Detail BIOS guide for MSI B75A-G43
Hello ,yesterday i was setting BIOS and i saw some extra features like "Windows 8 specific"
The guide i downloaded mentions nothing so i am wondering if there is another guide that has more detail...
You can download the full Manual from here http://www.msi.com/product/mb/B75AG43.html#/?div=Manual
The Windows 8 specific features should be disabled if you have Win 7.

MSI B75A-G43 runs fans at full speed for 1-2 seconds after powering on the PC
Hello fellow MSI owners,
I have a MSI B75A-G43 board and i was really curious why does the fans run at full speed for 1-2 seconds when the PC gets powered on and then gradually quiet down to normal speed. Other than this, the board works great. I have had only boards from Gigabyte previously and they do not exhibit this behavior, is this a MSI thing ?
Thanks,
AlexThanks for the answers fellas !
Indeed it looks like normal operation on the MSI boards ( may differ on the latest Bios versions maybe). PWM control probably works differently on the Gigabyte ones -

Installed BIOS: TV277MS.3A0
Hi,
I have the annoying problem with my new video card: a screen is periodically blinking in 2D. Probably that problem already solved in a newest BIOS?
I have to use "Legacy" mode because of my PC does not start otherwise.
Related hardware: MB: MSI P67A-GD65 B3 (BIOS 1.19), CPU: i7-2600K, Monitor: HP ZR2440w (DP connection).

Decompress the attached .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Then unpack the previously provided archive (xxx.rar) and put the included file (TVxxxxx.zzz) on that stick.
Rename TVxxxxx.zzz to zzz.rom.
Put the atiflash.exe from: https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2306/atiflash-4-17/
on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 zzz.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios. -

MOVED: Best BIOS setting for MSI K8N Plat + AMD 3000+ Venice + Geil Value RAM
This topic has been moved to AMD64 nVidia Based board.
Best BIOS setting for MSI K8N Plat + AMD 3000+ Venice + Geil Value RAMIf you want SSE3 support and you do not overclock, Bios 1.4 is the only one officially available (1.41beta is not official).
Try to upgrade to 1.4 and see it for yourself, do the upgrade with floppy in DOS so that you can save your old Bios.
I would rather wait till mid June when a less troublesome new bios is suppose to be availabe for NEO4 MBs. -

Is there a tutorial on how to flash the new BIOS?
Decompress the provided .rar archive with Winrar: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Then flash the desired file included with Nvflash for dos: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/nvflash_download.html
To do so rename the included file to .rom and create a dos bootstick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0)
Put nvflash and the vbios file on it and boot from the stick. Then type nvflash -4 -5 -6 gop.rom (if renamed vbios that way) and hit enter. Confirm the questions and let the tool flash.

Also, what is the difference between normal and ln2, or witch one is safe to use?
normal is the pre-overclocked default vbios. LN2 (which can be chosen via the selector switch on top of your card) is not factory overclocked but allows more extreme manual oc without the limits of normal vbios (more voltage and power draw allowed). This is especially needed for extreme oc like if using Liquid nitrogen (LN2) cooling for oc records. -
IS GTX 970 GAMING 4G compatible with MSI B75A-G43 ?
So i bought myself today this card GTX 970 GAMING 4G
When i went home to install it i found out that it does not work. the fans spool up, the msi logo lights up, but no picture on monitors, not even the bios screen. i managed to boot up with the ntegrated graphics, GTX does not show up in device manager. Motherboard bios is up to date with the last bios version from the boards support/dovnload page version 10.10
Motherboard: B75A-G43
PSU: Corsair CX750T
My question, are the graphics card and motherboard compatible, did i get a bad card or do i need a new motherboard. The warranty guys did check the card out and confirmed that it was dead on arrival. So they replaced the card and i had them check first if the new one works. It did so now it's waiting until evening for some gaming action

Where can I find a decent bios guide for...
The manual that came with my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum is useless for information.
Can anyone point me to a place where I can find a more accurate guide that will explain the settings in the bios?
Thanks

REQUEST: Latest BIOS update for MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G card
Hi, I'd like the latest BIOS version for my MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G card. I don't know what the serial number is, I don't have the box anymore. I've attached my BIOS file I saved through GPU-z. Thanks in advance!

Hi
Check graphics card itself, should have a sticker with S/N. Else it might be hard (or impossible) to provide correct vBIOS.

Bios Settings For MSI K8N Neo4/SLI Platinum MB
Hello all... Has anyone came up with the best and most stable bios settings for the MSI K8N Neo4/SLI Platinum motherboard yet. Specifically under the CPU and Memory menus.
If anyone has seen any, please post them. or post a link.
Thanks
DaaDoctorWell that depends on the installed CPU and memory, doesnt it? So I find that question kinda odd.

BIOS chip for MSI H67MA-E35 (B3)
Is it possible to get a BIOS chip for this motherboard?
I've got this motherboard from a friend. He wanted to flash the BIOS but it failed. The board was fine before the flash but now it can't do anything anymore. It's just the BIOS that's bad.
The chip seems to be relatively easy to remove. I would like to solder on a new one.
Someone who can help me out? Thanks!!!Its probably just a bricked board. I suggest you phone your local PC shops and find out which one has a ISP programmer. That way they can flash the latest, or any BIOS version for that matter, onto the current BIOS chip, ensuite. Here is an example of such a programmer http://www.xeltek.com/In-System-Programmers/SuperPro-IS01/
Fry's Electronics in the US seems to be quite helpful from what I understand. That is of course if you are from the US.
You can download the latest BIOS from the MSI site and take that along on a USB flash drive, and they will be able to flash it for you, at a fee of course, normally.
Else you can search the web for companies that specialise in sending you ready flashed BIOS chips, which will of course cost money as well and means you have to solder it onto the board.
Alternatively you can send the board to a MSI technical centre and they will also do the job.
You will have to weigh up the costs and time effort and decide. -
