Deskjet 3040 All in One Printer Prints Too Dark

I have a HP Deskjet 3050. I can't find the way to adjust the darkness of the print. That is to say, it's like the printer is set by the manufacturer for a very light original. The printing comes out too "muddy" on the edges and makes nice fine lines on the original look like a Sharpie Pen line rather than a nice thick smooth Ball Point line. This is a bit of an extreme example, but I hope you get the idea. It does a better print job from work on the computer than when using the copier, but you can still see that extra "push" to make something darker than it needs to be. I could not find the "Fix" in the Help/Adjustments windows. I have Windows 7.

Hard Reset – While printer is powered ON, pull
the power cord from the printer then from the
wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to
wall and printer. This will trigger a ‘dirty power
up’ and restore the printer to a known good
condition (if it is possible). No user settings
are lost with a ‘hard reset’.
This ‘Hard Reset’ is one of the most powerful
tools to use when the printer hardware is not
functioning properly!
Then...
On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon ( ), and then click Devices and Printers .
Right-click the printer icon ( ) for your product, and then click Printing Preferences .
Select your desired print settings, click Apply , and then click OK .
Try the print job again.

Deskjet F380 All in One; pdf printing to a fax printer which doesn't exist

For some reason anytime we try to print a pdf (or photo) the pc will not let us select our HP F380 All in One printer, but instead will only let us select a Fax printer. I have no idea where that would have come from as I have never faxed from this computer.
Any ideas? I have no idea if it is a problem with the printer or pc or both. Hope someone has some suggestions.

The F380 has no wireless capabilities - so using the usb cable is mandatory if you want to print from your G72.
If you still want to print wireless
what you could do is to buy a printserver - so you connect your printer to the printserver and this can work wireless towards your G72.

If you want to get wireless is to get a Wireless printer , were this funcionality is build in.
an HP wireless printer would be the F4580.

Deskjet F4500 all in one can't comminicate wirelessly.

I have an HP Deskjet F4500 all in one wireless printer that I have tried to install on my home network. I used the CD that came with it to install and the computer tells me that it has installed properly. However when sending a document to print, although the small window tells me that the document is printing and then that window goes away, a few minutes later another window appears and tells me that the document failed to print. Some times it tells me that the cartridges need alignment so i go through the procedure and nothing happens; at other times it tells me that there is no communication between the computer and the printer, stil some other tomes it tell me that the printer is offline.
I know the printer is on line by using my NirSoft Wireless Network watcher which lists the computer and the printer and the other computers on the network.
I did uninstall printer using Revo Uninstaller rebooted and then installed the printer again. Checked for software updates from HP. Used the HP Installation Failure guide from HP. Checked the IP address of the printer through the Browser on the computer and it opened the connection with the printer and its properties verifiedthe key on the Security (WPA2) on the router which is a Wireless Broadband Router, verified the MAC address in the MAC filter feature. The printer still does not respond to the printing command same messages back. Computer running Win XP Pro SP3 with all its updates. AMD 64 Processor. 2GB RAM. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated to solve this problem.

OK, now insert the printer CD and run the installer, selecting "Network" installation when it asks. Make sure to NOT have the USB cable installed between your printer and PC when you start the installation. It will ask you to temporarily install the USB cable during the installation.

I am using HP Deskjet F370 All-in-One Printer. Recently I am facing a critcal problem.
I am unable to print anything in red or brown colour.
The cartridges are in good condition with more than 80% ink level in color cartridge and 65% above in black cartridge.
I have done alignment of printer cartridges and also reset the printer.
However after that, I have taken a test print which works fine. I can print in black or any other colour expect red and brown.
Whenever I am trying to print anything in brown it is coming out in green colour.
I don't know what to do....Please help.

Printing problem with HP deskjet 3050 all in one J610 series

I have a HP deskjet 3050 all in one J610 series which I am using with Windows Vista Version 6.0 (Build 6006: Service pack 2). Connecting is by USB port. I have not used the printer for some time, but have done all the maintence checks & it is good to go. When I want to print a letter the only thing that gets printed is the email address which is coloured blue. I think the problem is in the settings of the printer features. I can print the letter in gray scale but this is not easy to read and not suitable for business dealings.
I would appreciate help with this problem. A definition of the terms used in the printer features might help me resolve it by my self.

If after the troubleshooting has been done and you are still seeing the issue leave me with the following information:
1. What is your current Operating system, Windows or Mac and which version?
2. How is the printer connected, USB or Wireless?
3. If you print a test page from the front panel do you see the same issue?

Is it possible to connect HP DESKJET 1510 All-in-One series Wireless printer without USB cable?

my mom recently bought me the HP DESKJET 1510 All-in-One series so i have an at home printer for school work. but when we bought it we did not know there was a certain USB that had to connect to the printer. so we bought the wrong one. now i have a project due and i cannot print. we have a small USB that fits it but its hard to connect it to the computer and printer because its so small. so if we can have it sent to the printer without the USB that would be perfect!

HP Deskjet F2120 all in one printer driver not installing after upgrading to Windows 7

I have a HP Deskjet F2120 all in one printer. I was working fine in Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit.
Once I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit the driver is failing to install.
I have tried all the solutions provided on the HP website but none of them worked.
I also wrote a mail to HP support but they replied that its out of warranty hence they will not be able to help.
If some genius can help me I will pray for him/her that all his/her wishes come true.

I just got my HP Deskjet F2120 working in Windows 7. Here's how:
Insert the setup disk in your CD/DVD drive. Choose to view the files in Explorer. Scroll down to the file "Setup," which is identified as an application.
Right-click the file and select "Properties." Click the "Compatibility" tab at the top of the resulting window.
Check off "Run this program in compatability mode for:" and choose "Windows Vista" from the pop-up menu.
ALSO check "Run this program as administrator" at the bottom of the window.
Press "Apply," then "OK."
Now you can double-click the "Setup" file and run the software installer.
It will 100% work inshallah...

The HP Deskjet 3050A All-In-One J611 series printer I just bought is not compatible with my Mac Book Pro. What do I need to do?

I recently purchased an HP Deskjet 3050A All-In-One J611 series printer and it is not compatible with the version of the operating system on my mac book pro. I am currently running on OS X 10.4.11 and the printer is compatible with v10.5 or higher. What can I do to update the operating system on my Mac Book Pro?

10.5 will be harder to find & more expensive, I think I'd go for 10.6
Leopard requirements/10.5.x...

    * 512MB of memory (I say 1.5GB for PPC at least, 2-3GB minimum for IntelMacs)

Deskjet 2540 all in one printer - does the scanning work with Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.1 ?

I was trying to scan a document using this new printer and my Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.1 and I cannot even find the page that allows me to scan since now it is all through the computer. Is this printer compatible with this operating system? and if so, what can I do to see the page where the file actually shows up to scan?

I recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks, but now my HP Deskjet F4580 All in one printer will not scan any documents either as PDF or as JPG, how can we fix this?

I have simialr problems, after i scanned the ducuments or pictures, i can save it for only once, but the file is just black pictures with many lines through them. When i try to save it again, then it says ''An error has occurred saving the file because it could not be written to. Check the properties for the file to make sure it is not read-only.', which then doesn't allow me to do anything of saving the file or even just to print it out.

I have a HP Deskjet 3040A All-in-one printer J611, I have had this printer for about 2years and everything worked perfect then I bought an Apple still all was alright but when I updated my software I got Mavericks and ever since then everything went wrong....I have updated my computer and have AirPrint now and also HP ePrint(currently). How ever the printer was not working or connecting.
Problem 1:
When I tried to fix the problem I uninstalled all HP drivers to reinstall - found that you have to install the apple app Done!(Airprint)
The printer was picked up by the computer and I can scan but I can not print, I'm using the USB cable, and when I print the computer shows it is printing and the printers lights come on but nothing happens(no messages display on the printer) then the computer shows the print is done - but the printer didn't print. Scan is working fine.
Problem 2:
Because of constant problems with the wireless connection I wanted to reconnect it to the router - Restore default.
But now because I don't have the HP drivers, I have no idea how to connect it and I tried both connection ways WPS is not working when I press it on the route...nothing happens and the PIN, where are you suppose to enter the pin, nothing comes up on my computer (USB connected)
I have read the installation pages over and over but can't figure out what is wrong, any advice would be appreciated.

I can certainly help you get the printer on the network and working again.
Follow the steps in this thread to put the printer on the network without using the software or the WPS button. I believe we have success doing it this way.

HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer series - J6? what a load 0f rubbish,only one place for this the bin!
Purchased less than a year ago countless problems with wireless reinstaled more times than I can think and now paper jams so off to the bin, never to buy HP products again, being disabled is hard enough but having to going shopping for a new printer this I could do without. thank you HP.

I am sorry to hear that you are having that issue with the printer. If the printer is under a year old from the date of purchase, please call into HP Total care. The printer comes with a factory warranty that gives the owner free tech support on the product. Paper jams are a hardware issue. If all troubleshooting steps are done on the phone with the agent and the product is still not working. That agent who is assisting you will be able to give further options on what can be done. The number for US and Canada customers is 800-474-6836. Customers in other countries can find contact information here. I hope that this helps.
