Hi,
Can anybody tell me please why in repetative manufacturing production orders are not involved.. but planned orders itself acts as production order.

Hi Pavan,
The functionality has given by SAP to simplify the rem manufacturing to carry out the production with planned orders. If you have correct master data then MRP creates RS type of planned orders which are convertable to production orders and sufficient to carry out the production at shop floor. This will reduce the shop floor activities and ciontrolling with production orders.
There are lot difference between rem and discreate but the main diffrences are discreate is based order based manufacturing with production orders,,rem is period based manufacturing with planned ordrs. In discreate products changed frequently from order to order bur in rem the products will remain same for long period of time.

These are three ways of production in a industries can happen.
PP-discreet required where there will be discrete orders passing through a work center, here the capacity planning plays major role. i.e. if you have a lath machine, many orders are going through this lathe m/c and schedule plays very important role w.r.t lath as well as the product as the product has to go through many work centre. Every time the product many not be same can be different, but same work center can be used for many products.
In PPPI- We are mainly concerned with quality parameters and Process management i.e control recipe is configured in this module. But the difference is the o/p is almost same you will not change the product, but every step is very impartment to achieve the product quality. And it is entered by operator and approved by shift supervisor through control recipe function.
REM- mainly to reduce the data input by person working in SAP and in this case we are bother about period end costing not the each order level costing as the process is repetitive and one order is sufficient for the wile life. -

You have to use the user exit to achieve this.
The following are the 2 user exits available, use the suitable one for your requirement.
In the function module exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_003, an external number range XY is determined, against which the batch numbers are checked.
In the function module exit EXIT_SAPLV01Z_004, the batch number entered is checked against your own rules.

Any one used row repeter UI element. how do we use this in our application.
I have one case can we use it in this.
I need to add my input feilds in runtime.
means I have a input feild on my screen and a add button when I press add button,
I should be able to get another input feild in next line and i should be able to input values,
This should happen n times depending on requirement.

in that case you need to go for dynamic programming..
you have the class cl_wd_input_field which as a method new_input_field which adds an input field....
make sure that you cahnge the name of it every time you add.... initially try with only 1 input field.... you can get an idea of it when you work.

My problem is how to map this file to the following destination file where the single values of the source file are values of a child element in a list of complex elements:

Create a user defined function with 3 input parameters for number,shortdesc,projectname. In the user defined function check whether each input value exists or not.if the input value exists add the code 'result.addValue("")'.if the 3 input values exist then 3 item nodes will be created.
<b>Mapping for elements</b>
Create another user defined function with 3 parameter.take the 3 input values same as the above function. Check whether parameter a value exists in the element and write <b>result.addValue(a[0]);</b>Do similarly for b and c parameters. After defining this function add standard node function 'splitbyvalue' and assign to the target.
USedefined function---->splitbyvalue--
>value.
I guess this solution is a bit complex.....hope it works

Two repetative area, one for parameter listing , one for query data , are used in that pld.
When i tried to add one more Repetative area, i have seen that Add icons or menuprompt for Repetative area , is deactive.
So i cann;'t add repetative area in PLD.
Please help me

Yes, we cann't add more then existing two default repetative area
So for summary report, i will have to make new another QPLD with Same Query.
This is Greatest Limitation of QPLD.

PLD Freight in Repetative Area
Hi Experts,
I have 20 items in A/R Invoice, and have 1 Freight amount say at 1500/-
I am trying to give detail in the A/R Invoice PLD, for this I added one more Repetative Area, but the Freigt details are appearing 21 times (as many times the number of items there are in the invoice).
How can I make the detail appear only once in the another repetative area.
Is there any way to group the freight field, and prevent it from appearing more than 1 number of times

1. Create UDFs on Marketing Document header level - number of UDF
depending on the max number of Additional Expenses from the OEXD
2. Use query like below for UDF1:

like increase space between the fields etc

Repetitive Mfg : In process inspection procedure steps:
1. Material master> QM view> maintain Inspection type 13.
2. Create Rate Routing for the material, maintain the Operation and control key for Inprocess Inspection, assign the Master inspection Charateristics.
3.Do all the Planning and Execution of planned orders for the material.
4. Goto MFPR T code, enter the fields: material and Plant and Prod Ver. if you have.
Excecute inspection lot for material will be visible and release the Inspection lot for the material.
5. Goto QE51N Tcode and input the material and plant and execute, you will find the Inspection lot, input the results.
Hope this is clear.

By default SAP Print out also not executing row level datas, i dont why or any other procedure to enable row level datas..

While carring out repetative manufacturing scenario what are the details to be mentioned in production version in mrp4 in planning data like detaile ,rate,rough cut planning once maitained it shows an warnig like the date doesnot math with alternate bom,detailed plannig ,rate planning,rough cut plannig. the company does have repetative manufacturing scenario, how to rectify the error ,kindly help

1.Assign the REM profile in the MRP4 view of the material master and REM allowed indicator.
2.Assign the created rate routing and BOM inthe production version and also REM allowed indicator
inside the production version.
3.Rate routing can be created using CA21.
4.Assign the rate routing against detailed planning if you have assigned the routing selection id against
detailed planning in OPU5.Ensure your routing selection id is having the first priority to the rate routing.
5.Production versions can be created and modified using C223 or else using MM02 in MRP4 view.
Check and revert back.

you can use Summary Columns in the Data Modell. Create them on group higher that your wished group (so on the pane for an first group of a query), use as Source the primary column and as reset at the group, where the summary column is located.
If you hide some instances via format triggers, that you could use a counter inside the format triggers to count the rows.
