Despite trying everything that people have suggested in other forums, I cannot remove the horrible Yahoo extention that has attached itself to my Firefox
Despite many people suggesting that you go to Add on's, then Extenstions under the Tools menu, no extensions come up.
This disgusting Yahoo program is totally ruining my Firefox experience and I want to get rid of it and re-claim my browser and screen!
Any help would be appreciated.

I have been trying to get Firefox to open up and everytime I double click on the icon nothing happens. I have gone to the task manager and deleted it from the process list and tried again and still will not open. How can I get rid of McAfee SiteAdvisor that has installed itself on my Firefox browser screen?
An uninvited McAfee message flashed up on my screen when I was on the net and I mistakenly clicked a button that installed the McAfee SiteAdvisor on my browser screen. I have tried to uninstall the McAfee program and to delete the files that McAfee has stored on my computer, but when I try to delete those files a box comes up saying that they cannot be deleted because they are either write protected or in use by another program.
I do not want to have to read a McAfee SiteAdvisor bright green notice on the bottom corner of my computer screen every time I use Firefox. Does anyone know how to get rid of the files McAfee has stored on my computer? Thank you.I used to have McAfee site advisor on one machine last year. I do not remember major problems un-installing it presumably it uninstalled easily from the Windows XP control panel -> remove programs.
I also seem to recall it created a long list of files possibly totalling in the GB range of memory use, if I remember correctly I had no problems in removing them.
If you have McAfee security products on your computer you may need to be careful about what is uninstalled. -

i am trying to updat to 5.0 i have the latest version of itunes but it bring up the error 3194 and i have tried everything that it suggested includeing removing itues and reinstalling it i did get an error when it updated but dont know why and what for

Imac have black screen. Start Computer sound come on, no picture. The last time I used the computer I put it to sleep, it never came back. i tried everything that was suggested including puting in the start up disk. The disk would not eject. Some one suggested how to remove it and that did work. Computer going to Apple hospital Tues. July 3, thank you for all the suggestions.

Delete ALL your email accounts.
Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON. Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery. -
HI so i connect my phone to my computer and everything works but it wont connect to itunes for some reason but did just a few weeks ago. Since no one here can possibly know what you specifically mean by "tried everything that other people are saying", no one can determine what you did wrong. Also, you didn't say what computer OS you use.

My iTunes account says "The iPod "Madison " cannot be synced. An unknown error has occured (13019)" after it has recognized all of the music and has went through every song and it said "Copying (song) to "Madison"....." and then after it has went through all of my songs (492) it says the error message. Put the ipod touch in recovery mode and then restored it, setting it up as a new Ipod, rather than restoring from the backup. Given how much trouble I'd had, I suspected that the backup might be corrupted anyway.
That seems to have resolved everything completely. -
I've lost a load of notes, but dont know why or how to get them back. I cant find the folder that is in my Yahoo account that people have suggested might be the location for the messages. I recently signed into iCloud for the first time. Any idea how to get the notes back? I really dont want to lose them.
It should keep asking for the password, because it's trying to check for purchases... As soon as you login, it will see you have pending downloads and create the downloads section on the left below Purchases under the Store section. Then it will start the music downloads there, as they will be listed one below the other.
You could just try to check your account balance or view your account and that will trigger a password request too. You can just click on that and say that now iTunes keeps asking for the password and ask him to help you with that. Trick would be to interrupt him so that he carries on with another task after, so he doesn't notice the download. Or you carry on with email or browsing which you were "busy" with when iTunes interrupted you for the password (stupid iTunes) -

I have windows vista. I have run the latest update from Microsoft. iTunes works except for connecting to the store. This has been going on for days now. I've tried everything that was suggested in the help section with no success. I can get on gmail & facebook just fine but can't access craigslist or any other regular sites I frequent.
