Desktop to Link

I backed up my Q10 with Blackberry Desktop then cleared my phone because of problems I was having but now it won't restore. I'm told I have to now use Blackberry Link but all my info is on Desktop. Is there any way to transfer data from Desktop to Link so I can then get it back on my Q10?

Hey Doug,
Log on to CMC using Administrator privileges. Go to Business Objects Enterprise Applications> Desktop Intelligence.> Everyone Advanced rights and change the Explicitly Denied permissions to Log on to Dektop Intelligence and view this objects in CMC. New Desktop Intelligence Document will disappear for everyone.
One more thing is when you do this for everyone group, everyone in the BOE will not able to see this in the infoview.
*Explicitly Denied is the powerful option* Depending upon your requirement you can test this in your test environment first before moving this in production environment.
Theoritically, I don't have any clue why it is happening. It should work. I hope this helps!!!

Desktop picture linked to other sites.

I do not have a company website yet. Instead for the time being I would like to link pictures (that I have on my desktop) of products I have in develpment to sites like LinkedIn and Twitter. If this can be done please explain how. I have a Macbook.

I had this same problem which was driving me crazy !! ..I followed some of the suggestions and some seemed to work for a short while.. After a few days i have managed to succeed in stopping the redirects from happening ..what i did was this ..
I installed browser protect add on from the extensions page then i surfed the net for about 15 mins and constantly browsing and searching with google. I then clicked addons -extensions and options on browser protect.. in options you get 4 tabs look through them and you will see the offending search links ..Delete them all and leave only the ones you know are safe.. then browse and you will see you dont get redirected anymore ... check your options if you start to get redirected again and go through the same process and delete the suckers ...
This is the only solution that has really worked for me, malware scans virus scans and all the rest didnt work .. I even deleted firefox re booted and downloaded again only to find it started to redirect to some crappy "alltheweb2 links and some other links i cant remember now..
Give the above a shot it works !.

Desktop software links and menu does not work

Hi,
i have a blackberry bold 9000 and installed the latest desktop software 4.6 from the blackberry website.
my device manager says connected. but if i start desktop manager, i don't see the main header menu (there is just nothing, where the text menu should be) and the icons in the main window does not work as links. there is no connection to anything.
i have uninstalled all blackberry software and installed it new. i have installed several runtime environments manually, including java and c++. but that makes no difference at all.
what could be the problem? what runtime is necessary and should working correctly for blackberry desktop manager software? do i need some tweaks in internet explorer security settings (active scripting or something like that) ?

When I use Internet Explorer and I right click when I am on any website, there is a Create Shortcut option for putting that website onto my desktop.
When I use Firefox and I right click when I am on any website, there is no such option.
I want to know how to insert that option into Firefox for right clicking for myself.

You can drag the favicon on the left end of the location bar onto the desktop to create a shortcut.
You can also use an extension.

It sounds like those images might have synced to your PC and are not also resident on your PC even if they have been deleted from the handheld z10.

Failed to install Creative Cloud desktop error code 1 Windows 8.1

I just recently tried to begin a trial of creative cloud in order to get access to photoshop. I really need photoshop for my school because of how powerful it is and the tools is offers. A couple weeks ago I tried to download and install creative cloud for windows 8 64-bit, and the download begins, but once it reaches around 50%, it raises an error message saying "We've encountered the following issues: Creative Cloud desktop failed to install (error code 1)". I was having problems with the internet at the time so I just naturally assumed it was the cause. So I went ahead and gave it a couple of days before I tried again. When I tried again I received the same error message at the same time. I continued to look around for a solution and trying it everyday but I have had absolutely no luck with it, and honestly am getting quite frustrated with it. I have looked everywhere for a solution, I tried the adobe clenup tool, I have checked to make sure I don't have any previous versions of adobe products on my computer, and even tried installing it as an admin in safe mode, and still nothing. I have no idea what to do next, but I know that I have to get ahold of photoshop, one way or another, and it must have the professional tools included in the creative cloud edition. Please tell me there is a simple solution and I have been blind this entire time. If there is no solution, can someone direct me to another software similar to photoshop that has access to the plug-in dDo? (I am in game development and have heard how powerful dDo is and have been dying to use it. I have also been anxious to get photoshop, but it doesn't appear to be possible without the creative cloud desktop app).

In InDesign CS6/Cloud, is it possible to link selected text on one page to a separate page, or even to an object on a separate page?

I have an InDesign layout with multiple pages. The layout involves text and images, and there are text references for those images, that end up a page or two behind the image itself. What I'd like to know is if I can select certain text (for example, I want to select the number 3 in the text "Image 1 on page 3") and link it to a specific page, or to the actual placed image for "Image 1", so that if I have to re-paginate the layout later, the number 3 in the text will automatically change to a 2 or a 4, much like the functionality of page numbers. Is it possible to link and update external files in a Indesign document when sharing the Indesign file in Creative Cloud with multiple users?

I am new to Creative Cloud, but have been using Adobe software for many years.
Now we are considering sharing an Indesign file with my project group using CC.
The Indesign file contains links to external files (one Illustrator and multiple .txt files); and we export the approved version to an Hi-Res PDF.
These .txt files are currently hosted on our internal server but have not been linked directly: we first copy them over to local desktop and update the links in Indesign before creating a new PDF.
Since these file can be update by different people we would like to keep them outside the Indesign and Illustrator files.
Is it still possible with CC to link directly to the files on our server in Indesign and see if there have been updated?
Or can they also be stored in the CC cloud? Or is there another method?

Content of linked files in a inDesign-document refuses to update when edited.

The problem:
I have a question about linked files in an inDesign-document.
We have a indesign-file (indd) wich contains text, linked map-illustrations and ads.
One of the linked maps gets changed by an external map-producer via an VPN-tunnel. He works directly on one of the existing linked files (a map), and does not change the name or location of it after editing.
After the change, we open the indd-file again, but no dialog-window appears telling us that a link needs to be updated. So we do it manually, but the changed content doesn't get updated in inDesign.
If we target the linked file and choose to open it in illustrator for editing, all of the changes that was ment to be there, still is. It just doesn't show up in indesign. This also shows that the linking isn't the problem.
The file is only placed at one spot in the document.
Workaround:
1. If WE (not the external map-producer) open the linked file and save it again (same name, same location), inDesign instantly promts us to update the link and the graphics updates without problem.
2. If we place the file in a another location of the same inDesign-file, the correct content shows. (But still, the existing one does not update.)
Question:
Is there any way you can think of that could make this happen?
If so, How can we solve it without having to use the workarounds?

How to maintain links in adobe forms

I have created a fillable form and have created a link to another PDF form. The link works when I test it, but if I e-mail the form, or copy and paste the form to another folder or my desktop, the link again will not work.
I have tried, "set destinations, create a link, and button actions" and none keep the link when the file is moved.
I am using Acrobat Pro 10 for windows

Sorry, should have provided more info. The link is just to a another pdf file on our system directory (called the S/drive....). It is not a link to a web site. I send the form out and the user will fill it in and then auto submit with the use of an e-mail button. (which has all worked in the past). I recently added this new link for the user if this additional(second) form is required. I have created link so it will open the linked pdf and the use can print and fill out this second form.
However, when the form is e-mailed the link no longer works, or if I move the file to another folder again the link will not work.
Any more thoughts / help would be great, I am sure I am missing something, but can not figure it out??

Help! How to e-mail a PDF (from Pages) with active web links!

I have been working on this for hours without any success! I would be so grateful for a brainy Apple wiz to help me out. I am creating a Pages document that has active web links in it. My goal is to e-mail my document with the active web links in it.
So - If I export my Pages doc as a PDF to my desktop, the links work great! However - the moment I put that PDF into an email and send it the links become inactive. Is there any way to create a Pages document with web links > Export it as a PDF > Then mail with active (clickable) links? I have tried many times without success.
If the answer to my question is no, does anyone have a tip for where I can create a PDF and mail it with active links? Will any of the Adobe programs work for this type of thing?

Using Pages '09 v4.2.
I just tested this. Assumption: You have the “Windows friendly attachments” checked in the attachments panel.
Your Pages document is open. The web links are active. You want to get it into Mail.
From the Pages menu bar, choose Share > Send Via Mail > PDF.
Mail will open with a compose window. Your PDF will be attached as a full view document. You see the links present in the PDF.
Now, click near the web links. This shows your PDF in blue. Now right-button click, and choose View as Icon from the pop-up panel.
Now mail it to yourself on another account that Mail can open.
You will see the web links in the PDF.
Right-button click on a link and from the pop-up menu, choose Open with Safari.
If you chose Quick Look, it would pop open the PDF and offer to open it further in your default PDF viewer. In my case, it is Adobe Reader.
If Reader opens this PDF from the Mail attachment, the web links remain active.
Does this solve your issue?

2.2 hyperlinks not working in ibooks for desktop

Hi there,
So, I'm using 2.2's new feature in which you can create a text hyperlink to another part of the book from a drop-down menu in the inspector.
It works perfectly in Author itself, and also when previewed on my iPad - so I know I'm doing it correctly. But when I preview or export the same file to iBooks app on my desktop, the links just jump back to the beginning of the chapter. Is this an Apple fail?
