Deskjet 3051A

Hello,
I just got a new HP printer and am having some problems. When I try and set up the printer I am able to print out the alignment page but then when I try to scan it to complete the process it says it failed to align and just goes with the standard alignment. I would not think this to be a problem but then when I try to print other documents some things mess up. When printing a Word Doc, nothing happens, it just skips over the text. I am able to print a successful printerhead test page with colored boxes at the top. The ink levels are to the max for each but the black ink just seems to not be working. Any clue as to what is going on? I am very lost.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you had an alignment failed message on your Deskjet 3051A printer which hasn’t prevented you from printing.
I have included the 'Alignment Failed' Error Message Displays on the All-in-One trouble shooting document. It will walk you through several steps to correct the alignment issue. I’ve also included the Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues document. I would recommend following the steps in that document if after you successfully align the printer you still are experiencing the print quality issues you mentioned.

Deskjet 3051A- having trouble connecting to Verizon MiFi network

I have a Deskjet 3051A wireless printer at home. I am using it with a Macbook Air. Our wireless network has changed, and I need to connect the printer to the new network, which is a Verizon MiFi network. Is there a way to do this? I have tried restarting the printer, to no avail. When I try to install the software from the installation CD that came with the printer, it says that the OS I'm using is not supported by the software. Help, me please!!

Hi,
If you already installed teh Full Feature HP Software temporary connect the printer using USB, go to Applications > Hewlett-Packard > Device Utilities and follow the HP Setup Assistant, you will be provided with an option to connect the printer to your network.
If there is no Hewlett-Packard folder under applications connect the printer using USB, download and install the software below. be sure to select HP REcommended Software and you will be provided with the option to configure the wireless connection during the installation:

How do i find the email address for my HP Deskjet 3051A

I need to find the email address for my printer to finish up my eprint capabilties for my IPad Air.
I have a HP Desktop 3051A wireless printer.

HP Deskjet 3051A won't scan to my computer

Hello, my mom gave me this printer, it was previously hooked up to her computer, and when I try to scan on my computer it says "Computer not found. Ensure HP software has been installed on the computer." How do I install the HP software? It prints fine just won't scan.

Have you installed software and drivers on your computer yet ? Please use the CD which came with the printer or download from the following link:

(Note: you need to select the right Operating system for your computer before download).

Error message code on my HP Deskjet 3051A

This document should be able to help: Error Message Displays on the Printer Control Panel. It describes the general issue as: While trying to print, the printer displays aan error message with numbers and letters (an alphanumeric code). For example, 'Error 0xc18a0001' or 'B8000094' might display on the printer control panel. The numbers and letters vary. Some begin with ‘0x…’ while others begin with a ‘B’ or ‘C,’ but they are usually preceded by the word ‘Error.’

3051A wont print from internet

Hi,My HP 3051A recently stopped being able to print from the internet. It is able to print items from the PC ok. I have run the HP Scan and Print check and all ok. Printer has IP address ok. This occurs with both Chrome and IE so I am guessing that the problem lies with Windows or maybe Anti Virus maybe? I have Avast installed and in use? Any ideas please? Thanks

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that you cannot print from the internet with your HP Deskjet 3051A on Windows 7. I am happy to help! If you are able to print other items, other than IE and Chrome, then the issue could be a driver conflict, or an issue with those particular programs. I would recommend the following steps: Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.Clean boot the computer. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.Disable any Antivirus programs. Disable Antivirus software.Disable any firewall programs. Turn Windows Firewall on or off.Create a new user account. Managing User Accounts and Logins (Windows 7).Reinstall using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows. Afterwards, run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, to verify that everything is working properly. Is the HP 3051A wireless desktop all-in-one compatable with an android tablet?

The Deskjet 3051A does support Android directly through the use of the HP ePrint Home and Biz app in the Play Store (formerly Android Market).
However, Android is a customizable operating system and many manufacturers modify the operating system to the extent that some do not have the Play Store.
If you have the Play Store, you can install the HP ePrint Home and Biz app and print over your wireless network. The app only supports printing documents and photos from the device.
With or without the app, ePrint is always an option with the Deskjet 3051A. ePrint works by sending an email to the printer's @hpeprint.com address. The address is selected during the setup of ePrint.

IP Address

When I open Safari, the IP address for my WIFI is incorrect. Network Diagnostics say the connection is fine but Safari says no internet connection. I have to turn the WIFI connection off then back on to get the correct IP address. Why doesn't the MacBook Pro find the correct IP address?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I see you are not able to print to your HP Deskjet 3051a using an iphone 4s, 5s or Galaxy5 we get "No airprinter device found", but you can print wirelessly.
I would like you to start troubleshooting here: Printing Over a Wireless Network with Apple's AirPrint FAQs
Once on the page, select the 'No Air printers Found' section and complete the steps listed.

I'm trying to log into eprintcenter.com, but it does not recognize my email address and/or password.

Printing from iPad OS 5.0.1

We purchased this printer because we were told that id would work from an iPad. I setup the ePrint account with HP and was abbl to print via the email address for the account however, you get this printed message at the bottom of the page stating "Sent from my iPad". We were hoping this would print derectly from the applications as she will be printing her homework for school. From the iPad, you getan option to email or print the document you are working from and when you select print, it does some scanning, seems to lock in on the respective HP printer, but after selecting print, nothing happens. What am i doing wrong? Help will be appreciated! Thanks.

If No, probably you have to print indirect way.

Does the ePrint job gets rejected if you use Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail email ID's? Have you tried with the Black Berry email ID provided by your carrier?
For AT&T I believe it will be [email protected]
Try sending emails with this ID and check if it works or not.

Lost printer connection when upgraded Finality connection

Upgraded Xfinity Internet connection. I have wireless printer (HP deskjet 3051A) and lap top Toshiba - and use windows 7. With the upgrad I received a new netwrok name and password for my wireless connection. There is no isses accessing the internet etc, but when I upgraded I lost the printer connection on my lap top. Xfinity said they couldn't help. It appears like something needs to be reconfigured but I have not been able to do that. Any easy solution to fix this problem?

From the cotrol panel select Devices and Printers, right click and remove any listed HP Deskjet 3050 printer by selecting Remove Device.
From the Start menu go to Programs > HP > HP Deskjet 3050 and click the printer icon to launch its software.
Select Conenct a new printer by selecting wireless connection, follow the steps on screen to configure the printer for your new router.
Note: the installation might require a temporary USB connection in order to configure the printer for your new network.

Printing from my gmail acct. hp deskjet 3051 a

When i goto my gmail and then goto, labels, then to receipts and try to print out a shipping label or any other page from there, it says "file is empty or cannot be read". And this is after i press "share" like I'm suppose to, This is all from my galaxy s2. i know I'm hooked up right because I've printed an attachment, a picture, and a document from my phone, with no problems. What do i do?? one more thing.... on the phone and my PC hp deskjet 3050A J6 series when I have a 3051a. Does that have anything to do with it?

No. What is displaying is the series of the printer, not the actual model, which is what is suposed to display.

What format are the lables saved in, and where is the error message being displayed?
