I want to implement process flow for my mapping.
But I am getting error as,
"The connection was succesful but failed to retrive workflow version."
Also OWF_MGR user is not created.
Database is oracle 11g on RHEL
and standalone OWB 11.2 on Windows.
Do I need to create user owf_mgr which have schema for workflow objects?
Also which version of oracle workflow required for process flow. Do I need to install
Oracle Workflow server at Oracle db server or it ll get installed with 11g.
Where I ll get the details steps to implement process flow from scratch.

Hi,
I checked in dba_user and do not find owf_mgr in it so I created owf_user and grant himexecute any procedure and a role owb_user.
When I did not get table wf_resources in owf_mgr schema, I try to run wfinstall.bat on stand alone owb 11.2.
But I got the following error,
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist and execution terminated.

I am looking for Oracle 10.2.0.5 software to install in windows 2008 server (64 bit) R2. I tried with oracle download repository but unfortunately I couldnt find this software. In the below link I can see the product Oracle 10.2.0.5 - 64 bit (Itanium). I have tried to download and install in the server but I received in-compatible error message.

Which means, do i need to install 10.2.0.4 and then to upgrade 10.2.0.5 using patchset?10.2.0.1 is base relase 10.2.0.x is patchest. 10.2.0.5 cover previous patchest errors which mean you do not need install 10.2.0.4 than upgrade it 10.2.0.5

Oracle Developer Suite (ODS - Forms 10g) 10g R2 (ds_windows_x86_101202_disk1.zip) is not certified on Windows 7, however it will work. Oracle has certified Forms 11g (Fusion Middlware 11g R2) for Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit).
You can make ODS work on Windows 7, but you have to change a few things before installing to make it work.

This is a fairly common bug (not just with Oracle). The Oracle installer was written to check for a specific version of Windows rather than check for a minimum version of Windows.
Fix 1: Right-click the Oracle setup.exe and select Properties and then click the Compatibility tab and select "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP SP3".
The Oracle installer also is unable to check the amount of Virtual Memory (VM) available when the VM is set to "System Managed."
Fix 2: Open the System Control panel (Start => Control Panel => System OR press Windows Key and Pause Break key). From the System Properties window, click the Advanced tab and click the Settings button under Performance. Change the Virtual Memory settings to 2048mb min and 4096mb max. Then save and restart your computer. See Microsoft - Change the size of virtual memory for more information on changing the VM. (Note; after the installation is complete, you can - and should - change the VM settings back to System Managed.)
Lastely, the Oracle installer is not designed to work with the Windows 7 User Account Control (UAC) functionality.
Fix 3: Right-click Oracle setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
Done, now you are ready to run the Forms 10g setup again.
As I mentioned above, Forms 11g is certified with Windows 7 and is also the only supported version available so you might want to skip Forms 10g and go straight to Forms 11g. For this you will need to download and install WebLogic Server (WLS) 10.3.5 and Fusion Middleware (FMw) 11g R2. Install WLS first, but do not run the configuration at the end of the installation. Then install FMw and run the configuration during this installation. Also, you will want to run both installers "As Administrator".

Oracle 10g works property on Windows 7. You just need to download Oracle 10g Release 2 for Windows Vista and install it on Windows 7 using "Windows Vista SP 2 Compatibility Mode" and "As Administrator".

So if you are learning to become a production DBA, you should right away use EE or SE IMO .

Currently, Oracle9i Database Release 1 is the only one certified against Oracle9iAS Release 2. But Oracle9i Database Release 2 certification is partially completed (exceptions are Portal and Clickstream). We are working to complete the certification, so that Oracle9i DB Release 2 is fully certified against Oracle9iAS Release 2. I don't have an estimated date of completion.

Problem in HTMLB :( Very very very URGENT..Please help

I have a problem in HTMLB.
<u>Scenario</u>:
1. Am implementing a JSP DynPage Portal Component.
2. Have a class called "BeanOrderDetails", which consists of an Object table and mapped fields like ModelNo, Qty, etc as the Column Names in this class.
3. The class using JSPDynpage is called "NewOrder.java".
This class instantiates the above bean class and calls a jsp file calls "NewOrder.jsp".
4. NewOrder.jsp - uses HTMLB taglib style. consists of a form and set its layout to GridLayout. It further calls another JSP file which consists of all other GUI objects, called "i1_NewOrder.jsp".
5. i1_NewOrder.jsp - creates instances of GUI Objects like InputField,etc and adds these instances to the GridLayoutCell.
Question:
i> I have to create a button called "Add NewLine" such that when the user clicks on it, an empty row should be automatically generated in the above table, which is created as in step 1.
Where should I add this button and where would the event be handled?

Hi Ritu,
I had a very similar problem. The default TableViewModel does not support adding rows at runtime. You have to extend the TableViewModel for this - don't worry it is easier as it sounds.

Classloader problem, urgent! Please help.....

I am working with a subcontractor. I have to use a class written by them. They give me a jar file namely subcontractor.jar, and together with a config.xml.
I have tested the jar file already and can perform well.
However, when I intergrate with them, fail exist....
I look up their code as following:

I think the classpath option can be added as I type java /? it lists out that -cp can be worked with -jar.Sure, you can put in the -cp option. But the plain fact is that an executable jar will ignore what you put there. Reply 4 by dpz is your answer. However...URL url = (Parent.class).getClassLoader().getResource("config.xml");

}The first line of this code is correct for finding config.xml in your classpath (although you might have to use "/config.xml" if your code is in a package). But later you are extracting only the "file" part of that URL. If you put your config.xml file into a jar, the URL is going to be more complex than that, so getFile() is probably not going to work. I don't know what will work, though, because I don't know anything about the loadConfig() method and what it's expecting. The ideal situation would be if it had an overloaded version that took an InputStream.

Unable to Load Mac OSX after update - Urgent! Please Help

I just updated my Mac using System update, which required a start.
I restarted the computer, but it's stuck in the gray apple screen with the circular running bars. It's been now 10 minutes, and it never took so much. I tried to turn it off, then on again, same problem. What should I do? Please, help!

Problem solved.
First of all, thank you all for the advices and links, now I learned something. After panicking, I tried the PRAM reset restart and the "shift" restart and it didn't work. I didn't have the installation disk with me, so I went straight to Tekserve to hear them. They told me that my system got corrupted for some reason and I had two options with them:
- a quick fix, for US$59, which would erase all my HD content and take 24 hours
- a fix without erasing the HD, for US$195, which would take 4 business days!
They said those were all the options. For me the money was not major problem. The big issue for me would be not having my computer for many days.
Then I thought: what if I try to reinstall the system myself? And they said: well, you can try that.
That's what I did as I got home. Install disk, restart holding down the "C" key.
One hour later, everything was back to normal.
Now the question: why at tekserve they didn't say anything to me about reinstalling the system myself?
Anyway, this was the first major problem I bumped into since I have turned to apple 3 years ago.

You aren't providing enough information to know for sure what is going on, but a likely problem is that you're rendering a JSP page with a new component tree for the first time, so the components are getting built as the page executes.
In the EA3 release, this caused a problem, because encodeBegin() was called from the doStartTag() method of the JSP tag (i.e. before the child components have been created). However, in EA4 the call to encodeBegin() was moved to doEndTag(), so the child components should now be getting created already.
In order to debug this any further, we'll need a specific example of what you're doing, and what version of JavaServer Faces you're trying it with.

My entire development and the production are all stopped at this point due to
the EBCC sync problem. Ergent, please help!!

I just did a fresh install of WLP 4.0 SP2 to verify this.
If you look in:
C:\bea\wlportal4.0\applications\p13nApp\datasync\WEB-INF\lib
You should see a single file (datasync_servlet.jar). If you open this file
you should see a single class file of size 12,417 bytes and with time stamp
4/19/2002 9:45 PM - this is the SP2 version of the data sync web
application. You MUST ensure that you are using this version for all your
application being synced from an SP2 EBCC.
