Desktop pictures: is there a limit to number of pictures

Hi there
I have a folder full of pictures (ie 6 thousand) that rotate through the desktop.
Is there a limit to how many pictures I can have in the source folder and still have the display & computer functioning all right?
Also, does changing the pic every 5 seconds have a negative impact on the Mac?

That is not the best idea in the world to be using a folder with that many images.
It requires a lot of memory usage to change the desktop pictures every 5 seconds, especially when it has to cycle through thousands of images.

Message no. 01262 refers to the entered values in an authorization, not to the objects listed in the profile!
So this message tells you, that you have to split the authorization, as the authorization contains too many values. It is not a quesiton of that you have entered too many different objects to the profile!

Is there a limit on number of SANs in Lync certificate

Hi,
We are in the process of deploying Lync 2013 for a very large client. They have multiple companies and multiple sister companies. We are planning to use a single cert for the whole deployment. Net / Net 120 - 130 domains.
My question is, is there any limit on number of domains in SAN of the certifiate. Has anyone used SSL.com for UC certificate.

DigiCert: 25 domain names
GeoTrust: 25 domain names
Thawte: 25 domain names
Symantec: 25 domain names
GlobalSign: 100 domain names
GoDaddy: 100 domain names
Entrust: 100+ domain names
Comodo: 210 domain names
SSL.com: 2000 domain names

Is there any limit on Number of items that can be created in SAP Business One 2005B.
We are working for button manufacturer.
Each button will have type,color, size, thickness.
There are about 100 types, 40 colors, 30 sizes, 10 thickness, 500 models.
It looks to be approximately above 30lacs item codes has to be created.
Is there any performance issues or any other known issues towards the large item lists.

There is no real limit on the number of items you can create (well, the item code is a 20 character key so theoretically the limit is the total number of possible combinations of letters and characters in that key).
Performance can be an issue with a large inventory, as well as database size (particularly if you have a large inventory and a large number of warehouses). Some issues such as the speed of lookups can be avoided by changing system settings but other issues such as the speed of inventory reports are inevitable going to take longer for larger inventories.
Have you done any research on looking for SBO addons for the clothing industry? It might be worth searching the CPSN for such addons (ie ones that can deal with sizes, colours etc) as these may help greatly in keeping the number of stock items down to a minimum.

My issue is
I am currently doing selenium webdriver automation in linux for a device. There are 50 devices of same kind and framework will pickup a device depending on availability. I need to by pass unsigned ssl pages. I am using firefox 14.
I have implemented following but it is not consistent.
everytime a device is chosen
adds cer of device to the cert file in firefox profile
but I am getting sec_error_bad_signature very frequently.
So I started recreating cert [delete and create if by opening firefox] file for every run.
Now this is posing a problem if multiple devices are run at the same time. Hence I want to create separate firefox profile

Not that I have ever found. And at one time I had over 60 Profiles, but after I hit 20 Profiles listed in the profiles.ini file the launch time for Firefox became noticeably longer on WinXP. With remote Profiles, not listed in the profiles.ini file and launched strictly from command line there was no impact on launch time.
How or if that relates to Mac OSX is beyond my knowledge, never owned used a Mac.

You will need to check with your ISP; they may have limitations - mine does in order to cut down on spamming.
Once you find out if/what that limit is, you can simply type and email once, copy the content, enter the addresses, and send out 5 - 10 - or whatever number of emails successively until you've sent it to all 250 people.
I would create a group or at least have all the names/addresses in the Addressbook; that way, you can start typing the first name and Mail will automatically add the email address for that name. And yes, it is good to use BCC for that - send it to yourself and BCC everyone else.

With my perceived LR 3.4 limit (and I could be wrong about the limit) and the fact I only had a few hours to deliver I used a freebie software package XnView which worked out just fine in creating a web view. Never got around to testing with LR

Yup... you can have up to 99 tracks, including stories and slideshows in that number.
However, there is really no reason to have one clip per track... you could put several (or all 80) into a single track if needs be.

Is there a limit on number of Purchased TV episodes?

I'm trying out the feature recently added to AppleTV in which it will let me watch TV episodes from the 'cloud' (i.e. episodes of various shows that I have previously bought). Is there a limit on how many episodes of a given series it will show?
The reason I ask is that one of the shows that I have bought is 'Disorderly Conduct: Video on Patrol'. I have both seasons, each of which has 26 episodes. Using the 'Purchased' function allows me to see all 26 episodes of the first season, but only 1 episode of the second season. Why does it do this? I bought all episodes of BOTH seasons (in each case I used a 'season pass').

Addendum:
When I bought season 1 of Disorderly Conduct, I bought it as a 'Buy All Episodes' link within the iTunes Store - the season was already over, so there was no Season Pass as such. I bought Season 2 as a pass, though.
There was one Season 2 episode that I had to buy again, though. The first version that appeared on the Store was incomplete, so I had to buy it again, as a one-off purchase. And it is THIS episode that is the only Season 2 episode which appears in the list of Purchased episodes in the AppleTV.
Why would this be a problem? And what can I do about it?
I would like to be able to delete all S2 episodes from my iPad and computer - I don't usually watch TV episodes from anywhere other than the AppleTV - to save space. But I can't do that until I fix this problem.

Is there a limit to number of SNASW links?

We have an IBM 3745 with T/R which we disconected and attached a router with SNASW instead. Same macaddress as the 3745. It went fine first but when a lot of people started to logon they hit the wall and the SNASW stopped to respond to new connections. We do not use Virtual T/R, just a plain physicall interface with a SNASW port statement connecting the thing. Is there a limit somewhere?

Hi Bjorn,
You can issue show snasw link and specify the port name to see just the links using that port (don't be fooled by the Total links count ... that is the total for all links on all ports).
Bob has told you how to spot the situation where you are hitting the max-links limit.
However, based on your previous updates I suspect you have a different problem. Are you still seeing 08060000 in the pdlog? If so, that means there is a problem with the switched major node as Tran pointed out.
You mentioned earlier that the customer is getting frustrated. If that is so then I suggest you open a TAC case and collect the traces that have been recommended. With the correct documentation in hand this should be a very quick resolution.

Is there a limit to number of photos?

I am working on a page of bird photos. After adding 9 images the next ones are all below the blue line. I can not make it bigger (the area defined by the blue box). Also, the individual images above the blue line when clicked on have a blue box around them. The images below only show the box with handles formed by the gray lines with the squares. No room for text etc. Is there a limit to how many photos fit on a page? I have like hundreds.

If you post the URL we can take a look at it and maybe come up with a solution for you. In the meantime, create another photo page in iWeb and drag the photos you want into the blue box area of the canvas.

Is there a limit to number of fonts Font Book will manage?

i'm using an old font manager that's causing issues. would love to just use apple's font book. however, i have hundreds (if not thousands) of fonts. is there a limit to what font book will handle?

i'll give that a look. however, it would be nice to just use Font Book. It handles auto activation pretty smoothly and it's very lightweight. i'm all about avoiding anything extra if it's at all possible
