Describe Requirement Not going to Sourcing?

We have a setting for sourcing active as follows "Soucing carried out for Items W/O SOS" and as per my understanding, when I do a describe requiement, the SC should go to Sourcing even when the SC has supplier since this is only a preferred vendor. In the BBP_PD txn the sourcing indicator is Blank, Why is not going to souring ?

Hi All,
The solution is pretty simple, whenever you do a client Copy, the Sourcing entries become inaffective, and you need to delete and recreate the entries. Now Describe requirement does go to sourcing even after preferred vendor is selected (thats how it should be becuase preferred vendor is not a fixed vendor).
The reason for deletion might be because the entries in sourcing are driven by logical system. and where ever logical system is there, the entries need to recreated.
Thanks.

  • Select Preferred Vendor in Describe Requirement not working

    Dear all
We are in SRM4.0, Classic Scenario, R/3 4.6c backend
When I create a Describe Requirement and then go to Source of Supply tab to propose a preferred vendor, I am able to search for a vendor (valid for my POrg), to select one but it is not transferred to my SC.  Why?
I had the impression that it was working in the past but I am not sure and I don't what I changed to cause the problem
    Thanks for your help

    RD-
This does seem very strange and it does work in a standard system.  Given this it seems that you ought to look for any changes you have made recently - in particular have you done anything in the document change badi that might be causing the source to be lost?
Have you tried the scenario running bbpsc01 in gui mode - does the issue persist in that case?  If so check out HTML template changes?
Just my thoughts on your potential problem area.

  • Shopping Cart creation through describe requirement not working.

    Dear All,
We are in to technical upgrade of SRM 4.0 to 5.0 (CS). With SRM 5.0 we have ECC6 as a backend system.
On SRM 5.0, we could successfully create SC from Internal Goods/Services & against that shopping cart a PO gets created in backend. But when we try to create shopping cart from describe requirement the system throws following error messages,
    1.     Enter company code
    2.     No logical system for FI maintained. Inform system admin.
    3.     Error in account assignment for item 1
    4.     Error in partner transfer
    5.     Not possible to calculate tax
Plz, help to solve this error.
    Regards,
    Vivek

    Hi
Try to clear one by one error
What is the company code in BAsic data of SC?
Run a report BBP_CHECK_CONSISTENCY for that user for sc.
    Howerver verify these following configuration.

  • Critical: Requirements not transferred to sourcing worklist

    Hi,
    EBP 4.0 , SP11. Classic scenario.
We have configured in such a way that all the requirements after approval are transferred to the purchasers worklist.
But since the last one day 100% of requirements are not getting transferred to the sourcing worklist.
The status is shown as approved. The workflow is completed.
But the sourcing relevent indicator is not set in BBP_PDIGP.
Can someone please let me know if there are any system parameters, spools, etc. where there can be an error because of which the sourcing relevant indicator is not being set?
    Regards,
    Srivatsan

    Hi,
    Check following parameters:
    - in transaction RZ20 and SLG1 for any logs
    - in BBP_PD, find Your requirement and check 'Organisation' - PROC_ORG_RESP, PROC_ORG, PROC_GROUP and persons attached.
    - in SPRO -> SRM Server -> Sourcing -> Define Interactive Sourcing for Product Categories

  • Shopping Cart not going to Sourcing

Shopping cart is not showing up in Sourcing.  Shopping cart is approved but in BBPD the shopping cart says "In Transfer"
Sourcing relevant flag is "X" and we are using Extended Classic with SRM PPS 7.0.
    Any suggestions?

If your sourcing customizing is correct regarding source system ( Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Sourcing > Define Sourcing for Product Categories ), then check BAdI implementations for BBP_SRC_DETERMINE, BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS and BBP_EXTLOCALPO_BADI.
If one method of those BAdI is implemented, it could be in contradiction with your sourcing customizing...
Currently, in your case, even if your item is relevant for sourcing, you try to transfer this document to your backend-end ( in transfer status)

I recently had to get a new computer. It required me going from windows xp to 7 I am trying to put it one the new computer but I get following message  Windows installer could not be accessed could be in safe mode. How do I get around it? need it to charge my ipod on my computer.

I have used PCs for years, and still do at work.  But, last year my wife bought me a 15" MBP with the anti-glare screen (I was getting ready to buy for myself).  It took me all of 1 week to completely get used to the UI for OS-X, and now I really prefer it over the Win7 UI.  I have no experience with Win8.  Here are my thoughts:
    1) You can get a good computer using either a Win8 machine or a Mac.
    2) You will pay less for an equivalent PC.  But not as much less as some would have you believe.  You need to take into account the all aluminum body of the Mac (vs most PCs being plastic) and the size of the display.  And, don't forget that there is a lot of bundled SW on the Mac that you will actually find useful and would have to purchase for the PC.
    3) You can probably do everything you need on the PC platform with the right SW (you probably already know this since you are using one already).
That said, I think some things are easier on the Mac.  For example, GarageBand is a standard part of the Mac SW installation.  I got up and running recording directly from my bass into a track with a song imported from iTunes on another track in a snap.  I only had to purchase a Jam adapter ($99) for the bass so I could come in over USB instead of using the audio in port (which did work, by the way).  You can do the same on a PC, but you have to purchase the SW from somewhere.  And, it probably isn't cheap.
I use VMware Fusion to run those Win programs I already owned because it was much less expensive to buy Fusion than to replace them.
I would not return to a PC for my own use, given a choice.  But, I would be very careful about getting my wife a Mac without careful thought as she is not as tolerant of learning new things as I am.
    So, there you go.

    | This is a list of profiles which can be activated in a variety of ways, and which can modify
    | the build process. Profiles provided in the settings.xml are intended to provide local machine-
    | specific paths and repository locations which allow the build to work in the local environment.
    |
    | For example, if you have an integration testing plugin - like cactus - that needs to know where
    | your Tomcat instance is installed, you can provide a variable here such that the variable is
    | dereferenced during the build process to configure the cactus plugin.
    |
    | As noted above, profiles can be activated in a variety of ways. One way - the activeProfiles
    | section of this document (settings.xml) - will be discussed later. Another way essentially

    |
    | An encouraged best practice for profile identification is to use a consistent naming convention
    | for profiles, such as 'env-dev', 'env-test', 'env-production', 'user-jdcasey', 'user-brett', etc.
    | This will make it more intuitive to understand what the set of introduced profiles is attempting

  • Make Category id field blank in Describe requirement

    Hi all,
When ever we are going in Describe requirement tab its giving us the last used category id in the category id field. I know its getting filled in the global_data_filled.
We want to make this field blank when we go in this tab. Also I can not do any standard code change neither in template.
Is there any BADI by means of which I can achieve this?
    any help will be rewarded.
    Thanks
    Smita

    Hello,
There is no badi for this and the product category is a very determining field for the SC. Making it blank with development will cause many bugs and unwanted side effect.
A suggestion is to create a dummy category named "?", set it at default category in user attributes and implement the badi bbp_doc_check_badi to prevent a user ordering a SC with this dummy category.

  • Multiple line describe requirements

I have a question regarding the describe requirement process.  We are currently using the describe requirement functionality for requests that are three line items or less, however the business has informed me that they need the ability to do multiple lines, as in up to 100 lines.  Given what we have implemented today, our current solution is not going to fit this new requirement.  My question is, how are other companies handling similar issues?  Is there other delivered transactions that I should look at that might fit this need?
    Best regards,
    Shawn O'Connor

    Hi Yann,
I'm referring to transaction BBPSC01.  We are then selecting the describe requirement link.  This brings up six fields for the user to enter (Description, Internal Note, Quantity/UOM, Price/Currency, Category and Required on Date).  This process works fine for a small number of line items but we need a way to enter 100 line items in a time efficient manner.  As it exists right now the user would create their first line, then copy it to create a second line and update the data.  This is too cumbersome for a large number of line items.  I'm wondering if there is another way that is easier to enter multiple line items.
    Best Regards,
    Shawn O'Connor

  • Workitem not going to a particular user id

    Hi,
I am having a workflow container element APPROVERLIST which stores the ids of the users to whom a particular workitem should go. But for a particular user id , the workitem is not going to that person, rather it is going to some other user ids. I checked  if that id has been substituted but that is not the case.
Are there some other areas where I can check exception?
    thanks in advance.
    Abhishek

    Dear all,
I have checked all the above scenarios.
There is no excluded agent existing . The bindings are correct. Let me describe the scenario little bit more in detail.
APPROVERLIST is a workflow container element ( multiline ). This container element is populated in a particular task. This task fetches the user ids from a table and stores it here.
In the next task which is a foreground task, in the "agents" APPROVERLIST is mentioned against EXPRESSION , so this workitem will go to all the users who are in APPROVERLIST.
Agent assignment is maintained correctly. Its not working for one particular id. Is there any place to check this outside the workflow design?
Also I checked the user id, it is existing.
    regards,
    Abhishek

I have maintained in the extended attributes for all the Product category of the user department with Source system.
But still when I create SC with described requirements I get the error as "Enter the Company Code".
Kindly any one suggest some solution for this issue.

  • Computer not going to sleep when lid closed

My wife's new MacBook Air has a couple of problems we can't figure out.  First sometimes the computer is not going to sleep when lid is closed and when we lift the lid everything is frozen.
Second, the user Library folder is not seeable in her user account.  I know it's there because on the side bar there's a short cut to Preferences folder which we can open.
    Strange behavior.
    Thanks,
    Ron

    Ron,
The user library folder (~/Library/) is hidden by default in Lion. I assume Apple doesn't want people mucking around with the sensitive files in there. So this is normal behavior.
As for the freezing issue, I would suggest you reset your power management and perform a safe boot to clear out caches. You should also see if the issue persists after disconnecting USB perhipherals.
    Here's how:
    Power Management:
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
    Safe Boot:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).

  • When SC is partially rejected my manager no workitems are not going to user

    Hi Gurus,
    Below is our requirement:
Requester (User) creates a SC of multiple line items. Shopping cart is rejected by the manager for a particular line items and rest of the line items was approved, for the rejected line items workitems are not going to requestoru2019s inbox and also e-mail is not triggered to requistioner.(Informing that the SC is partially approved)
Help us how to implement the above functionality? We have figured out a BADI- BBP_WFL_SECUR_BADI will this BADI suit to our functionality.
IF then throw some input on this. Or please suggest any OSS note related to this functionality.
    Regards
    Paul

  • PO Creation with Describe Requirement

    Hello All and Happy Holidays,
I am using SRM 5.5, ECS and I have a couple of questions
    1) How can I force the describe requirement to create a PO automatically (I can force the user to fill in price and Preferred vendor but is there anything else we need to do in the follow on document badi?)
    2) I want to create invoices for the PO's before the GR is done, but the system is not letting me do that, I have checked th PO and the GR-Bsd Inv field is set, I think it is validating me to create invoice before GR, how can I fix this.
Please let me know if anyone have some ideas.
    Thanks and Happy New Year.
    Sreedhar

    Hi Mani,
You can also use bbp_doc_change badi to convert a preferred vendor into a fixed vendor in your SC.
Checking the price field not empty and converting preferred into fixed vendor enable you to create a complete PO.
Please see my answer in this thread :
