Sachin,
COOIS is a report where you can get all the required data for a production order.
It has got two important elements like List, profile and layout
List  - will decide what data you want to see i.e. You want to see order header data, component data or confirmation data.
Profile – will decide in the data selected which fields are to be shown, how it should be sorted etc
Layout – you can use the Profile to get the fields, then do all you operation in the report(sort, subtotal…etc) then save it as layout. This can be used as your default layout and you need not use profile(no profile option)
You can opt for production order or and planned order
In the selection section you have series of fields from which you can restrict the data selection.
One important option is absolute dates and relative dates.
Absolute date is the data in date format
Relative date is how many date before today and how many days after today in from and to option
Inside the report you can make all sorts of fields selection/sort etc in ALV grid report

  • DPM failing SQL backups due to error: "the SQL Server instance refused a connection to the protection agent. (ID 30172 Details: Internal error code: 0x80990F85)

I ran across this error starting on 6/4/2011 and have been unable to find the root of the problem.  In our environment, we have a DPM 2010 server dedicated to backing up all our SQL envrionment (about 45 SQL Servers total).  All of the SQL
environment is backing up fine except for a SQL Cluster Application.  This particular SQL Instances is part of a 6 node failover cluster with 6 SQL Instances distributed amongst them.  The other 5 SQL instances in the cluster are backing
up fine; only one instance is failing.  The DPM Alerts section shows this error when attempting to do a SQL backup of one of the databases on this SQL instance:
    Affected area: KEN-PROD-VDB001\POSREPL1\master
    Occurred since: 6/11/2011 11:00:56 PM
Description: Recovery point creation jobs for SQL Server 2008 database KEN-PROD-VDB001\POSREPL1\master on SQL Server (POSREPL1) - Store Settings.ken-prod-cl004.aarons.aaronrents.com have been failing. The number of failed recovery point creation jobs =
    4.
If the datasource protected is SharePoint, then click on the Error Details to view the list of databases for which recovery point creation failed. (ID 3114)
The DPM job failed for SQL Server 2008 database KEN-PROD-VDB001\POSREPL1\master on SQL Server (POSREPL1) - Store Settings.ken-prod-cl004.aarons.aaronrents.com because the SQL Server instance refused a connection to the protection agent. (ID 30172 Details:
    Internal error code: 0x80990F85)
     More information
Recommended action: This can happen if the SQL Server process is overloaded, or running short of memory. Please ensure that you are able to successfully run transactions against the SQL database in question and then retry the failed job.
     Create a recovery point...
Resolution: To dismiss the alert, click below
     Inactivate alert
I have checked the cluster node this particular SQL instance is running on using Perfmon and the machine is nowhere near capacity on CPU, memory, network, or Disk I/O.  I have failed this SQL Application to another node in the cluster and
receive the same error (this other node has another clustered SQL application on it that is actively running as well as backing up fine).  The only thing that I am aware of that has changed is that we installed SP2 for SQL 2008 about 2 weeks prior
to when the failures started to occur.  However, we updated all six clustered SQL Instances at the same time and only this one is having this issue so I don't believe that caused the problem.  We are running SQL 2008 SP2 (version 10.0.4000.0)
on all clustered instances along with DPM 2010 (version 3.0.7696.0) on this particular DPM server that has the issue.
One last thing, I have also noticed errors in the event log pertaining to the same SQL backups that are failing (but the time stamps are not concurrent with each backup attempt):

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Don't know if this helps or not, but I also noticed another peculiar issue that is derived from this problem.  If I go to "Modify protection group", then expand the cluster, then expand all six nodes in the cluster, five of them show "All SQL Servers"
and allow me to expand the SQL Instance and show all databases; the one that is having a problem backing up, when I expand the node, doesn't even show that SQL exists on the node, when in fact, it does.
I would also like to add that the databases on this node that will not backup are running fine.  They run hundreds of transactions daily so we know SQL itself is OK.  Even though it is a busy SQL Server, there is plenty of available resources as
the SQL buffer and memory counters show the node is not under durress.

  • From which infotype we get details about empoyee group ,subgroup company co

From which infotype we get details about empoyee group ,subgroup company code.  based on the selected job position for new employee.

    Hi Aruna,
If i can understand your question better, when we do the hiring how to fetch the default EG/ESG/Co.Code/PSA etc....based on the input of position...
When you create position in OM; also create
    1. Infotype 1008 - Account assignment - To Fetch Co. Code, PA, PSA, Controlling area
    2. Inotype 1013 - EG/ESG - To Fetch Emp Group/Emp SubGroup
Now when you run the hiring action, on IT0000, input the position and hit an enter key...this will call the related values (if integration is active).
    Good Luck !!!!

  • (ID 43 Details: Internal error code: 0x8099090E) and (ID 60 Details: Internal error code: 0x809909B0)

    Hi,
I have a problem with one DPM 2012 SP1 installed on Windows 2012 R2 server with SQL installed locally on the server.
We have installed this server for about 1 month ago and almost every job work grate until now.
The May 17 there were a DPM Rollup 6 (KB2958098 – version 4.1.3441.0) that was trying to install but it failed. But it looks like it has installed anyway because in DPM it say 4.1.3441.0.
Now DPM is reporting a lots of critical and warnings.
We backup Windows 2003, Windows 2008 and Windows 2012 servers and cannot us DPM 2012 R2.
I have upgraded agents on protected servers but it didn’t help.
    I have restarted DPM server
This error message is in DPM. It does not matter if it is Replica is inconsistent or Replica point creation failed.
DPM failed to communicate with the protection agent on DPM SERVER because the agent is not responding. (ID 43 Details: Internal error code: 0x8099090E)
The protection agent on DPM SERVER was temporarily unable to respond because it was in an unexpected state. (ID 60 Details: Internal error code: 0x809909B0)
In Event Viewer-Application on DPM server I see this error.

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

It looks like something is causing DPMRA service to crash on your DPM server.
My suggestion for you would be to move to DPM 2012 R2 since it now supports backups of Windows Server 2003 with UR2.
    Thanks.

  • Need details about "Lock Profiling" tab of JRockit JRA

    Hi,
I'm experimenting with the JRockit JRA tool: I think this is a very useful tool ! It provides very valuable information.
About locks ("Lock Profiling" tab), since JRockit manages locks in a very sophisticated manneer, it enables to get very important information about which monitors are used by the application, helping for improving the performances.
Nevertheless, the BEA categories (thin/fat, uncontended/contended, recursive, after sleep) are not so clear. A short paper explaining what they mean would greatly help.
Fat contended monitors cost the most, but maybe 10000 thin uncontended locks cost the same as 1 fat contended lock does. We don't know.
So, there is a lack of information about the cost (absolute: in ms, or relative: 1 fat lock costs as N thin locks) of each kind of monitor. This information would dramaticaly help people searching where improvements of lock management are required in their application.
    Thanks,
    Tony

occurs in the following scenario:synchronized(foo) {  // first time thread takes lock
synchronized(foo) {  // this time, the lock is taken recursively
}The recursive lock taking may also occur in a method call several levels
down - it doesn't matter. Recursive locks are not neccessarily any sign of
bad programming, at least not if the recursive lock taking is done by a
    separate method.
The good news is that recursive lock taking in JRockit is extremely fast.
In fact, the cost to take a lock recursively is almost negligable. This is
regardless if the lock was originally taken as a thin or a fat lock
    (explained in detail below).
Now let's talk a bit about contention. Contention occurs whenever a thread
tries to take a lock, and that lock is not available (that is, it is held
by another thread). Let me be clear: contention ALWAYS costs in terms of
performance. The exact cost depends on many factors. I'll get to some more
details on the costs later on.
So if performance is an issue, you should strive to avoid contention.
Unfortunately, in many cases it is not possible to avoid contention -- if
you're application requires several threads to access a single, shared
resource at the same time, contention is unavoidable. Some designs are
better than others, though. Be careful that you don't overuse
synchronized-blocks. Minimize the code that has to be run while holding a
highly-contended lock. Don't use a single lock to protect unrelated
resources, if that lock proves to be easily contended.
In principle, that is all you can do as an application developer: design
your program to avoid contention, if possible. There are some experimental
flags to change some of the JRockit locking behaviour, but I strongly
discourage anyone from using these. The default values is carefully
trimmed, and changing this is likely to result in worse, rather than
    better, performance.
Still, I understand if you're curious to what JRockit is doing with your
application. I'll give some more details about the locking strategies in
    JRockit.
All objects in Java are potential locks (monitors). This potential is
realized as an actual lock as soon as any thread enters a synchronized
block on that object. When a lock is "born" in this way, it is a kind of
lock that is known as a "thin lock". A thin lock has the following
    characteristics:
    * It requires no extra memory -- all information about the lock is stored
    in the object itself.
    * It is fast to take.
    * Other threads that try to take the lock cannot register themselves as
    contending.
The most costly part of taking a thin lock is a CAS (compare-and-swap)
operation. It's an atomic instruction, which means as far as CPU
instructions goes, it is dead slow. Compared to other parts of locking
(contention in general, and taking fat locks in specific), it is still
    very fast.
For locks that are mostly uncontended, thin locks are great. There is
little overhead compared to no locking, which is good since a lot of Java
code (especially in the class library) use lot of synchronization.
However, as soon as a lock becomes contended, the situation is not longer
as obvious as to what is most efficient. If a lock is held for just a very
short moment of time, and JRockit is running on a multi-CPU (SMP) machine,
the best strategy is to "spin-lock". This means, that the thread that
wants the lock continuously checks if the lock is still taken, "spinning"
in a tight loop. This of course means some performance loss: no actual
user code is running, and the CPU is "wasting" time that could have been
spent on other threads. Still, if the lock is released by the other
threads after just a few cycles in the spin loop, this method is
preferable. This is what's meant by a "contended thin lock".
If the lock is not going to be released very fast, using this method on
contention would lead to bad performance. In that case, the lock is
"inflated" to a "fat lock". A fat lock has the following characteristics:
    * It requeries a little extra memory, in terms of a separate list of
threads wanting to acquire the lock.
    * It is relatively slow to take.
    * One (or more) threads can register as queueing for (blocking on) that
    lock.
A thread that encounters contention on a fat lock register itself as
blocking on that lock, and goes to sleep. This means giving up the rest of
its time quantum given to it by the OS. While this means that the CPU will
be used for running real user code on another thread, the extra context
switch is still expensive, compared to spin locking. When a thread does
this, we have a "contended fat lock".
When the last contending thread releases a fat lock, the lock normally
remains fat. Taking a fat lock, even without contention, is more expensive
than taking a fat lock (but less expensive than converting a thin lock to
a fat lock). If JRockit believes that the lock would benefit from being
thin (basically, if the contention was pure "bad luck" and the lock
normally is uncontended), it might "deflate" it to a thin lock again.
A special note regarding locks: if wait/notify/notifyAll is called on a
lock, it will automatically inflate to a fat lock. A good advice (not only
for this reason) is therefore not to mix "actual" locking with this kind
of notification on a single object.
JRockit uses a complex set of heuristics to determine amongst other
    things:
    * When to spin-lock on a thin lock (and how long), and when to inflate it
to a fat lock on contention.
    * If and when to deflate a fat lock back to a thin lock.
    * If and when to skip on the fairness on a contended fat lock to improve
    performance.
These heuristics are dynamically adaptive, which means that they will
automatically change to what's best suited for the actual application that
    is being run.
Since the switch beteen thin and fat locks are done automatically by
JRockit to the kind of lock that maximizes performance of the application,
the relative difference in performance between thin and fat locks
shouldn't really be of any concern to the user. It is impossible to give a
general answer to this question anyhow, since it differs from system to
system, depending on how many CPU:s you have, what kind of CPU:s, the
performance on other parts of the system (memory, cache, etc) and similar
factors. In addition to this, it is also very hard to give a good answer
to the question even for a specific system. Especially tricky is it to
determine with any accuracy the time spent spinning on contended thin
locks, since JRockit loops just a few machine instuctions a few times
before giving up, and profiling of this is likely to heavily influence the
time, giving a skewed image of the performance.
    To summarize:
If you're concerned about performance, and can change your program to
avoid contention on a lock - then do so. If you can't avoid contention,
try to keep the code needed to run contended to a minimum. JRockit will
then do whatever is in its power to run your progam as fast as possible.
Use the lock information provided by JRA as a hint: fat locks are likely
to have been contended much or for a long time. Put your effort on
    minimizing contention on them.

  • Details about IDOC

    Dear all,
please give me detail about IDOC i IDES . I dont know about the IDOC.
    Thanks& regards

    Hi Sourabh,
    IDoc refers to Intermediary Document.
I is primarely a Intermediary Document that is being used for data flow between SAP and other Third Party Tools.
When the user is using a Third Party tool to enter data instead of SAP, and this data has to be moved into SAP, then a I DOC is being created, where in we specify the matching fields between SAP and the fields in the Third Party.
This is used noth ways i.e for receiving data and also sending data to Third Party Tool.
Once the I DOc is being created, we provide the information to EDI consultant who would provide the required link between SAP and the Outside Tool.
Further we use T code WE19 for creating a I DOC and WE02 for viewing it
Hope I have provided enough information to you regarding I DOC.
    Regards
    Phani

  • Need details about messageName

I am using the following code to display a confirm message, once a new record inserted. This a program from the Tool Box tutorial.
    MessageToken[] tokens = { new MessageToken("EMP_NAME", employeeName),
    new MessageToken("EMP_NUMBER", employeeNum) };
    OAException confirmMessage = new OAException("AK", "FWK_TBX_T_EMP_CREATE_CONFIRM", tokens,
    OAException.CONFIRMATION, null);
    pageContext.putDialogMessage(confirmMessage);
This is working fine. But I could not understand what are these values "AK" and "FWK_TBX_T_EMP_CREATE_CONFIRM". Do we need to configure these any where in the code?
Please give me the details about this?

    Please see
    <JDEV_CLIENT_INSTALL_DIR>/jdevdoc/javadoc/fwk/oracle/apps/fnd/framework/OAException.html#OAException(java.lang.String, java.lang.String, oracle.apps.fnd.common.MessageToken[], byte, java.lang.Exception[])
The arguments are "Application Short Name", "Message Name".
You would need to define the message in FND Message Dictionary.
