Details on Time Management

Time Management is a very important feature for me.
Seemingly iPhone cannot display the contacts of an appointment in the calendar - so I do not know with whom I meet. That can be a faupax. At least very unpractical for example if I am late I might want to call the participants about it.
Furthermore it seems it does not have the functionality of tasks.
Moreover I would like to have a "Call task" with a link to a contact. When I am remebmered by the reminder I need to call I want to start the call with just a fingertip.

As this is a user ran forum to help out with problems, not much we can do.

    Hello DBM Gurus,
    we are trying to set up Time Management  in our DBM implementation (6.04).
    the DBM transactions work and create timestamps in CATS as expected but, we seem to have a problem with the integration between CATS an CO. The entries in cats do not create CO transactions in the internal order of DBM order (no entries created in table CATSCO).
    We have followed all the instructions we could find. this is still not enough.
    Are there any specific steps rellevant to this problem (transfer from CATS to CO) that we might have missed?
    Do you know any Cookbook or helpful help on this issue?

    Normally after book in timesheet from CAT2 ->Data will be save in CATSDB table,
    after approves data will exist in CATSCO , CATSPS, CATSMM and then we use CAT5 to interface data from HR to PS, CAT7 to interface frm HR to CO ...
    For you case no data exist in CATSCO ->check data already approves or not

  • Deactive time management in cProjects

    Hello,
    I've a really strange question. I would like to use cProjects for project management but have no need for using the time management. Furthermore it disturbs the process like I need it and for this reason it is neccessary to deactivate the time management even if this is contrarian to normal project management.
    Is this possible?

    We are planning our projects for getting the tasks in the ESS and we have no need to plan the ressources in a detail where we say that the task takes 3 days. Because if we would start to plan it is some kind of difficult to plan really exactly. Furthermore there is no benefit for us because we really just want to plan the projects with much dates.
    The problem we are facing is that we get warnings (when dates are not feasible, .. ). This warnings we would like to supress.
    I now started to have a look at the BAPI DPR_SCHEDULING but cannot find any documentation and no examples on how to use them and when they are triggered ..
    Could someone help regardings this problems?

    hi gurus,
                 i am doing workflow for time management in HR module transaction is CAT2 ones the end user fills the time sheet workflow want to be started and user decission(step type)  must send to his manger with respective cost center for cross checking the time sheet details .the end user will not give cost center no  ones he gives the personnel no it wil fetch the cost center detail in CAT2 screen.
    my doubt is for the particular cost center there will be a User Responsible ones the workflow triggered it want to go particular user with respective cost center.  pls any one can say

    Here i have an issue in writing a rule for time schema TMOO in TM ,the requirement as follows:
    1.Rule must check for quota type 01 on 31st dec 2009 and if it has more than 5 days then quota type 02 should have 5 days on 1st jan 2010.If Q type 01 has anything between 0 to 5 days then qType 02 must have only the remaining days in qtype 01.
    Ex: 4 days in Q tpe 01 then Qtype 02 should have 4 days.
    2. Q type 02 should expire by 30 th april 2010.Ist may 2010 Qtype 02 should have zero days .
    Can any one give me some idea on it.Your solutions will be appreciated.

                      I am trying to test delta load for SAP HR Time Management Datasources. I am fairly new to SAP HR and need some help.
    Where do we create postings in  SAP HR for creating delta records which can be imported to BW. This is for the data sources 0HR_PT_1 and 0HR_PT_2.

    Hi,
    In order to test the above data sources you need to have some employee enter his time details or change the entered time details.  That will create some delta records for the planned or actual times.  CAT2 transaction should help entering the time details in SAP.

    Can you please advise how actually the transfer of clock times from time recording terminals to SAP R/3 will work?
    I read from help.sap.com that there is a SAP certified CC1 interface (BAPI based) which can be used for this purpose. However, in such a case, the time recording terminals should be SAP CC1 certified.
    If the time recording terminals are not SAP CC1 certified, then what is the method to be used? Will we write a custom BDC program in this scenario and what all should be considered in functional specification of such a BDC program.
    Please advise.

    Please provide the information regarding the key differences between Negative Time Management & Positive Time Management.
    Time Management can be bifurcated types:
    1. Positive Time (+ve Time) ? Positive time is plays the total role of workflow. All the processes related to time are automatically gets executed in the background. E.g., in our case it is done only partially to validate the attendance as per punches and other documents with shift timing and generate absence automatically in case of any discrepancy. 
    2. Negative Time (-ve Time) ? Where the all time related activities like validation of the attendance, posting of absence for wage deduction etc are done manually. It has less level of integration among the different components of time management.
    Negative Time Recording:
    1. Records time deviations to Planned Working Time
    2. Valid deviations include: Absences, Special Absences, On Call Duty, Overtime, Substitutions, Time off in lieu
    3. Deviations are manually entered according to type & duration.
    Positive Time Recording:
    1. Records the attendance time of the employee
    2. Records the deviation times of the employee
    3. Valid attendances include: Training, Business Trips, Seminars, Overtime.
    4. Attendances & deviations can be entered either:
    - Front end system
    - Manually.
    Positive Time Management we have two types of recordings:
    1. With Clock times - Complete time recording is captured
    2. With out Clock times - Only Number of hourse worked is captured
    Negetive time Management:
    1. No clock times and assumed employee is working unless and until his or her absences are entered.
    How is the process of getting data from time recording system to SAP how can we connect time recording system to SAP? How do we interface for positive time management?
    To simplify:
    We can consider two independent systems:
    1. SAP System which contains Planned Working time
    2. Time recorder system which contains the actual timings
    Now as Time recorder system will contain all Clock in & Clock outs, the data needs to be uploaded to SAP system either as Scheduled job at back end or online in critical cases.
    Based on our Time pair and other IMG settings in SAP System and comparison of IT2011 with IT2000, it generates values of OT,Absences etc etc.
    This job can be effectively done in proper coordination with Basis, ABAPers and Time Consultants.
    Under what circumstances, we shouldn't recommend for Positive Time Management?
    >>>If the company has only salaried employees /exempt empls, where you dont record their OT, DT, etc..
    >>>If Company has already another system which records time and can provide just total hours to be paid off in Regular / OT/ DT and also could update quotas

    I am adding more information..
    Whether or not an employee is on positive or negative time is determined by the time management status on IT0007. Status 1 or 2 = positive time; status 9 = negative time.
    In a standard system, positive time recording means the employee is required to record time (absence or attendance) for any day on which he is scheduled to work according to his generated work schedule. Negative time recording means an employee does not need to record time unless he has an exception to his normal working time; so absences are typically recorded as well as overtime or time work on days for which the employee is not scheduled to work.
    Schema TM00 is used to process positive time employees for whom clock times are entered; that is, every record has a start and end time.
    Schema TM04 processes both positive and negative time employees. The key distinction between TM00 and TM04 is TM04 does not require start and end times on every entry. Records with start and end times cna be processed in TM04. However, the records do not require these entries.
    In TM04 you will see code using IF, ELSE, ENDIF statements during the import process to separate the import of time data for positive and negative time employees.
    Positive time employees use the following data import statements in the schema:
    P2011 Import IT2011 records to TIP; regardless of whether the EE has IT2011, load the work schedule to TZP. If no IT2011 record exists, TIP is empty.
    P2001 Load absences
    P2002 Load attendances
    Negative time employees use the following data import statements:
    P2000 This is the critical difference between positive and negative employees. P2000 loads the daily work schedule to the TIP table as if the employee workede; that is, if the employee is scheduled to work from 8:00 to 17:00, this record will now appear on TIP. The work schedule details are also added to TZP.
    P2001 Load absences -- to pick up exceptions to planned working time
    P2002 Load attendances -- again to pick up exceptions, special costing information, overtime, alternate payments, premiums or any other variation from normal schedule work.
    So if you want to determine if you are using positive or negative time, check the time management status on the employees.

    Evan first do you a Project structure in place ?
    There would be charge codes or WBS  elements created for each Project .(PS team would do it for you )
    The PS team would create the WBS  codes and create teh features like if its billable Project /Non Billable project etc which would alos have the respective cost centers .
    Now for these project you can premit what type of Attendance types can be used //in the configuration .
    The employee goes to CAT2 selects the WBS code appilcable or the project code and enter the hours .
    Similary if there are more than one projetc worked ..Approriate WBS element would be choosed and hours booked against .
    1)PS team creates the appropiate WBS codes or project codes for your projects
    2)If needed you can allow the attendacne that can be recorded for this attendance types .
    3)To enter time employee would need a data entry Profile created (CAC1 transaction code )
    4)employee goes to the transaction CAT2 ->selects the approrpiate data entry profile
    5)Employee selects the WBS CODE /project code enters the time agains each day .
    6)goes for CAT4 approval if workflow in place .
    7)CAT6 background to transfer to infotypes (2001/2002
    now all the records would be stored in CATSDB table

    Hi,
    You can also use the tac-CN47N to view actual hours posted against NWA.
    If you are using CATS system for employee time booking to NWA, then you can use tac- CATS_DA. Select the required paramters on main screen, processing status 10 to 60 and input the Network header as receiver account assignment and execture the report. The CATS_DA will let you know the time booking of multiple persons with status, for example apporal, rejected etec.
