Details of CRM iView properties delivered by BP-CRM

Hi, SDN Fellows.
Our portal have installed with CRM Business Package (based on CRM 5.0).
I am trying to figure out and get more detail information on different CRM iviews delivered by the Business Package. I wish to know the properties of each iview, and some guide to configure them.
For instance,
When I create a   "com.sap.pct.crm.app.channelmgmt iview", I can choose any of these portal component:
     CallBackiView
     DocOverview
     ExtAppTerm
     GenericFSCMComponent
     GenericICSSComponent
     GenericISAComponent
     ISalesShop
     PortalTerm
and I need to know where I can get a detail description about its functionality and its iview properties.
This is the list of CRM iviews (par type) listed (coming with the BP):
com.sap.pct.crm.app.activitymanagement
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.channelmgmt
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.commissionsimulator
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.erms

     com.sap.pct.crm.app.favoritesalesdocs
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.kmext
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.leadmanagement
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.quickcreate
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.salesmgrlistdeals
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.salesreplistdeals
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.sdbreport
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.sis
     com.sap.pct.crm.app.sisopt
     com.sap.pct.crm.core.admintools
     com.sap.pct.crm.core.centralsearch
     com.sap.pct.crm.core.drnavigation
     com.sap.pct.crm.core.factsheet
     com.sap.pct.crm.core.factsheetframework
     com.sap.pct.crm.core.masteriviews
     com.sap.pct.crm.core.services
     com.sap.pct.crm.core.userlinkrepositoryfilter
     com.sap.pct.crm.dam.dam
     com.sap.pct.crm.dam.damconv
     com.sap.pct.crm.dam.damrm
     com.sap.pct.crm.factsheet.account
     com.sap.pct.crm.mkt.calendar
     com.sap.pct.crm.simplePage
I wonder is there a document which describe the detail of all these iviews?
Thanks in advance,
Kent

  • Get IView Properties and portal details Programatically

    Hello Experts,
I have created one WDA application and deployed the same on portal. I need to access iView properties of the iView programatically.
Is there any class in WD which will gives me iView properties like, PCD location, application parameter etc. Also please give me the class name which gives portal details as well on which iView is running.
    Thanks,
    Prashant

    Hi,
For portal integration we use IF_WD_PORTAL_INTEGRATION, but this interface doesnot provide those details.
When you run the WDA application from portal, there are some portal person can fill those applciation parameters like Iview name PCD path etc...so that you can read them in WDA application like any other portal parameter.
Can you search as IF_WD_PORTAL* and CL_WDR_PORTAL* it may  help..

  • Details button on iView not visible..Please guide :)

    Hello All,
Am working on a CRM iView. As in other EP iViews, am not able to view the Details icon which appears in the right corner of iView tray.
I have set the properties like Add to Favorites, Refresh which would be visible (context menu) in the above mentioned icon.
How can I enable this icon?
    Awaiitng Reply.
    Thanks & Warm Regards,
    Ritu

    Hi Karin,
Thank  you for your reply and I found a way out of this.....but its not exactly what i am looking for
in an iView, when you view the properties, you get propeties like iView Tray along with other properties which when enabled are visible/accessing as context menu in the Options icon (which is along with the Collapse icon) but inspite of enabling it, when you preview it, it is not visible. you need to attach it to a page to view its Tray options.
so by doing this i got my solution but what i wanted to know that there are ways that inspite of doing what i mentioned above, i can still hide it.
I think there was a WebLog on this but dont remember now.
Please do let me know ur suggestions for the same......
    Awaiting Reply.
    Thanks & Warm Regards,

I don't think this can be done since WDJ apps can also run standalone (not in a portal)

  • Cannot find Display State Iview Properties

    Dear all,
While trying to create home page, I look IView properties and find a great setting Display State.
The problem is I cannot find this parameter in my URL IView properties.
    I use EP 6 SP13.
    Thanks for help.

    Hi Beata,
first let us clarify some wording:
    A <i>PAR</i> is a <i>Portal ARchive</i>. It is a zip in a certain format. It contains a <i>portal application</i>.
    A <i>portal application</i> consists of <i>components</i> and/or <i>services</i>.
An <i>iView</i> is somehow an "instance" of a <i>component</i>. It is created within the portal. There are <i>no iViews in a PAR</i> (like: "There are no objects in a JAR (but classes).").
With this in mind, the question is if there really exist an iView with the name you are looking for.
What you see under Portal Runtime Tools is the application with it's components. Anyhow, the default properties of an iView or the properties of a component if called without packaged within an iView are the ones defined within portalapp.xml of the corresponding application.
But if you change values in there, the changes are somewhat "global", so you should be sure if the component in question is called via an iView or just "as the component".
The location of the portalapp.xml is under \usr\sap\<...>\JC<...>\j2ee\cluster\server<...>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\<appName>\portalapp.xml
    Hope it helps

  • CRM IC 4.0 - Upgrade to CRM 7.0 - Level of rework that will be required?

I have posted a question in CRM upgrade forum and I thought will have it posted in CRM IC forums to see if there would be response.
CRM IC 4.0 - Upgrade to CRM 7.0
    Thanks,

    Hello Jayant,
Good question. I've written about this in my SAP Pressbook, "Maximizing Your SAP CRM Interaction Center". The short answer is that you will need to rewrite all of your custom ZBSP pages (assuming that they are still needed based on some of the new features and capabilities availabl ein RM 7.0) due to architecture changes. You will also need to re-do some of your customizing as well (e.g., NavBar, Scripts, etc.).
The biggest change is that you might experience in the BOL layer is, however, the complete BOL support of all CRM objects including all sub objects, relations and attributes. So the enhancements that you have done in your 4.0 project might not even be necessary anymore unless you've introduced completely new objects. Also fields you added via EEW will be available in the respective BOL objects without manual code effort.
On the UI layer itself you have to be aware that even though the whole CRM 7.0 UI is based on the same UI framework as CRM 4.0 IC WebClient, this framweork has been significantly enhanced and supports now also concepts as components (to organize, structure and manage different areas of the CRM application), reuse via components and windows etc. Also there are two new sets of tags: THTMLB (Low level UI controls such as input fields, tables and trees) and CHTMLB. The latter one contains eta tags for configuable views that allow the adjustment of views via the configuration tool, which allows defining fields and arrangement on a form or a table as well as re-labelling.
Also the toolset in general has been heavily enhanced and there's also the concept of modification-free enhancements on the UI layer based on inheritance. The upgrade will be "technical" meaning that all your stuff will survive but due to the componentization of the UI framework will not run out of the box in the new environment. You will have to "re-do" investments you've done on the UI side - however this should be much easier compared to 4.0 due to configurability of the UI and the improved toolset.
Although SAP provides an upgrade path from earlier releases of CRM to new CRM 2006s/CRM 2007, there is no upgrade path for the Interaction Center. Even if you are already using the IC WebClient in CRM 2005, much of your IMG configuration settings and related customizing and objects will need to be reimplemented. This is partially due to technical changes that were introduced to allow the rest of CRM to run on the IC WebClient architecture. Some examples of affected areas include:
    - Interactive Scripting (scripts must be manually recreated in the Interactive Script Editor due to incompatibilities)
    - Navigation Bar configuration (a new configuration concept was introduced and customizing for the navigation bar needs to be redone in transaction CRMC_UI_NBLINKS)
    - Launch Transactions (a new configuration concept was introduced and launch transactions must be regenerated in transaction CRMC_UI_ACTIONWZ)
    - Alerts (alerts must be recreated using the new Alert Editor tool available in the IC Manager CRM business role)
    - Mail Forms (mail forms must be recreated in new HTML-based Mail Form tool available in the IC Manager CRM business role)
    - Activity Clipboard (customizing for the activity clipboard needs to be maintained in the new view cluster CRMC_UI_CLIP)
    - IC WebClient Profiles (the IC WebClient Profile concept was replaced by the CRM business role concept and is now maintained in transaction CRMC_UI_PROFILE).
    Warm regards,
    John

  • Java-iViews-Errors in BP for CRM

After importing BP 6.0 for CRM 4.0, the Java iViews (e.g. Today's Activities or My Tasks) don't work. Instead we get an error like this:
    Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
    iView : N/A
    Component Name : N/A
    com/sap/pct/crm/generics/context/CRMContextException.
    Exception id: 08:52_11/10/04_0004
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
The WAS and ITS iViews of the BP are running fine and the import log of the BP says the iViews are correctly installed.
Is there something wrong with the JCO?

    Hi Marko,
I don't know the BP, but this exception clearly states that within the method <i>getPage</i> within the class <i>ListPortalComponent</i> a <i>CRMContextException</i> is referenced (probably should be thrown), which in fact does not exist within the classpath.
<i>If</i> I would have the BP at hand (and you have, that's your advantage), just check if the class exists. If not, you could try a workaround and check the cause for the exception, if you achieve that it should not be thrown, the JVM won't complain...
Is the BP delivered within one or within several PAR's? If it takes several PAR's, maybe <i>CRMContextException</i> is in one, <i>ListPortalComponent</i> in another PAR and no SharingReference could be set (but I wouldn't call this very probable for the common package <i>com/sap/pct/crm/generics</i>; nevertheless, it's an idea).
Just try to analyze around this...
    Hope it helps
    Detlev
PS: You didn't mark your question as question?!

  • Calling an Account CRM iView from a URL

Is there anyway i can send Account Id Parameter as a part of URL and bring the result back. I was able to use the URL http://hostname:8001/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_bsp_frame/maindh.do?APPL=CRMM_ACCOUNT to bring up the Account iView. But I would like to pass Account Id and get the details of the Account by passing account id as a part of the URL. Is this possible.
    Any help appreciated.

    Hello Michael,
please use the CRM Object Link functionality. If your settings in the Table CRMC_PRT_CUSTOM are correct and the correct Role has been assigned to the calling user this Coding should help you to open the Account application with the Account ID in the Portal:
          CALL METHOD cl_prt_url_generator=>get_navigation_info
            EXPORTING
              im_object_type = 'ACCOUNTCRM'
              im_method      = 'DEFAULT'
              im_object_id   = 'AccountID'
            IMPORTING
              ex_url         = url.
    Best regards,
    Gregor

  • Delivering Plant In CRM Order

    Hi,
I need SAP CRM Field delivering plant.
Does Anyone know how I can get this field from sales order CRMD_BUS000115.
I need it for a condition pricing.
    Thank you
    Lidisaid

    Dear friend,
I had lots of problem with PLANTs in CRM because the only information about that it is stored in the table CRMM_LOCMAP (access with SM30 ). If the table is empty you need to download object DNL_PLANT.
In this table there is only a BP id in CRM that represent the Plant, and their ids in ECC or R/3 system.
In this subject CRM behaving different, because in ECC or R/3 there is a specific place to store Plants details, for CRM plants are Business Partners.
In the sales document CRM fill at the partner procedure a partner type Plant with the BP id that represent the Plant, and then, through the middleware this information arrive in ECC or R/3, and in the back end system all necessary processing for Plant happening. The execution to transform a BP in CRM in the Plant in ECC system the moust part it is hard code in the middleware, so it is impossible to change this behaving.
In my previous project I sent a message to SAP support complaning about the different behaving and information about Plant in CRM and ECC system, and SAP answered me that, for SAP vision, Plant it is not relevant for CRM process (front end).
So, if you need to create a new condition based on Plant information, in CRM could be impossible.
In my case, the solution was, sales order that needed information about Plant I create in CRM through BOR conection, so in fact, the order was create in ECC system with a link in CRM.
    Good luck,
    Lalas

  • Reading cache values from iView properties

    Hi,
I want to programmatically retrieve the value of an iView's cache properties.
I was thinking of retrieving this the normal way, using the attributes of the IPcdContext object.
This works for most attributes, for instance:
    <b>pcdContext.getAttributes("").get("com.sap.portal.pcm.Title");</b>
however, the attribute names used for cache -- <b>ALLOW_BROWSER</b>, <b>CachingLevel</b>, and <b>ValidityPeriod</b> -- don't seem to return anything...
How can I retrieve these settings?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
If they are not set from PropertyEditor and left to the default values, then these properties are not set on the PCDObject. So when you retrieve these attributes you get null. The PropertyEditor uses the same logic, but when nothing found, it shows default values. So from PropertyEditor you see them, but from API you get null.
You can inspect this behavior by opening the PCDObject with PCDInspector and check all available attributes. Then you will see that attributes  ALLOW_BROWSER, CachingLevel, and ValidityPeriod do not exist.

  • How to Change Default Iview Properties for Role Upload?

    Hello,
We have many roles to upload from R/3 ABAp system to NW2004s EP.
We use the Role Upload tool in the Portal to achieve this.
It works fine, the roles are created in the portal and can be assigned to users.
The fall back is that we have to modify every single transaction iview in the portal after the upload to modify the SAP GuiType from "SAP GUI for HTML" to "SAP GUI For Windows".
How can we change the default model used of SAP GuiType for uploading transaction iviews in uploaded roles?
Also, the uploaded role is not flaged as an "Entry Point", is there a way to set this marker to "Yes" as a default value for all uploaded roles?
    Best regards.

This is one of Acrobat's less intuitive areas!
For defaults, right-click on the text box that is as you want it: then select menu item 'Make current properties default'
Use Ctrl-E to bring up the Properties toolbar: its content will change depending on whether you have the box or the text selected, and selecting the box or text can be a bit clunky.
    Steve.
