Desktop wont Recognize Bluetooth Blackberry

Just bought New Toshiba P770 laptop that has Bluetooth.  Just installed Blackberry Desktop Manager 6.1 and updated my Curve 8530 to 5.0.
When I connect my Curve to the laptop, it shows connected, but Desktop doesn't recognize it and wont give me the option of "enabling" bluetooth at all.  Says "see Prerequisites".  I know Im connecting with the laptop.  Cant find any updates or patches.

Have you tried a battery pull?
Could be a hardware problem with the usb port.
You can also backup your curve using blackberry protect.

Can you take it to the shop and have them test the usb port?  Not sure why it won't connect to your computer.

  • Q10 Device Wont Recognize Contacts

    hello
am having issues with this new blackberry Q10
and this is one of the issues
    blackberry wont recognize my contacts
get in coming calls and i do out going calls
i dont see the names of the contacts when i receive a call
and i dont see the name of the contact when i type its phone number and i call them
this device is not able to recognize contacts wisely
    also
    i downloaded whatsapp messenger
it only shows 20% of people who have whatsapp messenger
and the rest of 80% of people who have whatsapp messenger are not shown
i have them in my contact list but they dont show as they have whatsapp
and when any of these 80% speaks to me it shows their phone number not their names.
    thank you

It happen with me first time whene i transfer the contact .. Solution
1- download blackberry link from black berry web page
2- transfer contact from your old phone
After that you will found your contact appear but it will duplicate .. In this case you need to delete all contact and transfer again fresh one and you will find it all there and then all contact will appear in whats up ..
    Good-luck

  • Ipad wont recognize wireless network

    ipad wont recognize wireless network

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netwhttp://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I recently upgraded to the newest iTunes version and now my older Ipod is no longer recognized by my computer. iTunes doesnt open, it just gives me an error message in the bottom right corner saying Unknown Device. Ive tried looking for / updating drivers, reseting, everything and nothing works. I tried every USB port on my laptop as well. Running Win XP. Can anyone offer any other suggestions on how i can fix this???
    Thanks

Its been working perfectly for 4 years until last week. I have the USB/FireWire combo for hooking it up to my computer. It worked with all the older version of iTunes and now that 7.1.1 is on there, it wont recognize it at all. The computer is convinced there are no drivers for the "unknown device" and all searches performed for the missing drivers come up empty. The computer cannot see the iPod as an iPod, and none of this happened until I downloaded the most recent iTunes.
