Design , Config, NWDS and Flow of messages in SAP PO 7.31

Hello Experts,
I am assigned to File -> SAP PO 7.31 -> ABAP Proxy Scenario. I never worked on SAP PO and searched to find the related stuffs but nothing really helped me.
I am just perplexed to start from unseen boundary.Hope to receive some support from the experts.
1. Where to create DT , MT , SI and other design objects. Should it be there are NWDS or at SWING UI.
2. What about the config objects?
3.Any sample scenario tutorials so that it can shed some inputs.
4. Just then, whats the flow of messages in the SAP PO...
5. Any real time questions which can hit my continuous stream of queries.
Thanks
Rebecca

Hello,
1. Where to create DT , MT , SI and other design objects. Should it be there are NWDS or at SWING UI.
>> It hardly matters which UI u are using to create ESR objects becoz functionality wise both provides same features (in case ur version is >= 7.31 SP06), so u can use either one of them. Personally speaking, i am working on PO since last 2 years and still using swing UI to create ESR objects, but having said so it's better to get acquainted with new tool as well.
2. What about the config objects?
>> For ID objects, it's advisable to create IFlows. Just search SDN u will get tons of blogs on the same.
4. Just then, whats the flow of messages in the SAP PO...
>> In PO (i believe u are using single stack version), message executes and passes through AEX. Check this for more details, but in case u have any specific doubts u can post ur questions here:
https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/en/31/57765aef5042028eda03f2833aedd1/content.htm
5. Any real time questions which can hit my continuous stream of queries.
>> Ur scenario looks straight forward, just make sure u have created destinations on PI and ECC to enable proxy connectivity.
Thanks

  • Triggering and view XML messages in SAP AMI

We have  configured the AMI. Also setup the AMI enabled devices.
We have created Meter Reading Orders for the periodic meter reading as bulk .
But the creation of MROs does not trigger creation of XML messages.
We found the Enterprise Service responsible for meter reading order Request Smart Meter Meter Reading Document Creation as Bulk SmartMeterMeterReadingDocumentERPBulkCreateRequest_Out
But the XML messages are not getting generated on MRO creation. Also no XML message generated on AMI enabled device creation. Would like to know where we can view the generated XML and also trouble shoot.
Thanks in advance for the information

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for the informaiton , I could go into SXMB_MONI  with date and time stamp to view the XML message, still i am not able to view it.
Is there any thing specific needs to be configured to have the XML message in SXMB_MONI
The process we are following is we are creating periodic meter reads and using the transaction ELMU Customized to our needs to trigger the SmartMeterMeterReadingDocumentERPBulkCreateRequest_Out . Are we following the right approach.
Can you provide the check points.
    thanks,

I am running InDesign CS5.5 and trying to open an In Design File but getting an error message. " Cannot open the file "PDavidLCover.indd". Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file me be open in another application."Please help I really need to get this file open.

Since you've shown us the folder contents it's a good bet it isn't in use (no lock file). And it doesn't look like the file is mis-named as there doesn't seem to be anything else there that would be the .indd file (but just in case, open it in TextEdit and paste the first few lines here so we can see what the file header says), so the most likely case is the file is damaged. Is that on a removable device of some sort?
You can try the tool at Repair corrupt InDesign Adobe files on Mac OS X  or send me a link to the file by private message and I'll try the recovery tool I have for Windows.

  • Resources for designing data types and message types

    Hi
I wanted to know if anyone can recommend me some good resources which can explain the design considerations for designing data types and message types in XI which can help promote reusability.
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Kiran

    hi,
there no rare rule whe you define your data type, why i tell you this, because you define a data type since the documentation that sender sistem team gives to you. so you only have to copy this structure to PI.
now about Message Type less problems, because, you a Data type is assign to a Message Type, whats it means.
when you define a DATA type you are defining the structure of you XML, que you assing the data type to a message type this structure pass to be an xml document.
    Thanks you

  • How to validate and return error message

JDev 9.0.5.2 ADF UIX and Struts
    Scenario:
I have a uix input page with 2 view objects (VO1-updates an entity object, VO2-sql viewobject, no entity).
I have a Save button and its event where I want to handle the validation check and then commit the data. I need to manually check the VO2 fields in java and if none of them are populated, I need to stay on the same page and return a message. If one of the fields is populated, I need to save the data in VO1 and insert the values in VO2 into a table using java.
I have been looking at the dataForwardAction class for the page but I am not sure if I should be overriding methods and which ones, as well as how to remain on the page if VO2 does not have at least 1 value populated with a message to the user.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hmm, I believe while, ActionError.GLOBAL_ERROR is a static string variable, it is used to hold the value that identifies the global error properties. I know I add multiple errors to global errors. Regardless, instead of ActionErrors.GLOBAL_ERROR you can use your own property, such as "test". Then on your jsp page you can use this tag: <html:errors property="test"/> and it should pull the relevant action error information. The value "context.errors.password.bad" by the way refers to a value in your ApplicationResources.properties file or whatever message resource file you have designated in your struts config as default.

  • Problems with parity and flow control using visa serial

I am trying to create a basic user interface with the options that my
company uses most often for a force indicator.  You can configure
the indicator over serial, as well as read the values off the
indicator.  I am trying to create the user interface so that using
producer/consumer loops with events, once you change a value, it will
write that new value to the serial port, ie the device.
The problem I am having is transfering the parity and flow control
values for the serial config to the Basic read write VI.  The
problem is that once the consumer loop executes, it will write the
values correctly to the VI, but then the outer loop executes 200 ms
later and clears the values.  I know that this is normal behavior
and that in order to keep the values stored, normally you would use a
shift register.  I tried to use this and had some issues with
correct data types/array mis-mtaches, ets, so I created an indicator
and had a local vaible read the indicator, which seems to be working
for the stop bits, read bits, baud rate, etc, but not the parity anf
flow control.  I always get "blank" outputs for theses values (if
you enable the digital display you can see that they are outputing the
value 0 which correspondes to None in both cases, which is
correct).  Even though it appears that it is outputting the
correct value, I get an error that says the VISA property is
invalid.  I initally did a search and found that my stop bit
control was wrong (outputting double instead of integer), but I could
not find anything on the parity/flow control issue.  I even tried
to copy the serial config controls from the basic serial read/write to
my dialog box and that did not work either.
I would be grateful for any suggestions.
    Thanks

I should add that I am using LV 8.0 and that the serial config

    Hi,

    the messages under goes this
    a) Receiver Determination:
This steps determines the system that participates in the exchange of the message.
    b) Interface Detremination:
For each receiver determine which interface will should receieve the message.
    c) Message Split:
If more than one receievers are found, XI will instantiate new message for each receiver.
    d) Message Mapping:
Mapping to transform the source message to destination message format.
    e) Technical Routing:

  • Tracing execution and standard Forte message filters

    Hello,
During the process of tuning an application, or just of making it work, it
is useful to trace the flow of processing.
There are two ways of doing it :
    1) add your own trace instructions (calls to the LogMgr) at the appropriate
    places,
    2) use the traces of the Forte Interpreter !
If one relies on solution 1, then it relies on what the developers have
written (and thus sometime forgotten to write !) in their code.
If one relies on solution 2, then potentially it can get as much information
as is available to the interpreter (and the debugger ?), in a fully
independant way since it uses directly the code itself and not added trace
    instructions.
So solution 2 seems quite interesting.
Unfortunately there are some potential problems :
    a) I haven't found in the documentation an exhaustive description of the
logs the Forte tools do. The only and very short description is on page 148
of the System management Guide. It's far from being exhaustive. So it
    requires playing with the filters.
I recommand trying trc:in:1-63. I guess "in" stands for the interpreter.
    - level 1 seems to give the call tree,
    - level 255 seems to give almost the code !
    b) since the flags are not documented by Forte, how reliable and stable will
they be in future versions ?
    c) what happens for compiled partitions is not clear to me (I have not tried
    it yet).
So my question : are the message filters used by the Forte Tools like the
interpreter described somewhere, i.e. in some Tech Note (I don't have access
    to them yet) ?

    Pierre Gelli,
level 255 is the most detailed you are right on tracing..... As for documentation
you will want to get ahold of several good tech notes that your Forte
rep or support can get you which provide alot of the info you are after.
Let me know if you can't do this and I can send you some of this info, but you are
best to get the latest and greatest directly from Forte.

  • Need to get SOAP request and SOAP response message.

    Hi All,
I need to know that how can I get the SOAP request and SOAP response message. Now I am using WSDL2Java tool from Axis to generate the stub classes (such as ServiceLocator, SoapBindingStub, and soapPort ) and applying the classes to make the SOAP request. I have seen the solution for getting the SOAP request with Dynamic invocation interface (DII) style (http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/ws-soap-user/200310.mbox/%[email protected]%3e), but not Static stub like what I did. Could anyone suggest me how to do it please ( I can't run tcpcom on the linux server, because x-window is not allowed to install ). Thank you for any help in advance.

You can try writing a client-side handler.
Handler gets called before the actual request is sent, and you can get the SOAP
    message in it.
You have to deploy the handler in client-config.wsdd.
Handler is just like Servlet Filter.
I think there might be a simpler solution, but I dont know.

  • Iphoto and Mobile me message

I am tired of the messsage that mobile me has been discontinued and I can either learn more or click ok to move the albums.    I don't have any albums and don't weant to know anymore about this.  Is there a way to get rid of the message.
    thanks
    Dan

No actually that's a whole different subject. The setting in Entourage to which you refer is called "Show attached pictures and movies in messages" which places attachments inline when you are viewing an incoming message. In order to compose a message in Entourage with an inline picture, you have to paste or drag the picture into the body of the composed email rather than into the attachment area.
With iPhoto '08, if you wanted to email a picture you clicked a button and it opened up what ever email client I use (Entourage in my case) and placed the picture inline so I could type my message (of any length) around it. With iPhoto '11, there is no way to do this. The choices are: 1) you click a button and get a template-driven smtp portal built into iPhoto that allows for a small Twitter-like blurb that generates a warning if you've typed too much (which isn't much), and you have to make sure that the smtp that you want to use is saved in it. 2) you drag the picture into the icon on the dock, but this automatically creates an attachment email, not inline. 3) you compose a new email, set it side-by-side with an iPhoto session, and drag the picture (not while it's open) into the body of the composed email. This creates it inline. My argument is that this is a set-back that didn't need to happen. For some reason, the iLife designers decided to dump that functionality and force us to use a template-driven built-in smtp with limitations on description field. I really don't understand the design logic. What were they trying to improve? I find it annoying -- and it's not the only thing.
