repaired.
If it does work after perfoming th
e above test, post back to his discussion so we can troubleshoot further.

  • Multi Channel USB Data Acquisition

I am using the following VI for arduino HC-06 bluettoth data acquisition. I would like to acquire multicahnnel data
Could you suggest me how to acquire multichannel data from USB? To do this, in what way  i have to program the arduino?

Thank you very much for your suggestions. its working.
But if i give input to channel 2 or 3 or 4, they are not responding. only channel 1 is responding irrespective of input pin. what could be the reason for this?
earlier, i was acquiring single channel data at 57600 baudrate, i was getting pure sine wave signal upto 90Hz, after that it was started distorting.
Now, it started distoring above 20Hz, i think i need to increase the baudrate to 230400 to get 4 channel undistorted signal upto 100Hz,
but arduino supports upto 115200 only, what shall i do??

  • Data acquisition with highly accurate GPS time stamping (hh:mm:ss:sss UT)

A research group has developed a data acquisition system dedicated to daily observations of solar phenomena at radio waves using high time resolution (5-100 ms).
First, the analog signal from the antenna (1000-2500 MHz) is sent to a spectrum analyzer (HP8559-A). After that, the analog signal is digitized during 5 minutes in a NI USB-6009 device connected to the PC, before to be stored in a file. By that time, other acquisition data cycle is restarted and so on up to the end of day.
However, we need timestamp (UTC) the solar data at the beginning and end of each sample of 5 milliseconds, during all acquisition process, in order to have the UTC time information of recorded solar events. So, a time resolution of at least 1 ms is required.
A software permit us to read recorded data and visualize corresponding spectra during last 5 minutes. However, we need UTC time information in the format hh:mm:ss.sss UT. Then, UTC millisecond is important for us, but not available yet.
To solve this problem, we are searching for a high accuracy timing GPS receiver (on the order of microseconds or nanoseconds), with at least three significant digits of precision (UT time in milliseconds) and which give us the UTC signal at least each 5 milliseconds or even better (1 ms). However, most GPS receivers only outputs 1 PPS (Pulse Per Second = 1000 millisecond).
Then, we are open to a better addressing on how to solve this problem !!
We know that GPS time synchronization with PXI-6608 can be used to precisely timestamp data acquisition, but we have to solve this problem with a lower cost. Also, we require a PCI interfacing instead of PXI.
Do we have to use a timer card? How do we use a timer, GPS and USB-6009 to timestamp data acquisition? Does the NI PCI-6602 solve the problem?
    Obs:
The data acquisition software was developed in C++ Builder to run on a PC (Pentium III 2 GHz) under Windows XP environment. We used the NI-DAQmxBase driver to sample the signal from the NI USB-6009.
We are sure your expertise can help us on this matter.
    Regards,

I better explain my problem in the thread How to timestamp continuous analog data acquisition using USB-6009 and GPS timing board?
We are considering to use the PCI-1588 or a GPS timing board (low-profile slot too), but I´m not sure that the USB-6009 can be used to solve the problem.
How to syncronize the data acquisition and timestamps using USB-6009 and PCI-1588 with external GPS?
In other thread I would appreciate any suggestions for GPS timing board and PCI-1588 too.
    Regards,

  • Data acquisition from SPCM-AQRH-15 and Nano-ViewTM 200-2/M

I am trying to acquire data from APDs (PerkinElmer, SPCM-AQRH-15) and Nanopositioner (Mad City, Nano-ViewTM 200-2/M). The second equipment has USB 162 or 202 digital interface integrated but I am not sure abut the first one since I am still waiting my order. anyway, I want to control/communicate with both of them using your product, does anyone know what software and hardware I need? thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello Confuciusl,
I have been looking into the problem
statement that you gave us above and have some questions for you as well as
some answers. I am going to go with the basic understanding that we will be
using LabVIEW to not only communicate with your devices, but also for data
    acquisition and analysis.
In reference to your APDs (PerkinElmer,
SPCM-AQRH-15), I have looked at the data sheet for the product located here,
and have determined that the best method of communication with your device
would be to use some type of Counter/Oscilloscope card in a PCI/PXI standard.
This will allow for proper recording of your signal from your Output Terminal.
For more information on cards please refer to this link.
As for the second instrument listed, the
Nano-ViewTM 200 from MadCity, it mentions here that The Nano- View/M™
system includes the Nano-Drive™ controller and is compatible with user written
LabVIEW software. Since we do not have the capability to obtain the product you
are specifically trying to communicate, the best option at the moment would be
to try and contact MadCity and see if they have any specific Instrument Drivers
pre-built for LabVIEW that will allow you to communicate with your device. If
they do not, the next option would be to develop your own by following the
    guidelines at the following link.
Thanks again and have a great day!

  • I2C interface (Sensor Data Acquisition) LabVIEW

    Hi all!
    Hope you are doing great!
Well I have a question which is more about asking all you for an idea!
    The Situation:
I have a circuit board which has an On-Off Valve, Digital pressure sensors (manufacturer AMD) and Humidity/Temperature Sensors (make- IST Hygrosens). On the board all the sensors communicate as I2C slave devices and all the data from the sensors is read into an I2C --> USB adapter chip which further connects to the PC via normal USB cable.
Additional to this board, There is a Relay circuit with a simple 1-pole relay which controls an on-off valve on the above Circuit board. This valve is controlled totally separate via a coaxial cable from the relay directly to the Valve. But the relay board has a I2C interface and it also acts as a slave device. The relay board has the same I2C --> USB adapter chip.
Both the Relay board and Sensor board connect via USB to the PC which I suppose is the Master device.
The software code written for this arrangement and Sensor data acquisition is too old and there are a lot of problems coming. I have almost given up troubleshooting..
I now want to translate this automation system onto LabVIEW. I searched the NI website where there is a DAC card called - USB8451 which supports I2C interface... I am a beginner in LabVIEW and cant really make sense out of how should I go about implementing this system on LabVIEW..
If you guys can please help me out to atleast start (like what all hardware I would need etc..), to have a clear picture, it would be great help!!
Looking forward to your inputs and Thank you so much in advance!
    Cheers!
    Pramit

NI provides a LabVIEW API for the USB8451.  If you use the USB8451, you would use the provided API to write a program that controls the USB8451 and you would do all of the I2C communication in your program.  This would mean using functions / SubVI's to connect to the USB8451 and then perform I2C operations through it.
If you use USB already on your device, then you would probably use NI-VISA as the driver and have to get / write your own API to talk to the specific device.  The manufacturer may have a LabVIEW (or other) API available for talking to the device that you could get.  If not, then you would have to understand the details of how to communicate with the device and then write an API using NI-VISA serial functions.  This would mean making NI-VISA be the assigned driver for the device and then using VISA Serial functions / SubVI's to send the messages and receive the responses.

  • Driver missing - PCIe Data Acquisition and Signal .....

Hello, i recently used Boot Camp to install Windows XP on my 2010 15" Macbook Pro.
All the drivers are working (so far) and i haven't encountered many problems.
However, there is one thing bugging me:
When i go into Device Manager in Windows, and look down the list of installed/uninstalled devices, there is a device called "PCIe Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller" which has no driver installed.
I'm PC savvy, but i have never seen this before. My guess is that one of the motherboard drivers is missing, and Boot Camp installer doesn't include that driver?
Has anyone seen/resolved this, and if so, how?
    Thanks.
    Kaj.

    Okay, will do.
    Thanks.
Also i wonder if you could help with another problem?

  • Data acquisition from SR 530 lockin

    Hello,
I need to read the output of the sr530 vector lockin and store them in a file.
I was wondering if there is any driver which will let me read frequency, output amplitudes & relative phase between the input & output signal!
Any help will be much appreciated!
    Thanks a lot,
    Ashutosh.

Thanks a lot for the help Matt.
I can connect the device via GPIB. Let me tell you a bit more about the problem. As of now I was using a single channel lockin, EG & G 5209, to read the data(so I am kindda familiar wtih data acquisition... not much though). And the only thing I was reading was the output amplitude of the lockin.
Now I have to use the vector lockin, SR 530, and I will need to read both the output amplitudes, the phase & the frequency (all four of them)at the same time. And I am looking for a driver which can do this, i.e. which can read all four data simultaneously & store the result in a *.txt or *.dat file.
Do we have something like that?
    Thanks,
    Ashutosh.

  • Data Acquisition for Position Transducer

I just purchased an Analog Position Transducer from SpaceAge Control, and was wondering if anyone had any code to gather the data. I must admit i'm lost when it comes to this, I thought the transducer would come like an instron where you just plug it into the computer. I have a six pronged plug that exits the device. I have a couple TI data acquisition boards at my disposal. I am hoping someone has used a similar product or has some advice. Thank You
    Keith

We have lots of code to gather data in all sorts of ways. Building measurement applications is what we do. Since you are lost when it comes to this, you would do well to hire a guide in the form of an Alliance Member company. We do this stuff every day.
Your TI DAQ boards may do the trick, but you would have to show someone the specs for them. Also, you need to think about what kind of speed you require and where you want the position data to go. Table? Plot? Database? A good LabVIEW developer can set you up with some code that does exactly what you want.

  • Data acquisition time of ocean optics spectrometer

    Hi, LVers,
I has a S2000 multichannel fiber optic spectroscopy system. It includes two channels, master and slave. Additionally there is a channel labeled as 'LS-1'. I use labview and driver OOILVD32.dll to control this spectroscopy. In OOILVD32.dll, I use vi 'OOI SCAN' to acquire spectral data through master channel.
In vi "OOI SCAN", I disable all slave channels (there are 7 slave channels) and enable master channel only. However, I find that the data acquisition time is always approximately two times of the "sampling frequency" we set. E.g. for sampling frequency of 75 ms (a small value), the spectral data acquisition time is approx. 160-170 ms; for a sample frequency of 4000 ms (a large value), the spectral data acquisition time is approx. 8300-8400 ms, so on and so forth.
I am very confused with this phenomenon. I guess the most probable reason is that both master and slave channels are always enabled even one of them is software disabled. Because this product is discontinued, I can not find the manual. Anybody could advise me how this such a spectrometer works internally? Is there any multiplexing acquisitions inside?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Hello183,
Unfortunately, I do not know how your specific device works, however, I did find the product page for this device on the Ocean Optics web site, which points to the USB4000-series Plug-and-Play Spectrometer for more details. There seems to be a operations manual for this device. Perhaps this can shine some light on how the sampling works for your device as well.

  • How to achieve high usb data rate with cRIO-9022?

    Hi all,
I read the datasheet of NI-9022 and know that USB data rate can be 480Mb/s.
I want to transfer data with rate 3.6MB/s which is much slower than the spec, but the result is time out error.
I check my FPGA and RT code by save to RT disk and the result is pass. So I think my code should be correct.
Is that because the USB driver not installed into RT?
Should I install the USB driver into RT?
Or is there any other issue I haven't find?
    Thanks a lot.

According to this document: Data Storage Options for CompactRIO, depending on many conditions, such as complexity of processor
requirements, USB data can be transferred off the controller at
    approximately 700 KB/s.
Also, you don't need a driver to get a USB mass storage device to work on the cRIO. Have a look at this document:
Utilizing Features of the USB Port on My cRIO-901x or My cFP-22xx Controller
Not sure if these issues are causing timeout errors. What happens when you transfer data at lower speeds? Do you get timeout errors then?
