Destination storage bin determination issue

Hi Experts,
When we deconsolidate the ASN, some of the products getting into correct destination bin and some products are not getting into correct destination bin, getting into one inbound over flow storage type defined. When i looked at product master, strategies and storage types configuration the difference i see between actual storage types and overflow storage type is:
1. HU requirement option. i.e. for actual storage types - HU requirement not allowed and for Overflow storage type - HU requirement allowed but not requirement.
2. For actual storage type ---- Mixed storage selected as "several HUs with different Batches of the same product" for putaway rule: Addition to existing stock/empty bin and for Overflow storage type - Mixed storage without limitations
Can you please help me if anything is wrong with above selection at storage type level?

Hello,
I suspect the issue is from because of Capacity Check Method. Try removing Capacity check Method. If it works fine, then, build the right capacity check method based on your need.
This should solve your problem.

I am not sure but may be you can see the program RLLS4100 or TCODE LS41.
With this report, you can create cycle lists which are assigned to a storage type.
You receive a list with the following information:
Production supply area
Material
Plant
Warehouse number
Warehouse type
Production storage bin
Dynamic destination storage bin
Staging indicator for production supply
Try also TCODE OP42 and PK05.

Error - No destination storage bin to be found in storage type

Hi all,
this is my flow -
Create STO PO - ME21n
create deliveries via - BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CREATE_STO
create Transfer order(TO) - L_TO_CREATE_DN - for o/b delivery
confirm TO- L_TO_CONFIRM
Using BDC i am doing PGI for VL02n
create Transfer order(TO) - L_TO_CREATE_DN - for i/b delivery
confirm TO- L_TO_CONFIRM
Create GR - 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE'
Here till PGI my report pgm is working fine. and when cominf to TO create based on i/b delivery i am getting error -
No destination storage bin to be found in storage type 104
I have added 2 lines in the FM at exception part -
error_message = 16
OTHERS = 32.
So my return code for the FM - L_TO_CREATE_DN (_FOR i/b delivery)_is 16
message class : L3
message number : 009
message type : E
No destination storage bin to be found in storage type 104
Can any one tell me how can be this rectified - Is this a config related issue or data problem ?

Thanks for your replies.
Manish: Where do I see that the storage bin is created with respect to storage type? I was checking LS03N where I can see that the storage bin is created for storage section and storage bin type. Configuraiton is like below:
Storage Bin search Strategy:
(1) By storage section: Not active
(2) By Stotage Bin type - Active and the storage bin type is assigned to a storage type.
I have one storage bin available (Bulk Storage) for the selected storage Bin type BUT it is not automatically searched by the process. Material master has WM view1 with storage type indicator and there is a config for storage type search which is working good. The only issue is searching storage bin while creating TO during Goods movement, in particular Put away. Also please note that the storage bin is not hardcodes in material master).
This error happens for all the scenarios (unrestricted, blokced or when WM stock is initial or when the materrial is created first time and subject the WM movements).
When I first started this question I thought that the error happens only for Blocked status. Actually it is happening for all the scenatios when the WM stock in initial.
Hope my scenarios are clear. Thanks in advance for your help again.

Hi,
Yard management (LE-YM) does not enter in the warehouse.
Therefore there is no destination storage bin relation.
On the other hand, there are capacity checks for trucks at location like door, staging area, parking spaces...

Proposal of same destination storage bin as source storage bin

I am using the function module: 'L_TO_PREPARE_ITEM_INT' for finding out the destination bin. But I am getting the same storage bin of source bin for destination bin proposed thru this FM. It doesn't make any sense. How can I avoid proposal of same storage bin. Is there anything to do in configuration or any userexits can be used to avoid this problem.

Hi
This is possible in standard SAP once you save the Material document.. Make sure your Plant and storage location have warehouse assigned.
Do transfer posting in MB1B with Mvt type 301 with Plant and storage location.
Alos ensure your material master has been extended to WM 1 & 2 views.
Check in MB03 for the Item details there is button called WM parameterer click this to see the storage type & Bin
System has to create the Transfer Requirement document then only you can see the storage type & Storage bin and this is possible once you save the transfer posting document.

Destination storage bin problem

Dear SAP GURUS
i am facing a problem the scenario goes like this.
I have created the sales order, and delivery and then done the picking using the delivery order's subsequent document by creating the transfer order and then confirmed the transfer order by lt12 the status is also coming as picking C and the WMSTATUS C now when i am trying to do the postgoods issue it is giving me the problem of
" warehouse XXX 916 not found"?
i have not done the putaway stratergy. can anybody help me with the problem please.
why is that so is it because that i have not done the PUTAWAY stratergy or is it something else.
please help me with this regards.

IMG->Enterprise structure>Definition->Logistics execution>Define, copy, delete, check warehouse number
IMG->Enterprise structure>Assignment->Logistics execution>Assign warehouse number to plant/storage location.
Make sure that you done the proper settings for ware house management
IMG>Logistics execution>Ware house management

Print of Storage Bin details in GR slip

We have done goods receipt (GR) in a Storage location with is Warehouse managed.
We have setting where the Transfer order is created and confirmed automatically as soon as GR is posted.
We print the GR slip and we need the Storage bin to be printed for every line item. We need the destination Storage bin detail from the Transfer order created.
Now is it possible to have this scenario?
Which program is called first? Printing of GR or Creation of Transfer order?
Please help me with the logic to get the Storage bin information in the Goods receipt slip.

Addition to stock in storage bin

Hi,
in the customizing LE-WM-Master data-Define Storage Type I have defined for storage type 500 that addition to stock is not allowed, so all the bins created in this storage type are not going to allow addition to stock even though in materials master this indicator is marked?
MY requirement is to not allow addition to stock to the bins if some material is placed in that bin even if there is available capacity, but this is true for 99% of the bins, meaning I need for 5 bins in particular, system allow addition to stock because I want to place in there 10 different materials that are really small compared to all other materials.
How can I achieve this?

When thinking of this setting you told me everything will work perfec if it worked, but even if I put in the customizing of storage type Addition to stock "M" and in the material master I mark the flag for addition to stock this does not work as spected, when I receive a PO with 2 materials on it, they go to 902, then I try to process the posting change notice but I get error no destination storage bin could be found in storage type XXX
These 2 materials have the same storage section, and I have correctly defined a strategy to place accordingly this storage section,
The current putaway is L next empty bin, and if I change to "I" addn to stock then system allows the putaway but just for one materials automatically, with the second one I still get the error but If I manually type the bin of the storage section then It allows putaway too.
Can you explain what needs to be done to allow putaway of stock in a storage type wich is divided into 3 storage sections, 2 of them are assigned to two bins each (2X2=4), and the last storage section is linked only to one bin.
The rare thing here is that in the first 2 storage section that have 2 bins each, I can put material on it only one palled on each bin, if for some reason only half pallet is placed, then no more stock can be placed there, How to check this capacities?
And for last the strategy is that system tries to putaway first in storage section 1, if no empty bin then try in sto section 2, and if no empty bin there, then it should go to storage section 3 (wich has only one bin attached) but I want to make this bin like infinite capacity so if there is no room in the first two storage sections (4 bins) then it will go to the las storage section wich can allow addition to stock and mix storage.
Please your inputs will be really appreciated

Change destination storage during putaway

I would need to be able to change the destination storage bin during putaway. I;ve set the indicator in the storage type, however, I am not able to change the destination bin. Any suggestions?

stock removal from or putaway into bulk storage
two-step confirmation
transaction Confirm single item
the case where you are using a putaway strategy
all other items in a TO with storage units, if you have already confirmed the first item for the storage unit. The system changes the destination storage bin for all dependent items during confirmation of the first item.
stock removals from a bulk storage managed with storage units"
As I wrote Continuous inventory upon placement into stock indicator must be unchecked.

TO storage bin proposed u00BF?

I have a material with stock in storage bin 1, 2 and 3 that belong to the same storage type. The material picking strategy is F (fixed) and the material has the storage bin 1 setted in the material master.
I created a TO and it proposed to pick from storage bin 1 and 3, while storage 2 has stock ...
Have you idea why could be this happening? I checked the storage bin and it isn´t locked, the material has stock ... what other condition is working in storage bin determination?

WM auto determination for storage bin

In the WM , presently auto TR-TO is designed and the system determine the storage Bin automatically. when we transfer the stock from interim.
My question if the material is maintain in more then one sotrage bin. How the system determine the storage bin?

Dear,
With stock determination, you can use strategies for material withdrawal for goods issues and stock transfers if the material is maintain in more then one storage bin.
Stock determination allows you to determine stocks from different source.
In Customizing of the materials management, you determine a cross-application strategy for stock determination under Materials Management --> Inventory Management and Physical Inventory --> Stock Determination --> Define Strategies for Stock Determination. The system should reduce the stocks on the basis of this strategy.
You assign a stock determination group to the material in the material master record.
In Customizing of materials management, assign the stock determination rule to application Warehouse Management under Materials Management --> Inventory Management and Physical Inventory --> Stock Determination --> Assign Stock Determination Rule in the Applications --> Warehouse Management.

updated 01-01-01.. system is automatically remaining quantity 4000 is updates in return stock bin in transfer order..i want to 1000
qty should be updated in 01-01-01 and remainin quantity should be update the sequence of BIN Like 01-01-02.
where i made mistake the configuration....

Adding Storage Bin Number to Material Issue Slip - RIPRGI00

Hello,
I have a request to add the storage bin number to the Material Issue Slip with output type zpmm. However, I need help on where in the code I need to add this field. I know a program change needs to happen in RIPRGI00, and the SAPscript layout Z_PM_COMMON needs to be changed too. I believe the storage bin number field is RESBD-LGORT. Please correct me if I'm wrong so far. Your guidance is appreciated.

If you're talking about MM Storage Bin it is maintained in MARD-LGPBE.
It's maintained at material master level in "Plant/stor data" view 1. (you need to enter the storage location in org. level in MM03 to be able to even see the field.
