Desktop Not Updating - Used, Available

I have a problem. Why isn't my Desktop updating itself? I have a USB Flash drive connected to my iMac, which I've just deleted all the files off, and emptied the Trash. Yet the Desktop still says there's only 772MB free space on the Flash drive. Why is this?
If I go to the Dashboard and check my iStat pro widget, the widget gets it right. The widget knows that the Flash drive is empty, but Apple's official Desktop doesn't. Makes no sense to me.

iphoto 9.5 won't import photos from iPhoto 7.5. Library will not update using the iPhoto library upgrader application. Repeatedly says it can't locate photos even when told to cancel. I think the photos in question are in Nikon RAW format.

iPhoto 9.5 immediately tries to "upgrade" my library using the upgrader.
iPhoto 9.5 asks you to run the upgrader to prepare the library for 9.5. It then will update the library to its format.
You need to do the following:
1 - go to your Applications/Utilities folder and double click on the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 application.
2 - select Choose Library, navigate to your iPhoto library, select it and let the upgrader do its thing.
3 - launch iPhoto 9.5 to open and finish the conversion of the library.

Items on desktop not updating

The items on my desktop are not updating. For example, if i save a word file to the desktop, it will not appear on the desktop unless i restart. I can see it through the finder though. Any suggestions?

Try trashing the Desktop preference file and then log out/in.
The file is here:
/Users/you/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Desktop.plist
If that doesn't work, try downloading OnyX and use it to clear out your user cache files.

BLOB column not updating using automated row processing

I have fiddled around with creating a simple application to understand how APEX handles images stored in blobs - did a simple app that stores them, gets them, displays them. it all works great.
so i have this existing table/application that i am trying to add a BLOB column to here's what i did:
it's a pretty simple form on a table with report application. just one table.
I added the BLOB to the table (and the other mimetype etc cols as well).
i added the page items to the form page.
i basically made everything identical in terms of page item settings and such to the working simple application.
so here's the problem... when i run the application and update a row, the BLOB column isn't updating. neither are the mimetype or filename columns. the activity date col is.
and here's another interesting thing. i quickly created another form and report pair on the same table, and when i ran it, it updates the blob col just fine.
why is my original form not updating it? what can i do to remedy this? any ideas? i've gone though setting by setting for the blob page item and the one that works is identical to the one that doesn't.
i'm using the automatic row processing to update the table.

Gary,
The DML processes (and the creation wizards for them) are for use with items having source type Database Column. If your page items don't use this source type, then neither the Automated Row Fetch nor the Automatic Row Processesing (DML) process types will work.

Document Flow not updated using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE

Hi Experts,
I am using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for doing PGR of an inbound delivery.
Material Document(mblnr) is getting populated but Document Flow of that inbound delivery is not getting updated.Its status is Open.
Can anyone knows how Document Flow can be updated using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE??

Goto transaction SPRO, Go to Logistics Execution - Shipping - Basic shipping Functions - Configure Clobal Shipping Data, In this put a tick on Document Flow Update.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.10 not updating - using MAC OS X, v 10.9.5. Help!

Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.10 not updating. Trying to update to version 10.1.13. on MAC OS X, v 10.9.5. All my Adobe CS5.5 Design Premium products update fine.
First tried automatic updates and go this: Update error: An error occurred. Please check for updates again later. Error: 1514.
Then went to Adobe.com to download update.
Downloaded the 10.1.13 update, started installation but in final stage of installation got this message "The Installation Failed (encountered an error) Contact software manufacturer for assistance.”

We would need the Acrobat installation logs in order to analyze this error. Please follow the below procedure to extract the log :
- During the installation press Command + L.
- Installer Log window appears. Now On the top left corner of this window, by default 'Show Errors Only' is selected in drop-down list.
- Change it to 'Show All Logs'. Now when the installer hangs, copy log from here and send it to us.

Using Aperture Album to feed Computer Desktop - not updating

I have an Aperture album I like to toss pictures into that I call Aperture Desktops. Then in system prefs I select that album and use as my MacBook Pro's desktop picture, with random on. It gives me a nice way to see favorite photos.
The problem is this does not seem to update... I add photos and they do not show up - sometimes they show up weeks later. I have tried pointing to a different album, then back but that does not work either. It seems like it should just work but there seems to be something delaying updates showing up. Ideas?

I can't believe no one else has seen this - driving me crazy!

XFCE Desktop not updating when using conky.

Hello.
I wonder if anyone have this, rather small but for me annoying problem.
I use xfce. I've also put conky up on my desktop. When I login The icons for my trash, home for example is 'distorted' and only way I can remove it is by move the icon around over its misplaced area.
Can it be that conky interfering with the desktop? Conky is added to 'Autostarted applications' in xfce.
Check the screenie below, I've moved other icons but Trash is still looking bad.
EDIT: I also have the problem that when I've adjusted conky, do 'killall conky;conky' to restart it the old view still shows on the desktop.

VBFA not updated using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE

I'm using the function BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to do a goods receipt for the outbound delivery as the replacement for MIGO (movement 101). The movement is created in the table MSEG but it doesn't update VBFA.
There is someone another function to do this?

Outbound delivery is a goods issue, not goods receipt. Why do you need to do a receipt and how could you even do that?.. Are you sure it is not an inbound delivery?

Grub not updating using grub-mkconfig

I have created an entry in /etc/grub.d/40_custom. I then ran grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg. The entries are there, but when I boot, they don't show up in the menu. Am I missing a step for adding a menuentry to grub?

I have read the wiki. My answer was in response to your question about UEFI-GPT. I believe that I am setup using UEFI-GPT. Shipment is not updating using SHPMNT IDoc

Hello All,
I am updating a Shipment with only one delivery using IDoc SHPMNT05, however this Shipment has two deliveries earlier, As a result IDoc failed with as error message : This action no longer possible: Transport XXXXXXXXX has already been scheduled. This error is because this shipment status is set to planned.
But I want to update the shipment with only one delivery even though it is scheduled. ideally when this IDoc is posted one delivery should be unassigned from the shipment. how can I achieve that, please help me.

If Shipment is already scheduled, standard SAP does not allow to add , move or delete the deliveries from it, it gives error like "This action no longer possible: Transport XXXXXXXXX has already been scheduled" , This error comes from Function module SD_SHIPMENT_FCODE_CONTROL,To overcome this there is an implicit enhancement required in form statement shipment_fcode_allowed in include program LV56EF01. within this I clear the shipment planning status i_xvttk-stdis.
Note: Please make sure that this enhancement does not impact any other developments, so make use of export and import statements.

Nokia N95 not updating using the Nokia Software Up...

Hi guys
just got my n95 today, it has v10 fw on it and i would like to update it to v12.
ive downloaded and installed latest pc suite and downloaded the latest nokia update software
i run the updater and it says found new software (v12), please tick the box to acknowledge etc etc
so i click on ok, and it says updating....
then 2 mins later i get this screen:

Which says "phone recovery - please remove battery and restart the phone"
so i got to take battery out and retry, but i get the same error. not too sure what to do now? the fw it downloaded was 113mb.
i have tried it on vista pc/laptop and a xp pro pc and still get the same error.
ive tried using different usb ports, connected the usb directly to pc (without any hubs etc) and still get the same error.
it looks like this n95 doesn't want to be updated. The n95 still works though, i just want to update its software
anyone had any thing similar? is there anything else i could try?

Handsets that allow for updating, have a small piece of software within them often called the boot loader, that allows the new upgraded software to be flashed into the device.
If the Boot Loader is damaged, then the upgrade of the device software from the Nokia Software updater cannot be performed.
A Nokia care point is able to rectify this because they can use the service connector on the handset to reflash the software with their equipment.
This will be done for free if your handset is in warranty.

Net Price not Updating Using BAPI : BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATE

Dear Experts,
I am facing an issue while creating CONTRACT using the bapi: BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATE. I am creating the Contract based on data from my excel sheet. And we are maintaining the INFO RECORDS for the same materials.
In the excel sheet we are providing the NetPrice (NETPR) and creating the Contract. My issue is " instead of taking the Net Price from the excel it is taking the Net Price from Info Records". For Example, if for a Particular material the Net Price in our excel file is 125, after bapi execution, the net price is updating as 100 instead of 125 in Contract Creation( ME31k-ME33K). In the Info Records we are maintaining this net price(100) for that material.

Custom Field is not updating using MM17 ( Mass Material Maintenance )

      I have created 1 custom field in MRP1 view of MM01 tranction & that field saved into MARC table. It is working fine & I am able to change also that field using tranction code MM02. But Problem is that I want to change that custom field of material master using tranction code MM17 , which is for mass Material Maintenance. Follow the below procedure,
1. In table MARC custom fields need to be add using append structure. For that need to create data elements & domain for      corrosponding fields.
2.In SE51 need to copy standard program SAPLMGD1 & screen 2481( In your case screen would be different ) in to Z program.
3.Now in to the layout of Z program need to add custom fieldu2019s which we defined using append structure in MARC table.
4.Need to add Field statment for the new custom fieldu2019s into the PAI Flow logic of Z program inside CHAIN...ENDCHAIN statement.
5.Need to run transaction OMT3B and then copy screen sequence no. 21 into our Z screen sequence say Z1.
6.Once screen sequence is copied into screen sequence Z1. select sequence Z1 and double click on data screen folder.Select screen sequence with description MRP1 and after selecting it double click on Folder 'Subscreen ' and change the program given for screen no 2481 with our Z program name and Save.
