Desktop Manager 5.0.0.11 - Outlook PST file on network drive error

I have Desktop Manager version 5.0.0.11 (Jul 1 2009).  I also use Outlook 2007 and my PST is located on a mapped network drive.  When I try to set the sync settings, it responds with The path specified for the file H:\mailpst\Personal Folders(1).pst is not valid.  When I click OK, it prompts for the file location and will not display the valid, mapped "H" drive letter.  The previous version 4.something, had no issues with my PST file location.  Am I missing something?
Thanks,

Problem Solved!  Was installing other apps and on my 2nd reboot, it suddenly started working.  Hmm, no idea why.

  • Which conversion software can I download to mac to convert outlook .pst files to mac .mbox files?

Can anyone recommend software I can ddownload to an iMac to convert outlook .pst files stored on a memory stick to .mbox files for transfer to mac mail?  I have mail files I set up in outlook I need to transfer to my new mac, but have no internet connection on pc, so can't download anything on to it and have had to export .pst files to a usb stick.

Will I be able to get my (Mac sourced) songs and podcasts onto the IPOD from the sharing Windows computer?
No, iTunes library sharing only allows you to listen to music in the shared library.
Another question: is there any way to duplicate my actual song files to the Windows XP computer so that I don't have to turn on the Mac in order for itunes to function on the XP machine? All my song files are on the Mac.
Yes, use the network to copy the files from the Mac to the PC.

  • Iphone contacts "not available" to car phonebook after messing around with Outlook.pst file names and backups. Iphone4 connects to car though and other phones connect properly.

iphone contacts "not available" to car phonebook after messing around with Outlook.pst files, names and backups, on my ms XP 2003 laptop. I substituted a much smaller new Personal Folder -Contacts File, with a smaller list of phone numbers (4 only as a test) which successfully synced to the iPhone 4. The iPhone connects to the Skoda Octavia HandsFreeSystem OK (Bluetooth works fine), but now iPhone wont load the new Contacts as it did originally. However a family Nokia (never messed with) can connect properly. So must be the iPhone or more likely an Outlook.pst \ Contacts problem. Ideas?

After fiddling a little more, the following fixed my corrupted outlook.pst file:
    1) I made a backup
    2) In outlook under file, I exported the calendar to excel
    3) In outlook under file, I imported the calendar back to outlook
    And voila, it worked.

  • Icloud is set, is it possible to change outlook pst file?

I'm curious if I can alter my outlook pst file settings to the point to delete the default calender and replace that calander with the Icloud one?  Currently, when my outlook 2010 opens up to my outlook pst date file overview which gives me any tasks, emails and calendar activities so I konw what's all going on.  However, all my data was deleted from my outlook calendar when I imported it into my Icloud.  I like everything the way it is, however, I just need to replace that empty outlook calender with the Icloud calendar.

What you want to do is not possible.

I would be more inclined to blame Vista in general than the version of GW -
I've used the Advansys product with GW8 with no problems. GW8 has been
tested with Vista, but I have no idea if any of the conversion utilities
have. Can you just do it from another PC that isn't Vista?

    Time to upgrade to GW8!

A pst is a proprietary database file, so you will need something to convert it.

  • How can I convert an outlook pst file to mac mail without using a windows based computer

I recently bought the new iMac as my older Windows based computer crashed with a bad motherboard.  I have been trying to find a way to convert Outlook 2007 pst files to Mac Mail without the need to use a Windows based computer since all I have now is a Mac.  I have the copies of the pst files on my Mac, so I am looking for the most efficient way to convert them to the format that I can then open them in the Mac Mail.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - thanks for the instructions but where do you get the option for Quicktime. If I do File - Export I only get the options for File name, place and size but no option that allows to select quicktime:-(
Have you got any more tips?
