You can open the Code Inspector Window to have the code completely separate from the Design/Document window. You can also then move the CI window to a separate monitor if you like.
Window > Code Inspector or F10

Design screen blacked out

Morning All
Have had no luck finding posts about this: my design screen in crystal reports XI is blacked out and I cannot see the firleds or anything I have previously placed there.
It is like this with all my previously developed and new reports. The preview screen is fine.
Any assitsance would be much appreciate.

Thanks. A colleague was able to assist. The report options 'Grid' setting was on making the design screen appear densely coloured.

possible before proceeding...
I'm working on SAP CLOUD STUDIO and new to it, working on a Custom solution, by clicking on the preview we will see the screen with all the elements we created in business object and designed in the UI component, on the top we will see 'IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT NOT YET LIVE'. then for every changes we made in the business object and activate, the changes will not replicate to the designer screen, so we are deleting all the UI Components for that business object and again creating the screen for our business object then we need to design all the elements by clicking on the designer tab at bottom. If our solution is already deployed and is on live, then we can understand the changes we made in the business object will effect the live screen of the solution, but as we in the development of the solution which is not live, is there any way to over come this part with out recreating the screen for the changes made to the business object.

How the below form will be created with left pane having the read only functionality, right pane with object value selector. I created the form pane with additional list pane and trying to add the row names for the left side, can any one give the steps to complete this form.

Couldnt add an Element within VC Design screen area

Hi,
I'm not able to place any elements (iviews,page, or comments) on the design area once i've created the Model.
The Add Element screen area is empty so there's no way to
drag & drop these.
Please advice what might be wrong.

I figured out the problem. I didnt install Adobe SVG Viewer 3.0 on the client machine, once i had installed
the same i could see the contents in the 'Add Element'
screen area. Anyways thanks for the reply. I'll reward
2 points for the same. By any chance do you know
the reason behind why i couldnt view any data in the table
view preview screen. following is what i did:
a) Dragged a Table inside the design screen area
b) Dragged a query inside the table area,
   at this point system displayed message 'Retrieving meta
   data info'
c) after this tried to do the preview , there was no data
   neither fields that was displayed.

Content moves position between design screen & preview

All the content is in the correct position in the design screen, but when I click on preview it moves various elements down below the area where I designed the site. What would be causing that to happen? This is not a live site, yet.

These three things can be produced inside Muse, giving you more flexiblilty with design and placement. Using the HTML function is fine, but I would only use it if Muse can't accomplish what I need. It's hard to find a solution for you, since you are using code from outside sources. You might have to breakdown the HTML code you are importing to find the problem.
Not sure how comfortable you are using Muse, but I would try creating them with Muse.

Server-Side Includes screw up my design screen in Dreamweaver

I have a .html file (which resides in my include folder) that
was generated by an external program (one the merges and filters
RSS files).
I've created an .asp page and pull the .html file in using

It pulls the data into the design view but not the code which
is fine. But in the desing view I can't access anything. It looks
screwy. I can't add anything else to the page. But...when I upload
the page onto the internet it works like a charm.

can I do to fix this?

No doubt both the include file AND the parent page contain
<html>, <head>,
and <body> tags. That's a nono for sure.

How to duplicate rectricted key figu00FDures in design screen ?

I defined a RKF in BEx analyzer screen. Now I want to duplicate it 40-50 times. But there is no such an option.
Does any body know how can i do this basic copy-paste function in BW?

hi,
use the function module RSZ_I_COPY_QRY_TO_CUBE_SINGLE.
In the field COMPUID you need to enter the ELTUID out of the Table RSZELTDIR. There Your SOurce-Key-Figure can be searched via the field MAPNAME. Then copa the eltuid and paste it in the field of the Functionmodule.
Source Cube and Target cube should be the same.
In the field COMPID of the Functionmodule, enter the name of the key-figure you want to create.
Excecute and check the E_T_MSG: If No 146 appears, everthing worked fine.
Leave the QueryDesigner and go into it again and the copied KeyFigure is there.

Gray Designer Screen - Requires Restarting App

In the .jsp design pane, I accidentally dragged and dropped a Component Label onto a Multi Select List box. This causes the design pane to go completely gray. Deleting the components, doesn't restore the page. I need to restart the app. This is repeatable.

The desgin view does get greyed out and the project needs to be closed and reopened to get back the design view. The solution that Manjunath has given seems to work on Windows XP machine but not on a Windows 2000 Pro machine. Could you pls tell us what platform you are working on?
I have also filed a bug for the same already.

Designing Screen in RFID device

you would need to develop module pool program to achieve your objective.
Later you can configure the sap console and the default web service through IIS server on your computer
Once this is done you have to configure your RF device in the same network as the PC is in.
In the RF device you can use the browser to call the transaction you developed.

Blank design screen

last night i was working on a webpage and as i saved and
closed the file, my design page went blank. now when i open up any
.html page in dreamweaver it no longer can be viewed in design
mode. the source code is still there when i view it in source view,
and when it is in split view the code is there but the design panel
is blank. i have absolutely no idea what happened. i have closed
dreamweaver and then restarted it. i have also restarted my
computer. i have opened up a different site folder that i have
saved on my computer and the same thing happens. however, when
preview any .html in a web browser it works fine and i can see it
perfectly. so something is messed up with my design view. any help
would be greatly appreciated. i'm running dreamweaver 8, on mac os
x10.4.

create a new page, and drop an image on it. Do you see the
image?

MAS - Title design screen is blank

Hi all,
I have a problem, on MAS 5, sp09.
When I double-click a title, the design window don't open (it does the property window).
So I make double-click again and the design window is showed, but is blank.
The preview window looks fine.

Screen design

i have to design some data entry screens and update custom tables. what are the tips for screen design or the process flow ? any tip will be helpful..

I didnt get your question exactly but if you want to design screen , open the transaction se51( Screen painter). Mention your program name and a screen number ( 4 digit number) and click on 'create' and give its description.
First create the layout ( layout tab ) of your screen ie. the various components ( raadiobutton, text , any table ) and give unique name to all the components. for creating these component , just use drag and drop.
now comes the programing part, first click on the 'Flow Logic' of the screen. you have two standard events here ie PAI and PBO which includes two commented module. In PBO ( process before output) create a module for what ever operation you want to do on screen before displaying it. In PAI ( process after input) create a module for what ever operation you want to do on screen after displaying it or any user action.

The Firefox home screen "Different by design" keeps popping up even after disabling it in preferences.

I have installed the new Firefox on my Mac, OSX 10.6.8 by dragging the icon into Applications folder. I launch the app and the Firefox "Different by Design" screen pops up. My previous home page is in a tab behind that. I select "No" on the help improve Firefox question and close the window. Each time I launch Firefox or open a new window then the Firefox home screen returns. I checked the preferences and my company site is set as the home page. It does not matter if I uninstall Firefox, restart the computer and reinstall Firefox. I even tried installing older versions and the same error keeps happening.
