Design Change

Hello,
I have been looking into iWeb since i got it (about 1 week ago) and i found it really easy to use and quite good if you don't know much about the HTML,Web Design thing.
One thing i would like to do is to change a bit of the design on the different pages. for example i don't like the flashy red that comes in the main blog page (summary of the blog entry) and i would like to change it to, say orange. How do i do that? I didn't find out how to. Also, when i change a the font, color of a blog entry how do i do so it is applied to all the new entry i do?
I have looked around for a solution, but nothing really comes up. I think it's because basically there are these special fields that we can't change. too bad.
Also is there any new templates around?

strange, it seems you can change the color of most everything but the title of the entry on the summary page, as you stated. changing it of the entry itself will change the entry name, but not the color.

I got the answer, we have to enable the port 80 or where the access service is deployed and we have to change Trust setting and also, enable the macro from Access.

Design change or install problem

My upgrade to Aperture 3.01 went relatively smoothly. It is now up and running and generally I am satisfied. There are two annoying issues and I am wondering if they are a design change or related to a problem with my install.
I can not scroll through the full screen images using my scroll wheel. Thumb nails scroll fine but larger images do not respond.
I can no longer see my aperture library in my desk top setting to select images for background display.
Am I along here or is everyone else who upgraded now missing these features?

Not sure what you are using to scroll, but I can confirm the two-finger swipe using the Magic Mouse does scroll through the images in fullscreen mode as well as the thumbnails in the browser.
As for Aperture not showing up in the System Preferences -> Desktop, they may not be there immediately when you first install Aperture as the Desktop function seems to need to be refreshed. I would think if they do not appear, restart the computer and you will see them. There will be a disclosure triangle for Aperture that you need to open to reveal your projects etc.

I understand the design change to the whole "save as app" tab, but I feel that Save and Quit feature from the previous version of Firefox is much better than this "app tab" feature. Is there anyway for me to have this back?

Restore previous session button available on my Firefox homepage is great, but what I really want is the Save and Quit feature. I have always felt that its one of the best features of Firefox, second only to search address bar directly leading me to the actual page. I read some threads about this, and found the answers very unconvincing. One of the suggested ones was "Pin as app tab" . No, I don't want to pin every tab that I want to visit say, thrice as an app. Second suggestion was, click on the obvious button on the homepage to restore the tabs(this took me quite a while to actually see). Why this change in design? This is identical to Chrome's but its very inferior to what Firefox already had. Is there anyway, without downgrading of course, I can get that feature back?

Okay, I found the answer myself. Going to about:config and setting browser.showQuitWarning to true, restored that option and brought it back. Thanks to anyone who is about to post. If this is false by default, it has got to change.

Query Designer : change in charactristic

Hi Experts,
I have changed long text and short text of one charactristic but it is not reflecting the new name in reports.when i checked it in query designer on the left hand side under Dimensions it is showing me the new name but in Free charactristics it is still displaying old name and so in reports. Is there any solution to this?

Thanks you so much for quick replies. The thing is the charactristic was already there in reports. Now i canged the long text in the infoobject and activated it. but in query designer under free charactristics, it is not changed. i tried to regenerate query from RSRT but not helping. I think as Dirk mentioned it is not getting changed at this level automatically , but do i need to change this char in every report where it is used manually? there is no any other solution?

Employee Designation change problem

Hi,
I need to change the designation of the employee based on the employee personal number.
I have given the personal number in PA41 and i try to change the employee group and subgroup in change actions.
But when i change the date to currect date means its showing error.Otherwise when i didnt change the date means its coming properly.the desingnation getting changed.
What is the correct procedure to change the designation of the employee.

Please explain how are you changing the designation in PA41 ( are u changing the position also? ) and what error message you are getting after that. May be after that we can find a solution.

Eclipse BPEl Designer -Changes to bpel.xml not saved

Is it possible to save changes made to bpel.xml file while using Eclipse? I was trying to set up preference properties in that file.
Any say?

According to our experience, JDEV BPEL Designer encoutered the same problem, you'd better modify the bpel.xml descriptor using external editor such as ultraedit, and save it.
Modification of bpel.xml works fine for the first time, but often rolled back to the former edition once I restart the JDEV designer. Guess it is a bug.

WAD design changes

Hi,
I have 2 points to clear.
1. WAD designed some object and view in portal, again i have done some changes in design and seen in portal that new changes not reflecting in the design. Kindly guide me.
2. Like bex analyser how i can keep lot of filter fields in dash board.

1. After making changes to the Template in WAD, save and validate the template.
Close the Portal application & re-login to the Portal & execute the template or just execute the template from WAD after closing down the Portal Application.
The changes take some time to come into effect.
2. Use the 'Filter pane' Web Item and assign it to your Analysis Item.
By default, it will be on the characteristics defined as the filter in the query.
You'll get an option to use a Manual Filter or a use a filter on the Listed values.

Importing design changes from Multisim to Ultiboard

Hi. I have designed a schematic in Multisim and exported the design to Ultiboard for making the PCB. Once I have placed the elements in their location in ultiboard, I would like to do a minor modification to the design. But when i apply the change to schematic in multisim and export it again to Ultiboard, the parts locations will turn back to their original placing and I have to place them again from the beginning. Is their anyway to make ultiboard understand that just import the changes from Multisim ?

What you need to do is Forward Annotate (Transfer menu) the design from Multisim to Ultiboard. This action will only update the changes you make in the schematic.

Report Designer change color

I created a report using Report Designer and would like to change color of the field base on the data criteria.
I want to add code using Report Function, but I am not sure how to enter code there and which language I can use.
Can you please advise me a example how to do the task?

Hi,
it's a setting...
just select the section you want to change to another place, and then select the tabpage "properties"
There you have an option : 'position'
The first section in your report (top of page) has position 1, the second position 2...
So if you want to swap the last section to the first place, just change the position to 1...

Default design change after changes in breakpoint

I design the default page with box 1, 2 and 3 horizontally aligned. I create a breakpoint and change the defalut so that box 1 and 2 are still hoizontally aligned but 3 has moved down (and happens to be bigger). When I go back to default, box 3 moves to the center of the horizontal alignment.
Default:

Box 2
Box 3
Breakpoint changes:
Box 1
Box 2
Box 3
Default after breakpoint changes:

Box 2
Need to know how to fix this. Any ideas? Is this just a bug? If so, it's a pretty big one that makes Reflow lose a lot of it's function.

Incopy won't update design changes made in InDesign

Hi,
I'm using InCopy CS3 and InDesign CS3 on macs.
When our designer updates the design of the document (i.e. changes sizes of text boxes, etc.), incopy users do not get the yellow caution sign letting users know that their current version is out of date and that they need to update the design.
Strangely, incopy users are only notified that the design needs to be updated when our designer creates a new assignment.
Any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

Web Application Designer: Change Table Chart to Line Format

Dear Experts,
We, as novices of the web application designer, encounter a problem in using this program. After having created a Chart table, we cannot changed it to the line format.
The things that we perform are as follows:
1) Right click and choose lines format
2) Give it all titles
3) Click Next until finish
However, the result is still the chart table. Is there anyone who kindly give me steps of how to change it.

Please try the following:
1. Highlight the chart.
2. In the Web Item Properties for chart, go to Edit Chart.
3. Click on the ... incon
4. Pick Lines
5. Pick a type of Lines graph.
6. Follow the wizard to change the required properties.

Does the mobile design change when you change the desktop design?

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if there's a way to set things up so changes to the text in the desktop design are reflected in the mobile designs? If I make changes to the text in the Desktop version of the site design, is there a way I can have those changes happen automatically (dynamically) in the Tablet and Mobile versions?

It would also help to know what fraction of text copy is identical across renditions (desktop/tablet/mobile).
