Descent system monitor/info app

Morning all
Does anybody know of a descent (hopefully free) app to let me see what apps/programs are running in the background so I can see what thephone is up to?
Many thanks

let me see what apps/programs are running in the background
No third-party apps can run in the background, so only the Apple ones (Mail, SMS, Calls etc.) could be running in the background - and they need to be running otherwise you wouldn't receive calls, SMS or email. There will be other system processes running too that handle networking, the file system etc. but they are not visible to the user and are not configurable.
so I can see what the phone is up to?
For what reason? Even if you knew what the phone was up to it wouldn't help you do anything. The iPhone is not like a Windows PC where you have a Task Manager, and loads of crap running that slows the computer down. The iPhone takes care of its own system maintenance.
The most you may have to do is reboot once in a while when buggy apps doesn't release memory properly when quitting.

  • Display "system description" in Solution Manager monitoring info

    Hi,
We have maintained the "system description" info for our satellite systems in SMSY:
    http://screencast.com/t/OTNmMjFiM
Is there any way to display this info in the Solution Manager monitoring info?? Without this description text and only with system "SID" info it is very difficult for our IT Managers to identify each system...
For example, in the monitoring Work Center (System Status tab), is there any way to add the "system description" as a column? We didn't find it any way to insert it...
    Example: http://screencast.com/t/ZGU0ZjJk
Is there any way too in the SL Reports to include  the "system description" info in the system overview?
    Example: http://screencast.com/t/ZDg4MGIyYj
Without this info it is really difficult for our IT Managers (from the NWBC) to manage the Solution Manager info and it is only useless for the IT Administrators...
    Thanks in advance,
    Jon

    Hello,
You can run report RSMSY_REPORTING01 to get the details that you are looking for you will have to work with the selection criteria.

  • SAP Mobile App System Monitoring = blank screen

    Hi guys,
I encounter problems regarding System monitoring App on Android. I followed the instructions in SCN wiki to setup the gateway and ODATA to enable the monitoring via the mobile app on android.
My app connects to the gateway without any errors but did not show anything. The screen is just blank (see attached file). I have setup one technical monitoring in my solution manager 7.1 SP7 (to monitor the solution manager itself). Do you have any clue whats going wrong?
    Best regards
    Marco

Unfortunately I can't try solman_admin, because I'm getting the following while try to access the data:
"No authorization to access Service '/AIGW/TECHMON_0001'"
I try to connect with my user and receive some XML data. But something is strange. As far as I know, the URL prefix should be "sap/opu/odata/AIGW" but this doen't work in my case. If I try "sap/opu/odata/AIGW/TECHMON" something happens, but I see no data (blank screen). Service Name is set to "TECHMON". While I connect to this url via web browser, I get the following XML data:
    <app:service xml:lang="de" xml:base="http://myservername.com:8000/sap/opu/odata/AIGW/TECHMON/"><app:workspace><atom:title type="text">Data</atom:title><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="EventCollection"><atom:title type="text">EventCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>Event</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="AlertCollection"><atom:title type="text">AlertCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>Alert</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="AlertHeaderCollection"><atom:title type="text">AlertHeaderCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>AlertHeader</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="AlertDetailCollection"><atom:title type="text">AlertDetailCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>AlertDetail</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="MetricCollection"><atom:title type="text">MetricCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>Metric</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="FavouriteCollection"><atom:title type="text">FavouriteCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>Favourite</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="FavouriteWithRefreshCollection"><atom:title type="text">FavouriteWithRefreshCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>FavouriteWithRefresh</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="FavPOWLCollection"><atom:title type="text">FavPOWLCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>FavPOWL</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="TechSysListCollection"><atom:title type="text">TechSysListCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>TechSysList</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="FavoriteTSListCollection"><atom:title type="text">FavoriteTSListCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>FavoriteTSList</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="TechnicalSystemCollection"><atom:title type="text">TechnicalSystemCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>TechnicalSystem</sap:member-title></app:collection><app:collection sap:content-version="1" href="ManagedObjectCollection"><atom:title type="text">ManagedObjectCollection</atom:title><sap:member-title>ManagedObject</sap:member-title></app:collection></app:workspace><atom:link rel="self" href="http://myservername.com:8000/sap/opu/odata/AIGW/TECHMON/"/><atom:link rel="latest-version" href="http://myservername.com:8000/sap/opu/odata/AIGW/TECHMON/"/></app:service>
Seems a bit to short in my opinion. The technical workcenter seems to be OK, there are no blank pages. Any suggestions?

  • Export System Monitoring App Performance Dashboard data in CSV

    Hello,
I would like to know if it was possible to extract the data of Solution Manager Dashboard (System Monitoring App Performance) inside a flat file ?
I found some information on this page :System Monitoring App: Performance - System Reporting in SAP Solution Manager - SAP Library
    The query name is
0SMD_DASH_SYSMON_PERFORMANCE and I would like to use RSANWB on the cube 0CCMPDATA to create a flat file but maybe they are a easier solution ?
    Thank you

  • My mac become so slow i can't use any app. All the time there is sound of hard drive but no swapping is reported by system monitor.

    Hi Folks,
recently my Mac after latest upgrade of Maverics 10.9.2 degraded performance dramatically to the point that when I switch from one app to another i should wait 30-40 seconds to get the response back from the System. The Hard drive is in use each time I click a mouse button. Sounds like an excessive hard drive usage usually caused by swapping. But System monitor shows Free memory ) Swapping and plenty of Idle CPU.
I tried to find the Process that might over uses the disk but all appear to be Ok. i couldn't spot any process that would over use the IO.
IO looks normal from System Monitor.
I checked the Apple Support whenever it is a defected hard disk issue but according to serial this Mac is not under disk replacement program.
Any tips on what should I do to find the root cause?

I have plenty of disk space 350 GB free.
I don't run excessive number of apps as you can see in top I have plenty of free Physical RAm plenty of idle CPU and IO is Ok too Swap is not in use means there is no lack of any resources
Even I f I quit all applications and use just safari the problem exists.

I don't run any MAc keeper like apps nor antiviruses . I don't trust them. I f I need to clean something I will do it myself
Happens in switch between all apps even between the tabs in safari
The only symptom I have so far is noisy hard disk
each time i switch apps or windows I hear hard disk doing something.
Makes me think it might be hard disk problem but fsck doesn't show any issue
    no bad secktors etc.
According to all diagnostics everything is Ok
That's kind of worries me not to be able to find the bottleneck having more than 20 years experience with UNIX

  • NI System Monitor. PXI chassis info? Where?

I am trying to update my system to LV 14 from 12.  However I used the NI System Monitor to read various temperatures and items from my PXI chassis.  It seems that the installer for NI System Monitor only works up through LV 12?  Is there a replacement?  Has this useful tool just been dropped?  Did NI just forget to update it for 2 years?

I am fine with the "Blue Bars".  Or any decent bar or brew pub, but the Documentation then should mention that for newer versions the functionality have been superseded or replaced with the "System Configuration" API.  I don't mind switching API, but a little pointer on the road map goes a long way in helping one stay on track.  Especially for those of us who sometims leap frog versions!

  • System Monitoring - Solman 7 EHP1

    Hi
    Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 / Windows 2008 / Oracle
Satellite System R/3 Enterprise extn set 110 / Solaris on Sparc / Oracle
I am having trouble configuring System monitoring on solution Manager. Here is what I have done
Added the satellite system to SLD, Configured data collector (RZ70) in the satellite system, Pushed data from SLD to SMSYS (automatic transfer).
Installed CCMS agent + CCMSPING agent in satellite system. Checked connectivity in solman with RZ21. Connectivity is fine.
Created Monitor sets and monitors in CCMS for monitoring satellite system. Client data is visible in CCMS.
Created a solution in DSWP. Created logical component in SMSY. Assigned the logical component to the solution. Now I can see the data in DSWP.
    Here are my questions
    ==================
    1. In DSWP, everytime I have to view data, I have to click on "Setup System Monitoring" to view the alerts in the satellite system
I see a red alert reading for instance availability. Similarly,
In the system monitoring workcenter, I see the status of both the solution manager and the satellite system greyed out with a cross. When I move my mouse over it, it reads, no CCMSPING data available.
Any idea as to why this happens?
    2. For what I see after I click on "Setup System Monitoring" I have parameters which I can configure. I see default values for these parameters. Is there like a recommendation or a template which can be used to setup these monitoring parameter values?
    3. I have configured the ccmsping in the solution manager (for the solution manager) however the ccmsping service refuses to run. It throws a error reading "The system could not find the file specified". The ccmsping exe file is present in the location stated. Are there other files that this is looking for?
    4.  While registering the agent in the satellite system, I first registered with the CSMREG id. It failed with the message,
INFO: [SMG:040:CSMREG] connected to SMG, host sapsm.NA.XXX.NET, System Nr. 00, traceflag [ ]
INFO: SMG release is 701 , (kernel release 701 )
            RFC Error Info:
             message:
             status:  EXCEPTION AUTHORITY_NOT_AVAILABLE RAISED
             intstat:
          Go Ahead anyway?  n/[y] :
    INFO: handling destination SAPCCM4X.SAPR3PR1.00
    ERROR: can't register at SMG. RfcRc = 2, AUTHORITY_NOT_AVAILABLE
    RFC Error Info for SALF_CSM_AGENT_REGISTER
    message:
    status:  EXCEPTION AUTHORITY_NOT_AVAILABLE RAISED
    intstat:
I then did this with a dialog user. That worked. Agent was registered in solution manager. Any idea on why this error would show up with the CSMREG? I am concerned about issues which can come up when the password for the dialog user changes.
I am not sure how to upload screenshots of what i see, probably if i do that, it will be easy to relate to the issue which I am mentioning here. Is there a way I can do that?
Let me know if you need any more information from my side to understand this.
    Ideas will be appreciated.
    thanks
    Ravi

    Hello Ravi,
Additionally you will want to look at SAP Note 1175058 - Problems with CCMSPING in SAP Solution Manager, especially
    c) Ensure that the message server host name in the monitoring options of CCMSPING and the message server of the corresponding main instance of the relevant system is the same in the SAP Solution Manager landscape
(SMSY). Important: The monitoring options of CCMSPING must not be configured using an IP address.

    Paul

  • System Monitoring with Solution Manager Ehp1

    Hi,
I'm Tomas Piqueres, and I'm working in a VAR SAP with Solution Manager.
Recently, we installed Solution Manager Ehp1 and we are trying to configure it for System Monitoring. When I worked with Solution Manager SP17 I used to go to transaction RZ21 to add the system I wanted to monitoring and then put the SID and RFCs of the system.
Now with Solution Manager Ehp1, when I create the system in transaction RZ21, first I have to set the Component Type to Be Monitored and then the SID, Message Server Logon Group, the client and user are set automatically, and the password I've set to user CSMREG.
when I fill all the entries, I can see the RFCs used for the monitoring of the system. Those RFCs are set automatically:
    <SID>_RZ20_COLLECT
    <SID>_RZ20_ANALYZE
I can't edit those RFCs, so I have to create it manually. I check that RFCs destination works fine and both pass the authorization test, so when I try to save the system at transaction RZ21, I see the following errors:
<SID>_RZ20_COLLECT_123539Error when opening an RFC connection
Error during remote call of SAL_MS_GET_LOCAL_MS_INFO function: Error when opening an RFC connection
Error during remote call of SALC function: Error when opening an RFC connection
Error during remote call of RFC1 function: Error when opening an RFC connection
I've been looking for information about those errors and how to monitoring with Solution Manager Ehp1, but I haven't found anything usefull.
    Please, Could you help me?
    Thanks and regards,
    Tomas.

    Tomas,
I need to configure EWA from my Solman system and I completed the steps (defining and creation of RFC destinations to the target systems from my Solman system).  I downloaded the lates ccmsagent file from the market place based my target system configurations.

  • System monitor for awesome

Im currently using awesome, its great except for one thing, there is no system monitor, like gnome-system-monitor for example. though I want something that dosent depend on gnome and displays remainning laptop battery time, aswell as mounted file systems, ram/cpu/network usage and a list of prosesses.

Here's what I'm using with dwm - probably good for dzen as well:
    dwm-mystats.sh
    #!/bin/zsh

You can play around a bit with the functions that get called/displayed in the main loop. It depends on zsh and makes use of this cronjob (in /etc/cron.hourly/pacsync):
    #!/bin/dash
    pacman -Syup --noprogressbar > /var/log/updates.log

  • SOLMAN 7.1 Technical Monitoring - System Monitoring - Host Grey

    Hi All,
Wondering why my host monitoring in system monitoring is greyed out? I managed to get Technical Systems, Database and others work well but not Host Monitoring.
I checked SAPHOSTAGENT is running fine, DAA and wily as well. Also, all updated to latest version. Template assigned to Host monitoring as well. All troubleshooting and logs leaves no clue.
Any idea as i've run out of ideas.....
    Cheers,
    Nicholas Chang

    Hi Roland,
I did check and below are what it returns:
Configuration XML 7.01.01.20120305075238 did not reach the agent. Agent XML:
No measured values have been reported by data provider.
No measured values were ever calculated.
However, when i click on the "FIX" icon, nothing appears........
I've changed the metric for "Host" managed object, assign and activate, rerun technical monitoring setting.
i dont find any useful thread on SDN nor SMP. I've drill to landscape browser, agent log, daa log, extractor and etc but to no avail. However, i did get host info on Wily and E2E.... just wondering???
    Any clues?
    Thanks,
    Nicholas Chang

  • Solution Managers System monitoring and CCMS/CEN

    Hi.
Could anybody enlighten me on the Role of  CCMS / CEN in the Solution manager Monitoring.
I have set up solution manager to Monitor my landscape. I have set up user defined limits and email alerts. These Alerts and the alerting agent - I assume - are carried out on the system being monitored.
Now the question - I want the Solution manager box to be the CEN and do the Alerting centrally (from the SM box)  -  Will the MTE's and Alerts that I have assigned and configured through System Monitoring use the properties set up though the CCMS?
I assume I will have to install the CCMS agents on all the target boxes - Will the Solution manager box process the Statics and send out the alerts from itself? If so How much workload does this place on the network and the box?
Why does the solution manager not act as the central processing and alerting box from the start? If we go through the effort of setting up the monitoring - why does it not set up Collection and Alerting at the same time?
    Any feedback will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Terry H.

    Hi Terry,
Solution Manager System Monitoring is using CCMS infrastructure, so we have two different ways to collect data (alerts) from the satellite systems, first via CCMS agents as you mentioned or the option to use RFC destinations to read the alerts. This can be configured automatically by SMSY in Solution Manager. The second option produces higher network workload, because every alert will be checked every 3 minutes, with agents only new alert values will be pushed.
I hope this info helps you

  • "Error in Solution Manager Self Check While performing System Monitoring"

    Hi All,
I'm running Solution Manager 7.1 SP8. We are running SOLMAN_SETUP Activities in Client 800, we are
not using the default client i.e. 001
I'm performing the "Solution Manager Self Check" in System Monitoring. When I execute
the Solution Manager Self Check option I'm getting an error message
    Text = BI Setup check
'MYSELF_DEST' failed - Reason: ;Incorrect client 800; use BI client 001
Action = The CCMSBISETUP job was not completed successfully. Please run CCMSBISETUP again from the
transaction solman_admin and/or adjust the corresponding BI objects in RSA1 if
    necessary.
Any Pointers, I am new to solution Manager, Will really appreciate your help.

    Hi Amit,
This is what info I could see in the table RSBASIDOC
    for Client 800
SLOGSYS        RLOGSYS       OBJSTAT  BIDOCTYP  TSIDOC3X  TSPREFIX
    XXXCLNT001   XXXCLNT001    ACT        ZSRA002                             RA
    and for client 001
SLOGSYS        RLOGSYS       OBJSTAT  BIDOCTYP  TSIDOC3X  TSPREFIX
    XXXCLNT001   XXXCLNT001    ACT        ZSRA002                             RA
I could see the same info in both the clients.
@ Amit: Could you please provide me any inputs

  • Maown - file system monitor for shared group directories

    Maown Info Page
I needed a way to manage ownership and permissions of files in a shared directory. ACLs and "chmod g+s" alone were not enough so I wrote maown.
Maown is a file system monitor written in C. It uses inotify to recursively watch a directory tree for file creation and attribute modification. It automatically chowns files to user:group and adjusts group permissions to match user permissions.
The package includes a daemon with a simple configuration file. Each line in the configuration file specifies a user, a group and a list of directories to monitor:
    <user> <group> <directory> [<directory>...]

Maown has been replaced with Autochown.
