Descendants of many Members flagged with a UDA
Hi All,
I'm writing a calc script where I want to Fix on all of the descendants of many parents. The parents have UDAs to identify them, but the children are frequently changing, and will not have UDAs.
Is there a way to accomplish this?
I've tried
FIX(@DESCENDANTS(@UDA("Account","Candidates"))) and some other variations, but @DESCENDANTS only allows a single member argument, not a series of members.

Can someone suggest me a way to suppress members with certain UDA's in Planning Web Forms. We have few members (associated with a UDA) which we don't want to show up if we do a IDESC of a member, is there any way to address this.
Thanks...The only way you could do this is if you made the form suppress missing and/or suppress block and then copied data into BegBalance of the accounts you wanted to show. You can also hide that column although hidden columns still show for SmartView in all released version through 11.1.1.2.
Planning doesn't have a way to make use of UDA's with forms in any released version although it would be a really nifty feature.

Analyzer running slow with many members
Hi all!I have a cube with many members in one dimension (possibly up to 40K). The dimension has a flat organisation - a member can have several thousands children.EIS and the excel add-in handles this well, but Analyzer runs terribly slow with this dimension.What can I do to speed up Analyzer?Thanks for any help!
I had a similar problem and was told that Analyzer 7.0 can make a big difference. If course I was told that when Analyzer 7.0 was still in beta. I've just installed it on my system and have not had a chance to test it with the large dimensions yet, however it still seems slower than I would thinkis appropriate.

I receive many e-mails with zipped files. I can no longer open or unzip my files. A window welcoming me to Application Loader drops down. It prompts for an iTunes Connect login, but will no accept my iTunes login. I have no way to open or unzip my files. Help!!!!
Application Loader, unless there's another one I'm not familiar with, is part of the iOS SDK. That have usurped the .zip, or you may have removed that application but your Mac is still holding onto the mapping of Zip files to that application. Select a .zip file in Finder, Get Info, and go to the Open with section. Select Archive Utility and click Change All. That should fix the problem.

Many random issues with my Mac....Spotlght, Copy & Paste, Dragging, Printin
All of a sudden today, I have many annoying errors with my computer....
1) Spotlight does not appear in the top right corner, nor can I find a way to activate it there;
2) Copy and Paste doesn't work (Supposely I can COPY or CUT, but nothing PASTES or the PASTE is disabled in all applications such as Microsoft Word).
3) I cannot drag anything in Finder (can't drag files or icons into folders or into docks or anything; even when I highlight a file to drag, it doesn't even move the icon of the file anywhere on the screen as if it's been disabled).
4) It says ERROR with Printing when I try to print anything.
5) MIcrosoft Word is not running because it says my fonts have been corrupted and needs to be.
Did I catch a virus on my computer, or did something get corrupted that can fix or enable back these features. Everything's been working fine and then a few hours later all of a sudden, my computer is having these issues. I've tried restarting, running Disk Utilities, and nothing seems to fix these issues. Any suggestions???? Thanks!There are some simple troubleshooting steps you can take...
Repair Permissions then use your 10.5.x install disk to run repair disk.
Be sure you drive is not overly full. Rule of thumb would be over 85%.
(First, be sure you have a good backup, or create one now.)
Create a new User go to System Preferences > Accounts > "+" (make it an admin acct) and test the apps in this new account, if they work the problem is isolated to your User and not systemwide.
If the issue is limited to your user account try starting up Safe Mode (It will take more time to startup in Safe Mode because it runs a directory check.)
If your apps functions correctly that way, go to System Preferences >> Accounts >> Login Items, and remove them. Boot normally and test. If not go to/Users/yourname/Library/Contextual Menu Items and move whatever is there to the desktop. Then do the same with /Library/Contextual Menu Items. Lastly, try moving/Users/yourname/Library/Fonts to your desktop and restarting.
Log out/in or restart, if that sorts it start putting items back one at a time until you find the culprit.
If the issue is systemwide then,You may be able to repair this with the 10.5.8 Combo Update This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.

I'm converting from a PC to iMac. On the PC I have many Inbox folders with PR info for distribution. How do I get these folders from the PC to the iMac? I've used the Windows e mail Inbox folders for an easy access filing cabinet for years, as this all goes out on e mail. Thanks for assisting me!

Tapping phone number does not place a call. A flag with "COPY" in it appears instead.
I tap a contact and it only places a call automatically sometimes. Most often, I have use the keypad to make the call.
Instead of placing the call automatically, it puts up a flag with "COPY" in it.

Damsel in Distress.Try tapping more quickly and lightly. Tap-and-hold is supposed to bring up the Copy command, so the phone is interpreting your tap as a tap-and-hold for some reason.

At work we have many who travel with train alot, where the internet is very unstable at best. And they have trouble getting their e-mails.
So the question is if there is a way to increase the mail cache in iOS 7, to lower the dependency of a very poor internet connection.I don't think so. Unless it's in the settings, there's not much that can be done.
are they using wifi on the train? If so, maybe switching to cellular. There are devices like the Mifi, which is a battery operated portable wifi hotspot that they can connect their device to.
If the wifi on the train is solid, I know I've had issues using certain hotspots. For example, my yahoo mail simply will not pull down via the mail app if I'm on some AT&T hot spots. But if I go in via safari then it works. So if the signal is good, maybe using a different way can help.
Or maybe looking for a mail interface that isn't apple's. There are others in the app store that may have better function or more control. -

I wish to know how many members I have in my group. In the old address book I just clicked on the group and it told me but now it doesnt. PLease help
Scroll to the bottom of the list. If the contacts inside a group are just a few, there is no counter.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -

Restoring from backup will result in the iPod being like it was when the backup was made. If you restore via iTunes, you have to have all the synced media in your iTunes library since those are not included in the iPod backup.
