Detail Designer for Job in Succession Planning!

Hi Luke,
I want to do some changes (like hiding button, removing or adding a tab) for 'Job' & 'Job Family' in details panel for Succession Planning. But I'm not able to see these objects in admin console of succession planning.
Do I need to make those changes through backend? If yes, please tell me the folder, where I can access relevant files & make the changes.

Hi Prashant,
The Job Family details panel can be edited in the AdminConsole. Go to the Positions module, select Job Families with Successors and then click Details Designer. After you changes make sure you go to the Profile section (the one after Details Designer) and click Copy From Details Designer so that your changes are also made in the Profile.
For the Job details panel you need to make changes at file level. The details panel presentation file controls the layout of the details panel. These are located in AppResources\detailspresentationconfiguration:
Job: SAPJobDetailsPresentation.xml
Job (Profile): SAPJobDetailsPresentationMoreDetails.xml
You may need to refer back to the details configuration to find the button section names. These are:
Job: SAPJobDetailsConfiguration.xml
Job (Profile): SAPJobMoreDetailsDetailsConfiguration.xml

as we face exactly the same problem, could you please be more specific on what has to be done so that we will be able to see the extra tab? I mean, we can see it in the administrator's console, but not in the user. It would be of great help if you could describe the steps and the content of what should be added, as we have no experience in xml coding.

Issues in career and succession planning in talent mangement

Dear Experts
We are configuring career and succession planning on EHP5, but observing following issues like I'm getting errors when running the calibration grid in Talent Assessment.
No entry for BAdI field RISK in table T77TMCAESFIELD
No entry for BAdI field CHANGE_NEED in table T77TMCAESFIELD
No entry for BAdI field RISK in table T77TMCAESFIELD
No entry for BAdI field IMPACT_LOSS in table T77TMCAESFIELD
Now as per the SCN inputs, while trying to enter these BADI fields in the above table by creating some dummy VB objects in existing appraisal template, its throwing me following dump, not sure the issue. Can someone please help me urgently in this regard.
Also in MSS, i am not finding any separate tab for career and succession planning. Please provide guidance where to find those also.

Succession Planning 2.1 integration with portal

In the installation guide for 2.1 Succession Planning, it mentions assigning users to one of the following portal roles after the portal content has been imported:
Manager Self-Service - portal_content/com.sap.pct/line_manager/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.bp_folder/
com.sap.pct.erp.mss.roles/com.sap.pct.erp.mss.manager_self_service
Talent Management Specialist - portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.erp.tms.bp_folder/com.
sap.pct.erp.tms.roles/com.sap.pct.erp.tms.14.tms
I just want to verify that both of the roles are not necessary, and only one will be sufficient.

Hi Eric,
Yes, you only need to assign one of these roles in the portal to the user. These roles are known to the Nakisa configurations, and allows the application to then provide additional content to the user according to the role they area assigned to.
You can also configure other role names in Nakisa for the same roles, or create different sets of security through the admin, though you will have to provide the names of the roles to the application yourself.

Succession Planning 3.0 : Successor Details Panel is empty

Hi,
I'm on Succession Planning 3.0, build 354.
When I do the following:
My Work Area -> My Org Unit -> Expand Position -> Expand Successor -> Double click on Successor
The Details Panel on the right is empty. I checked the corresponding Details Designer in Admin Console, it is empty also. Is this normal?

That is definitely not normal behaviour! You can probably correct the issue yourself in the XML, although if you aren't comfortable with doing that I would raiase an OSS note for a new build.

Remove Actions for Org Unit & Positiin in Succession Planning.

We are in process of implementing Nakisa 3.0 SP1.
In succession planning, we want to remove few actions for org units & position. I tried to look for the configuration of the same in admin console in detailed configuration for my positions & my org units, but could not find it. Please help.

Hi Prashant,
Do you mean the items in the Actions drop-down menu on the OrgUnit/Positions details panels? This cannot be done in the AdminConsole. You need to go to the <build>\AppResource\linkconfiguration folder and copy the files you want to change to <build>\.detla\AppResource\linkconfiguration folder and then change them.
I believe the files you want are SAPOrgUnitDetailsConfiguration.xml and SAPPositionDetailsConfiguration.xml. Just delete or comment out the lines for the actions you want to remove.

Job History in Succession Planning

Hi,
Has anyone used Oracle Succession Planning in R12.1.1 ?
I have setup the module as per the implementation guide.
I am not able to see the Job History of the employee in the Job History box.
Has anyone seen this work? Is there any additional configuration required ?
Any comments on this will he highly appreciated.

In 10.2.0.5 Grid Control, in order to speed up the response time for the page, 'All' behavior was changed to show only all Jobs executed in the past 24 hours. So when the job activity page loads, you see job history from only the last 24 hrs.
To view complete history, you can switch to advanced search and change search filters to view
complete history. This has been fixed in 11.1 by adding help text on the page.

I've just bought a Macbook Pro 15" and I'm trying to use Photoshop, but the resolution its displaying the images at for 100% are too small. I have to design for the web, so need to be intricate with detail, but I'm finding it adjusts the resolution of the image right down. (I mean you can see the image clearly, but it's too small to edit). When I look at Safari and see a web page at 100% it's clear, but the same page displayed in Photoshop CC appears 50% of the size (even though it says it's 100%) If I move the application window to another screen it adjusts it correctly – leaving all the pallettes, menus and tools correctly sized as they are on the retina display Is there some way to adjust the way Photoshop CC displays images so it is more consistent with what you actually see? There doesn't seem to be any answer on the Adobe forum, so hopefully someone here can shed some light. MacBook Pro with Retina display, 15", OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), Photoshop CC 2014

I tested both ways. With "open in low resolution" ckecked the size of the images is cool, but it is low-resolution including Photoshop appearance.
If "open in low resolution" is unckecked the appearance is good but the very small size.
See the image below. It has 650 x 732 px, 72 dpi. The font of the text "Neste aniversário ..." is with 18pt.

What should be the factors i should consider in my design specifically for non cumulative ke figures and how it is different from design for a regular (cumulative) key figure

Master Document for .XML entries in Nakisa Succession Planning 2.1

Hi all
Is there a master document(s) that I can download as to which entries needs to be maintained in the different .XML files controlling the Nakisa applications, especially Succession Planning is of interes.
I have alot of Zxxx-relationship that needs to be changed to relationships in the 74*-range, however I'm uncertain as to all the places relationship and objects should be replaced in the .XML documents.
The situation is that we started with a stand-alone Nakisa application and is now porting to the EHP4-supported version.

Hi Jakob,
I'm afraid there are no such guides. You will need to either engage with a consultancy with Nakisa skills, engage with Nakisa themselves or try and figure it out yourself. If you want some help on finding a suitable consultancy we can speak offline and I could point you in the right direction of someone in your region.
If you decided to try it yourself I would take a look at the downloadSchema.xml in the XML folder as this is where all configuration for Live data retrieval is contained.

Succession Planning 3.0 - Job Competencies - Hide Delete and Edit button

Hi,
In the detail panel of Job, there is a tab for Competencies.
How do I hide the Delete and Edit button for each of the competency that is in the listing?
I tried the file enable_actions.xsl and change the value to False.
<xsl:variable name="enable_edit_competency">false</xsl:variable>
<xsl:variable name="enable_delete_competency">false</xsl:variable>
This remove the Delete and Edit button in the Job details, but it also remove the buttons in employee details.
I want to keep the button in Employee Details.

I copied sap_competencies_xsl.xsl to zzsap_competencies_xsl.xsl
Then i changed the value
"$enable_delete_competency = 'na'"
Then, in sap_job_to_competencies.xsl
<xsl:include href="nakisa://Titan_Templates_SRS/ZZSAP_COMPETENCIES_XSL.xsl"/>
It works after a restart!
