Deskjet 2540 unable to download driver Mac
I've just bought a deskjet 2540, and run installer.
This message appears:
This HP software is not compatible with your version of Mac OS X. This installer requires Mac OS X version 10.6 or later.
I don't have 10.6 or later. Can I still use this printer or do I need to return it?

You would need to return it. Sorry to say, it will not work with anything lower than 10.6.
The newest HP printers are no longer compatible to work with 10.5 and below. You can find a few still that will, here are a few examples;
HP Deskjet 3050A e-All-in-One Printer - J611a
HP Officejet 8600 Series
HP Photosmart 5510, 6510 and 7510
There are others, I suggest talking to the sales rep and making sure that 10.5 is printed on the box as a compatible OS.

70D software unable to download on Mac with or without CD's even changing OS's
I purchased a 70D bundle including software, I've tried downloading the software on my 6 month old Mac but have failed to do so. I even tried downloading it from Canon, and still does the same thing. I've changed from Mavericks to Mountain Lion as suggested from another blog but without success. I even called Mac support but failed to get it working. I love this camera but I'm getting very frustrated with this issue. Any solution to this problem?
Curioser and curioser. I'm doing okay getting the dmg from that link using an Internet Explorer 6. Yousendit (or a trying a different PC rather than the library one) might well be the best option for you in the short term.

I don't see why not ... after all, it's readily possibly to download the Mac version of the iTunes installer to a PC.
If you've got the time and inclination, it might be worth putting through some feedback to Apple about that. My best guess as to which feedback form to use might be the following one:

Unable to download driver n related software for FSUP
Hi,
I tried to download driver for FSUP from R&S. It required Third-Party Installation. When I click "Go To Download Site", there is weird coding pop-out . Something like this

C4180 Printer unable to download driver
Have C4180 printer and original driver cd, but not compatible with laptop running windows vista. tried to download from website still unsucessful.
Nope, this printer is not wireless capable. But you can purchase a wireless addon/accessory to use it wirelessly. Search for HP Wireless Printing Upgrade Kit in hp.com if you're interested.

Unable to install downloaded driver on my Mac OS X 10.6; therefore printer useless!
I downloaded the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2645 driver from the site:

but, when attempting to install the downloaded driver, I got the message:
HP Deskjet 2640 series cannot be installed on this computer.
Therefore, the newly-bought printer 2645 cannot be used on my Mac. Thank you HP!

I understand you have a Deskjet Ink Advantage 2645 that you're trying to install on a 10.6 Mac without much luck thus far. I'm sorry to hear this, but I will definitely do my best to assist you.
I believe it may have just been an issue with the download. I downloaded the software package on our 10.6 Mac here and I was able to run the installation, so the software itself is working.
I will direct you right to the download page for the Deskjet Ink Advantage 2645, and please try downloading and installing the software once more. If it still doesn't work, could you please take a screen shot of what happens and then post it here for me? Thank you!

I have a Nikon d610 and am using PS CS6. I am unable to download my raw files through Bridge on my mac. I have downloaded the most recent Camera Raw files - 8.7.1 - what should I do next.
The D610 needs ACR 8.3 so you are easily covered there. I am not entirely clear on the process you are using the bring the files onto your hard drive. The safest way is to simply bring all the NEF files into a folder on your hard drive, then find them with bridge and open from there.
If still stuck, open Photoshop, and go Help > About plugins > Camera RAW and check that 8.7 installed OK. -
I am unable to download yosemite on my mac because MacIntosh HD disc is erroneously shown to be used for time machine. Fixes?
Go into your Macintosh HD or whatever you have named your internal hard disk drive. And look for a folder called "Backups.backupdb" . If its there move it to another location or delete it.

Jolly Giant gave good advice re. ITunes and unable to download the latest version on my older Mac Mini. I downloaded ITunes 9.2 as he suggested but came to a standstill at the place where we "agree" with terms. Couldn't open this without Iwork which I don't have. Help! Carolyn
Hello, no way you should need iWork to "Agree"!?
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
And if you're really at 10.4.2, then get this and apply it...

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you would like to learn how to print from your tablet to your Deskjet 2540 printer.
With a tablet you don’t download a print driver like you would with a traditional computer, unless you have a table that is running a full version of Windows. I have included the Printing from an Apple or Android Mobile Device with HP Wireless Direct document. It will walk you through how to print from your tablet.

HELP MY MAC IS BROKE AND WONT START (unable to find driver ACPI)
Someone please help. I was reinstalling a printer driver and my power cut off while it was installing. now the computer wont start and i get this message below... I read to use the install dvd but my CD drive is broke and wont take cds. I did manage to hook it up to my dads computer with target disk mode so i can access files. his computer is a windows though. i do have a copy of the Leopard install cd saved as a DMG on his computer and a 8gb flash to boot it but i cant format the flash drive to be mac extended journaled GUID from his computer.IS there a program to do this???I dont know what needs to be fixed or where i can get this acpi driver? can anyone help because i dont have any money to get this fix and i need my mac for college which im starting soon.

It also says 64bit mode enabled and i thought macs were 32bit.
I also tried resetting the pvram or whatever its called and no luck
Someone please help!!!!I know this isn't what you really want to hear but I'd recommend taking it in to an authorized repair location or your local Apple Store to get the Superdrive repaired or replaced so you can do an install? I don't believe you will be able load from your Dad's Window's machine. However you might be able to from an external DVD drive.
Also I might recommend getting a UPS so if you have similar issues you will have enough power to do a proper shutdown.

I bought a Mac Book Pro retina display, Serial Number C02J*****2, on 8/11/2012. Unfortunately, I am unable to download updates from the App store.Whenever I tried to download updates, it shows me an error message, "we could not complete your request. there is an error in the App Store. Try again later (100). Your Apple ID has been disabled, contact iTune support". However,the problem still persists even after my password has been successfully reset. What is is the error in the app store? I really need help to resolve this issue.
Moreover,I also need help how to update to the mountain lion free of charge as my Mac pro is four(4) days old.

iOS 6 (which runs on the iPhone 5) requires iTunes 10.7, which requires OS X 10.6.8 or higher.

Deskjet 2540 all in one printer - does the scanning work with Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.1 ?
I was trying to scan a document using this new printer and my Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.1 and I cannot even find the page that allows me to scan since now it is all through the computer. Is this printer compatible with this operating system? and if so, what can I do to see the page where the file actually shows up to scan?
