Destinations jump queries

Hello,
I understand that to define the destiny of the jump is performed queries from the transaction RSBBS, but what is clear is not me if I define a destination for a jump querie that run from BEX analyzer, the same fate jump me serves to execute the same querie in WEB, or I have to define another to operate a Web?
Regards,

You don't have to create new query to run it on Web. But it is better to have a distinction in the name space to differentiate between Bex Queries and Portal/Web queries.
In RSBBS you just need to define the name of the query where you have to jump to.It should be very simple and clear.
Hope this helps.

  • BI RRI for Jump Queries

    Hi,
We configured BI Jump queries from BW to ECC systems. When BW jumps on to ECC system it uses remote user configured in the Source System and it launches ITS url on ECC system which gives the results after passing user ID and Password.
    My question here is:
    1. Is it possible to configure such a way that it will not use Remote user configured in Source System. I am OK with creating another source system for the same SID and System. I need to know how to create additional source system for same SID and System if this helps.
    2. Even if we use Remote user is there a possibility of not prompting for user ID and Password when it jumps to ECC system?
The query goes in to ECC like this
End user from BW Bex ---> ECC Remote user on ECC (How SSO will work in this case)
Is it possible to user current user by creating one more source system and a seperate RFC?

Please search the forum and you will find lots of good info on both of your questions.

  • Question on Jump Queries

    Hello  Everyone,
Generally we build the jump queries in RSBBS and do the config to create jump query link from summary report to a detail report.
I know how to find the relationship for set of queries whether they have jump queries or not.
But I don't know if I have the detail query and now I need to find the parent query.  I have a requirement  in which the list of queries ( child queries - detail queries ) and need to find the Parent Query ( summary report) .
Steps to find the Jump query links (like summary to details query relationship).. Follow the below steps.
Go to SE11 -> RSZELTDIR table name ->
Provide your summary query name 'Query 1' in MAPNAME and OBJVERS A. Now you get
the ELTUID of that summary query
Now go to SE11 -> RSBBSQUERY and provide
ELTUID [of Query 1] and now you see list of RONAM connected with this query.
Again get RONAM from RSBBSQUERY and provide it in
SE 11 -> RSZELTDIR -- ELTUID..now you get your detailed query name 'Query 2'
    in MAPNAME of RSZELTDIR
Similary I need to know how to find if I have Child query ( detail report ) and now I need to find the Parent report ( summary report). I tried finding out but did not succeed. Need your assistance.
    Looking forward for your inputs.
    Appreiciate your help in advance.
    John.

    Hi John,
    Try this;
    1. Go to RSZELTDIR table name -> Provide your child query name 'Query2' in MAPNAME and OBJVERS A. Now you get the ELTUID of that child query (say query2ELT).
    2. Go to RSBBSQUERY and provide query2ELT* in RONAM field. Don't forget to add * to query2ELT.
Now you get the ELTUID of the parent query in ELTUID ( say query1ELT).
    3. Go to RSZELTDIR table and provide query1ELT in ELTUID field and OBJVERS A. Then in MAPNAME you will find the parent query.

  • SAP Tables for Bex Jump Queries

  • Partition a cube, Jump queries.

    Hi all,
    1. When do we partition a cube?
    2. Why should we link reports in jump queries? Where do we use them?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sameer.

    Hi,
    For Partition of cube
Just right click on Infocube -> Change or doble click on the infocube to go to infocube maintenace. From the menu choose Extras ->Partioning.
Now ,if say, your requirement is to extract data as it is from different tables, you can go with view. But if there is some complex business logic to be included, you can do that in a FM.
Check the folowing links for jumping.

  • Transport Request for Jump Queries

    Hi,
When i try to create a transport request for the jump queries using the transport connection button in rsbbs tcode i am able to create only for the sender query but
my jump query has one sender and two receiver queries.
Could anyone of you tell me the process of creating a transport request for the jump query,
    regards,
    vamsi

    Hi,
the request for the jump queries contains for sure the jump queries. Edit the request and double click on the entries and you will see that it transports the contents of tables rsbbsquery, rsbbsqrydir, rsbbsqrymapping... for the key arguments <your sender query> or <your sender cube>. Those table entries will contain also the information about the receivers.
    regards
    Siggi

  • PLEASE EXPLAIN JUMP QUERIES........

    Hi Experts,
Can someone please explain to me the concept of JUMP QUERIES.
Any documentation would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi,
Jump Queries: This is also known as Report to Report Interface (RRI). Here, we have 2 queries that get linked up. One is a Sender Query and the other is a Receiver Query.
Define 2 queries and have a few characteristics in common.
Goto t.code RSBBS. Fill in the query from which you want the Jump, ie. Sender Query. Then give the name of the Receiver Query. Here, the queries are linked up.
Now, when you execute your Sender query, in the Context Menu (right click on the characteristic) you get the option of "_Go To_". On clicking that, a new screen opens up and the data from the Receiver Query is displayed.
    Hope this helps.

  • Jump Queries

    Hello All -
I am trying to enable a Jump functionality between two Web Templates. I have gone to Transaction RSBBS to create the sender/reciever assignment, I then tried to put in the Web Template name as the sender but I get an error that "query doesn't exsist". I'm thinking that there is a different way to assign sender/reciever for Web Templates. Can anybody provide any help as to what I could do?
    Thanks!!

    Thanks Guys!
In this transaction, I am only allowed to select a query as the sender. I am then able to select the web template as the reciever but what ends up happening is that when I jump from the query to the reciever, I get the variable entry screen of the web template.
the jump functionality works from query to query but I need it to work from web template to web template in the exact same way. Please help!!!
    thanks

  • Jump Queries issue

    Hi,
Right now I have a query in which the user provides the period range as a selection .
The query shows the Material, and sales dollars for that period range in the query. Now I have to provide a detail query which the user can jump to to see the datewise details for the dollars
Is a way I can pass the date selection criterial from the main query to the jump query.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Design the target query with all the necessary fields and variables Including the date field. In the transaction RSBBS give the source query which is the period range selection and click on create to give the target query and save the assignment.
    regards,
    Yamuna.

  • Named Destinations not Working in PDF

We have book files that contain several chapters and a glossary. We created numerous named destinations (specify named destination/jump to named destination) throughout the FM files. If we check the links in the FM files, they work fine (i.e. the linked word jumps to the correct spot). However once we PDF, it loses some (not all) of those links. Anyone have any suggestions for figuring out why or fixing the issue? To PDF, we print a PS file then distill it. We are using FM 10. There appears to be no rhyme or reason for which words work and which words don't. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

FM will always have at least two versions of the maker.ini on your system. The first version is in the default FM installation folder. The other is each of the Users areas. The one(s) in the Users area contain your specific settings to the FM environment. So it looks like your display settings are set properly in FM.
It really helps seeing the FM & PDF versions.
What specific version of the Palatino TTF font are you using (mine is the 5.00 as shown in the previous reply)?
In your FM paragraph designer, you seem to be using a Justified setting. What are your settings that you have in the Advanced properties of the paragraph designer for tthe Word Spacing options? I've tried duplicating your example (using a wid range of settings), but I don't seem to have any spill over issues:
In your example, it looks like only the word-spacings are messing up. The individual word lengths look to be correct when compared ot the FM file. Did you use any special spaces (i.e. non-breaking, numeric, etc.) between any of the words. (Turn on your View > Text Symbols in FM)? Are you using any special character tag, the default Emphasis tag or did you manually apply Italic (or footnote superscipt formatting) in the paragraphs that shoot over the margins?
What PDF joboptions did you use for creating the PDF?
Are you using the AdobePDF printer instance for creating the PDFs?
In Acrobat, have you checked to see if you actually have the Palatino Linotype being used in the PDF document? (Use either the File > Properties... and then look at the Font tab or use the Edit Object tool, click on the wonky text area and the right-click to get the Proprties context menu and look at the Text tab).
