Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Also check on conflicting software...it has been reported that the software package NTI Shadow&Ninja can cause a conflict; removing them and reinstalling the BB desktop software allows it to install correctly.
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these. Also apologies if any are not presently available...RIM takes them up and down at will as they revise things.
Hopefully something there is helpful!

yahoo mail not going to my bold 9650
2 days in a row i was on the phone with verizon. my mail is intermitly being sent to my phone. anybody else having that problem?

    First try this solution:
Re-validate the integrated account. To do this, complete the following steps:
Log in to the BlackBerry Internet Service account.
Beside the invalid integrated email account, an icon of an envelope with a red line through it will be displayed. Click the icon.
If you are still having the issue then you would go thru steps of :
(Associating an email account using the BlackBerry smartphone)
The steps are located at this web address http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/dynamickc.do?externalId=KB02189&sliceId=SAL_Public&command=show&forward=nonthreadedKC&kcId=KB02189#smartphone

I am using the latest (V4.7) Desktop Manager but Roxio will not recognise the SD Media Card inserted in the phone.
I have tried (2) different Micro SD cards both with data on them.
The phone acknowledges both cards and I can access files through phone.
Have I overlooked an option in Roxio?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Please tell us what type of PC OS you are running on. (Windows 2000, XP, Vista)
See if you can access the media card without using desktop manager.
Attach the USB to the BB and the PC. Don't use desktop manager.
Go to "My Computer" on the PC and the BB will show as a flash drive.
Then you can "drag and drop" files to the BB.
Use the following settings in the memory option of the Bold:
    Media card support ON
    Encryption mode NONE
Media transfer protocol ON (Storm and Bold only)
    Mass storage support ON
Auto enable Mass storage support when connected ON
    Thanks,

  • PC WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THE bb bOLD 9900

i bought a new computer with Windows 8 OS. I downloaded the BB desktop manager to be able to sync the PC with the BB Bold 9900. It gives me an error 1723 with the following message. "DLL required could not be run. Action: Repair rim Usb Driver. NT.07D232B6_7904_4970_8B22_8FA..."
The Microsoft community suggested I unregister and re register Windows installer. I did that but still when I connect the phone to the PX via the USB it is not recognized.
I contacted HP support and after 30 minutes  of questions the guy suggested I contact BB support. I don't see a direct link to BB support only this link. Can anyone help?

OK. Thanks, but how do I repair the rim us drive?
Are you on Win8 or Win8.1, as the other poster who reported an identical issue? In either case, I don't find any useful KBs on the matter...you might have better luck searching:
    http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/microsite.do
But, if you are on Win8.1, then I'm starting to suspect a compatibility issue...AFAIK, the Desktop Software is compatible up to Win8, but perhaps not with Win8.1. Refer:
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop/desktop-pc/system-requirements.html
    Good luck!

  • Desktop Manager won recognize my BB 8130 PIN

Hello, i bought a BB off my friend and am going to switch it over to my own plan but when i connect my BB to Desktop Manager it wont Recognize the PIN or the BB. what can i do and were can i go to check if the PIN and any other code/ expires or if there still is warranty on it?

    Hello smokysmoke,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums
The first place to start is determining whether or not it is an issue with the device or the system you are connecting it to. You may want to test it on another system with Desktop Manager installed. If it fails to detect you may want to speak with you friend to find out what kind of coverage he had when he purchased the device.
    Cheers,

  • Desktop Manager not recognizing Storm

I have done a thorough search but have not found a solution.
When I connect my Storm, the computer recognizes it.  It shows up in the device manager.  I have checked the drivers - they are up to date.  Everything with the computer is working fine.
When I open DM  ( I am running v 5.0) - "Device Connected (PIN) - None" is displayed.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled both v 4.7 and 5.0 with no luck.   I have done a hard reboot of the Storm - no luck.
If anyone has any suggestions, your help is greatly appreciated.

  • Desktop Manager not detecting device. Not a local administrator

    Hi there,
After a complete re-install of the software, there's no way for my desktop manager to detect my USB connected BB. The thing is that i am starting the Win session as a standard user (i have just enroled a new Windows Domain). If I start with the domain admin account, It recognizes my BB perfectly well.

  • Desktop does not recognize 8310 after update to 6.0.1

The BlackBerry desktop software does not recognize my 8310 after updating to 6.0.1. I am running Vista 64bit, SP2. When I go into the device manager it shows a yellow triangle and says I need to update my driver. Do I need to go back to an earlier version of desktop?

    To manually install the driver:
On the computer, right-click My Computer and click Properties.
Click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
Expand the BlackBerry category and verify that BlackBerry Smartphone is listed.
If an exclamation mark is displayed, right-click the smartphone and click Update Driver.
If the Hardware Update Wizard prompts you to use Windows Update, select No not this time and click Next.
Select the Install from a list or specific location option and click Next.
Select the Don't search. I will choose the driver to install option and click Next.
Click Have Disk and then select Browse.
    For 32-bit Windows browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\USB Drivers. For 64-bit Windows browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\USB Drivers.
Double-click on RimUsbNT.inf, click OK, and then click Next.

  • Desktop Manager Not Working

My desktop manager (DM) version 4.2 on my PC Vista is not working right.  I can open it and connect to my Sprint
8703e, but that is very little that I can do with my DM such as opening help.  The backup and restore option along with other options are no longer available in my DM.  What happened to these options?
    Thanks

Thanks, John!  I updated my DM 4.2 to 4.3, but unfortunately when I did that, my OS 4.2.1.110 was automatically uninstalled so I had to install OS: 4.2.1.119.  Wow! there is a big difference between DM 4.2 and 4.3.  DM 4.3 showed updates so I clicked on that and found that there are other DM 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, and 4.7.  I assume that they are for other Blackberry devices.  John, can you explain what are the other versions for?  I am sure that others would like to know.  While I am happy with DM 4.3, but I am curious to what will happen if I download the later versions for my Sprint 8703e?
Yes, you answered my question in the other forum, but I am asking again in this forum to give you credit and users of this forum may not use the other forum.

  • Desktop Manager Not recognizing Outlook 4.6

Hi.  I recently purchased a Verizon Curve 8330 and installed the Desktop manager 4.6.  My laptop uses Windows XP and Office 2000.  I can't get the manager to recognize outlook.  Fixes I've tried so far:
    Uninstalling 4.6 and installing 4.5--then 4.3--then 4.2 sp2--then 4.2 sp1 (threatened to destabilize windows, so I aborted the install).
(each new install was preceded by an uninstall of prior version)
With 4.3 and above, my 8330 was recognized, but no Outlook.
    With 4.2 sp2 it wouldn't recognize my 8330.
I managed a work-around to get my outlook calendar/contacts from my palm by changing conduits to my Palm Desktop and then syncing with 4.3.
I've reviewed the thread on Desktop Mgr 4.5 not recognizing Outlook 2000, and if I'm missing something please tell me.
Any thoughts on how to get Outlook 2000 to sync with my 8330?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
DM 4.6 will service Outlook 2000,
Use this procedure to   erase the prior install and clean the registry:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11320&sliceId=SAL_Pub...
Reload 4.6 and  go through al the setup options.
Let me know if it doesn't recognize Outlook 2000.
