Desktop mgr for android phone sync

I lost my Storm and temporarily have to use an LG Exhibit (android) phone. How can I sync my contacts from my Blackberry Desktop mgr to a non Blackberry phone?

  • BB Desktop Mgr Error Msg While Syncing

    Hello all,
    I have a BB Storm 9530 (all updated) and an using BB Desktop Mgr for Mac (iMac all updated).  I am Syncing via USB with the standard Mac programs (Address Book, ICal, Media, etc.)  
    When Syncing, an error box appears when the sync icon is spinning/hanging by the Contacts.  The BB Desktop software icon in the Dock jumps up.  The error box (useless for troubleshooting) says "A Sync error occurred. Please retry the sync.) When I click "ok" the sync continues & finishes.
    ANALYZING THE "LOG" FILE, I SUSPECT THE FOLLOWING:
    2009-10-16 08:43:25.795 ERROR*** default     pimSync   Exception during sync: Unable to fault in data reference Data with length 13558
    2009-10-16 08:43:25.795 ERROR*** default     pimSync   An exception of type ISyncDataReferenceException occured because: Unable to fault in data reference Data with length 13558
    Additionally, in the BB Desktop Mgr software screen, there is an asterisk/triangle on Calendar (only) that says "One or more of the selected calendars are read-only and can only be sync'd from you computer to your device".  I suspect this is the "birthday" object (read only) which is unchecked.  How do you deal with this?  Why is it an error/warning?
    I am disappointed to find that BB/Apple do not support this new software product with a telephone/chat/email submission. Hopefully, you all can help!

    Thank you for your reply.  The sync process "completed" (went past contacts and through the media) but an error msg appeared that said that there was an error and that I should re-sync.  I do not know if each/every item was successfully merged.  I wish there was a way to know what the error was and what did not sync. I was hoping someone would have an understanding of the two log lines I posted.  Thanks!

    Hi guys,
    The Adobe Content Viewer from Google Play (May 1, 2013) is both compatible and works fine on my Nexus 4 phone. We understand that adding the Android phone compatibility might cause poor app rating as the buttons/controls will be hard to tap on the smaller screens. But publisher could add these limitations to the app description. So my question is if support for Android phones could be added to the custom viewer as an optional feature checkbox, please.

    You won't see support for Android phones until we have our new, native Android, viewer available later this year.

    I encountered the same issue. You (in theory) would simply update the APK file. Find the AndroidManifest.xml
    right around line 42
    <supports-screens android:smallScreens="false" android:normalScreens="false" android:largeScreens="true" android:xlargeScreens="true" />
    change to
    <supports-screens android:smallScreens="true" android:normalScreens="true" android:largeScreens="true" android:xlargeScreens="true" />
    recompile, package, deploy.
    NOTE: I have not been able to get this to actually work LIVE in the play store where I have had some success with actually putting it on my device. I can get the app store to say that it is compatabile on small/medium/large/xlarge screens, teasing me with joy prior to the error I get when I attempt to install that the item is "not properly signed". This could be something with the META_INF xml file, the version of JDK and apktools or jarsign I am using, I certainly dont know... yet, but after about 10+ hours I am fairly certain of one thing: Adobe does not want it working on small/medium screens.
    (perhaps for good reason...)
    If I do come up with a solution I will post. As perhaps a feature request, would be great to have the following in the App builder:
    1- Advanced tab
    A: allows us to manually enter the
    android:versionCode="00000"
    android:versionName="0.0.0.0.0"
    B: allows us to change
      <supports-screens android:smallScreens="true" android:normalScreens="true" android:largeScreens="true" android:xlargeScreens="true" />
    values.

    Yes, the Remote Desktop client supports RDP 7.1 and all previous versions including: RDP 7, RDP 6.1, RDP 6, RDP 5 and RDP 4.
    Note: Support for a specific version of RDP 7 does not include all virtual channels. RemoteFX codecs are not supported in RDP 7.1.

  • USB connection for Android phone "disk was not ejected Properly"

    My Macbook Pro OS 10.6 has begun to display "disk was not ejected properly" when I connect my Motorola Photon android phone with USB cable to sync (drop and drag).  Now I might be able to connect.  Or lately I have the phone icon flash on the laptop screen like it is connecting only to get the error message "the disk was not ejected properly".  Sometimes I am in the middle of drop and drag and it happens.  Can anyone help?

    I would make sure to keep the phone from sleeping and keep it awake for one.
    It may be that the iTunes services get in the way too.
    I use Samsung Note (tablet and phone) but Windows 8 (better support than 7) on Mac Pro. Which is what this forum is, not notebook but that doesn't seem to matter (half a dozen or more a day think it is)

    Also mine work better on USB3, though you may not have that if you are running 10.6, in fact you may not have the latest iTunes either (10.7.1 I think currently) which may also want to look at - may require Lioin 10.7.5.

    Please help. Just bought PS Touch app for an android phone and I cant get the refine edge tool to work. I draw around the object I wany to keep then draw around the around the inner edge and press remove then go to refine edhe tool but it doesnt seem to work. The only reason I bought the app is because I want to select images and remove the background so thta I can 'paste' them onto another photo etc...Please help as Im getting frustrated. Is it a bug?

    Are you trying to say that you use Scribble Select for the selection?
    When you press Remove - have you painted the part that you do not want to be included?
    If not you do not have a selection and will not be able to use Refine Edge.

    I am attempting to transfer my music from my itunes to my micro sd card that is in my android phone. I am unsure of how to do this and have looked through most of the program files for the actual mp3/4 files. Does anyone know how to transfer your music from itunes to a micro SD card?

    Here are the steps on how to put music on your android without having to download anything.
    1. Plug in your phone into your computer
    2. Go to the folder with all of your phones files
    3. Click on the one that says "Media" and create a new folder in it named "Audio"
    4. After that all you need to do is go to your iTunes music folder and drag and drop your music in to your phone folder
    5. When you're done adding music go back to your phone folder and move all of the music into the audio file you created earlier.

    So i just did the same and yes, the sync error goes away, but i think another problem is occuring. 
    I use Entourage for my contacts and have a Blackberry to sync it to.  Since contacts will only sync with ADDRESS i need to first sync ENTOURAGE with ADDRESS then it moves on to my BB.  Since doing this exercise (above), it seems that ENTOURAGE is not syncing to ADDRESS...does this make any sense?

    Desktop manager just started to give me a sync error yesterday when syncing the calendar. I receive no error message for the contacts. I use desktop manager for mac. I have never had this issue before. I updated desktop manager yesterday after the sync error but, that did not correct the problem.
    Any suggestions?

    What error message are you receiving?  Are you only synchronizing to Ical or Entourage?
    Also have you attempted to forget the device and the re-setup the synchronization?  
    To forget the device, go into Device>Forget Device.  Unplug the BlackBerry, plug it back into the Mac.
