Desktop Redirector with Outlook to a POP3 Account

I have Outlook pointing to an Internet POP3 account.  Can I use the Desktop Redirector in this configuration?
I currently have my BlackBerry setup with an Internet account.  It works but the Internet account only sends to the device about every 15 minutes, so there are often delays in when the messages appear on the BlackBerry.  Also, Sent messages are not coordinated with my Outlook Client.

Desktop Redirector is only supported using an exchange mail server, POP3 mail sill not work with redirector and you will end up with ETP.DAT messages in your inbox.

  • How can I set up iCloud sync with Outlook 2007 using Hotmail account?

    Hi,
I installed iCloud PC control panel. I tried to sync my contacts and calendars from Outlook (2007) to the cloud but I gets this message: "Add an e-mail account to Outlook Before setting up iCloud". I have an Hotmail account synced up into my Outlook via Outlook Connector. Can iCloud sync with Hotmail accounts?
What should I do to get my calendars and contacts synchronize to the cloud. Does Outlook 2007 can be synced by the cloud too?
How can I set up iCloud sync with Outlook 2007 using Hotmail account?

I found a way to fix this, it did the trick for me:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3109623
All you have to do is include a new e-mail account [email protected] (set it as a default) on Outlook with the options that are showed in the thread I linked and you should have the calendars and tasks syncronised. It works perfectly with ipod touch, ipad and Outlook 2010 on windows 7.

  • Outlook 2010 suddenly cannot find or is timing out with email servers and pop3 accounts.

ISP says DNS is fine . No proxys enabled. Have reset routers already

    Hi,
Please try to increase the server time-out setting to check if the issue will be resolved. To do this, please follow:
    1. Start Outlook.
    2. On the Files menu, click Info >
    Account Settings > Account Settings
    3. Click to select the target POP3 account, and then click Change.
    4. Click More Settings.
    5. Click the Advanced tab.
    6. Gradually increase the server time-out setting until the issue is resolved.
If the problem persists, please try to create a new mail profile in Control Panel to check if it helps. Please refer to the KB article below which described a similar situation:

    Hope this helps.

  • Error when configuring Desktop Software with Outlook 2007 Calendar

     Hello,
I am trying to find some help for a problem I'm having with a Blackberry 8100. I would like to use the Desktop Software 5.0 in conjunction with Outlook 2007 (on Windows 7 64 bits) to sync the calendar between the device and the computer. Actually I pretend to change Lotus Notes (which worked perfectly) for Outlook 2007.
The problem appears during the configuration process on the Desktop Software. I go to the configuration wizard for the calendar, choose Outlook, select bidirectional syncronization and then after clicking Next a small window appears (it happens also with both one-way options).
The window has Error as title and no other text, just an OK button. After closing it the wizard goes on asking for which Outlook profile to sync with. Unfortunately, the drop menu list does not show any profiles, it is completely blank.
I've tried creating, removing and renaming new profiles helplessly, as the error windows appears again and no profile is listed.
How could I solve it? Any idea would be appreciated.
    Thanks for your help,
    Roger

  • Desktop Synch with Outlook - this may be the final straw

I am running Blackberry Desktop on a machine running Windows 7 64-bit. I'm using Blackberry 7.1 Bundle 1737.  I am using Outlook.  I don't have an enterprise email.
When I try to synch, it usually works on memos and tasks, fails on address (stalls part way through) or calendar and address. Errors include "Line 131 in .\error.cap", CRTran", "BB storefront", "CPreferensManager Configuruation Value not set in TransConfig.xml". Etc. I did a clean reinstall on the desktop, I wiped the Blackberry, cleaned out all Blackberry entries on drive and regedit, and still problems.
The synch with the same Blackberry and same version of Blackberry Desktop software  works fine on laptop (32 bit).
Tried one more time: Did a clean unistall.  Deleted "RIM" under my "appdata". Reinstalled using "run as adminsitrator". Ran the program from C:\ with properties as Windows 7. The synch ran for tasks, memos and calendar. However, for addresssess, it stalls at either 1687 or 79 addresses (out of ~4500). It ran fine on the laptop (Windows 7 32 bit).
Another issue: I accidentally set up gmail with "synch". I could not "unsynch" contacts, and had to do a security wipe and reinstall.
Tell me I should still believe in RIM/Blackberry.

After ages of successfully and happily using Blackberry Desktop 6, I reformatted my system and decided to give the newer 7.0 a whirl. Worst mistake ever. I tried 7.0 and it fouled up my contacts in a horrible way, both in my Outlook and on my phone.
Every few months I give it another shot, most recently with 7.1, and the software is still unintuitively awful compared to 6.10 when it comes to synchronization issues. I shake my head each time and I wonder if quality control is one of the reasons RIM lost so much market share.
My advice is to go back to 6.1 if you can find it on the net. It's always worked reliably for me.
    610_b038_multilanguage.exe is what I'm using.

  • Where is the desktop redirector with Desktop Manager 6?

A client of ours had upgraded his version of Desktop manager to 6 from 5.something.
There is no more link for the Redirector under START - PROGRAMS - BLACKBERRY
The icon for the redirector still shows up in his start menu, however, it says that it's not started.
Where can I find the software with the new desktop manager?  I've tried reinstalling the desktop manager already but still cannot find it, nor were there any options during the installation to include it.

I've looked for this and cannot find it either.  I want to be able to hide the Blackberry bar at the bottom of the screen when I minimized the software.

  • My lock screen just shows a black background and a User Name/Password dialog after opening the screen from sleep. How do I get it back to where it blurs my desktop image with the dialog and my account image displayed?

I'm not sure when it began, but now my Macbook Air only shows a black background and a User Name and Password dialog box when I wake it from sleep. It used to show my desktop background blurred with my user name and icon displayed with only a text field for entering my password. I'm currently using Yosemite (OS X 10.10.1) and all updates have been done. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I know this isn't a real problem, just an annoyance since I couldn't find how to change it back in the System Preferences.

I just have to point out that after looking at a related post (https://discussions.apple.com/message/22661092#22661092), it brought to memory that my issue most certainly began happening after I added some DoD certificates to the keychain. This obviously has something to do with it, but it still leaves me wondering what actually causes this to happen. :/

  • Help! Can I sync my Palm Desktop with Outlook Web Access?? I'm using a T5 -- NOT wireless, but cable-synced

I have spent the last 3+ weeks trying to get my Palm Desktop information to sync with an Outlook Web Access account.
I have been able to sync my Palm Desktop info with Outlook 2007, and I have been able to acess an Outlook Web Access account through a microsoft exchange server.
BUT, when I talk with tech support.... I get several conflicting answers.  One tech says it should be easily possible; one says I need to buy another monthly service; one says it is impossible and I should just buy a Blackberry.
At this point.... I'm not sure I actually care what the answer is, but I would just like a definitive answer....
    I have a Palm Tungsten T5.
I want to sync that Contact and Calendar information regularly with an Outlook Web Access account so that my colleagues can see and edit my schedule as needed.... then the info would sync BACK to my Palm so that I can have my current schedule with me.
Can anyone shed some light on this please??
    Thank you!
    Emily Koenig
    Post relates to: Tungsten T5

    The short answer is no.
The t-5 has the ability to connect to an exchange server but the version of versamail it has would only sync mail and calendar. You would have to have a wifi card to be able to do even that. To do what you would want you would need to upgrade the versamail client (I don't believe Palm has an upgrade for the T-5) and a wifi card.

  • Need Help with Outlook 2007

I am a newbie and need help on how do I set up my Blackberry 8330 Curve to work with the Intenet Explorer & Outlook 2007? Your help wpould be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    Email:
Set up a BIS account (you'll need to contact your provider to ensure that your paying for a BIS service!)
Email will arrive to the messages icon. This is a COPY of the ISP emails before they arrive to the Outlook. Or you can use Desktop Redirector and Outlook but you will need to leave your PC running all the time for this to work, so I dont see the point. Just use the BIS instead.
REMEMBER: Once you download the email to your Outlook, the BB handset cant delete them from the server - the Outlook is not the server - your ISP has the mail server.
    Explorer:
Blackberry Browser/INternet Browser/WAP portal are different browsers that are available on the handsets. Rememebr that all mobile devices do NOT access the Internet as on your PC! They access a subset of the internet effectively called the Mobile Internet. Web pages need to be specially formatted to be viewed on the small screeened devices and as s cuh cannot be viewed correctluy. Modern webpages cannnot be viewed at all as they run java/javascript/flash programs on the browser to show ads/other efffects on the webpoages and so these will not work on the MBB.
Dont expect a Full laptop screen on a Tiny Monbile handset. That way you wont be dissapointed when your expectations are dashed(!)
Your carrier will be able to connect you to  the Blackberrry Web browser service.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to install desktop redirector

Ok I'm lost here, I've tried it on several PCs, same results - I never get prompted to install the Desktop Redirector for Outlook.
    I followed these instructions -
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB16236&slic...
Step 9 never comes up. I selected 'work' - selected 'Outlook' then it bypasses step 9 and goes right to the final step. What am I doing wrong here?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Nevermind....apparently even thought the step never came up it was installed in the background.

  • Multiple Signatures on Exchange/Outlook 365 with multiple connected pop3 accounts wanting sepearate signatures

I was referred here from another thread, see
http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/158/p/245124/778388.aspx#778388but not sure if this is the right forum, so please move/correct my posting if needed!
    It's a exchange/Outlook365 query, relating to signatures
I have several connected pop3 accounts to the exchange mailbox, but there appears to be no way to have separate signatures for each connected account, in fact there appears to be only 1 signature for the entire account? So when I send emails I can select
from several different from addresses, but the signature remains the same ...
On desktop outlook 2003-2010 at least, there is the ability to have default reply, default new message signatures for each account in use, is there a way to configure the exchange/outlook365 OWA to do this ?
I'm about to test if an outlook 2010 desktop client allows/recognises the server side linked accounts and allows email to be sent from them, so any tips or points on that would be welcome!
    thanks

In Outlook2010 you can set multiple signatures, yes.
If you connect to those accounts LOCALLY using POP3 you can also then set defaults for each account ... HOWEVER
if you set the CONNECTED ACCOUNTS via OUTLOOK365 via the cloud server, the local Outlook will not let you set default signatures for each account. Yes you can have signatures and manually select them, but that's not the same thing, and leads to mistakes.
The whole point of connecting the accounts via the Cloud is that the local PC is then no longer part of the critical path when away from the office, so if the local PC crashed or lost internet, then it would not affect mail delivery to the single exchange
mailbox, for access via the web or mobile devices. Quite important. A common failure we have on local outlook pop3 connections is a single password failure to login, leaves the pop up menu on screen and then stops all other pop3 mail collection from working.
We have tried for 2+ years to solve this "password failure popup", but as the passwords are saved and don't change and the problem persists, we wanted to move to the cloud ... and avoid problems when users are away.
Last but not least, if using the cloud to send a reply to a mail via a connected account, the email is not sent as the connected account (despite it being validated for send as) but sent using a "<exchange Primary email> send on behalf of <pop3
connected email>" which defeats to whole point of connecting the accounts and verifying them!
I've got to say when even Google can get this right! why can't Microsoft? It really does suck!
For a business class product having 1 signature per user within OWA is seriously deficient.
Maybe time to move our email needs to Google, as on searching the depths of old archives it does appear these issues have been raised for several years, yet nothing has improved ... shame on Microsoft.

  • Can't sync Centro (AT&T) with Outlook 2003 - on non main user account

    Hi
I have a Centro (AT&T) and Outlook 2003, Vista Home
Our main user account ("L*******) can install the Palm Desktop software from a CD (that came with the Centro in May 2008) and from PalmDesktopWin62.exe (72MB).
It ask for a user name of which I give it "K****" (letters removed on purpose). It ask me to connect the Centro and shows that it is using Outlook.  An Outlook email account is NOT set up on this user account on the laptop.  When I go to the HotSync Manager, it shows under Applications ~ Outlook, etc.
On user account (K*****) on same laptop, when I try to sync above phone, it asked to set up another account "K****" on this PC to which I reply Yes.  Then when it starts the HotSync it is using Palm Desktop as it has under applications ~ Date Book, Address Book,To Do List, Memo Pad instead of the Outlook name of Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Memos.
I have done many hard resets on the Centro.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software from the CD & download several times also removing all the Palm OS files under all the user accounts on the laptop.
I've tried installing both methods of software under the main account (L****) and the secondary account (K****) both as adminstrators.
So my question: what am I doing wrong or can you only run an outlook sync from the primary account on a laptop?
Also, I'm currently running all of the above on another computer but only using the primary account and not having problems.
Thanks so much for your time!!!
    Post relates to: Centro (AT&T)

Ok it sounds like that you have a username setup on the device. Now to get this synced with outlook we need to delete the current account setup on the PC in Palm Desktop. First we need to setup a username called test. Once that is setup then delete the other account and then sync the device. Once the device is done syncing go to Start-->Programs-->Palm-->PIM conduit sync--> sync with outlook. Click ok then done. Then sync again.
To delete and add an account in the hotsync manager, open up the hotsync manger and select user accounts. Once in there click on add and type in test. Then click ok. Select the other username that looks like yours and delete it.

    Hi nprguy,
It sounds like an earlier version of the BlackBerry® Desktop Software installed on your PC may be conflicting with this installation.
I would advise uninstalling both versions of the BlackBerry Desktop Software then reinstalling the latest version.
The following KB articles should provide more information on the issue.
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" when uninstalling BlackBerry Desktop Manager www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10220
"Error 1316" InstallShield error is encountered when uninstalling or upgrading the BlackBerry Desktop Software

  • How to add custom label to a new contact in address book which is synced with outlook account

    Hello all,
My iPhone is synced with outlook account. When I tried to create a new contact,'Add Custom Label' option was missing. Is Apple provides any solution to handle this? Is there any documentation provided about this behavior?

The second script is working but if I need to change the link it will not allow me to edit or delete it in iCal on my desktop. The only way to edit it is to use the online iCal in me.com.
And the worst problem is that the url does not show up on my iPhone iCal. The iPhone version of iCal has limited features. So if I'm away from the office on my iPhone I still have the problem of having no link to my iCal appointment. I still end up having to use both iCal and Contacts as separate Apps.
I still dont understand why Apple wouldnt make these 2 Apps work together! It seems so obvious! thanks anyway.

  • OTHER POP3 ACCOUNTS USING OUTLOOK

I am so frustrated because I have several business related pop3 email accounts that I use, but with Verizon DSL I have not been able to send and receive through those accounts.
DOES ANYONE know what it takes to set up pop3 accounts thru Verizon/Outlook where they will work?
I have never had problems with other service providers. I feel crippled by not being able to use my various pop3 accounts.

    1. Are you having issues with sending or issues with receiving? These are usually entirely separate issues.
    2. What error are you getting?
