Detecting my canon cam device in flash player, getCamera of ActionScript does not detect, Is this a bug ???

Our application uses below snippet of Flex 4.5 sdk code for detecting flash players :
var camera:Camera = Camera.getCamera();
                if (camera) {
                    camera.setMode(640,480,60,true);
                    camera.setQuality(1000,10000);
                    videoDisplay.attachCamera(camera);
                else {
                    Alert.show("No Camera found with your computer");
Above code is fine for the Logitech webcam which am using, We have a requirement to detect Canon EOS digital cams to be recognized as well to detect with the flash player.
but its not recognizable in flash player.
Any help is appreciated!

That connection is supported for tethering....

    You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
    Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.
    You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
    You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
    and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

  • I have the latest Adobe flash player installed but it does not show up in my add-ons or plug-ins on Firefox 3.6. In the plug-in check, it recognizes that the shockwave flash is up to date. How can I have the plug-in appear and be enabled on firefox?

    I have uninstalled the flash player and installed it numerous times with no recognition by the Firefox plug-ins. I also have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it as well. I have also restarted my computer several times as well. The flash player is certainly installed but not working on Firefox. Thanks in advance for your help.

    James j,
    You have a different problem. Your screenshot shows "The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed".

  • Adobe Flash Player 10.1 (latest) does not load video on some sites

    Since updating the Flash player to 10,1,82,76 many sites with flash video does not load content and usually stays black or showing a loading icon forever. Same result in all browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox).
    One example is revision3.com, where flash video never loads. However, flash video loads fine on youtube.com for instance. I have been trying to uninstall, reboot, repair permissions and install again with the no success.
    Anyone experienced this and found a solution?
    Thanks!

    Odd. Revision3 works fine for me. In fact the opening shot of the video I tested is someone sitting at a desk with an Apple Macbook!
    As you get the same error in all browsers, try uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player:
    The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash
    (You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.

    I have Windows Vista 64-bit. I can't play on-line games on Pogo. I already contacted Pogo & they told me to update flash player. Firefox disabled by plugin for flash. I can't get the most updated Adobe flash player because it doesn't support 64-bit.

  • Flash Player Loads But Music Does Not

    Example: On Myspace pages the flash player will load but it
    never plays the music. It simply says "Loading..." and never
    changes. I have another computer sitting right next to this one on
    the same network that loads them fine so I know it's not a firewall
    issue. Please help!
    Update: If I let it sit long enough it will eventually say
    "Error Downloading Music" where the "loading..." message was
    before. I can't seem to get specific information on the error
    though.

  • Flash Player plugin in Firefox does not play sound or crashes when connected via RDP (+RemoteFX)

    Hello everybody,
    I am using Windows 8.1 Enterprise in an VDI infrastructure to connect to my desktop residing in an Hyper-V environment providing also RemoteFX support. Therefore in my virtual desktop to which I connect through RDP a virtual graphic adapter offers direct GPU support and 3D acceleration.
    When using Firefox 25.0.1 in combination with the latest relase of Adobe Shockwave Player 11.9.900.152 (tried also several older releases), all embedded videos are only played without sound. Furthermore when trying to play a video on youtube that video starts fine for about 5sec and then an youtube error message is displayed saying something about technical problems.
    However, all videos incl. youtube are played flawless when using Internet Explorer on the same desktop.
    Is there any solution for that ? Is it a bug or simply not supported ?
    Thank you for your help !

    After a little bit of trial and error, then some digging it turns out flash over RDP/RemoteFX just isn't going to work. I did discover that Vimeo does work fine (sound and all) as it uses its own player, not flash. Here's a link to a discussion on the issue which should exlain it better than I can: How to get good video performance for remote access to virtualized computer? - Super User

    Use the iSwifter browser from the app store. Works for most flash content.
