Detect programatically if AutoVue DD is installed (Windows/Linux)

Hello,
I need help on detecting if user has AutoVue Desktop Deployment installed (on Windows/Linux OS) via Java. In Windows I thought of looking out registries under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\" with no success (at least I couldn't find any registry about AutoVue). In Linux I guess I could use something like "whereis" to find autovue.exe but Windows is priority right now. Hope you guys can help me pointing some ways to solve my problem.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I agree with you that this may not be an AutoVue specific question, feel free to edit/delete this topic.
Anyway, based on your answer I could find a registry under this location: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Oracle AutoVue Desktop Deployment
Thank you.

  • MSI B85M-G43 can't install Windows 7. Hard disk not detected.

    Hi,
I just built a new computer for the first time.  I followed the instructions and did everything correctly. but am unable to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Hard disk isn't always detected during the installation.
But when it appeared in the "Where do you want to install Windows" list along with system, I tried to format the hard disk and got a message "Failed to format the select partition. [Error 0x80070057]."
Then I restarted the computer, the hard disk no longer displayed in the list, so I put motherboard driver disc and clicked on Load Driver and opened Storage\Intel\PCH_12.0\f6flpy-x64. It loaded, then I got a message saying "To continue installation, use the Load Driver option to install 32-bit and signed 64-bit drivers. Installing an unsigned 64-bit device driver is not supported and might result in an unusable Windows installation."
I restarted again and disabled Driver Signature Enforcement, but it didn't help. I still got the same message.
In the computer case I have these devices:
    - MSI B85M-G43, Socket-1150
    - Intel Core i5-4430 Processor
    - Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 8GB
    - MSI GeForce GTX 650Ti BOOST 1GB
    - Cooler Master GX 550W PSU
    - WD Desktop Green 1TB
    - SuperMulti 16X DVD(+/-)R/RW 12X RAM (+/-)R DL LightScribe SATA drive
Everything is plugged in correctly. Hard disk connector plugged in SATA 1 and DVD -> SATA 2.
The installation is pretty slow, regardless if i install it via USB or x16 DVD. All except DVD and hard disk are disabled. It's also worth to mention that even DVD and USB aren't always detected in the click BIOS.
So I'm wondering if anyone here can help me? Thanks

    Hi and
1: What BIOS version you have? .. Have you tryed to downgrade/upgrade it already?
2: Have you tryed it in those SATA 2 ports? ...is it same strory?
    - On SATA there aint any master or Slave like on IDE so if you are under same controller it dosent mutter what port you use on what device.
Note: SATA 3 Ports are faster then SATA2 ports, but even SATA 1 can handel your DVD or HDD. So no lose if you need to use SATA 2 ports.
Hope this get you foward! Cheers Mummy

If you used Bootcamp Assistant, did you download and install the Windows Support software (drivers) in accordance with the Bootcamp instructions?

  • Optical drive drivers not being detected while installing windows 7 via bootcamp

I'm trying to install Windows 7 using boot camp but I keep running into a dead end that I have no idea how to fix.  I have my boot camp partition, and then I load up my install dvd and using BC assistant I click the Start Installation.  The machine restarts, and I get as far as the screen with the blue backgroun and the tiny green plant,  that has "install now" prominantly in the center, and below and to the left two options for "What to know before installing windows" and "Repair your computer".  I click install now and it goes to the "Setup is starting..."  Then I got an error winow that says "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now." "Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step."    And I have the option to browse, or rescan for drivers.  The problem is I can't find any drivers for my machines optical drive OR the boot camp support drivers. I have my Origianl OSX Install disc, but dont know where to look for the drivers since I now apparently have to install them manually.  Any advice on this would be super appreciated as I've been trying to get this working for like a week :\  Specs Below.

The initial install (at least for most of the reboots) does correctly reboot to Windows. However, towards the end of the Windows setup, where Windows is fully functional but is configuring itself, you may accidentally boot into OS X. Once you get Apple's Boot Camp drivers installed, you can set the target disk for a reboot, so that you don't need to hold down alt/option. In addition, you can also set the target disk in Lion via System_Preferences>System>Startup_Disk.
Unfortunately, the excellent boot manager rEFIt doesn't work with Lion (because of the hidden partition that Lion adds). Maybe they'll get it working soon, then you can use it and not worry about holding down alt all the time.

  • Installing Windows 8.1 Pro on 13" MacBook Pro

Can my MacBook Pro 13" support Windows 8.1 or Windows 8? I tried to install Windows 8.1 x64 on my Mid 2010 MacBook Pro. I opened Boot Camp Assistant, install Windows 8.1, inserted Windows 8.1 CD Installer, and it says on this screenshot:
Now, can I install Windows 7 or 8.1, or install Windows 7 and upgrade to 8.1?

  • Cannot install Windows 7 via Bootcamp?

    Hey Guys.
I have a mid 2009 Mac Book Pro. I use OSX Lion, and ran into issues with program compatability with older mac Programs. I then decided to install Windows 7 through Boot Camp so that I can run my older apps, and ran into a problem in the 1/4 of the Windows installer, which says "CD/DVD Driver not detected, please insert a floppy, CD or DVD, or USB with the driver to continue."
I've searched Google and every source on the internet, and I cannot find an alternative to get windows 7 to work.
I have however gotten Windows XP to install, but I cannot use the new bootcamp since it doesn't support XP (Of couse... -.- ) . How can I get my Windows 7 Installation to work.
    OR
How can I get the correct drivers to manually install them to get XP working on my mac?

Find the one "Bootcamp" that BCA created. It will be FAT32. Use the Advanced Options in the Windows install step to format it. You did that, then something else going on.
If that is what you did then you have some other drives connected that are GUID more likely.
Both are in the install pdf and tech articles. I liked the old support product pages check

  • How do  I Install Windows 7 on Mac Book Pro via a Bootable USB Drive

    Hi Guys,
I have a Mac Book Pro 13 inch, Early 2011 Processor  2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 (I initially had OS 10.5.8 which I upgraded to OSX 10.9.4 a few months ago).
When purchased it, I installed Windows via Super Drive (that being the only time i ever used the super drive). My Windows got corrupted for some reason 2 months ago. Hence, I removed the windows via Bootcamp to perform a fresh install. I discovered my Super Drive was no longer working.
Thereon I have been trying to install Windows via a bootable USB Drive but am failing to do so. After going through several forums, I have reached the following stage.
    1. Created Bootable Windows USB Drive using Windows USB (http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Bootable-Windows-7-or-Vista-USB-Drive). Have used this USB drive to install windows on a DELL Computer
    2. Bootcamp wasnt creating a partition for windows since no Windows Installation disc was being detected in super drive. (Solved it by downloading Toast Titanium and loading the .iso file on a virtual drive).
    3. Boot menu was initially not detecting external drive, so installed rEFIt - An EFI Boot Menu and Toolkit. Now it is detecting the USB Drive.
Now when I boot from this device, it get a black screen with the message "No bootable device - Insert Boot Disk"
Request someone to please help me install windows as some softwares which I work with are windows based.

So my understanding is that my Boot Camp Assistant (BCA), since it does not allow USB installer, it sets NVRAM to boot from Optical Drive. Right?
    Yes.
So can I change it or update it to another BCA version which supports the same??
All BCA versions drive the logic based on the Mac Model Identifier. Unfortunately there is no real workaround. .

  • How do I install Windows with my OEM disc?

So I bought the Windows 8.1 64-bit OEM installation disc, and was using BCA (Boot Camp Assistant) to install it on my Late 2012 Mac mini.
I did as I was prompted: plugged in an 8GB USB drive, inserted my disc into my external reader, opened BCA, checked the the all the boxes as per recommended than clicked Continue.
I was than brought to the part where I had to 'choose the ISO file'. I thought it would have automatically detected my disc, but since that wasn't the case, I proceeded to browse my disc to search for the ISO file. And there was none.
I even thought that using the OEM disc to install Windows using BCA was wrong, but it is actually recommended over the Retail one.
Can anyone help me in this?
PS: Please forgive my bad English.

You will need to convert the DVD to an ISO using Disk Utility. Please see Disk Utility 12.x: Create a disk image and Section Create a disk image from a disk or folder
From Boot Camp: System requirements for Microsoft Windows operating systems
An authentic Microsoft Windows full install disc or ISO file

Hi, i have a macbook pro version 10.6.8 with boot camp version 3.0.4. I managed to install windows 7 professional x64 bits but however when i tried to install the drivers using the OSX MAC CD using boot camp, it prompt me boot camp x 64 is unsupported with this computer model. Then i tried the method by right click the bootcamp x64 and managed to install the drivers. However, i still couldnt manage access the internet and it prompts me no networking hardware detected...Any idea how can i solve it?
P.S i tried updating my bootcamp version 3.0.4 in mac os with bootcamp x64 version 3.1 exe but it shows me weird wording..
my bootcamp version in windows 7 is 2.1..

    Uninstall 2.x totally
    Use CCleaner Registry tool
Do whatever you need to to nuke the existing Apple programs and folders hidden here and there also.

  • How do i config bios/uefi to get me to install windows 7 or 8

ok, heres the system i'm trying to install windows x64 on
    X79A-GD45 Plus (bios ver. 17.9)
    8x8gig corsair vengence 1866(base freq is 1333)
    evga 680 gtx 4gig(custom edition)
i tried 2 different hdds(3tb and 1.5tb sata 3.0 seagates) and 1 ssd(samsung 850 pro 128gig) from usb stick(used both pny 32gig usb3.0 and team 32gig usb3.0) install under legacy+uefi and under uefi using sata port 1(ports 1-2 are sata 3.0, rest are sata 2.0). to get the usb stick be bootable i used rufus and had to plug it into a usb2.0 port(for some odd reason it couldn't even boot from usb3.0 ports even tho they're enabled in the bios). i don't have optical drive even hooked in first since i don't have a burner drive at my house on standby to burn iso to it(waiting on bro to burn me a copy first so i can try installing it via optical drive).
i followed the directions correctly  for rufus bootable usb, and followed directions from a few forums(not here, yet) for proper install...tried windows 7 sp1 and windows 8.1..it either had some weird data missing error or gave me a msg saying drive to install windows to not detected by installer(which is weird cause i saw it in the system status page in the bios screen). i spent the last 2-3 days trying to figure this out.
i only got this motherboard cause my asus sabertooth died(their tech support is a joke and returned to me a motherboard with bent cpu socket pins) and evga didn't have a decent version that didn't have a chipset that crashes. the msi one i picked didn't have any marvel chipsets to worry about(caused most of the x79 systems to crash and fail)
wondering if i have to use sata 2.0 ports to install the os on first..then move them later to get sata 3.0 speed benefit
any advice and pictures on how to rig up the bios would help.
btw, motherboard is reg'd with msi and with service net(via newegg.com, i'm not taking any chances with crappy tech support anymore). also i haven't even bothered with the 20 usd rebate cause i want a system to work well at least til pcie 4.0 motherboards come out

Are you gonna install UEFI Windows or non-UEFI Windows?

  • BeatsAudio missing/replaced after Installing Windows 8.1

    Hi,
When I bought my laptop (HP Pavilion 15-p044tu) it had Windows 7 installed. Also, BeatsAudio controler installed.  Then I installed Windows 8.1 64bit (clean install, not upgrade from 7) and it required a full format of my HDD. So all the drives got erased including the one which had Driver & OS Backup stored.
After Installing win8.1, I went to HP support page for my laptop and manually downloaded the drivers (Including Audio drivers) from there. Please note that, some of the drivers were installed automatically by windows and there is no "unkown device" showing in my device manager's "other devices" tree.
The problem I'm facing is that there is no BeatsAudio interface anywhere. It's been replaced by "Realtek HD audio". Even in the control panel where there was a Beats Icon, there is a realtek icon now. I've searched other forums where they've suggested installing IDT audio driver which will bring back Beats but there is no such driver on my laptop driver page. I've tried the windows 7 drivers but got no positive result. Also I've tried installing IDT drivers from different laptop models from different windows version but it says, "Hardware detected is not supported by this IDT Audio Driver" & stops installation process.
I've also tried installing it in safe mode, but got same result. Note that my audio is working as normal with realtek, but the soun is lower than before. I just need the beats audio back.
Please help me out with this issue. I've searched your forum but didn't get any solution (just different IDT drivers which resulted the same thing).
    Waiting for a reply.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The beats audio interface is provided by the audio software installer - this can be IDT or Realtek depending on the hardware.
    Try the following.
Download the Realtek Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66001-66500/sp66107.exe
When done, hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run window type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
Expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the Realtek device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66001-66500/sp66094.exe
When the reinstallation has completed, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
Let Windows fully load - it may automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the Realtek Audio installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again and let Windows fully load for a couple of minutes before trying to launch the Beats interface from Windows control panel.

  • Blue Screen of Death After Trying To Install Windows On Pavilion ze4900?

After my hard drive died in my Pavilion ze4900, I replaced it with another notebook hard drive I had laying around.I also tried installing Windows XP home from a Windows installation CD, the same OS the laptop had before the hard drive died. All went well until the laptop was done loading all the installation files, instead of giving me the option to either install Windows or repair Windows, the laptop ends up showing me a blue screen with the message: " A problem has been detected and windows has been shutdown to prevent damage to your computer." What can I do to resolve this issue? I have installed Windows XP on another computer using the same CD, so the CD hasn't gone corrupt and the replacement hard drive is barely used. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

, Hello and thanks for posting on the HP support forums.  The first thing you will want to check is if there are any issues with the hard drive you put in.  Run the BIOS diagnostics for the hard drive and the hard ware to make sure there are no issues. HP Notebook PCs - System Diagnostics (F2) And. HP Notebook PCs - Testing a Hard Disk from the BIOS Please let me know how things go. Thanks again for posting and have a great day.
