Desktop ical does not sync with mobile me or iphone

entries in mobile me calendar sync with desktop and iphone wirelessly
entries in iphone calendar sync with desktop and mobile me as long as I select entourage in the iphone
but ical entries on desktop do not sync with iphone or mobile me

Finally figured it out. Assuming you have the latest software and trouble syncing iphone ical, desktop ical and mobile me ical:
1.Inputing an entry in either one of the tree does not automatically insure syncing across. You have to remember to tell the device how to share the info:
-Mobile me entry (you are inputing data in your mobile me account when you are away from your desktop and phone, like using someone else's computer). After you make an ical entry make sure you check "entourage" and the entry will be synced across devices.
Desktop computer entry. After you enter the data make sure you check the entourage option on the me.com
-iphone: after you input the data check the entourage on the mobile me. Also uncheck all the .cal.com
2. This takes care of all the sync problems for ical and I suspect contacts. Don't go to draconian measures like re-installs and all the stuff I read here without first trying this.
3. Finally, familiarize yourself with the dashboard of iTune when you plug in your phone. There are a few tabs in there like "summary" and "info" that allow you to control data.
In conclusion, I really wish Apple would have covered this on this site or on various manuals. I feel mobile me is not held to the same high standards that Apple requires and I've been an Apple fanatic and advocate since 1983.

  • Entries on desktop iCal do not sync with mobile devices.

I am running OSX 10.7.3 on my 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 iMac. iPhone running 5.1.1
Starting recently, entries I make on my desktop iCal do not sync thru the Cloud to the browser iCloud Calendar or my iPhone Calendar or my IPad Calendar.
My email, my Contacts sync just fine.
An iCal entry on my iPhone will sync with all mobile devices and the Cloud browser but do not sync to the iMac. In fact, all transactions from any mobile device and browser based Cloud all sync just fine between devices and iMac.  All but the iCal transactions.  They do not sync to the iMac or from the iMac
    Suggestions, please!

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

  • My ical does not sync with my ipad and iphone

My Ical will not sync with my phone or ipad. My address book does sync. The settings appear to be the same for both. I am running Lion on an imac and have ios5 on both the phone and the ipad.

On both the iPhone and the iPad, make sure Calendars is selected in Settings > iCloud
And check System Preferences > iCloud. Make sure Calendars is switched on there.
If everything was already setup correctly, try resetting the iOS devices.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    And restart your iMac.

  • My iCal does not sync with my iphone . help.  it worked fine in mobleme

My iCal does not sync between my iMac and iPhone consistantly.  It worked fine with mobleme.   Any solutions?

Make sure that your Mac is subscribed to iCloud and is logged on to the calendar, there is no 'sync' in iCloud, whatever MM did is irrelevant.

  • Just converted from MobileMe to iCloud. But now my iCal does not sync with either my iPhone or iCloud.  What have I missed?

Just converted from MobileMe to iCloud.  But now my iCal does not sync to my iPhone or iCloud.  What did I do wrong?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Is calendar syncing enabled on both the computer and the phone.
Are your calendars in your iCloud group and not in a on my mac group.
only calendars in the iCloud group will sync.

  • ICal does not sync with iPhone via iTunes

I have installed Mountain Lion on my Macbook Air couple of days ago and the calendar stopped syncing with my iphone. I sync through iTunes as I do not wish to use iCloud. Sync is set to all calendars and all events (no restriction), but nothing goes through. Tried adding events through my iPhone or through the Macbook, no difference, they do not get across to the other device. I have checked all settings, they seem to be carried forward from Lion unchanged. Any ideas or is it a Mountain Lion fault. Please do not tell me that the only way to sync will be through iCloud!

Thank you for the well-meant advice
Sorry - none of it works
To say I am frustrated is a joke!!!!
For starters my system does not follow the logic of Z001 - the file sequence is fifferent on my PB. The only cache file I could locate was 'Calendar Cache' and deleting it made no difference
IAs a precaution I did first export my Calendar to the desktop; then I exited the Cloud; tried to do a manual sync between iPhone and PB. But watching the iTunes indicator bar reveals that the cal syn is simply not happening
    So there is a bug.
Heck, my rave has always been how flawlessly the iPhone and MB speak to each other, Mountain Lion has wrecked that.
At present the only workable solution is to dump Mountain Lion and go back to Lion.

  • ICal does not sync with iCloud

Is there some sort preference .plist or something like that that can be used to reset the iCal sync process?
For the last month or two I`ve had major problems getting my iCal on iMac to sync properly to iCloud. A couple of weeks ago I suddenly had a couple of days where everything was working like it was supposed to without me having changed anything, but the joy only lasted for a couple of days.
Right now iCal just reads "updating" (well, in Norwegian) in the header, and iCal events does not update to iCloud. And it´s been frozen like that for more than a week.
Neither does it recieve update from iCloud. That is, events that I change on my iPhone.
I have nothing but calendars that are on iCloud (none which are only on my iMac). Some of the calendars are also exported to other users.
    - I´ve checked that I´m logged in in the iCloud system pref´s.
    - I´ve gone thorugh every calendar and clicked on "update" to try to force a change. Without improvement.
    - Strange thing is that also my MacBook Pro gives me the exact same behaviour.
Both my iMac and MBP is OSX 10.7.5.
    Is this an iCloud bug?
    Anybody else seeing this?
    Any suggestions?

Check Settings>iCloud, be sure Calendars is set to On.  Also check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar, be sure you choose the calendar under your me.com address (not On My iPhone).

  • My iCal does not sync with my iPhone

I use to be able to get up to date info on both my iPhone and iCal at simultaneously, but now for some reason my iPhone does not get any changes I make in iCal. Help!

I had been reading this thread and many other iPhone and iCal sync problem threads to try to solve my issue. My issue was similar to the OP in that my calendar events on my iPhone were not being sync'd to iCal and also that events created in iCal were not being sync'd to the iPhone. Here's what I tried that didn't work
Backed up iCal, deleted all my calendars, created a fake placeholder calendar and then re-imported/restored my iCal data
    Reset "Sync History" using iSync
Some forum poster had said something about how their problem had resolved after they had deleted all (some?) of their subscribed calendars in the iCal sidebar. Well, I had only one subscription calendar and that was a "US Holiday" calendar that I subscribed to almost 2 years ago. Was it through iCalx? I don't recall where I got the URL, but it was something from the Web. In any event, I deleted the susbscribed calendar and tried re-syncing and everything was transferred (phone to calendar and calendar to phone). Also this is only my theory since I also changed one other setting in iTunes. It was the "Don't Sync Events That Are Older Than" setting in iTunes. I changed this setting from "120 days" (an arbitrary number I had created) to another poster's suggestion about making it "10 days." Anyway, I hope this helps someone! I'm so thankful everything's working again.

  • ICal on my MacBookpro does not Sync with my iPad an iPhone

I have installed OS Lion on my MacBookpro. But the MacBook does not syncronize via iCloud with my iPad or my IPhone. iPad and iPhone have also the latesed Software. ICloud is activated.

    iPad or my IPhone
On both devices tap Settings > iCloud
Make sure Calendars is switched on.

  • Since I downloaded lion my calendar does not sync with mobile me.  What do I do?

My calendar sync's from Mobile Me to my Iphone (3g) but not from my phone to Mobile Me or to my IMAC.   On my IMAC, I've gone to Mobile Me in the preferences and the sync options DO NOT include "calendar".   On my phone I have made sure that the Mobile Me calendars are checked (so that I see them on my Iphone.)  The default calendar on my IPhone is the phone's calendar.  Have I put in the right settings?

You don't sync the MM calendar anymore, you subscribe to it in iCal,
    iCal>Preferences>Accounts, enter the details here.
MM should be the default calendar on all clients.

  • HT1351 Macbook pro ical does not sync with iPhone

I enter calendar events in iPhone but they don't apperar in MacBook Pro calendar.
The reverse (enter in Macbook and they appear in iphone) works..

You may have the wrong default calendar set in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar.  Be sure you have selected your MacBook calendar as your default.

  • Lightroom desktop not syncing with mobile

    Hi,
I'm having a similar problem to others here, where Lightroom desktop is not syncing with mobile. My iPhone and iPad are syncing with each other OK - photos I take on the phone are showing up on the iPad, and a collection I created on the iPad has synced to the phone. If I go to my desktop PC and go Help > View Your Synced Collections on the Web I can see both collections. But neither collection is downloading to my PC, and the collections I've marked for sync on my PC are not uploading to my devices or the web.
I had previously (a couple of months ago) synced a collection from the desktop to the iPad but changes to it had stopped syncing. I've tried deleting all the data through the desktop preferences (which did remove the existing collections), and I've tried deleting the sync.lrdata folder.
    Cheers
    Lee

Thanks for the tip, but it didn't work.
I moved a few images in the collections that were synced = nothing has changed.
I've deleted the new collection that I was still trying to sync (with still the "Syincing 30 photos over the identity plate... it seems to be stuck to 30!). Remember, that new collection was not showing in Lr Mobile, even though 89 photos were supposed to be sync...
    I've deleted - again - the sync.lrdata file = didn't work.
I "Clear Cache" in the Lr Mobile = didn't work
I deleted the Lr Mobile app on my iPad = didn't work either. I had guessed so since it was still the same in Adobe Lightroom.
I've stopped in Lr Desktop all the sync in collections that were synced. So, in theory, there is no more images being synced. I've even deleted (again!) the sync.lrdata file. Deleted (again) the Lr Mobile app. And guess what?... Nah... it didn't work!
I do see in the Lr Desktop, in the left panel in the Library Module : "All synced Photographs : 0". But I still see 3 collections with all the photos (even the deleted ones from previous days) in the Lr Mobile.
It seems that the photos are "stuck" that way in Abode cloud and cannot be changed one way or the other. Cannot delete images nor collection. Cannot add new collections. Cannot move images.
Now, I am short of ideas what to do next. Delete my Adobe account? :-)))

  • Address Book on MacBook Pro does not sync with IPad or Iphone

I have a MacBook Pro with OS10.7.4.  When I add a new address it does not sync with my IPad or IPhone.  However, adding an address on the IPad or IPhone it will appear on the IMac Pro.  I have checked to make sure that the Address Book on my IMac is directed to ICloud.  I also tried to uncheck the Address Book on ICloud, recheck and restart the computer with no success.  What am I missing?

It just started to sync.  Forget the question.
