Desktop Redirector Stuck in "Verifying forwarding address"

We have a number of BlackBerrys using the Redirector and Desktop 4.7, and with our first Tour using the Redirector and Desktop 5.0 software, the Redirector stays in a non-operational "Verifying forwarding address" mode.  This has not happened with the Curves and one Bold which installed fine and are operating using the Redirector without problems. 
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Problem solved.  A weak 1x signal and no wi-fi capability made forwarding address verification impossible.  We placed the 9630 inside a car a block away - where the 1x signal was 4 bars - and the Redirector verified the forwarding address.  I sure hope Telus is able to upgrade their network here -- slow, weak, and full of dead spots!

  • Verifying forwarding address after Outlook upgrade

    Working with a client using Blackberry Desktop software version 4.3 with the desktop redirector.  He upgrade Outlook from 2003 to 2007.  He has an Exchange account and a couple pop3 accounts setup and I believe his default account got set incorrectly at one point.  There are messages pending in the desktop redirector that quite possibly have the wrong email address associated with them.  I haev removed and reinstalled several times, including removing registry settings and folders manually.
    I have created a new Outlook profile to verify there is no issue with PST / OST files being corrupt.  I cann't get the pending messages to purge or the "Verifying forwarding address" status to go away. 
    Any further suggestions?  None of the options I have found online or in these forums seem to apply or be an option to me.  Where are these pending messages stored?  Is there a file I can wack somewhere?

    You may have issues with Outlook and might want to remove and reinstall it (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768). 
    Before going down that road:

    Quit all open applications
    Follow all the steps in this Microsoft article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2452489
    If syncing is still not working:
    Quit all open applications
    Follow http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627
    If syncing is still not working:
    SafeBoot the computer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455
    While in SafeBoot remove the following to the trash:
    Macintosh HD > Library > Caches (All the contents of the folder not the folder itself)
    Home > Library > Application Support > Sync Services (The entire folder)NOTE: To get to "Home > Library" in Lion: Click anywhere on the desktop and then click on the "Go" menu at the top of the computer screen while holding down the "option" key on the keyboard.  You will see "Library" in the menu.
    Restart the computer and test.

  • Problem with Desktop redirector forwarding messages

    In my office 5 of us use the desktop redirector , and it stopped working last Saturday so I fairly sure the problem is with our SPAM filtering or exchange etc the problem is everyone I talk to seems clueless,
    In out look I see all the BB messages now have the subject as Spam: Spam: RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2 , from [email protected] , and I can still send messages from blackberry, so any suggestions as to how I track down what is responsible for identifying these messages as spam ?

    Hi rosspce and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
    The altered subject line is what's causing your problem.  The BlackBerry Desktop Redirector looks for the specific subject line of RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2, so when "Spam" is added to the subject line, it is not recognized and thus not processed.
    It is typical of some spam filters to alter the subject line to make for easy filtering of messages.  You would have to consult whoever is administering the spam filter and make sure these messages are not marked as spam.

  • Desktop Redirector & Forwarding Contacts/Appointments

    My posting is a two part question.  First, I am hoping to accomplish being able to do a wireless sync of contacts and appointments in Outlook using Desktop Redirector.  I plan to still use BIS for email on this account. 
    I'm using a terminal in my office and plan on leaving it logged in to the users account 24-7. 
    PROBLEM 1: I've uninstalled & reinstalled BB Desktop v. 5.0.1 and set up the Storm 2 to work with the software.  Everything seems fine until I open Desktop Redirector.  It opens Redirector with a status of Running but shows a date of 9/14/2009 of message last delivered.  There is a whole bunch of info in this screen but this phone is brand new and we've never used Redirector on this machine.  I cannot even select Options > Clear Statistics.  PIN is correct for this phone.
    PROBLEM 2:  WIll Desktop Redirector even sync Contacts & Appointments wirelessly?

  • Desktop Manager 5 and Email Forwarding

    Ever since I installed Desktop Manager 5 I haven't been able to figure out how to stop emails from being forwarded to my BB while connected to my PC.  I no longer seem to be using Redirector as I was under 4.7.  What I am I missing?

    I was able to find a solution to this problem.  Follow the steps in modifying your installation with KB11162 and choose Work/Exchange/BES email settings.  This will install the BlackBerry Redirector application which you will find by clicking on Start > Programs > Blackberry > Blackberry Desktop Redirector.

  • Desktop manager stuck on CONNECTING

    Hi,  I have just connected up my old Bold 9700 to the BB Desktop software but need to restore the backup from my 9360 which has been sent away as its broken.  However, when I connect my 9700 to the Desktop Software it seems to be stuck on 'connecting' on bottom right of the dialogue box. I saw a suggestion that opening the software as the Administrator might work but i do not know the password.

    Disconnect the two. Do a full power down and restart of your PC (not a "restart"...a full power down). At the same time, do a standard batt-pull reboot of your BB (power ON, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait). Then try again and see if it succeeds.

    Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
    Also check on conflicting software...it has been reported that the software package NTI Shadow&Ninja can cause a conflict; removing them and reinstalling the BB desktop software allows it to install correctly.
    Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these. Also apologies if any are not presently available...RIM takes them up and down at will as they revise things.

  • Desktop Redirector Not Contacting Phone

    Hi all, first I want to apologize if this has been covered before.  New to the boards, and I wasn't able to find anything similar that had a solution.
    With that out of the way: My boss's Desktop Redirector isn't working properly anymore with his 8330 phone.  It used to work, from what i've been told, until recently.  Oddly, *some* emails from his Exchange account are still getting to his phone, but not all of them.  There doesn't seem to be a pattern to what gets sent and what doesn't, either.  For instance, some things marked as spam by our filter get through, while some spam doesn't.  Same with emails not marked as spam, and emails that come from our domain.  I also tried to send emails from his phone (something I don't think he does)  using his Exchange account, and it did not go through.
    Also, the Redirector says the last time it made contact with the phone was almost 18 days ago, and all emails are added to the "pending" number and stay there, whether or not they are one of the ones that gets through.
    All the settings appear to be correct in Desktop Manager.  I uninstalled the older (4.-something) version of Desktop Manager and Redirector and installed the latest version on Blackberry's website.  Same problems. 
    Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.  I'm sorry if I left something important out.  This has just kind of been relegated to me because I maintain our Windows-based systems, so I must know everything electronic.  Please let me know if there's anything else you need to know.

    Its the exact same BB, same PIN.  I have spent the last 20 minutes on the phone with tmobile - tried changing the fowarding address in regedit to my email (@tmo.blackberry.net), tried new service books, tried couple of other items - now being transferred to RIM as they are stumped.

    Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with emailing photos from the Camera Roll.
    The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.

    If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the Photos and Camera app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
    Restarting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Icloud will not back up because it says email address not verified.  I am not getting a link in my email to follow to verify account, checked email address listed is correct, so how do I verify email address when I dont get the email link?

    I am unable to verify email address to sign in to icloud so that I can backup my stuff.  I am not getting an email from apple to follow a link to verify email address.  I have checked to make sure the email address is correct in the icloud settings, but all it will tell me is to check my email for instructions on how to verify my account.  I am not getting the email!  Please help, I am able to sign in to my itunes account and buy new music all the time!  I get my itunes receipts and everything, and know the email is correct so what is the deal?

    If you have given correct info about you ios 6.1.3 - all you need to do is delete account. You will be able to sign in with new one afterwards. Make sure you don't delete any info when you see those prompts.

    I am getting this error whenever I copy an email address from somewhere and paste it into the 'To' field.

    Whattup with that?
    Only way to get around it seems to be either typing the whole address in (uh!) or clicking on the email address and letting Mail create the new message. Both are not the way I need to do things and it used to work perfectly in Snow Leopard, as would be expected for such a basic sort of command.

    I had the same problem with multiple adressess:
    I used the " ; "  as a seperator.
    The message was sent with no trouble at all as soon as I used the " , " (comma) instead.

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
    Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. Don't post any more log extracts; just test. Same problem?
    After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
    Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
    Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
    After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

    Trying to buy a song but itunes keeps saying that it cant verify my address, its the same address that i have always had, this is not a new account, it is the first purchess on this new comp, but i have already autherized it. when i click on the buy button screen comes up and says first time buying on this comp. verify billing info, only thing missing is my code for my credit card, all the rest (my home address) is already on the screen, i put in my CC code and then screen comes up saying it cant verify my address, but the address on the screen is right, there is nothing that needs to be changed.... any idea on whats going on?     Found a fix for this. Apple must have did some updates or something. Go to this website and put your address into it.
