  • Non-cumulative keyfigures in virutual multi providers in BI-7.

Is it possible to use non-cumulative keyfigures in virutual multi providers in BI-7? The Non-cumulative KFs are working in the cube. But when we create a virutual MP that contains this cube. They all are showing zero. Is this supported at all? Is there a note that we need to apply? Please help! This is BI-7.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Do not use more than one InfoCube with non-cumulative key figures in a MultiProvider since this may result in incorrect numbers in the query.
Refer to SAP Note 690475 on SAP Support Portal.

    Hi Attila,
there are demos available on the SAP Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com/healthcare-tutorials) that will give you a good impression of the key capabilities of SAP for Healthcare.
If you are particularly interested in the industry-specific solutions SAP Patient Management and SAP Ambulatory Care Management, the documentation is available in the SAP Help Portal (direct link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/59/1c86353e13d558e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm)

  • More detailed documentation of the data upload page set ?

    Hallo,
Is there more detailed documentation available of the Upload Wizard and Data Set definitions?
    In particular:
Is there a way to skip the Data Mapping part by providing a locally pre-recorded definition of the selected columns and their format, so this step can be skipped for the end user.
The predefined regions: "Data / Table Mapping - Data Upload Column Mapping" is not very transparent.
The bottom line is that I would like to skip this step completely, still leveraging the built in APEX capabilities.

    Hi Thomas,
The data upload was designed leaving the mapping step clear and accessible to the end user, in order to make sure, that the uploading of data does not end up by upload incorrect data.
The best way, I would advise you to match the column names of the files to be uploaded same as the column names of your table, that way the matching is done for you.
Otherwise, in case you are trying to skip the second step, you probably dont need the wizard, instead you can just write the code that read the file and upload directly to the table.

Where Can I get documentation on Rights Management Architecure? I am particularly keen about security keys are handled during RMS workflow.
In AD RMS I can find detailed documentation about various certificates used and flow of various keys during encryption and decryption cycle. Also details
    of deployment in clusters.

    Sharang
I'm not sure if this document ( http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/services.pdf ) is detailed enough (see page 42), but it does have some info regarding how documents are secured with Rights Management.

  • Bex Report / Multi Providers

Hello to all experts and BW users,
I have question regarding advanced Bex reports.  Is it possible to have one Bex report (Excel Workbook, with different sheets) using more than one multi providers or info cubes?
The reason for this question is simply that I would like to combine several KPI reports in one Summary KPI report for our MB. (Without creating a “Master” multi provider on top of the current multi providers)
    Many thanks in advance friends!
    Boyke

    Hi Boyke,
Open a query in BEx and then click anywhere in the blank area of the Excel sheet(same or different) where you would like to add the other KPI report. Then select the Menu option as described below.
You can use the "Insert Query" option in the Tools button available in BEx to combine two or more queries in a single workbook.
When you select this option it will give you a list of all existing queries in the BW system select the one you wish to add.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Any more detailed documentation than Help?

    I suspect I know the answer, but . . .
Being new to Automator, the Help documentation is good for the basics, but not details.
For example, I wanted to Pause for 5 minutes. Tested with 10 seconds, got everything working, tried to change 10 seconds to 300 and got an error that says "Formatting Error." Huh? By experimenting, of course, I eventually figured out that 59 seconds is the maximum.
Also, I can't find any explanation of Get... vs. Find... vs. Filter... actions. Figuring it out wasted a lot of time.
Is this sort of thing documented anywhere? Or is trial and error the only way?

There are a few resources out there, such as:
    http://automator.us/leopard/index.html
    http://www.apple.com/pro/techniques/automator/index.html
The general idea is for an Automator action to be simple enough that the description is the documentation, although some fall a bit short.

  • Creating recommendations by system in Multi providers

    hi all,
While we are creating dimensions on mp? we have the options of creating recommendations by ourself nor to carry out by the system itself.
When shall we go for creating recommendations by ourselves and when shall we go for creating recommendations by the system.
Can anyone give examples when shd we go for system and when shd we opt for ourself.
    regds
    haritha

    hi,
Mostly for MP "recommendations by ourselves" is suggested.
For Sap Defined we can go for System proposed.

There is no change in creating info objects.
    Cubes:
    1. Right click the info area and chose create info cube.
    2. Select the type of cube you wish to create and comnfirm your selections.
    3. The next screen is where you actually define the cube.
    4. Now you will notice the difference.
    5. Place your cursur on key fig and right click and chose infio object direct input; chose your key fig for the cube.
    6. Similarly for the dimension; right click the dimension and chose inbfo object direct input, chose your chars and out them in dimension.
    7. Activate the cube.
    Multi cube:
    1. Right click the info area - chose create multi provider.
    2. select the cubes , DSOs, info objects that you need for the multi provider.
    3. On the right side of the screen, you will see all the objects that you selected and open the key fig and dimension and drag the ones you need to define the multi provider.
    4. Identify the chars and key figs.
    5. Acvitate the mullti provider.

  • Where can I find some detailed documentation?

  • Error when adding Non-Cumulative InfoCube to a Multi-Providers

I want to include an InfoCube using non-cumulative key figures (0IC_C03) to a MultiProvider that includes other basic cubes.  Is this possible?  I thought I read that you could include one non-cumulative cube in a MultiProvider.  When I added 0IC_C03 to the MultiProvider I get the following error when activating: "Define the characteristics of the validity table for non-cumulatives."  The validity table is defined for 0IC_C03, do I need to do anything special in the multiprovider?  Any ideas on what I need to do?
    Thanks,
    Chris
