When running a report from InfoView and trying to have the output go to any file location (either specific or default), I am getting the following error message.  If I put in the destination parameters before running the report, the report fails with this error message.  If I run the report without the destination parameters, it completes fine, but then when I try and send the output to a file location, nothing happens.
Status:

Hi SC,
This error is well documented in our Knowledge Base and also in the SDN Forum.
There are several places where you have to configure the email destination to make sure it works correctly.
In the CMC:
1. Go to Servers.
2. Right-click on the Destination Job Server and select Properties.
3. Select "Destination".
4. Make sure that "Email" is one of the configured destinations. If it's not, you'll need to add it. If it is, you need to make sure it's configured correctly.
5. Right-click on the Crystal Job Server or (Webi\Deski Job Server) and select Properties.
6. Select 'Destination".
7. Make sure that "Email" is one of the configured destinations. If it's not, you'll need to add it. If it is, you need to make sure it's configured correctly.
Now you should be able to schedule your report(s).
I hope this is a very helpful answer to you.
Kind regards,
John

    Hi Toor,
Please go through by below link..
How to do Scheduling Crystal Reports?
    Antony
    Follow these steps.
There are two ways to configure EMail destination settings:
1.1  Default settings can be configured on destination tab of specific job server.
1.2  Report specific settings can be configured to change default settings while scheduling the report.
To enable the Email settings in the job server, navigate to:
        Home >> Servers >> ReportSpeficJobServer
and Enable the "Email (SMTP)" option in the Destination Name list.
Then click on "Email (SMTP)" link to set the following options:
        3.1  Domain name (Mandatory).
        3.2  Server Name (Mandatory).
        3.3  SMTP Port (Mandatory).
3.4  Authentication details if required (Optional).
3.5  Email settings for From / To / Cc (This can be configured while scheduling the report as well).
3.6  Subject / Message / Placeholders are optional.
3.7  Checkbox "Attach report instance to the email message" can be uncheck if it is required to send only the confirmation of Successful instances.
3.8  If checked, File Name settings can be configured (Optional).
Click on update to save the settings.
Make sure SMTP port is opened .SMTP Default port is 25.

  • CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged: Logon failure

I am trying to schedule a webi report and i want the output in excel format in a windows folder, but I get this error:
CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password
I've tried to do it with BOXIr2Sp2, BOXIr2SP5 and BOXI3.1, but I still have the same error even if the uid and pwd are correct.
    These are the parameters:
    Directory:   //192.168.100.5/Sinistri/BO
    User ID:  QUINSRV\user11
    Password:  ********
any ideas? Where am I going wrong?
    Please HELP!!

    Hi Camillo,
The following information might be helpful in resolving the issue.
In CMC, schedule a report, set Destination to "Unmanaged Disk"
Specify the Destination Directory to a UNC path pointing a shared folder on remote machine (such as: //machineA/sharefolder). The BOE machine and remote shared machine are in a workgroup environment.
Fill in User Name and Password fields for accessing the remote shared folder.
    Click Update button
    Schedule the report
    Cause
This is due to non sufficient user rights. The user specified on the destination page in the CMC needs to have "Logon Locally" rights on the Job Server machine. This right cannot be assigned to a user from another computer if it is not in a domain.
This is a normal behaviour in a Microsoft Windows workgroup. This issue has been assigned Track ID ADAPT00136664.
    Resolution
    Workaround:
Create the exact same user account with the same password on both computers and specify that user in the destination page when scheduling the report.

  • Intermittent Functionality of Schedule to CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged

    Hi there,
I am leveraging the schedule to Unmanaged Disk destination in Crystal Reports Server 2008 (v12.0.0.683), and when the schedule runs (it generates a PDF), it seems to work intermittently. The directory is always the same, but sometimes the instance fails with
Error Message: destination file error. [CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged]: [The system cannot find the file specified. ]
The path is a UNC path (not a mapped drive), and as far as I can see there are no network connectivity issues.
When I cycle the services via the CCM, it seems to help a bit..
    Has anyone ever seen this?
    Thanks,
    Allan

    Hello Allan,
I recommend to post this query to the [BusinessObjects Enterprise Administration|BI Platform; forum.
This forum is dedicated to topics related to administration and configuration of BusinessObjects Enterprise, BusinessObjects Edge, and Crystal Reports Server.
It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.
Also, all BOE Administration queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.

    try this:
    1. create a local user on the Windows Server
    2. make sure that this user can write to the share where the reports should be scheduled
    3. in the schedule options enter the username in format "WINSERVER.DOMAIN.COM\winuser" and the password
    4. retry
    that should to the trick.

  • File Source Error [CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged] : [Invalid argument]

    Hello
We have several reports scheduled with pdf or xls as outputs.
Sometimes they are not refreshed due to the error : Source File Error [ CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged ] : [ Invalid argument ]
    But sometimes it's ok.
And when we use the "refresh now" on the scheduled reports, it works.
How can I fix it ?
    Thanks

    Hi Vince,
Did you happen to find any solution for this?
Because we seem to have come across the same error and it works absolutely fine when we run the report instantly, but when on the schedule, some of the reports are failing with this error.
Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jasmine.

  • Destination plugin disabled?

This seems to be the right forum for this question, so I'll ask it here.Whenever I want to send a report I view in InfoView to another email address, I get a "The destination plugin required for this action is disabled. If you
require this functionality, please contact your system administrator." error message. Where do I find this plugin? Thanks,Robert

This setting is in the Central Management Console.  To enable it for different circumstances you want to go to the Destinations tab under the following servers for Crystal Reports: destinationserver and reportjobserver.

  • Error while scheduling Crystal Report within CMC with Destination as Email

    Hi,
I have added a Crystal Report within the CMC. Before scheduling it, I have specified the Destination as Email and entered  the necessary details. After scheduling it, the Report Instance gives a Failure with Error Message as -
    destination DLL disabled.CrystalEnterprise.Smtp
    How to rectify this?
    Thanks,
    Amogh

    Hi,
go to the CMC and invoke the server list under Servers. Locate the entry for the Crystal Reports Job Server, select it and invoke the context menu using the right mouse button. Select Destination and add Email in the list of the possible delivery options. Configure the connection data for your SMTP server and restart the Crystal Report Job Server.

  • Error with "File System" destination only in a Publication

    Hello,
I am able to have individual reports run & refresh to a File System destination, but when I attempt to have the same reports, as part of a Publication, save to a File System destination, I receive this error in the log:
    ERROR PublishingService:HandlerPool-32 BusinessObjects_PublicationAdminLog_Instance_15516 - Publication ID # 15516 - Distribution to destination CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged ... destination DLL disabled. [http://CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged ([1]/1])]: [ (FBE60013)
If I use Email instead of File System in this Publication, the Publication runs fine, no issues.
    Thanks for any help.

    Let's start with proper terminology
You're not sending report to unmanaged disk, you're scheduling it there.
When you use publication - you're publising it there.
2 different worflows, that use 2 different servers. Each server has to be configured for this functionality.
It is done in CMC in servers properties.
Admin guide will give you information on what each server in BO architecture is responcible for and what are the parameters that needs to be set for various workflows.

  • Setting External Destination

I have a website (made in VS 2005) that calls the creation of reports from Crystal Enterprise 10. I am trying to get it such that through the website coding I can modify the external destination that the reports are sent to, as they are different each time a report is run. So far I have not been able to successfully get this to work. This is what I am currently getting in CMC when a report is run:
    Status: Failed
Printer: The instance is not printed.
    External Destination: Not Authorized
Data Refresh Settings:  Use the server defaults.
    Start Time: 30/09/2008 2:25:59 PM
    End Time: 30/09/2008 2:26:06 PM
    Server Used: dest.reportjobserver
Error Message: destination DLL disabled. //dest... /CURRENT/ME/309/2009/Maintenance/M/:
I believe that I may inadvertently be setting the instance location, and that it why it is failing, but can't figure out how I should be setting the external destination then. The report runs fine from CE from the same user, even if I modify the destination directory to be what would otherwise fail. I've more than triple checked the security settings for the directory, but perhaps there is still something I missed?
I have tried to set this location through a schedulingInfo object by way of
    ceSchedulingInfo.Destination.Name = destination
and directly from the InfoObject through ceReportObject.SchedulingInfo.Destination.Name = destination
    and neither worked.
    Any ideas?

  • Crystal Report Server 2008

    Hi all....
i was downloaded a free trial Crystal Report Server 2008.. I want to schedule the reports.. In destination part, i chose File System.. but when it run, was failed. the log error message is:
    destination DLL disabled. [CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged].
When i am looking in forum, i find the same problem and this is a solution that another people give:
CMC -> Servers -> Adaptive Job Server -> Properties -> Destination
    Add destination 'File System'
Go to your CMC>SERVERS>WEBI Job Server>Destinations>Unmanaged Disk should be enabled.
CMC>SERVERS>Deski Job Server>Destinations>Unmanaged Disk should be enabled
CMC>SERVERS>Destination Job Server>Destinations>Unmanaged Disk should be enabled.
    My Questions is:
    1. I dont found WEBI Job Server, Deski and Destination Job Server in my CMC. it just have like a server name like:
AdaptiveProcessingServer, CentralManagementServer,CrystalREportsCacheServer, CrystalREportsJobServer, CrystalReportsProcessingServer, DestinatonJobServr, EventServer, InputFileRepository, ProgramJobServer etc..
    2. In Preferences tab, it just have General, Change Password and Crystal Reports Section.. in help file, it have more than 3 section like Web Intelligence section etc..
Could i have an advice? or this is an impact from free trial downloaded??
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Strange error while scheduling but can see the scheduled report

    Hi,
When I schedule a Deski Report from my Favorite folder to my repository folder the instance fails and has this error message
    destination DLL disabled. []: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp] .
But when I see inbox I can see the report scheduled in required format.
For information - I m using XIR3.1 SP2 and using a server group for scheduling this.
Please help me identifying why the schedule fails.

    Hi,
Please note, the error occurred when system tryng to push your completed scheduled report into a particular destination. In you case, the Repository Folder Path.
Regardless, the solution provided by the previous post contained the same solutions you need to apply.
In summary, you need to make sure you have permission to that particular path where the report will eventually reside.

    Ken

  • Missing records and history after Crystal Reports Server v0 to v1 upgrade

I went though and followed the steps outlined in this video

during the export and import a few things failed,
now i am hearing this from our report writers...
It looks like we still have some problems. Some reports that run and go to a file location failed. Error Message: destination DLL disabled. []: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]. Plus we didnu2019t get our alert email that these failed.  When I looked at the instance manager and had it show recurring schedules it only came up with 61 instances. That is not correct when you consider that some reports have 30 instance each because of it going to multiple locations. One report that I know that runs daily, Broken Apptu2019s with appointments is missing its history and schedule recurrence.
Strange how some of the schedules are ok and others are gone.
can anyone help me? I hate crystal reports and I hate SAP this whole experiance has been a 3 month long nightmare.

i put in a ticket and they walked me through a different way of backing up and restoring the CR
