Desktop App cannot connect

I recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro 11 and I have been attempting to use the FormsCentral desktop app; however I get a "A connection with the FormsCentral Server could not be established." My office does utilize a proxy server. How would you setup FormsCentral with respect to a proxy server?

Yes, I can sign-in to https://formscentral.acrobat.com/SignIn.html from my office. I actually have been demoing the free account for people at my office and the web app works great. I downloaded the upgrade yesterday to my desktop and the build number is 1.0:697665-A. I was a bit suprised to see I have an update for Acrobat Pro 11 already, but I have not updated anything since installing the product. This is weird because Acrobat functions like saving files to the cloud works great; however Acrobat is using the standard proxy settings that I have on my machine. I had my IT look at it with Fiddler and they can't seem to locate what is blocked and it appears that FormsCentral is trying to go on an outside port.

  • "The BlackBerry Desktop Software cannot connect with this device." after repair

    I download the Desktop Software for BlackBerry onto my Mac Book Pro for the first time. 
    After installing I connected my PlayBook. I get the message "The BlackBerry® Desktop Software cannot connect with this device."
    The program suggested I repair the device software, so I did. After that I set it up and ran the updates.
    When I plug it back in I get the exact same message.
    What should I do next?

    I also cannot connect to my two playbooks using desktop manager on mac.
    One of the two playbooks is now shipped back to rim for repair (see here http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/5MP-Playbook-Camera-Blackscreen-Errors-Ha... The issue of desktop manager not being able to connect to the playbook started with this playbook when the repair I was prompted to to stopped 1/4 way into it. Multiple retries did not make any difference. 
    Since then, I have tried connecting my other (functioning) playbook to the same mac but when I plug in usb cable I get the same "cannot connect" errmsg and prompted to "repair". I am definitely NOT going to "repair" this one. So I uninstalled the desktop manager and reinstalled it to see if it makes a difference. Unfortunately it did not and I get the same "cannot connect" errmsg.
    If anyone has any suggestion how this issue can be resolved that would be great. I think something is stuck on the mac and is not getting wiped out when desktop manager is uninstalled. Thanks.

  • IPhone Mail App cannot connect with gmail iMap server

    So my gmail address list or contacts seems to have been hacked and all my contacts who are still talking to me have told me so.
    So I changed my gmail password.
    No more complaints, and probably no more friends as contacts.
    But seriously, I have been able to get gmail (web) working with my new double authentication password(s). Also, my outlook for MAC is working using the special "generated App Password". (because Outlook cannot do the double authentication thingie)
    Ditto for the gmail app from google on my iPhone. (it works too)
    BUT
    I cannot get the iPhone Mail App to connect to Gmail.
    I have deleted (i thought) my existing gmail setup from my iPhone. When I try to re establish the gmail settings, using either the password generated by the MAC / iCloud keychain generator or the App password, I get the message "My Name" is already added.
    It looks to me that there is something in the iPhone that matches my gmail address, even though I deleted the account.
    Any suggestions before I call Apple for help?

    I think so.
    Actually I think I need to get the App Password for Mail on my phone. It generates the app password and I enter it into the password in the gmail setup for mail.
    The problem is that when I hit next on that page, I get the message:
    "my name" is already added" and I cannot proceed.
    Before doing this setup I deleted my gmail account by tapping the email address and hitting delete in the Mail, Contact and Calendars setup..
    but, there is something hiding in my iPhone that remembers my old gmail password (I guess) and doesn't let me proceed.
    If I enter my gmail iChain password I get the same thing.
    If i do this in airplane mode (no connection to google) i also get the same.
    I talked to an apple care person who had me reset all my settings... still the same thing.
    I am trying to avoid a gull reset of the iPhone, but that may be in the cards.
    Going to go to the apple store and ask there, but i am not hopeful.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop App Not Connecting

    I have just updated the creative cloud desktop app and now I cannot install any apps. Every time I try an logi  in all i get is an Unknown Server Error (Sign in is currently unavailable. We are unabale to access your account. Please try again later). This has been going on since last night.
    1; I am logged in no problem via Firefox
    2: My subscription is up to date for another year
    3: I can even download and install the new creative cloud desktop app and that's as far as i can get...
    I have even deleted the creative cloud app and re-installed and get the same message..
    Any other suggestions anyone???

    Though I would also point out that you shouldn't need to ask users to do this kind of stuff - if there are known issues with cached user data then this should have been cleaned up automatically by the software update (especially since it seems to have forgotten my previous login settings anyway?).
    This is a similar point to the manual Adobe application cleaner tools that staff often ask users to run - these really shoudn't be needed if software is written correctly.
    In reference to the article you linked to, this seems to have been fairly hastily cobbled together. Solution 1 has "Delete the opm.db file." as it's sub-heading (?) but the steps involve renaming the file, not deleting it. This may sound like a minor gripe but I started searching the whole of my C: drive before realising the steps showed the filepath, and that renaming was required rather than deletion. In Solution 2, point 1b states "Choose an Adobe Creative Cloud and click Uninstall/Change." - I'm sure I don't need to point out the glaring grammatical error here.

    I found a minor bug in windows 8.1 that may need looking at. DNS CACHE SERVICE
    If I disable DNS service in windows 8.1, I cannot connect to the internet or other internet dependent APPS such as weather, I've noticed most of the apps are apps that use location service.
    When I enable DNS Cache we can use those apps without a problem. This causes a problem if We use our host file as a IP blocker or allow. DNS Cache needs to be disable for the host to work.
    This is the first time I have had this issue, so this must be a security update within the past few months.

    The hosts file is one of several system facilities that assists in addressing network nodes in a computer network. It doesn't recommend use to block IP adress. You can use firewall instead.

    I guess almost all the tech's on the net have to do the same. Hardly an answer for such a major issue.. Thanks for your input. We around the world prefer to use our host and will continue to do so.
    As you say, assisting network nodes, our ISP handles that. Enabling DNS is only assisting AD/Malware servers by caching them on our computers. I refuse being a cache server to any AD/Malware. Do you not think that is Microsoft goal too. Or is Microsoft changing
    its roll and sponsoring AD/Malware.
    On the positive side we have a choice. Thanks for that.

  • Can't update apps - 'cannot connect to itunes store'

    This is what I've been getting all weekend on my iPhone 4 (4.1).
    My Mac's iTunes also has been unable to deliver updates (OSX 10.6.4; iTunes 10.0.1); I can purchase and download iTunes music/videos just fine; but the check for app updates just spins for a bit and returns nothing.
    *But my iPad can see and download it's app updates just fine!*
    Any hints/suggestions? I've rebooted and logged in/out of my store account but that doesn't seem to fix it. Everything was working fine until this weekend....

    This is happening to me too, I'm in the UK - (are you in the US?), and when I try to update my apps via the 'app store' on my iPhone itself I get the message 'cannot connect to iTunes store', and when I go into (the latest version of) iTunes, and click 'check for updates' the blue/white striped bar goes across for about one second then just stops, without the message telling me that there are updates, or that there are no updates available.
    I really hope that Apple sorts this out soon, or at least acknowledges that there is a problem, when companies don't tell their customers what is really going on it causes all kinds of rumour and conjecture that could be worse than just telling it to us straight.

    What is the exact error message you are getting? If I understand correctly you were able to update Adobe Application Manager to the Creative Cloud desktop app but the desktop is not working because of a server error. That right?

  • Yosemite - Unable to access desktop when Remote Desktop app is connected to an RDP session

    Since updating to Yosemite, after connecting full screen to any server you cannot get back to desktop as it seems the RDP session takes over the primary desktop and scrolling further left on the trackpad takes you to the Yosemite dashboard and you cannot

    This happens since the beta and is still an issue using the released version. When will this be fixed??

  • Mail app works fine, all other apps cannot connect to wifi - suggestions?

    I can connect fine to my work wifi but only the mail app is working - googlemail account. Safari cannot find server and all other apps requiring wifi do not work.
    All of the apps work fine when connecting to my home wifi so nothing wrong with the ipod.
    Confused. Do different apps use different wifi settings?
    Any help would be much appeciated!!

    There might be a filter or firewall at work preventing access to internet. Check with your network administrator.

  • YouTube App : Cannot Connect to YouTube

    I have had this problem for a while and cannot resolve.  There appears to be a fair few people with this issue and no resolution.
    A few facts: My ipad is not jailbroken or interfered with in any way, I sync with a Windows PC NOT a Mac, ISP and router are fine, tried YouTube app on other wifi networks and same issue - still receive same error, iTunes works fine on both PC and iPad.  I have tried sync multiple times and reboots.  Safari can access YouTube web site - some videos do play and some not (i guess this is the flash issue - hence why I want the app to work)
    Various other posts mention some sort of 'token' that YouTube may need however I have no idea how to check this or reset it.
    Any help appreciated - ideally a step by step fix directly from Apple would be great.

    Has anyone found a solution for this?  I have the same problem, same situation and tried the same remedies as the OP to no avail.  I really don't want to do a restore and lose the photos, notes and data on my phone.

  • Windows 2008 R2 Standard Remote Desktop Users cannot Connect

    I have a windows 2008 R2 Standard Terminal Server and some users aren't able to connect even though they are in groups that are in Remote Desktop Users on the local computer.  I checked the local security policy setting "Allow log on through Remote
    Desktop Services" and I see that Remote Desktop Users is a member of this group.  Inside of Remote Desktop Users we have DOMAIN\Domain Users and DOMAIN\Terminal Users.  Most of our users are in both groups, but there are still some people that
    aren't able to connect via Remote Desktop to this computer.  There are no users in "Deny logon through Terminal Services."

    Please check by creating new user add them to “Remote Desktop Users” group and then see whether that test user can remote desktop to the server.

  • Error when installing apps: Cannot connect to iTunes store

    I have a 3G and i've been able to download and install apps through the app store via iPhone. Recently, the iTunes store on my computer gives the error "We could not complete your iTunes store request. An Unknown error occured (5002)" anytime i search or try to download. Similarly on my iPhone i cannot download through the App Store ever since the computer store error, which i concluded to be a linked error. What is error 5002 exactly, and should I just reinstall iTunes to see if the error is corrected?

    Do you see the same issue after downloading FREE ON iTunes content and then syncing it to the iPhone? You can find FREE ON iTunes content by going to iTunes> iTunes Store> FREE ON iTunes near the bottom center of the page.
