Desktop Agent "like" GUI for general subscribers?

Anybody out there know if there are any 3rd party browser based plugins available for the everyday user? Many of the users here have headsets and would rather click buttons on the screen to answer and hangup and so forth. Rather than have to operate the physical phone.

Hi,
Have you associated the attendant console user to the phone?
Have you seen this yet?

  • IPhone like GUI for the 755p - Touch Launcher

    Bought an app yesterday for my 755p.  It is called Touch Launcher and it provides an iPhone like GUI to the phone.  I think it is pretty cool.
    In the TouchLauncher Options menu, i'm able to scroll what i'm presuming all of the apps installed on my phone.  I simply assigned camera to the camera icon, clock to the clock icon....
    But, I'm stumped when it comes to assigning an app to the SMS icon.  I just don't see any name in the scroll down menu that resembles SMS.  Does anyone on this forum know the name of the file or app that i should select for SMS in my 755 running palm os?
    TIA
    Post relates to: Treo 755p (Verizon)

    Thanks.
    googling like crazy have learned that Touch Launcher is V2 of this app.  iPhoneImpersonator was V1.  Thats the one i have.  V1 is more to my liking.  Anyways, the SMS app is identified as Nexter.  That's not quite so intuitive as camera...
    Thanks for the help.
    Oh, if anyone knows how to turn off the 755 keyguard so the iPhoneImpersonator 'touch and slide to unlock' (like the iPhone) is the default, I'm curious.  I've emailed the author but haven't heard back.  I will close this thread when he does.
    Thanks.

  • Help a bonehead - ZfD server modules for desktop agents?

    Ok guys, I have to be honest I was really versed on ZfD but it has been a good number of years since I've really touched it. Here is what is going on, we are migrating fully to OES2 SLES10/OES11 and removing all our Netware servers over time. We are at a point where we can retire 2 of our 3 remaining Netware servers if ZfD doesn't require them. We are in the process of also going to Windows 7 on all workstations, we'll use ZCM 11 for them. Here is my question....
    What does the Windows Desktop Agents rely on for user related policies? Does it connect to eDirectory directly and read the policies? In other words we have Windows XP Pro workstations running the ZFD Agents. We are only are using the user associated policies for DLU(mandatory remaining profiles) and user associated group policies. We'd like to keep these running and if memory serves they don't call any specific NLMs on the Netware servers, they just read eDirectory for their information.
    Is this correct? Please be kind, my ZfD 7 knowledge is simply fading away. Thanks.

    Thanks Craig,
    I really appreciate the confirmation. That is what I had thought but you know what assuming does. We aren't using any software bundles or Workstation assigned policies only user policies so it sounds like we should be good to go.
    Only one more Netware 6.5sp8 server to go, I'm kind of sad to see the end of such a reliable legacy. I hope that Novell can infect the Linux side of the house with the idea that with power, management complexity doesn't have to be the norm. 8^D

    If you are not worried about Inventory, then the Inventory Server does
    not matter.
    Workstation Import Service is not required, though not having it is a
    slightly larger issue. There are two main things you lose if the WS is
    not imported.
    #1 - You cannot assign Bundles/Policies directly to Devices, only uses.
    Duh :>
    #2 - The System Account will not have any File Rights for running User
    Associated Bundles set to run as System Directly from a Network share.
    However, you could run the bundle as Logged on User or 1st copy the
    files local and then run an install as System.

    Hi Vinay,
    you know you're posting in a LabVIEW forum?
    When you have questions on Comedi you should post in a Comedi-related forum!
    Or read some papers/manuals like this, easily found by Google...

    Have just installed Mavericks and restarted the MacBook Pro. That was 3 hours ago and after logging in, I got my wallpaper and dock, but none of my desktop icons, just the spinning coloured wheel. It's been like that for 2 hours. Is this normal? What should I do, please?
    I tried holding the on/off switch down to make it shut down, but when I turned it back on again, the same thing happened and none of the keys etc makes any difference.
    HELP!!!! Please.

    No, what you're experiencing is not normal.
    Try booting whilst holding down the Shift key - this will allow you to boot into Safe Mode, disabling third-party kernel extensions, etc. Your Mac will be slow to boot and will operate sluggishly. That's normal. If you can get in using Safe Mode then you have some start-up item that doesn't play well with Mavericks.

    I have a iMac desktop and a macbook pro laptop I work mainly on the desktop but when i go away for work I take my laptop. Is there any way to make it automatically back up to mirror my desktop? Like when I update a file it updates on there too, if I install software it installs on there too etc?
    When I first got the laptop I syned it to load with all the same software etc but it hasn't continued to sync
    Thanks

    I use
    Chronosync (http://www.econtechnologies.com/pages/cs/chrono_overview.html)
    and
    Dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/)
    Both work very well. The former I use for manual, one-way synchroniziation of (nearly) entire systems. The latter for automatic syncing of very active directories through local and shared online storage.

  • Can we implement site catalyst for Remote desktop app like MS dynamics NAV?

    Can we implement site catalyst for Remote desktop app like MS dynamics NAV?
    please throw some insight

    Hi,
    Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
    Does this happens for this particular application?
    For a test you can publish Notepad\WordPad as RemoteApp and check whether facing same issue. Please check the result and let us know. If it’s working normally then might seems there is some configuration issue with MS Dynamics App.
    Does this happens for all user or specific users?
    Which version of RDP Client you are using for client system?
    Try to install RDP 8.1 for better feature.
    Update for RemoteApp and Desktop Connections feature is available for Windows

  • NWBC Desktop running GUI for HTML

    My NWBC Desktop installation is running all SAP transactions using the SAP GUI for HTML.  How can I fix my NWBC installation to use the desktop SAP GUI instead of the GUI for HTML?

    First of all a supported SAP GUI for Windows version needs to be installed, it is best to go with the latest one which is 7.30 PL 9. That said at least 7.20 PL 8 is required. Secondly you have to maintain connection entries both in SAP Logon as well as NWBC connections. Thirdly make sure that in NWBC connections the SAP GUI Logon Description field matches the description of the same system in SAP Logon. If it still isn't working, activate trace in NWBC and share the result as an attachment, not embedded in the body of the message.

  • GUI for HTML on MC9090 WM5

    Hi everybody,
    I'm playing with a MC9090 Handheld and would like to know if it's possible to access SAP  (ECC6) through the GUI for HTML interface from a Netweaver Portal environment or else directly to ECC if this is the only way it can work.
    Currently when I enter the ECC address on the Handheld, I get the Netweaver Portal screen, enter my credentials and get a blank screen (if I do the same on my laptop, I directly get a SAP session).  On the Handheld, I'm running Windows Mobile 5 and attempting to access ECC through Pocket IE.  I tried with another browser (Opera) but then I get a message when attempting to display ECC that the page is incompatible with the browser.
    Any information around software setup, handheld config (or Portal or ECC) I would need to perform ot make this work would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Michel

    Dear Michel,
    Full desktop browsing is expected to come to PIE before second half next year for Windows Mobile 6.1 and Windows Mobile 6.5 (yet to be released). Till that time we cannot use GUI for HTML on PIE of Windows Mobile devices.
    In Opera Mobile 9.5 - use opera:config to change / spoof the user agent to Desktop IE6 (agent id 3 if I am not wrong). This should allow you to use GUI for HTML, but some fuctionalities willbe broken - thanks to browser specific coding!

  • Desktop agent keeps initalizing, cannot uninstall either

    For a few weeks now my Desktop agent keeps initalizing and it kicks me out of the supervisor console. When I try to install another version it says "A conflicting application has been detected. See product documentation for a listing of valid configurations.
    There is not an option in add/remove to delete the program either
    Used the documents that cisco has on their site to manually uninstall and they do not point me to a useful solution
    deleted the folder that contains agent and it cannot install a new copy
    Update
    By deleting the supervisor console it removed the agent, this did not fix the issue after reinstalling
    Any suggestions?

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    I suggest this thread:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/Cleanly-quot-Starting-Over-quot-with-...
    It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
    Sometimes, if an older version won't uninstall, installing a newer version and then removing it will complete the removal of the old one as well.
    Good luck!

  • Creating a GUI for use on an Ethernet Network

    I'm designing a data logger to log voltage, current and temperature data on a reserve battery string while it's being charged. The logger will have the capability to be viewed remotely via Ethernet. With that said, I'd like some advice regarding the GUI for the remote PC which will be used to view the logger. Will it be easier to create the GUI using LabView or another high-level language  (Java, C++ etc)? (Note: I have some programming experience in C (though I've never written/created a GUI) and I've never used LabView).
    Solved!

    Hi Joe1373.  In general, for a small one-off project, I would suggest you go with a language you know.
    In this case it sounds like whatever you choose you will have a learning curve, so I would recommend
    LabVIEW if that is a possibility cost-wise.  LV has a lot of built-in support for GUI development so
    you can make realtively sophisticated GUIs without a whole lot of work/learning.
    There are time-limited evaluation versions of LV available for download.  I would take a look there, especially
    the examples.  Find something a little similar to what you want to do, then change the GUI on the
    example to more closely match your ultimate objective to get a feel for the GUI development in LV.
    This forum is a great resource with some very helpful developers, so come back with questions.
    There are also many professional developers available to assist if you have a budget or inclination
    towards that direction.

  • CTI OS desktop agent cannot answer call

    Hello All,
    I am seeking a suggession on a issue which seems to be lying with network.
    Agents are located in different location and all remaining Cisco components like ICM, CVP and CCM are in data center.
    Agent succesfully logs in via CTI os Dsktop agent and IP phone, but when call is transferred, its state fluctuates between ready and reserved. CTI OS desktop agent never goes to talking state and call never lands on IP phone.
    Network team claims nacessary routing and firewall ports are already open.
    Seeking suggesion to further isolate and what logs/traces can be collected to identify the source of issue.
    Tried 1 test agent login in data center and observed that in data center call lands to agent succesfully.
    Any directions/pointers?
    TIA
    Regards,
    Kailash

    Hi Kailash,
    Could you please check the below points:
    1. Check if you associated the Agent phones to CCMPG user.
    2.Symptom: Agent receives calls, but loses them after a few seconds before they can be answered.
    Possible Cause The Ring No Answer feature is probably set on your ICM system. Open the ICM Configuration Manager and increase that value or disable it all together. (Refer to the ICM Administration Guide for Cisco ICM Enterprise Edition for more information on how to configure the Ring No Answer feature.)
    3. Make sure the CSS and partitions are proper.
    Also refer the below troubleshooting guide for more information,

  • Supervisor Desktop Agent View

    Hi,
    I'm currently running UCCX 8 and have strange issue in Supervisor Desktop with the name display for one of the agents!
    For all the other agents the information keyed into end user (on CUCM8) for the last name, first name fields is showing correctly in desktop. However i have one agent where it is showing a completely different name to what is entered in the end user entry!
    Has anyone any ideas as to where else it could be pulling this information from or why it is displaying incorrecly for one agent yet the other 30 are correct?!
    Thanks

    The other thing to do is to download a free ldap browser (almost everyone uses the same one - version 2.8.2 of Jarek Gawor's application) and connect to the Calabrio LDAP - use port = 38983 and set the BASEDN to  o=Spanlink Communications. It will look like this for an anonymous connection:
    Have a browse through the LDAP until you find your agent. Check what is there - this is the source, and sync will just populate the source from the SQL database. This may shed some light on the problem - why it is not being updated to match the SQL DB.
    For anyone who plays with CAD at a big site, the LDAP browser is essential.

  • Creating a Java GUI for a C/C++ program

    I'm tasked with creating a GUI for a multi-threaded C++ network server program that has it's main function running with a while loop that checks for keystrokes from the user. The C++ code for the loop is basically:
    while(i!='q')
    if(kbhit())
    i=getch();
    processkey(i);
    }And the processkey function performs different actions based on the key that was pressed.
    I was reading up on ways to interface between Java and C/C++ and heard of JNI, but I also found someone who suggested using the Java Robot class to send the keystrokes from my GUI to the C++ program.
    I've been trying to make a small test case application using the Robot class before trying to implement it in my larger project.
    I created a program with a JFrame with two buttons, one starts a simple C++ program that loops, waiting for keypresses and which will close when 'q' is pressed, like my main program.
    private void jButton1ActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) {
            try {
                Runtime.getRuntime().exec("C:/Users/Administrator1/Desktop/Untitled2.exe");
                // TODO add your handling code here:
            } catch (IOException ex) {
                Logger.getLogger(NewJFrame.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex);
            // TODO add your handling code here:
        }The other button creates a Robot instance and tells that robot to send a key press of 'q', which should terminate the C++ program.
    private void jButton3ActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) {
            try {
                Robot robot = new Robot();
                // Creates the delay of 5 sec so that you can open notepad before
                // Robot start writting
                //robot.delay(5000);
                robot.keyPress(KeyEvent.VK_Q);
            } catch (AWTException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
        }It isn't working though. Could it be because when the program is started from my Java app, it runs in the background rather than opening in a new command prompt window? Or is Robot not the way to go, and if so, are there any examples and/or tutorials online that could help me?

    When you clicked the button, what application do you think has the focus at that point? So what do you think consumes the keystroke that you emulated? Hint: It wouldn't be the application you intended it to go to.
