Desktop Calendar Coming up "Uninstalled"

I've had my blackberry curve since March and had no problem synching it with the desktop software.  All of a sudden after the latest update my calendar has become "uninstalled".  I have tried reinstalling the software and rebooting the phone but nothing has worked.
help!

I have provided some information below that may help.
Step 1 – (If applicable) try restoring a backup file. (Instructions below)
http://support.vzw.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=13983
Step 2 – Try using the application loader on the Blackberry Desktop manager to transfer the calendar application back on to the device.
Step 3 – Try to remove the initial synchronization and set it back up. (Instructions below)

I recommend reaching out to Citrix via their support system -

The receiver app has a specific list of servers it's compatible with, if the server is not on the list the app won't work in OS X.

  • Error using "New" option on Desktop calendar (v. 6.2) with Vista Business

Until I tried this, I though all my 6.2-Vista problems were solved. My hotsyncs now work perfectly, and when I enter a new event on my handheld it appears on the Desktop after syncing.  However, when I right click on a "New" event that I have just entered in the Desktop calendar in single-day mode and attempt to put in the "Details" (start and end time, repeats, etc.), I get a "program error", the application closes, and I lose the data that I typed in, namely, the name of the event.  Note that the name of the event can be entered without creating an error; it's only when I try to add the "Details" that the program error occurs.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.  [My handheld device is a Tungsten E2.]

  • Importing desktop calendar into mobile me web based calendar

I couldn't understand why the additions and modifications made to my desk top calendar were not syching with my iphone (NOT the new 3G). I went into mobile me web based calendar and realized that that calendar (originally taken from info on my enterage calendar) is all that is being synched. How can I "import" my desktop calendar to my mobile me calendar for purposes of synching?

Have you looked at MobileMe support on Apple's website?
    They have setup instructions, FAQ,etc:

  • Desktop calendar with version 4.3? Former Treo owner.

I am a former Treo user and have recently changed to the Pearl I have not been able to add events to my calendar on outlook 2003 and then synch with the Pear I figured there would be a automatic option to do this when I hook up my pearl to the computer  If I am unable to synch with outlook 2003 is there a desktop calendar for Blackberry that I can use to add events to my calendar that will transfer over when I synch my Pearl

Inside Desktop Manager, have you gone to Synchronize > Configuration > Configure Sync? This will allow you to configure your organizer to sync with the BlackBerry.

  • What desktop calendar/address book functions work with the Pearl?

I'm trying to figure out what calendar and address book programs I can use on my PC that will work/sync with the Blackberry Pearl 8130. Wording in the manuals seems to indicate that Lotus Notes & Outlook would sync, but I don't use either one of those (and don't want to). Is there a way to connect the Pearl with any other on-desktop calendar? Does Blackberry have one that I just can't find?

Answering my own question, after having a cup of coffee..... I found Windows Hotmail Calendar, so I can use it quite easily on my computer (Window 7). Next time I'll have the coffee before I ask the question.

  • Desktop calendar for PC Suite/Nokia 5500?

I don't use MS Outlook, but want a basic desktop calendar that will sync with my 5500. At the moment, I can't back-up calendar entries or create and amend them on my PC - very frustrating.
Anyone found an application or add-on that integrates with Nokia PC Suite?

So, you can only use the full Outlook or Lotus Notes/Organizer, I think, if you want PC Suite sync with a calendar.

  • What are other good desktop calendars for mac besides iCal?

I hope I'm not being inappropriate asking this question in the iCal forum...but I'm switching over from my palm desktop calendar and try as I might, I just don't like the iCal calendar. I don't find it user friendly. I find it clunky. The Todo list doesn't work for me. Naming an event has too many steps involved.
Interesting, because I like the address book app, but not iCal.
Does anyone have any good ideas? Sunbird on Firefox was even more complicated.
I want easy to use and easy to read and very easy to look up quickly.
Oh, the reason I'm switching from Palm to something else is because my palm died of course and I just got an iPod Touch so I would love to end up with something that syncs with Mac desktop and my iPod Touch.
    Thanks,
    Myles

I am currently researching this problem but need some help with it too. I have been a faithful mac user for 14 years and have learned to love the easy interface, attractive screens, colorful graphics (of events), plentiful fields (address book) and feature rich palm (formerly Claris) calendar and address book.
When I encountered ical and address book, I found that the features were clunky, the customized fields more limited and the whole interface less adept. I kept to the Palm. As of May 10, 2009, I have and ipod touch. I have proved often to myself that the ical and address book format won't work for me. I can't even import some of the fields I use often for my business.
If you hear of improvements to the current software, a new app that has both a desktop and ipod app, or discover a way to sync the touch to the palm software I am eager to make my ipod more functional as a personal manager.

  • My Arch Way almost reached...but I want a desktop calendar!

I'm achieving computing nirvana (ohmmm) but I've got one thing bugging me: I can't seem to find a good desktop calendar.
I tried Rainlendar, but it's real buggy in Openbox (Rainlendar goes gray a lot, requires killing/restarting it) and also includes itself in the Alt+Tab list, which ticks me off to no end. That's my main way of switching applications and I want my open applications, not widgets.
So, I'm looking for a calendar with few dependencies (GTK is fine, most of my apps are GTK, but as little GNOME deps as possible) that can schedule events and show me the date, upcoming events, current events, tasks, etc. I want one that won't bug up every time I add an event, and one that will play like Conky and keep itself on the desktop and out of my Alt+Tab list. Preferably transparent-backgrounded (a la Conky!).
    Is there such a thing?

For those searching for a simpler application, xdiary is a very light calendar.
    http://freshmeat.net/projects/xdiarycalendar/
Xdiary is a simple X11 application that displays a one-month or full-year calendar, in association with a two-pane daily diary. The first pane shows the current day items, and the second pane shows the past and next items to come. The internal editor allows drag-n-drop, has a few emacs-like bindings, and is rather efficient in spite of a small memory footprint. Xdiary can print diaries and month/year calendars, and supports seven languages.
    Hvala anrxc!
This looks promising. Might be just what I need!

  • Centro will not sync with Palm desktop - Calendar and/or Contacts

I have used a Palm device for many years. Acquired a new Centro. Upon installation of Palm Desktop (on Windows XP) that came with Centro, all contacts, calendar, to do, memos, etc transferred to the Centro during installation.
Subsequent changes to contacts and/or calendar on Centro are not syncing with Palm desktop when Hot Sync is performed. Hot Sync starts and appears to complete normally. To Do list and memos appear to sync just fine. Have tried changing conduits to have Centro overwrite desktop. Have uninstalled/reinstalled Desktop many times.

I have a Centro/Verizon Wireless using Versamail with accounts established for personal POP and Exchange e-mail synchronization.  The latter account is for work.  Previously I owned a Treo 650p using Versamail.
When I first installed Palm OS Desktop and synched to my Centro device, it was on a Windows XP home computer, and no Versamail accounts were defined.  First I downloaded and installed the Versamail version which allowed Exchange synchronization.  I exported the Treo650p contacts list to a disk file, and imported it onto the Windows XP home computer into the Palm OS Desktop installed with the Centro-supplied CD.  This synched the imported contacts list to the Centro fine.  After I defined all the POP and Exchange accounts, synchronization with the office Exchange contacts list worked fine, and still does.  Synchronization with the windows XP home computer for contacts seems to still be ok, too regardless of the MS Exchange Versamail account commingling with my personal POP accounts.  Maybe the install sequence is overriding the previous posts' notation that MS Exchange mail definition will override synch with Palm OS Desktop?
The problem now is I have a different/second home computer that's Vista os.  I installed the Palm OS Desktop and synch with the Treo.  The contacts list is not synching to this second home computer, maybe because I didn't follow the exact same sequence as for the Windows XP pc?  I can still synch my Centro with my Windows XP pc and that includes contacts.
Is there a way on this second pc to override the MS Exchange contacts override for synchronization without having to go through the exact same install sequence as occurred on the Windows XP machine?

  • Can't sync Desktop calendar with T5

I decided to switch from Outlook to Palm Desktop as main PIM after a configuration change at office which prevented from syncing with Outlook. First global HotSync froze on Calendar, so I restarted without Calendar. Everything else was sync'd between my T5 and Palm Desktop (contacts, memos, notes, pictures, ...). But if I added Calendar in the list, HotSync would freeze again on Calendar sync. After a while I attempted to sync Calendar alone. It worked in the end. After that, I could again globally sync my T5 and Palm Desktop. I really don't remember exactly what I did to make it work.
Periodically, my T5 does not sync, but syncing first without Calendar, then Calendar alone solves the problem.
T5 with Palm OS Garnet 5.4.8, HotSync 5.0P, firmware update v1.1
Configuration at my office: Windows XP Pro, Palm Desktop 6.2.2, HotSync 6.2, USB connection
Since I'm going to leave my company, I want to save my data on an old home computer running Windows 2000 (temporary backup before switching to Linux, but I have no time presently to dig into this solution). I installed the Palm software from the CD (Palm Desktop 4.0), but I could not sync my T5. I did the same trick: everything but Calendar, then Calendar alone, but HotSync freezes on Calendar sync (on PC side, for, when time-out is up, T5 aborts HotSync operation and resumes standard work).
To be in the same conditions as at my office, I uninstalled PD 4.0, then downloaded 4.1.4E (same behavior), then 6.2.2 (failure again) (uninstalling between every trial). I started all over again, without uninstalling, to get a net upgrade effect, but it did not solve the problem.
My home configuration: Windows 2000 Pro, Palm Desktop 6.2.2, HotSync 6.2, USB connection
Status: can sync everything but Calendar on T5
I recently bought a Centro smart phone. I have the same problem: no Calendar sync because of freezing.
After browsing on the net, I tried to sync thru Bluetooth/virtual serial port but it freezes too while trying to sync Calendar.
    Any known workaround?
    With my advance thanks,
    AJL
