Desktop App Screen Goes 'Off-screen'

The app starts up but then in the wink of an eye it's gone. Using Expose I can see it but although it will drag in Expose that changes nothing. Clicking on it's Spaces Options I made sure it's suppose to show on All screens.
I've reset PRAM and NVRAM, but no change. I've disconnect other monitors. I've started up in Single-user mode.
ONE THING WORKED: I set up another User account and from there is works okay.
But it's a valuable app to me and I would like to access it on my main Administrative account.
Any ideas? There's something 'extra distressing' about it, being able to see it in Expose but not able to get to it.
No other apps do this.

Wow! That worked, fantastic! (It's been such an annoyance). Um...I delete from both places.
Note: I was a bit 'chicken-hearted' about deleting so many files in my ~/Library/Caches and in ~/Library/Preferences that I found just the two files (respectively) for the App name and deleted them.
But, considering your suggestion, I suppose we could just delete all those files in Caches and Preference and it does no harm!? -- Well, this will be a useful tip to remember.

Semi-black screen of death: desktop app screen mostly black on deployment

Hi I've got a problem running an executable .jar on a friend's machine. Here is what happens:
Open the jar, and the main frame opens. All of the combo boxes on the desktop application appear fine, but the background, text boxes, jtree navigation, and labels appear black. The menu bar is fine, and also the a checkbox and the first selected jtree node. Two of the 6 buttons are fine but the rest show as black. When my friend clicks one of the buttons that brings up another window, everything on the panel is white except for the comboboxes.
I've installed this software on three Windows XP machines, and one Windows Home Premium 64 bit machine with no problems, everything appears fine. I'm about to try it out on a Vista Home Premium 32 bit. The offending machine is a Windows home Premium 64 bit machine. I'll be able to remote desktop into my friend's machine soon, but they don't know a lot about computers or programming. I'm not sure where the proper forum for this question is, because many of the swing elements appear correctly, I don't think it is a swing problem, but a problem with the deployment somehow. If anyone has any ideas on how to begin troubleshooting this, let me know.

I used Netbeans to develop the code.
1) I'll work up a SSCCE later tonight after I can take a look at my friend's machine.
2) The program is a simple database desktop app that allows my friend to look through a document repository (mysql database). It keeps track of correspondence: Titles of letters, date of letter reception, Authors of letters, Categories of letters, Storage locations of letters. It lets my friend save them to a tree-like explorer interface, as well as search them. It also displays a PDF help file. The problem my friend is having when the program starts up blacks out the JTree letter explorer, and blacks out the search text box and a few of the search buttons.
3)I will see if I get a stack trace on startup. That is a good place to begin. I've installed it on two more Vista machines today, and was unable to replicate the problem.

Alerts for the Reminders app are going off early

For some reason, after I check off a daily repeating reminder item, I will get another alert a few minutes later for the next instance of the task for the following day. Anyone else seeing this and any idea on how to fix? I've restarted the phone, deleted and recreated the reminder but still no luck.

I would love to see reminders with better snchronization features... Not just between ios and OSX but also between ical-google cal etc...
A good alternative right now is Wunderlist from the Mac app store.
Pretty much does the same thing..
It has Notification and widget snchronization with Yosemite.
It also syncs between Ical Google Calendar, android and ios....
Reminders needs a lot of work in my opinion.
Wunderlist does what Reminders should be doing.
It definitely addresses 1, 2
3 is also done... You will have to check it out to see if it does it the way you want....
If its for bussiness I would suggest you use the pro paid version for added functionality.
Free version is however great also.

CC Desktop App login problem

Hi,
I have migrated over to a new iMac and am having trouble with CC.
I just get a blank desktop app screen with no chance to login.
I have tried the items mentioned on other forums about deleting ppm.db files and deleting OOBE folders but neither have helped.
I have also deleted all CC apps and the desktop app and still no luck.
I have reinstalled the CC desktop app but still it is blank and does not allow a login.
I\ve attached a pic of what i'm getting.
Any help would be appreciated.

When FT is full screen, camera goes off when swiping to a different app

When FT is full screen, camera goes off when swipping to a different app or the desktop. This is frustrating to the other person. We were having a discussion and I said I wouls look it up and when I swipped to Safari, the camera went off. It makes the other person think the connection has been lost. Anywhere to report issues like this to Apple?

In reading other threads, I found a few that recommend a hard reset to solve the issue. I have tried it, and thus far haven't expereienced the problem again. Hopefully that's it then

I purchased an iPhone 4s on Nov. 20th. I immediately had to update the software to ios 6.0.1. I cannot even get through 1 day without the phone battery losing all power. It loses 10-20% per hour, and that's with apps closed, wifi off, bluetooth off, screen dark, updates current, etc. You can hold the phone in your hand and watch the power go down. It also gets very warm. I have to charge it once or twice a day so I have it when I need it.
I took it in to the Sprint store for diagnostics to see if there was something wrong with the phone. They said the phone is ok, but one of the agents said it's the last update - he has had problems ever since. He said he thought they are working on fixing it & we should be getting another update to fix it. Is this true? I sure hope so! They also showed me how to reboot the phone, especially when it gets so warm. Is there anything else I need to do? Please help!
This is my first iPhone and I am very frustrated and disappointed in Apple. If it's the software, I would think they would be frantically trying to fix it. This phone was not the cheapest phone, so the battery life should be better!

After some troubleshooting, I decided to order a new battery. I replaced the battery and was then able to get it to restore, however--after I restore it and it comes time to restart the phone, it gets stuck and doesn't turn on.

After you ruined the iPhone with DIY, Apple won't touch it anymore. You should have asked before all these had happened.
I'm an android user myself and I love rooting/flashing new ROMS, so if jailbreaking her phone or doing some kind of super-restore with 3rd party programs might help, I'm all for it-

When i run Here Map app and after the timeout the screen goes off and when i turn on screen back the app will be closed.Is this a problem or fire fox OS works like this ?

Apps Tab in CC Desktop App giving Download Error Screen

Ever since the udate to Mavericks on my Mac, I have had this issue. I cannot view apps to install or install apps through the CC Desktop App. I have deleted the AAMUpdater Folder, I've renamed the opm.db file like in other posts and it still doesn't fix it. I've also, uninstalled and reinstalled the Creative Cloud Desktop App with the previously mentioned files deleted/renamed and that doesn't work either. Creative Cloud Desktop App needs to be fixed.

Internet connection is fine. Even turned off any firewalls running and it still doesn't work. All tabs work except for the Apps Tab. All I get is this screen:

For the last 2 days, I have been getting this blank app screen. I am unable to login or get any work done.
I called on Friday around 7pm PST and they said they were closed. 24/7 monday-friday?
I chatted with Aneesh online and he/she was incrediby useless. "You will have to call Technical Support on Monday".
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but to no avail. This is something that should NEVER happen. I haven't had an issue like this with adobe ever and now I am seriously starting to doubt your competancy. I just paid my membership a couple days ago and then this happens? That fact that you customer service agent didn't have the capability to fix the issue is absurd and he/she should have been able to do something or contact someone to allow me to access the applications.
In Summary: the convenience of the applications is very restricted when it comes to a weekend with a software malfunction.
I am very pissed and reading past situations, I'm sure you will have no compensation for the loss of time and money since friday night.
This is disappointing.

Mine did that just now and I drug it down below the bottom of my screen and back up and things were visible, again. There seems to be a problem with the video rendering of some of its screen elements. I have an older video card with not a lot of memory so maybe that is my problem. I have my CC Desktop app configured as a free-floating window instead of docked, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to drag it down off the bottom of my screen. Does it help to reboot, which would obviously refresh everything?

Try toggling Settings > iCould > Contacts off and on and see if it then works.
If it doesn't then try closing Settings completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Settings 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Settings app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

this is happening more and more.. I try to google something and the screen goes dark and I am back at my home page or app screen. It has done it with a few app and now the app store.

See if any of these basic troubleshooting steps help at all.

Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

I have an iMac 8, 1 that I upgraded Leopard to Snow Leopard. It was totally updated with the latest from Apple when I bought and tried installing Lion. The upgrade failed, shot my OS and I couldn't boot. Had the constant spinner on a grey screen.. did a format of the drive, hdd repair and everything came back clean... got back to Snow Leopard and all the updates on it again and then retried the Lion thing... same bs... dead duck. Crashed my system one too many times. I can't see where a few small changes, mostly app related can be classified as an OS upgrade and is not compatible with my iMac. I have the stuff running on my Mac Pro but have yet to notice anything impressive. I've always used F3 and really didn't require Mission Control. Just open you app folder for launch pad... duh? I use the hot corners anyhow. As far as Safari is concerned... as a power user, Apple missed the boat on that for me.. full screen etc.. Wow. I don't like the new Mail either..
As you can see/read, I'm less than impressed with this release from Apple but I own so many of their products that I will have to put up with it for now... somehow the MS logo should apply to this release Steve.

When I use maps as a gps, how do I stop the screen from going off?

But, that makes the auto-lock feature be turned off for all usages. What about if you only want the screen to stay on while you're using Maps? I have to turn off the auto-lock every time and then go back and turn it back on? It seems like this should be a setting in the Maps app instead of having to change the master settings.

You can try disabling emoticons and image previews in your IM appearance settings in your Skype options to see if that changes anything. Some people running Windows XP have had odd graphical and resource issues with versions of Skype above 7.5. The alternative solution would be to downgrade to Skype 7.5 for the time being. My iPhone 4S won't let me send any text messages, I can see the recent ones but when I go to type back the screen goes off and it goes back to the home screen?

I have had my iPhone 4S for a while and it's worked perfectly. Messages were going through fine and everything. I went on this morning as I had a text from someone. I opened the text and the screen just went back to the homepage. It has never done this before so I tried opening it again. The same happened again. I opened a recent text and I can read the old messages fine, it's just as soon as I click to message/text them back it just goes off.
I tried with Facebook mailing and the same happens, it just goes off. And when I go on safari and try and type something in it goes off.
I don't know what to do. I have tried turning it off and on and that didn't work. I have tried resetting network connections and I just don't know what to do. I am currently trying to software update to the iOS 7.0.4 to see if that has anything do with it. As before I clicked to text the person back a carrier question came up and it has come up before, could that have something to do with it?
Please can you help me?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Try each of these in order until the issue goes away.
