Desktop Calender not Sync with handheld

I cannot get my Desktop calender to sync with my palm.  I read previous posts on this problem and found one that would help but cannot follow his instructions.  My handheld is using Outlook , my information is in Desktop calender.  How do I change the settings to have it read Desktop.

If you want to change the sync to Palm desktop instead of Outlook, on the PC go to start, programs, palm, pim conduit sync and change the sync to Palm desktop. If you don't see pim conduit sync, you will need to use the install CD and then during the install process, select Palm desktop instead of Outlook.
You stated the calendar will not sync, are you getting Olerr messages in the hotsync log for Outlook calendar?

  • Ipad air calender not syncing with iphone 5s calender

I create an event on my iphone 5s, it shows up on icloud but will not sync with my ipad air?
I have searched for a solution with no success
    help please

    Howdy andyq180,
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.
From your post I see that your iPad is not able to sync the iCloud calendar content from either iCloud.com or your other iOS device.  To troubleshoot this, please follow the steps outlined below.
    General troubleshooting
Check the System Status page to make sure there aren't any issues affecting iCloud Calendars.
Check your settings and preferences, because something may not be set up correctly. For example, having incorrect date and time settings can cause issues that are easily resolved by entering the appropriate settings.
    Troubleshooting on iOS devices
First, confirm that you've turned on iCloud Calendar by tapping Settings > iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, then check that Calendars is turned on.
If you are having trouble with the Calendar app on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) and iCloud Calendar, try these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved.
Make sure you've updated to iOS 5 or later. If your issue isn't resolved, try installing the latest version of iOS supported by your device. For instructions on setting up iOS for iCloud, see iCloud Setup.
Make sure your iOS device is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com in Safari. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in your Calendar application. Learn how to troubleshoot your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Calendar requires port 443 access to iCloud to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
If recent changes don't appear, try to refresh your calendars:
In iOS 7, open Calendar and tap the Calendars tab to load the Calendars list, then pull down on the list to refresh.
In iOS 6 or iOS 5, open Calendar and tap Calendars in the top-left corner to load the Calendars list. Then tap the Refresh button in the lower-left corner of the Calendars list window.
If you've recently made changes to your contacts' birthdays and are not seeing those changes reflected in your Birthdays Calendar, try to refresh your calendars. If you made the changes in the Contacts app on your Mac or at iCloud.com, it may take up to an hour for those changes to appear on your other devices.
If you add new events on your iOS device, but they do not update on iCloud.com or your other devices, confirm that you've added the event to an iCloud calendar:
In iOS 7, open Calendar and tap the event to view the Event Details. Tap the calendar name to confirm that you've saved the event to an iCloud calendar.
In iOS 6 or iOS 5, open Calendar and tap the event to view the Event Details. Tap Edit > Calendar to confirm that you've saved the event to an iCloud calendar.
You may want to verify your default calendar settings. If you want to create new events in an iCloud calendar, set that calendar to be your default calendar. You can modify Default Calendar settings in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Default Calendar.
If you're using iOS 7, quit and restart the Calendar app:
Press the Home button twice to see preview screens of the apps you have open.
Find the Calendar preview screen and swipe it up and out of preview to quit the application.
Tap the Home button to return to your Home screen.
Wait a minute before reopening the Calendar app.
If you're using iOS 6 or iOS 5, quit and restart the Calendar app:
    Press the Home button.
Double-click the Home button to open the multitasking menu.
Tap and hold the Calendar icon until it jiggles.
Tap the "X" to remove Calendar from the list.
Press the Home button to go back to your Home screen. Wait a minute before reopening the Calendar app.
Restart your iOS device: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears, then drag the slider. After the device turns off, turn it back on by pressing the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
Change the Sync settings for your calendars:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Under Calendars, tap Sync. If Sync is set to All Events, set it to a specific duration, such as Events 1 Month Back. If it's already set to a specific duration, set it to All Events.
Tap the Home button. Wait several minutes, then open Calendar and try to refresh your calendars again.
Turn iCloud Calendar off and back on:
    Tap Settings > iCloud.
Turn off Calendar. Choose to delete data only if your data exists at icloud.com/calendar or on one or more of your computers. Otherwise, choose Keep Data.
Wait a few minutes before turning Calendar back on.

  • Entourage calender not syncing with iPad or iPhone anymore?

    Hi there
I've read several posts relating to this issue and everyone talks about iCal and which to use etc. I'm not a MAC user myself but one of my Directors are and he used to sync his Entourage 2008 calender and contacts between his MACBook, iPad and iPhone
At some point it stopped working (he's not sure when exactly but it was before he upgraded to Mavericks) and he asked that I try and resolve it.
I tried a couple of things - registering with iCloud, removing the sync settings in entourage and enabling them again, making sure his Outlook for Mac isnt intefering (he installed it alongside Excel but never used it) and disabling any sync services in his calender app on the MacBook (even though entourage was set as the default calender anyway).
The latter of the bunch I mentioned I did this morning but he isnt here (and neiher is his iPad or iPhone) so I havent been able to test whether its this.
Any suggestions? So far I've concluded from the posts I've read that icloud isnt going to work (and if I remember correctly, neither will Caldev or something) so thats basically what I've removed this morning from the calender app and made it inactive.
Anything else I should do to ensure its not trying to use iCloud but only iCal? Or am I barking up the wrong tree completely?
    Let me know!
    Regards
    Neville

Thanks everyone - not very positive but I was kind of expecting it since I read numerous other posts relating to the same issue.
Just to confirm then...this would affect any type of sync from Entourage to iPhone / iPad (like contacts, etc)? Because thats whats happening here aswell (contacts also not syncing).
Since it cannot be fixed or reverted back to the way things used to be, what does one stand to do now? As per one of the users that also responded here (where its actually affecting their business)...the end user in my case is one of the Directors of the company and travels alot for business - he cant NOT have his calenders, contacts etc sync anymore!
Which software / sync combination can we use and how do I set it up? With that said, how would we merge / migrate his EXTENSIVE mail, calender and contacts database in his Entourage he's built up over the years into the afore queried solution?
So we need to have his MacBook Pro with Mavericks sync all his calender, contact and related items sync with both his iPad and iPhone for when he travels. Mail account / messages not so much of an issue (but he mentioned that when he got an email on either mobile device and he subsequently downloaded or opened the same mail on his MAC, it would be removed from his iPad / iPhone automatically and as far as I know, this isn't happening anymore either).
Your help and insight so far is greatly appreciated.
    Regards

  • My iMac desktop is not syncing with iCloud.  Any suggestions?

All of a sudden, my iMac Desktop stopped syncing with iCloud.  My mail, notes, etc.  Have logged off, deleted the account and tried to start over, but to no avail.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  BTW, it syncs with my iPhone and iPad, just NOT with my Mac Desktop.

    Hello, John!
I see that you are not having and issue with the syncing between your computer and iCloud.  So we would need to look into the device settings to make sure all settings mirror what is set in the iCloud Control Panel.  I have included a couple articles that will assist you in troubleshooting your iPhone 5.  See the sections in the articles below referring to your iOS devices.

  • TS1347 IPAD calender not syncing with outlook calender

After updating to itunes my ipad calender does not update with outlook calender. It has not ever been a problem! I've synced several times and items that are in outlook are not appearing on my IPAD.

What version of Outlook do you have? It's possible that iOS6 has limited backwards compatibility.

  • My outlook calender not syncing with my upgraded ios8

I recently upgraded my iphone 5s to ios8 now calendar on my outlook icloud is not syncing?

Hi, The easiest way to fix this is to disable the calendar for you mail account. You will be prompted to delete all outlook related calendar entries from your iphone. Select OK to delete. Check your iphone calendar, it should now not contain any outlook entries. Then go back to your mail settings and re-enable your calendar. go and check your iphone calendar again. It should now be populated with the calendar entries from you outlook account.... This method of refreshing the information on your iphone can also be done with contacts.
    Hope this helps

  • Lightroom Desktop does not Sync with LR Mobile

I Synced about 10.000 Pictures to LR Mobile. Then I selected some Pictures ("accept" and "reject"), and moved Pictures from one collection to a new one.
I see These changes on the Adobe CC Website (LR Mobile Weblink).
Unfortunately, These Changes do not sync into LR Desktop. In LR Desktop I found there is a Folder "All Sync Errors". I removed the problem pictures from the collections they were in, so that they shouldn't be synced anymore. But the don't go awa from the "All Sync Errors" Folder.
Then I changed some Pictures in LR Desktop (exposure up).  Now These Pictures dissapeared from the Ipad, and also from the Adobe CC Website, but they appeared in the "All Sync Errors" Folder in LR Desktop.
I tried to stop and start syncing using the actionpanel, I also tried to log off and log on to the creative cloud (using Lightroom Desktop AND the Adobe CC Application)
How do I get the Sync running again?

I'll passed the log you've send to me to one of our dev. I'll come back to you as soon I have an update.
Could you try to remove the photos from sync and see if this helps. You can add them afterwards.

  • Calender not syncing with WinXP

My calendar is syncing fine between my Macbook and MobileMe, but not with my iPhone or WinXP?? Can I manually instruct the iPhone to sync? I have on WinXP.

    Hi Allen,
I have MS Office 2007 ... On the iPhone, by disabling Calendar sync and then enabling it again, the iPhone is now in sync. But the PC isn't. I tried repeating the disabling/re-enabling of Calendar sync on the PC, and closing Outlook.exe in Task Manager, but no luck ... yet.

  • Stolen 8330, Desktop will not sync with new phone

A kind person recent smashed my car window and took my 8330.
I regularly synched my old phone using the Desktop Manager.
Switch device wizard wants my old 8330 connected to sync the new 8330.
    Obviously, I don't have the old 8330.
I'm sure that I am missing something here.
Can anyone offer assistance?  Please!?!?!  I'm dying here.
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Good news then.
Connect your current device to the USB > PC.
    Open Desktop Manager > Backup/Restore > Advanced.
You should see the backup IPD information on the left hand pane, and the current device informatoin in the right hand pane.
If the left hand pane does not load, above that window, choose File > Open and navigate to that known IPD file. Load it.
Now, you can choose one by one or ALL items in the list to transfer to the new device. Highlight each database you want moved to the new device and click the middle right arrow to move that data.
Follow the ensuing prompts and you'll be good.

  • Lightroom desktop not syncing with mobile

    Hi,
I'm having a similar problem to others here, where Lightroom desktop is not syncing with mobile. My iPhone and iPad are syncing with each other OK - photos I take on the phone are showing up on the iPad, and a collection I created on the iPad has synced to the phone. If I go to my desktop PC and go Help > View Your Synced Collections on the Web I can see both collections. But neither collection is downloading to my PC, and the collections I've marked for sync on my PC are not uploading to my devices or the web.
I had previously (a couple of months ago) synced a collection from the desktop to the iPad but changes to it had stopped syncing. I've tried deleting all the data through the desktop preferences (which did remove the existing collections), and I've tried deleting the sync.lrdata folder.
    Cheers
    Lee

Thanks for the tip, but it didn't work.
I moved a few images in the collections that were synced = nothing has changed.
I've deleted the new collection that I was still trying to sync (with still the "Syincing 30 photos over the identity plate... it seems to be stuck to 30!). Remember, that new collection was not showing in Lr Mobile, even though 89 photos were supposed to be sync...
    I've deleted - again - the sync.lrdata file = didn't work.
I "Clear Cache" in the Lr Mobile = didn't work
I deleted the Lr Mobile app on my iPad = didn't work either. I had guessed so since it was still the same in Adobe Lightroom.
I've stopped in Lr Desktop all the sync in collections that were synced. So, in theory, there is no more images being synced. I've even deleted (again!) the sync.lrdata file. Deleted (again) the Lr Mobile app. And guess what?... Nah... it didn't work!
I do see in the Lr Desktop, in the left panel in the Library Module : "All synced Photographs : 0". But I still see 3 collections with all the photos (even the deleted ones from previous days) in the Lr Mobile.
It seems that the photos are "stuck" that way in Abode cloud and cannot be changed one way or the other. Cannot delete images nor collection. Cannot add new collections. Cannot move images.
Now, I am short of ideas what to do next. Delete my Adobe account? :-)))

  • Desktop ical does not sync with mobile me or iphone

entries in mobile me calendar sync with desktop and iphone wirelessly
entries in iphone calendar sync with desktop and mobile me as long as I select entourage in the iphone
but ical entries on desktop do not sync with iphone or mobile me

Finally figured it out. Assuming you have the latest software and trouble syncing iphone ical, desktop ical and mobile me ical:
1.Inputing an entry in either one of the tree does not automatically insure syncing across. You have to remember to tell the device how to share the info:
-Mobile me entry (you are inputing data in your mobile me account when you are away from your desktop and phone, like using someone else's computer). After you make an ical entry make sure you check "entourage" and the entry will be synced across devices.
Desktop computer entry. After you enter the data make sure you check the entourage option on the me.com
-iphone: after you input the data check the entourage on the mobile me. Also uncheck all the .cal.com
    2. This takes care of all the sync problems for ical and I suspect contacts. Don't go to draconian measures like re-installs and all the stuff I read here without first trying this.
    3. Finally, familiarize yourself with the dashboard of iTune when you plug in your phone. There are a few tabs in there like "summary" and "info" that allow you to control data.
In conclusion, I really wish Apple would have covered this on this site or on various manuals. I feel mobile me is not held to the same high standards that Apple requires and I've been an Apple fanatic and advocate since 1983.

Probably because you did not tell the iPod to sync the calendar in iTunes.

    Post relates to: Centro (Sprint)

I have a Centro/Verizon Wireless using Versamail with accounts established for personal POP and Exchange e-mail synchronization.  The latter account is for work.  Previously I owned a Treo 650p using Versamail.
When I first installed Palm OS Desktop and synched to my Centro device, it was on a Windows XP home computer, and no Versamail accounts were defined.  First I downloaded and installed the Versamail version which allowed Exchange synchronization.  I exported the Treo650p contacts list to a disk file, and imported it onto the Windows XP home computer into the Palm OS Desktop installed with the Centro-supplied CD.  This synched the imported contacts list to the Centro fine.  After I defined all the POP and Exchange accounts, synchronization with the office Exchange contacts list worked fine, and still does.  Synchronization with the windows XP home computer for contacts seems to still be ok, too regardless of the MS Exchange Versamail account commingling with my personal POP accounts.  Maybe the install sequence is overriding the previous posts' notation that MS Exchange mail definition will override synch with Palm OS Desktop?
The problem now is I have a different/second home computer that's Vista os.  I installed the Palm OS Desktop and synch with the Treo.  The contacts list is not synching to this second home computer, maybe because I didn't follow the exact same sequence as for the Windows XP pc?  I can still synch my Centro with my Windows XP pc and that includes contacts.
Is there a way on this second pc to override the MS Exchange contacts override for synchronization without having to go through the exact same install sequence as occurred on the Windows XP machine?

I have a Blackberry 8330 and a MacBook. For some reason I started having connectivity issues. The handheld will not sync with the computer via pocketmac. I have uninstalled, etc 15 times. Please help

    Hi Peter!
I'm sorry to read that you are having issues with your Sync account.
Your best bet is to follow the steps described in this blogposts and open a bug:
    https://philikon.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/how-to-file-a-good-sync-bug/
After that, if you don't want to user Sync in your computer, you can stop it with this simple steps:
    * At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.
    * Once the options window opens, click on the Sync tab.
    * At the bottom of the Sync tab click on '''Deactivate this Device''' link

The problem is that the POP3 client is not issuing a DELE command to remove the email from the server.
