Desktop Software with viewable Calendar?

Is there a way to view your calendar from the BBerry on the desktop?  I previously had a Palm and was able to do so.. it was very convenient..

Blackberry Desktop Manager Software is to synchronize device calendar with desktop application (Outlook/Lotus Notes Client).
And in this case the application to work with your calendar on desktop computer is your Outlook or Lotus Notes Client application. When you've done changes in calendar on desktop computer - run synchronization with your device and vice versa.

  • Cant Sync Mac Desktop Software with Mac Outlook 2011

    Hi,
I cant Sync Mac Desktop Software with Mac Outlook 2011, Calendar and Contacts etc.
The sync button is not highlighted on the BB Mac Desktop Software therefore it can't be clicked.
I have turned on sync in Outlook in Preferences under Sync Services.
In the BB Deskstop Software, when i click on the Calendar function, it says "There are no writable Calendars available for syncing on this computer. The Contacts section says "sync services is currently turned off on this Mac"
I have updated both the Deskstop software and Mac Outlook to the latest updates.
    Regards.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
First off, you must have installed one of the compatible Desktop Organizer apps:
KB12268Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows for synchronization
Attempting to use anything NOT on that list will, of course, fail.
Secondly, you must have not have Outlook installed as "Click To Run":
KB24040 Support for Microsoft Office 2010 Click-to-Run installation
If you have it installed in that manner, you must correct that.
I have no idea how your prior machine was configured, but I know 100% that you can synchronize to a Win7X64 Laptop with Outlook 2010...I do it all the time.
    Good luck!

  • Error when configuring Desktop Software with Outlook 2007 Calendar

     Hello,
I am trying to find some help for a problem I'm having with a Blackberry 8100. I would like to use the Desktop Software 5.0 in conjunction with Outlook 2007 (on Windows 7 64 bits) to sync the calendar between the device and the computer. Actually I pretend to change Lotus Notes (which worked perfectly) for Outlook 2007.
The problem appears during the configuration process on the Desktop Software. I go to the configuration wizard for the calendar, choose Outlook, select bidirectional syncronization and then after clicking Next a small window appears (it happens also with both one-way options).
The window has Error as title and no other text, just an OK button. After closing it the wizard goes on asking for which Outlook profile to sync with. Unfortunately, the drop menu list does not show any profiles, it is completely blank.
I've tried creating, removing and renaming new profiles helplessly, as the error windows appears again and no profile is listed.
How could I solve it? Any idea would be appreciated.
    Thanks for your help,
    Roger

  • Desktop software crashing on Calendar sync

I am starting to get frustrated with the desktop software (4.7) crashing while syncing calendar entries.  I use Outlook 2007, Vista Business 64 and I have an 8310.  I have twice recently experienced this, once with an invitation that apparently had too many people invited, and once apparently with an invitation with an attachment.  Is there something I am missing that can make the desktop software more robust when syncing calendar entries?
I have been able to resolve these issues only after going through the instructions to increase data logging and then digging through the end of the log files.  This is too painful to do on a regular basis.

I too have had similar issues with a few users here. It is never an easy find.

  • Blackberry Desktop Software with Windows 7 and Office 10

I am having synchronization issues with Blackberry Desktop Software running in Windows 7 with Office/Outlook 2010 (Beta).  I get this error message: "No available message structure" when I try to set up the synchronization. I can't find this error message in any on line guide. Any ideas?

Was it working before or it's never worked?
I don't see Outlook 2010 as being supported yet on the system requirements page for the Desktop Manager

  • Use BB desktop software with no connected BB

    Hello
My fantastic BB Bold 9900 has unfortunately been floded and become unusable.
Is it possible to retrieve the back data I saved on my computer withour connecting the device which is out of order?
    thanks for advice

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
If you have used the Desktop Software to backup your device to your computer, then the files containing the data are there...they will be either with extension of IPD or BBB, depending on the version of the Desktop Software you used. However, those files are of a proprietary format, and natively only useful as the source of restore to another BB device. Refer to the Backup link in my auto sig on this post for information regarding backup/restore.
There are 3rd party PC apps that can parse the BBB/IPD files and present them in a usable format on your computer. A few minutes on your favorite Internet search engine should provide to you candidate apps for this purpose.
    Good luck!

  • Problem with synchronizing desktop software with Lotus Notes

Problem: synchronizing between blackberry storm and my pc with the desktop manager. During the settings of the configuration is asked for the location of the NOTES.INI file. The configuration program finds the NOTES.INI file it's self.
After selecting the NEXT button I get an announcement that the NOTES.INI file can't be opened and the configuration stops.
I don't know what to do to select the right file or setting so the desktop manager can synchronize with my blackberry.
I hope somebody can help me with this problem.

  • Wierd Problem -- Desktop Software stops updating Calendar, Memopad, and Tasks

I have a problem where BDS stops recognizing my phone over bluetooth.  I can reboot the PC, and the bluetooth connection works fine, but BDS deselects the Calendar, memopad and tasks on the "Select Organizer Data to Synchronize" menu page (Address works fine).  This is a pain, because I don't always notice it's been deselected, and I have missed meetings that I entered in my phone because they didn't show up on my Outlook calendar.
Anybody else noticed this problem?  Is there a fix for it?

  • Desktop Software Sync Calendar not installed???

I have always been able to Sync my BB 9700 with my PC using Desktop Software, but now after updating the software to 6.1.0.35 my calendar is not syncing. It actually says beside Calendar on the software that it is (not installed). This happened before but was able to get support from Rogers to fix it. Now they will not offer support and I don't recall how it was fixed. When I go to the Organizer on the desktop software and Select Calendar under Select Organizer Data to Synchronize this is where it says Calendar (not Installed). Can't find where to get it installed. Any suggestions?

Found some solution here that works for me:
You need to update your Blackberry settings. On the device (not on the Desktop Manager) go to Options -> Advanced Settings -> Default Services and select the email account for Outlook as your default calendar.
For some reason it selects other services, like Google or Facebook for the calendar by default.
After updating these settings on the device, you can go to Organizer -> Configure Settings on the Desktop manager and it should allow you to configure Calendar Sync this time.
    Hope this helps,
    Sincerely,
    Oleg.

  • Can't sync my new 8530 with Outlook Calendar

I have used this phone for 2 years but had to get a replacement because of a cracked screen.  Now the replacement phone won't sync via Blackberry Desktop software  with my Windows.  First time it doubled most, not all, of my appts on my phone.  Next time, nothing posted on phone transferred to Outlook.  I have checked and rechecked the preferences on the Organizer sync.  I really need to get a paper copy of my calendar from the Outlook but can't get the new dates transferred.  I am tech jinxed.

    Hi mtines,
    Welcome to the Support Community!
Can you please verify that the appointments you are trying to synchronize from your BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 smartphone are in the calendar that is selected as default in Options > Advanced Options > Default Services?
You can check this setting as well as which appointments are stored in each calendar by following this KB article. "Using the Calendar application on a BlackBerry smartphone that supports multiple CICAL service books" http://bbry.lv/TXo3MR
If you have entries in multiple calendars on your BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 smartphone, you can merge them inot one calendar for synchronization. Please see this KB article for instructions. "How to merge multiple calendars into one calendar on the BlackBerry smartphone" http://bbry.lv/TXoarO
    Hope this helps.

I use google calender, ical and a palm TX. There is reliable program available that syncs google calendar and ical (you should be able to find it in googlemail help pages), and you can then sync ical with your palm using hotsync/isync.
    Hope that helps.

Hmmm...OK, then the only thing I can think of is a clean start over...
I suggest the following steps (insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots). Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista/Win7, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
    1) Remove your device OS update package from your PC (add/remove programs)
    2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM DTM software:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
Some have reported that there are more registry keys to remove than are discussed in that KB
Others have reported the use of a registry cleansing tool to also be helpful
    3) Get a fresh download of the RIM DTM software:
    https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22
Choose the version that is newest and (if applicable) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchronizing via USB):
KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager for synchronization
    4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your device OS package from your carrier:
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    5) Install DTM to your PC
    6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
    7) Start the organizer configuration over:
KB17022 How to configure organizer applications for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager
Hopefully that will get things going again.
