Desktop softwear help needed

hi i'm having trouble with desktop softwear since my second harddrive stoped working
the installer constanly tries to reinstall desktop softwear if you cancel install it just starts again
wont let me uninstall as some files missing has remove some folders and registry entres but installer still stuck in constant loop
wont let me install again as it's already installed
HELP HELP HELP its driving me mad

Total Desktop Melt Down, Need Help!!!!

My Desktop is gone. Let me explain. I was running Toast, Safari and Photoshop CS. I started Quickbooks and Quickboks started to run the "Check for Updates" and when it did that a Dialog box came up saying i was not connected to the internet which I knew was wrong. Just a second after that happened the computer blinked and the desktop was wiped clean. The Desktop Icon appears as a generic white icon and if I click on it Text Edit starts up. Everything I had on the desktop is gone. I ran Permissions, Periodic through the Terminal, and I even ran FSCK. FSCK repaired a small error in the header and the computer started up fine. But still the generic icon remains. I can't get the Desktop to appear or act as a directory. I cannot create a new folder on the desktop. I cannot drag a file onto the desktop. Help!!!

I just had the same thing, and after trying everything I could, I finally tossed my desktop folder and restarted. Now all is ok. Luckily I didn't have anything on the desktop that was irreplaceable. See this:

Hey,
I need this help before Wednesday 21st May 2008 as I am going abroad and urgently need my phone. I have had my phone for just over a year now and I have never had any problems with it up until now.... Think you can help...?
This is the scenario. My messages are saved under my nokia N70's MMC memory card and when I get a message there are a number of problems.
1) My phone does not vibrate or alert me when a message comes in. I have checked my profile settings and they are all up to volume.
2) When the messages come through they are not displayed on the main window of the phone as "1 New Message Received" but in the top corner with a little envelope icon. I know the icon normally comes up but the "1 New messge received part doesn't come up.
3)When "1 New Message Reveived" is not displayed on the main window I go into the "INBOX". When I click inbox on "Messaging" the phone displays an error saying: Messaging: System Error(-10) with a red exclamaion mark. The I can not write any messages, view sent, or drafts.
I have tried to change me message settings by going on "Messaging"> Left Click "Settings" > "Other" > "Memory in use" and selected "Phone Memory". This works but then my I looses all my previous messages.
4)My phone is also dead slow. I click menu and it takes at least five minutes to load menu.
IF YOU COULD HELP ME ON ANY OF THESE ISSUES I WOULD BE MAJORLY GREATFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On that post its for Nokia N95 u kno? Although the problem is similar, but different phone model can lead to quite different solutions.

Also format ur memory card, do not use content copier! dont install too much softwares, as ur phone model is old and doesnt have much space.
This is from NOkia, sometimes does work depending on ur situation:

If you are deleting multiple items and any of the following notes are shown: Not enough memory to perform operation. Delete some data first. or Memory low. Delete some data., try deleting items one by one (starting from the smallest item).

to maybe let me see what u got on ur phone (by saving/exporting report).
Make sure u have the latest firmware! Updating firmware is like a hard reset but also upgrade.

Blackberry Electron 8800 JVM 102 Error Blackberry Desktop manager help

My blackberry got the JVm 102 error and i found out how to fix it using Blackberry Desktop manager, but i do not know which verson of blackberry Desktop manager i need, can any one help. thanks in advance -mike

Yes. Before you connect your device
go to options > advanced options > service books > scroll to Desktop (SYNC) and hit menu > delete
Run your sync on your PC, then go back to service books, hit menu > undelete. You will be good to go.

Hey, I hava a rather large problem. just so you know, I am american, and run english language everything. my specs are: [Windows XP PRO] [Athlon 64 FX-55] [ASUS A8N-SLI N-force 4 SLI mobo] [2 gigs ram] [2 6800GT s56 MB]. If anyone remembers, a day or two ago I posted a thread called "Driver uninstall/install help needed", that you can find here, http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=soundblaster&message.id=28565
A guy linked me some drivers, and now, when I uninstalled the old ones and was gonna install the new ones, I clinked on the amd64 thing in the suprrt thing, went to ctzapxx, amd it says "C:/Documents and Settings/chief/desktop/drivers/support/amd64/ctzapxx.exe is not a valid win32 application."
I am now stuck with no sound or drivers unless I use the system restore point I made before I did the uninstall/install thing.
I would really like some advice, or better yet, and explanation of why they don't work and where i can get some that do. I will bump this if it falls off the 'st page until i get a answer.

You're trying to run CTZAPXX.EXE version intented to be executed on 64-bit operating system (eg. Windows x64) while you're using 32-bit XP.
You find the 32-bit version of CTZAPXX lying in another folder (i386).
NOTE: When you install/update drivers using CTZAPXX.EXE you do not need to uninstall your previous drivers, but just 'accept' the 'option' asking your permission to stop all shared components while updating.

Alle the text and images are looking good. But to have this i had to change the settings of the breadcrums.
Now all my other pages look like this..

As you can see there is too much space between the text and the photos. it seems i cant do one page without effecting an other.
Need some help to figure this out.

Help needed to move contacts

hi, i have a problem that i have bought blackberry 8520.i want to switch my contacts from my old mobile samsung star s5230 to blackberry 8520.i have shifted my contacts from samsung to my laptop but i am unable to transfer from laptop to blackberry.i have tried to send some contacts to blackberry from laptop but blackberry doesnot show it.please let me know how can i do it.i have also downloaded blackberry desktop software but i dont know how to shift contacts from laptop to blackberry.

In short, I love it. I was going to buy the 5DMark III. After playing with it for a while at my local Fry's store where they put 5DMII, 5DMIII and 6D next to each other, using the same 24-105L lens, I decided to get the 6D and pocket the different for lens later.
I'm upgrading from the 30D. So I think you'll love it. It's a great camera. I have used 5DMII extensively before (borrowing from a close friend).
Funny thing is at first I don't really care about the GPS and Wifi much. I thought they're just marketing-gimmick. But once you have it, it is actually really fun and helpful. For example, I can place the 6D on a long "monopod", then use the app on the phone to control the camera to get some unique perspective on some scenes. It's fun and great. GPS is also nice for travel guy like me.

Help needed! Raid degraded again!

Help needed! I hava made bootable RAID with two S-ATAII 250Gb HDD and its not working! Every now and then at bootup I get a message RAID -> DEGRADED... Must be seventh time! Rebuild takes its own time!
What am I doing wrong!
T: Ekku
K8N Neo4 Ultra
AMD 64 4200+
2 Gb RAM
2 x 250 Gb HDD (Maxtor)
nVidia RAID (in mb)
P.S. I wery SORRY with my poor language!

I'm going to blame the nVRAID because I've seen issues with it in the past. If your motherboard has another non-nVidia RAID solution, use that instead. Using the nVidia SATA ports as BASE or JBOD is fine and dandy but RAIDing always had issues. It's not even a driver issue I think it's just instability. Latest drivers and even boxed drivers never helped. Granted, some will report success with their rig. But on a professional level I've seen nForce issues on different motherboards and different hard drives that had RAID disaster stories.
Good luck and if you don't have another RAID solution, my suggestion would be to buy a dedicated RAID controller card.
