Desktop vs. mobile

can I use the same skype ID on both my desktop and mobile phone? if someone tries to call me, which one will answer? i have set them both up but I don't seem to be able to use the desktop - if someone calls me, my phone rings even when I want to use the computer with the big screen on it.

You can answer on whatever device you want to, I have Skype on my Xbox One, desktop, two Surface Pro's, a HP Stream and my phone, it's like listening to tubular bells if someone calls me and all devices are logged in. This is a perfect example of how cloud computing works, when someone calls you on Skype, they are actually calling your account which is cloud based (You can just log into web Skype and communicate) and the cloud server will then send notifications to any device logged into that account. Blog pages to show on desktop and mobile versions

I have a domain hosting separate desktop and mobile versions. I need to have the blog posts show on both versions.
Posts such as http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1217947 state that I can define separate mobile and desktop templates for the Announcement module (although I can't see the option anywhere). Is there something similar to the blog module?

That is why better informed web developers use the Responsive Web Design (RWD) technique. I thoroughly recommend this.

Synchronized text issue from desktop to mobile site design

Hello, I love the idea of synchronized text, but is there a way to assign different styles on both desktop and mobile site pages?
For example, If I use synchronized text on my desktop pages, my font sizes will be larger then the font sizes I would use for my mobile site pages. But, using synchronized text, if that content is linked between my desktop and mobile pages, I'm limited to one font size, which would work for my desktop site but the font size would be too large for my mobile site.
The content between between desktop and mobile would be the same text, but I need the option to assign a different font size for my mobile site.
Is this possible? If not, can you please add this to new features.

Hi,
Single page websites can be great for new sites or for some special projects, but I won't recommend them as long-term solutions and, if you already have a multi-page website, I do not recommend switching to a single-page site.
If your single page site has great content and good structure, google might provide same treatment as it does for various sub pages website.

Search engines will index all the pages of your website, providing multiple opportunities for your site to come up in searches. When your site consists of only one page, a single page is exactly what you’ll have indexed.
That means if you have many services, many products, single page design will really compromise your rank and result in search engine.

First of all PC as a "stand-alone" machine does not have ablity to send SMS since there is no necessary hardware in it. You can achive this in two ways: first, connect your mobile (method depends on model) to PC and use it to send SMS. Ofcourse it won't be for free - mobile owner will have to pay for it. Second way involves using so called "SMS gateway" provided by GSM suppliers via internet. Most of them, at least in Poland, are well protected against using by machines.
This is all I know about it. Hope it helped in some way

You're not the first person to report that the sessionstore.js or recovery.js file stopped updating with new activity. However, it's rare enough that I can't recall whether we have gotten to the bottom of it in a previous thread. I'll see whether I can search it up.
Meanwhile, someone might be able to come up with a way to watch for problems and extract some debug information, but I'm not personally familiar with such tools.

PC Desktop copyto Mobile Device??

Developing a little tool in Flash Builder 4.5/ AIR. I have a simple mobile app device built and running on a Motorola Xoom. However I am looking for a way to copy files to the mobile device from my PC (Windows) desktop. Would be nice if it could work on both Mac OSX and PC but am concentrating on Windows for now. Or alternatively import from Desktop to Mobile, in principle I guess it is the same thing

EWS not deployed anymore to Lync 2013 Desktop Clients, Mobile Clients still working fine

the subject of EWS in conjunction with Lync 2013 has been discussed a lot here .
However, I could not find here any solution for my problem and I'm (almost) at my end.
Following scenario - 1 x Lync 2013 BE server, 1 x Lync 2013 Edge server, 1 x reverse proxy (IIS ARR). This Lync 2013 deployment
was installed about two months ago and integrated into existing IT landscape. Everything worked wonderfully - desktop and mobile clients were able to connect from inside and outside our organization, EMS was deployed to both desktop and mobile clients.
After that there are no any configuration changes made on Lync server, and yesterday, shortly before an important presentation
I've found, that EWS is not deployed anymore on all desktop clients. Mobile clients, however, continue to function smoothly.
I have tried the following: restart Lync and reverse proxy servers - without success, Lync Connectivity Analyzer shows all
green (internal and external), all relevant tests with Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer were passed, also analysis using Wireshark brought nothing.
I must to say that a week ago I installed SP3 for Exchange 2010 - can it may be because? Also appears more
times a day the following error message in Event Viewer on the back-end server (language of operation system is German):

The issue may cause by the Network Service account that the Lync Storage Service uses does not have access to the private key in used by the oAuth certificate. Please do with the following steps:
Open MMC and add the “Certificates” Snap-in (Local Computer)
Open Personal | Certificates and find the the Certificate being used for OAuth (use the Lync “Get-CsCertificate -Type OAuthTokenIssuer” cmdlet to find the serial number of the OAuth certificate).
Right-click | “All Tasks” | “Manage Private Keys”
Add Permissions for “Network Service” account (the defaults Full control and Read).
Please also check registry key on client computer.
If the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\ Office\15.0\Lync \[User SMTP Address]\Autodiscovery registry key does not exist on the user’s workstation, then it likely means that one of the following failures
have occurred:
Lync was unable to locate a valid DNS A record or SRV record for the Autodiscover site
Certificate assigned to Autodiscover site is not trusted by the Lync workstation

How can I sync password on desktop to mobile?

Firefox sync works for me pretty well, except that the passwords that I have stored in the Password Manager for my desktop versions of firefox does not seem to be sync'ed to my android firefox mobile. Is there a way for me to do that?

Passwords should sync automatically when you are using Firefox Sync. But they may not work on web sites that redirect mobile browsers to a different page, since Firefox cannot tell that it is the same site. There may also be bugs in mobile Firefox that prevent stored passwords from working on some pages.
Firefox for Android does not yet have Master Password support built in. We're working on this for a future version. For now, try out the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/master-password-270907/ Master Password add-on].
