Deskjet 3050A printer--paper won't feed into printer

I have checked for jammed paper and taken the printer apart as far as I can, but after five hours of trying to see why paper won't feed into the printer, I give up. Any ideas?

Step three "Clean the Pick Rollers" might help.
Try all the steps in order.

Printer turns on, paper won't feed through, screen comes up you need to load paper and there is paper. Already opened the back of printer and cleaned the rollers? Can i get in through the front of the printer????

    Hello @WSimsIV,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are running into some print quality issues on your HP Photosmart 6510, you are unable to print in black ink.
I would like you to continue here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, I understand you may have done some of these steps already but I need you to complete all steps in order to resolve the missing black issue you are experiencing.
Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. Please let me know which Country/Region you are in as well as the product Warranty status: HP Warranty Checker
I hope to hear from you soon.

  • Photosmart C5180- paper won't feed correctly

    Hi,
We had a paper jam and after I cleared it, the paper won't feed correctly.
If I feed one piece at a time, it will do it.  Otherwise, it pulls the top paper
from only the right side (as you are looking in) and causes another jam.
If anyone has any suggestions, or can tell me where to have this fixed,
    I would be greatly appreciative.

Hi , I can help you with your reset request. I moved your post from its original location, but can see you tried everything suggested by DocCottle here: Photosmart C310 paper won't feed. I will send you a PM (Private Message), but before I do, feel free to review the HP Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement informs you of our privacy practices and of the choices you can make about the way information about you and your online activity is collected and how that information is used. This statement is readily available on our HP.com home page and at the bottom of every HP web page. There are an increasing number of posts in this forum and elsewhere in the internet with the steps to do a resets on different printers.  The reset itself will sometimes fix problems, so the reset is not the issue.  Some resets require you to enter button combinations to open special menus on your printer that you were never meant to access.  These special menus are used by the developers and support personnel for debugging issues, but they are not meant for untrained users and can have unintended results.  One wrong button push and you no could no longer have a printer, but instead a pricey paper weight.  To top it off, if you do happen to "brick" the printer this way, it is considered customer induced damage, and voids the warranty automatically. These resets are only meant to be given out and used as a last resort, and under direct instruction of a HP tech support representative. They should not be done lightly! Printer Resets: What You Should Know Please check the little envelope on the top right hand corner of the forums page to check your Forums inbox.

  • Replacement Power Cables for Deskjet 3050A Printer

I have recently dug up my old printer, a HP Deskjet 3050A. However, I could not find any of the cables required to use it.
I am looking to get a set of replacement cables, however I haven't been able to use the HP website as I couldn't find my item serial number. I have been unable to get in touch with HP because of this.
Any advice on where to go/who to contact would be much appreciated.

HP does not list the power adapter (or any other parts for the Deskjet 3050a) on their Partsurfer Site, but I have had good results in the past buying printer power adapters from eBay.  The results here may help.

  • OfficeJet J3680 Paper won't feed

HI, I just installed my Office Jet 3680 on Windows Vista.
When I go to print the printer makes noise as if it's trying to catch the paper, but it cannot. An error message appears saying "out of paper" when there is plenty of paper in the feed tray. I have tried more/less paper, thicker paper, cleaning the roller.... Sometimes a message appears saying "the feature you are trying to use is on a disk not available. Insert the solution center disk and click ok." [I do not have this disk and do not know where to get it.]
    Help!
    Thanks.

  • Paper won't feed in C4780

I have a C4780 that is about a month over a year old now. I've loaded a few sheets into the tray and attempt to print a document. The printer receives the document and begins the initial process of moving gears around. All of a sudden it makes two very short loud noises and then the screen on the printer displays a message saying something to the effect of "No paper loaded." I've read through the support documents that run you through cleaning the feed wheels. Didn't work. Any other ideas?

Make sure you are using regular paper. Try stacking about 90 sheets in the tray and see if that helps. If not try about 5 sheets of a rougher heavy paper (sometimes dust builds up on the pick roller and running some rough sheets through it will clean the pick roller).

  • HP deskjet 3050A scan utility won't open with Mac OS 10.8.2

I downloaded the new software for the HP deskjet printer. Set it up to print wirelessly, which works fine. But the HPScan utility (I seem to have one that says HP Scan and one that says HPScan 3) neither utility can be opened. Message says "check with the developer."

    Hi,
As you have both the HP Scan and HP Scan 3 icons, it seems that something went wrong with the software upgrade - the HP Scan icon should replace the existing one as an upgrade..
Uninstall the printer software ocmpletely by following the HP Uninstaller.
Repeat following the HP Uninstaller till the Hewlett-Packard no longer exists.
Repair the disk permissions to avoid any possible issue:
    1. Open the the Applications folder.
    2. Go to the Utilities folder.
    3. Double-click on Disk Utility.
    4. Select the hard drive containing the boot volume.
    5. Go to the First Aid tab and select Repair Disk Permissions.
Note: This process may take several minutes depending on the Mac and amount of permissions that need to be repaired. The Progress Log will indicate when the proccess has been completed.
Next install the latest software below:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=al-107372-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
Finally, update the latest drivers by clicking the Apple icon and then Software Update.

  • I have Deskjet 3050A printer.

When I retrieve a document for printing or save a document and them wish to print it later....all are printed in computer language, i.e., 1's, 0's and other computer gibberish.  How can I change this?
    E-mail   [Personal Information Removed]        Urgent.

Hi - It's probably one of two things causing the problem:
    - Communication problem - This could be a bad connection with the cable to either the printer or the computer.  You might try disconnecting and reconnecting and make sure the printer is plugged in directly and not through a USB hub or something.  (Assuming you aren't connected wirelessly).
    - Incorrect printer driver or a problem with the printer driver.  In whatever app you're trying to print from, make sure that when you select File, Print, that the DJ3050A is selected.  If it isn't, you'll likely get the garbage characters printed out.
    Hope that helps.

  • HP Deskjet 3050A wireless printing problem with Macbook Air

Hello, I have a HP Deskjet 3050A printer that I have been using with my MacBook Air (2012 OS X 10.8.3) until a few weeks ago when it seemed to hang when trying to print and then say no printer found (even though it showed and was selected in the Printer options). So after a few weeks of this I decided to to remedy this issue once and for all by deleting the printer and 'refinding' it.
However, upon 'refinding' printer by adding it through System Preferences no printer is found - I have updated all Macbook air software.
All this time I have been able to continue printing wirelessly using my iPhone 4S and have changed no settings to the iPhone or 3050A which leads me to believe the proble the problem may lie with the Macbook Air?
Can you help resolving this please? Thanks

What router are you using?  Have you restarted it by pulling its power plug momentarily?
If that does not work, download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
    Restart your Mac.
    Finally, reset the printing system:
    - Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
    - Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
    - Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

  • Unable to Set-Up ePrint for Deskjet 3050A

    Hi,
I'ved my HP Deskjet 3050A for some time, however I've recently set it up using Wi-Fi, which I find amazing! Furthermore, I wanted to set up the ePrint service, so that I'm able to print remotely from other devices I use. I followed the instructions through the HP website and couldn't seem to get past Step 1.
Step one asks me to asks me to register an account with ePrint, which I have done. However, it then asks me for a 'Printer Claim Code'. This is where I seem to hit brick wall. It asks me to print a 'Web services information sheet'. To do this I must click the ePrint button on my printer and select 'Print Info Page'. However, when I do this I'm shown an error which reads...
"The printer could not connect to the Internet. Check Internet connection."
I then tried various other ways by looking through this forum, however they all seems to lead to the same problem. I can print fine through my computer using Wi-Fi.
Can anyone offer any support on this?
    Printer: HP Deskjet 3050A
    OS: Windows 8.1
    Thanks,
    Chris.

    Hi Chris,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I understand that when you are trying to enable the web services on your Deskjet 3050A printer that you are getting a connection error message.
Please start by setting a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer.  I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screen shots, on how to do this.  Don’t stress that the screen shots are for a Photosmart 7510 printer, the steps are the same.
Please let me know how it goes.

  • Can not access HTTPS parts of website Deskjet 3050A

    Hi all,
    Short question for you all:
I not any way I am able to access HTTPS parts of my Deskjet 3050A printer. Among others, I can not use the Webservices and Security functions of my printer. Which is very poor of course...
I have read more posts on this forum related to this topic. But none of them really gets a good answer. Seems to me that HP can easily solve this issue by publishing a software update.
    Allready tried:
    All browser
    Accept certificates
    Add websites to Trusted Sites
Update the printer software, none found...
    My printer and software:
    HP Deskjet 3050A All-in-One Printer - J611n
    Firmware version: SMP1FN1215BR
It would be great if anyone found a solution for this problem yet. Of if a HP support engineer can reply. Thanks a lot!

    Erwin1987,
I am sorry you are having an issue with your web services.
1.) Are you connected Wireless or Ethernet?
2.) Was the software installed from the disk or from the HP website?

  • My HP Deskjet 3050A won't let me print via my laptop!

I've had my printer quite a while now (about 3 years) it is a hp deskjet 3050A and has been set up with wireless. It prints off fine when I send something via Iphone, Ipod or Ipad over wifi, but when I try to send something via my laptop over the wifi (new toshiba with windows 8), it wont let me. How do I sort this problem out as I do not want to get a new printer. Why won't it let me print from my laptop?

OK so you have a new computer with Windows 8.  You did install the new software and drivers for Windows 8 right?  This always has to be done.
Download and install the full featured software and drivers from here.
