Deskjet 3050 no longer printing wireless or wired

I have an HP Envy widows 8. and deskjet 3050 J610a and it no longer prints.  I keep getting an error message :"Unable to Communicate with Printer".  it worked just great a couple days ago and nothing has changed since then other than it stopped printing.  Can i talk with an HP  customer support person somehow?

Hi nikki879,
Here is a way you can connect the printer to your router:
-Restore network defaults inside the wireless menu on the printer front panel.
-From your computer, connect wireless to the printer's network (it should be a name similar to HP-Setup-xx-Deskjet 3050A J611).
-After successfully connecting to the printer, open your web browser and type in 192.168.223.1 in the addressbar and press enter.
-Click on Wireless Setup Wizard
-Select your router and enter the password to connect the printer to the router.
Rerun the printer software from your computer to rediscover the printer over the network.

  • Deskjet 3050 Won't Print Wirelessly

    Hi there,
My new all in one 3050 won't print for me. It is "Offline" in the network page. I feel I have explored every avenue and it will still not print. The wireless network configuration page I printed says everything passed. The home network disagnostic tool says "software missing" after i click test connection. The print diagnostic tool fails on connectivity everytime. I can connect to the printer ip 192.168.1.3 in the browser 95% of the time but not always. My router is a Zyxel P-660HW-T1 v3. I'm really close to tears with frustration, I'm quite computer and networking savvy but I cannot fix this. please help, I'd be eternally grateful.
    Kind Regards,
    Larry.

  • I can no longer print wirelessly

My wireless network was recently changed and I can no longer print wirelessly from any of my devices. I have tried to change the info by connecting the printer to my MacBook Pro but I am stuck. Pleas help a confused housewife!

    Hi,
If your wireless network was changed, you'll need to make sure that the printer and all your devices are still connected to the network. On your devices, you'll need to go to the wireless network icons and re-enter your password - the same for the printer.
For wireless printing to be enabled, both the printer and devices need to be connected to the same wireless network.

  • HP Photosmart 5520 printer no longer prints wireless

    Hello.
I recently got an xfinity cable modem with wireless.  (Xfinity/comcast promoted it should be faster...I am seriously doubthing that!)
Before this cable modem, I was printing okay with a Netgear router.  Never an issue with it.  Now with the comcast modem with the Netgear router, I can no longer print wirelessly from my computer or anywhere remotely (ipad, laptop, etc).
I do suspect something with the comcast modem but comcast claims it is NOT them (Yeah, right...works okay flawlessly before and now nothing).   Thus if someone can help me pinpoint where the problem lies, I would be greatly appreciated.   And of course, one cannot turn off the wireless network in the xfinity modem either!!
Have tried the HP diagnosics but says it cannot establish a 2 way communication.  Everything on the printer display looks correct from a wireless standpoint (i.e. sees the router name, etc).
    I am using Windows Vista
    Thanks!
    Thomas

What Comcast forced on you is a Gateway device, modem+router.  Call comcast and have them put that Gateway in Full Bridge mode and now connect your router back up and use that.   What is the exact Comcast model number they gave you?

  • My Canon MX922 will not print wireless or wired.

My CANON MX922 printer will not print wireless or wired. I used suggestions in Community such as "MX922 not connecting wirelessly, 7-6-15, post 1362, 10-17-15". (No solution). I worked with a great rep., by phone, for one hour. (No solution). My MG6220 has worked wirelessly, for two years, on the same Lenovo computer with Windows 7. THANKING YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO HELP ME.

I tried that and the computer still can not recognize the printer.  I used the CD that came with it to reinstall it and all goes well until the very end when the last window pops up and says it can not find the printer.I went and bought a new printer last night Canon MG5622 since it uses the same ink cartridges and I have a lot of of inkI didn't want to waste.  This printer installed easily and works great. Not sure what happened with the other one but perhaps I'll pass it to my sister with the CD and see if it will install onher computer.thank you for your help, you're awesome for trying!Diane

  • C5280 no longer prints wirelessly from Vista laptop after purchase of new Win7 PC wired to C5280

My Windows XP desktop was wired directly to the C5280 and I was able to print through my home network from the Win Vista laptop downstairs. Since I purchased a Win7 PC and replaced the Win XP one, the laptop cannot print wirelessly through the home network. What can I do to regain that functionality? Thanks.

OK, first wireless Gateway (modem/router combo) units are terrible for wireless connection. It is always, always best to use a separate modem and router in your network that YOU have control over instead of Comcast. If you have your old router it would be best to call Comcast and have that Gateway put in Bridge mode (disables the router section) and connect your own high quality router. With that said, let's try this. Set the router to a fixed wireless channel like 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto'. If you still can't connect, remove all security off the routers SSID. Now try to connect to your SSID with no security. Are you successful?

  • I can no longer print wirelessly without switching on Wireless setting on printer

My network is a Mac running OSX 10.5, HP Deskjet 3050 connected by USB to the Mac and a Dell laptop running Windows Vista. Previously the PC printed wirelessly but that stopped suddenly. I uninstalled the HP drivers on both computers, downloaded and installed the newest versions for both then ran the HP printer wizard.
Yes, I can print from both computers but I'd like to get it back the way it was without one more device in my house generating or demanding microwaves.

So you want to go from a wirelessly networked printer to a print sharing across different operating systems?  Why?  It will just stop working again.  It is a very unreliable way to print.
There are not significantly more or fewer microwaves in your system with the printer connected wirelessly.  If you are really worried about that you should shut down your wireless router, which is the source of the transmissions, and buy a wired router and string Ethernet cables throughout your home.

  • Deskjet 3050 won't recognize wireless network anymore.

    Product:  HP Deskjet 3050
    Operating system:  Windows 7-64 bit
Printer quit printing wirelessly.  Using the control panel on the printer, I restored defaults.  Now it won't recognize any wireless networks.  I have unplugged computer, but that didn't help.  I don't want to unplug my router, because I will lost all my DVR items (we are on AT&T uverse).  Any tips?

Run a Wireless Network Test from the Network menu of the front panel.  What does it say?
If everything is OK (which I suspect), re-install the printer with the temporary use of a USB cable just as you did originally when you installed it.

  • Deskjet 3050 J610 Wifi Printing on Windows 8.1

So I've successfully Connected my printer wirelessly to my router. Its an HP Desjet 3050 J610 Series.
    Steps reproduced.
    - Installed Drivers (Run as admin)
    - Setup Printer over Wifi via HP setup. Success. I'm even able to ping my printer!
    - Print a test page Over wifi...Error!
    - Used WPS Sync Button on both Printer and Wifi Router..Failed
    - Reset PC.
    - Uninstall/Re-Install Drivers. Still Failing.
    End
Priting works fine Via USB but not over wifi. I have a Linsys E1200 Router. I've also checked Printer/File sharing is enabled, & ran the Windows Auto Troubleshooter. But no dice, status displays "Error" on Device and Printer Settings.

    Hello LL_01,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see you have been trying to setup the Deskjet 3050 on Windows 8.1 over WiFi, it will allow you to ping the printer but not print.
See if the Print and Scan Dr is able to locate the printer over the network and print with it.
If unable, try reconfiguring the printer via USB, these steps removed from this guide: Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection.
Optional : If you previously installed the software for a USB connection and now want to change to a wireless network connection, follow these instructions to remove the USB installation before you continue.
Right-click the Start button ( ) or the lower left corner of the screen, and then clickSearch .
In the Search box, type HP , and then click the icon for your printer. The printer software opens.
Click Utilities , and then click Printer Setup & Software Selection .
Click Convert a USB connected printer to wireless or Connect a new printer (the phrase differs depending on the version of software your computer is running).
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish installing the software. Once the printer has been set up on the wireless network, there is no need to continue with the steps in this document.

  • HPc410a printer will no longer print wirelessly

running windows 7, works to print by eprint but no longer will print wirelessly. I hsve tried unplugging, tried deleting the printer from comp and reinstalling.  the tests show that the wireless connection is good. Not getting any error reports when trying to print it just never comes thru the printer. Desktop, ipad, laptop and Iphone all quit printing.

Let's set a static IP address for the printer:
    - Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
    - Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
    - Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
    - On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
    - Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
    - Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
    - Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS. This is Google DNS. You can choose another external DNS if you wish.
    - Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

  • Can no longer print wirelessly after SL install

I cannot wirelessly print to my Xerox Phaser 6130N following installation of Snow Leopard. I downloaded the 2.0 version of the driver from the Apple site, which enabled my MacBook to recongize the printer (finally!) when I hooked it up via USB. But printing wirelessly is no longer possible. Anyone have any suggestions?

Just to be clear here, there are several cases we are talking about
    1) A USB printer hooked up to an Airport base station (or other network device that provides a USB print spooler).
    2) A printer with build in Ethernet connected to your network.
    3) A printer with built in Wireless connected to your wireless network.
Option 2 or 3 should work for any functioning print driver as long as that print driver is configured for a network interface. In the case of the HP printers, any printer that has build in networking the drivers are automatically configured this way.
Option 1 is a bit more confusing. As pointed out first, your printer driver must be enabled for networking, even if your printer doesn't have a network interface on it. We have in the past had drivers go out without this flag checked. There are no Snow Leopard drivers in this category (that I am aware of). The other problem that lots of people seem to be running into is that printing to a USB printer attached to an Airport seems not to be working for people who do not have actual Snow Leopard drivers. Unfortunately there are some HP printers that fall into this category.
That being said, InsaneMisha, your Officejet 6500 does have Snow Leopard compatible drivers, and since it is a network device, we can't turn off the network interface. So, if you can provide more details of what your problem is I may be able to help. And note to solve the problem may require re-installing the drivers.
    Just trying to help.

  • I have a macbook pro and aphotosmartD110 wireless printer.  I was told that if I install the printer software on my computer, it will no longer print wirelessly.  Is that true and how do I scan wirelessly without loading in the software?

I have a macbook pro and a photosmart D110 printer.  I was told that if I load the software for the printer onto my mac that it will no longer print wierlessly.  Is that true and how can I scan wirelessly without loading the software? Also, can I just connect my mac to the printer with a cable and scan or do I need that software loaded onto the mac?  Thanks for all help!

If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.
This HP document may help explain how driver software is distributed now:

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus no longer printing wirelessly

My HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus has printed wireless for both my MacBook Pro and iPad for over a year.  As of this morning, it no longer will.  The Wireless Network Test Results notice says "your hp printer is unable to connect to your wireless router.  MAC address filtering may be enabled on your wireless router which can prevent your HP printer from connecting to your wireless network during setup.  Solution:  if MAC address filtering is enabled and you would like to keep it enabled, you must add the MAC address of your printer (available in this Test Report) to the list of permitted devices for your wireless router before continuing"
My "router" is an Apple Time Capsule.   All this is "greek" to me.  I have been trying to resolve this for 5 hours now and have made no headway as I really do not know what I'm doing.  Do you have any tips (step by step) as to how to get this working again?
    Thanks so much!
