I'm looking for a solution which will automatically detect recepient email host's content type..I mean HTML or Text. Is it possible to detect from email's domain name? If so, please let me know.

ThanksNo, that is impossible. You will need to ask people what kind of mail they prefer, or simply send a multipart/alternative containing both a text/plain and a text/html version of the message.

Email attachments content-type

Hi guys,
I have one process that starts with an email agent. When I send an email with a txt file in attachment the email agent set the content-type to "text/plain" but if i send an email with a lst extension file the email agent set the content-type to "application/octet-stream". I need that the email agent set the content-type "text/plain" to the files with lst extensions.
BPEL version 10.1.3.5.
Any idea?

Hi,
we don't found the solution for this problem but a workaround that resolve - temporarily - our problem...
- first we source in different places how to set mimtype content. Unfortunately we don't found were BPEL/SOA take the value to attribute the mimetype of a specific file (we change the mimetype content of operation system - Windows/Linux -, JVM, SOA and others).
- we discover that MailActivationAgent convert unknown file extensions to application/octect content-type.
- with this info, we implemented into our BPEL flow a Java Embeded to re-convert the file content (using this reference: ora:readFile returns strange string
Now we are sourcing for a specific solution: this Java Embeded workaround don't accept setting a different charset. If we have different characters this cause a problem when file are re-converted. But, for now, this workaround resolve our problem.

Can I create an email message content type?

Just want to be able to select me email message from the New Document drop down in the library.
It doesn't work.
So I tried a link content type to an email message in a document library and that doesn't work either.
Has anyone got any ideas for this?

I have a library that I like to put email messages into.
But I would like to create an email message that I use all the time. So, I was hoping I could add the message as a content type and have it available in the dropdown from 'New Document', just like other Word doc content types.
It doesn't seem to like this, gives me a message:

How come i cant autopopulate my email addresses, i need to type in all over again

I use Network solutions and they upgraded my email system and I can get the addresses in my contact sheet if I add them but now when I type in an email address and I retype another email it won't autopopulate. It drives me crazy to retype a long email address again. How do I get the browser to remember what email addresses I type in so I don't have to redo them.

Is there a way to change the icloud email address associated with your Apple ID?

I had an Apple ID long before iCloud came around. Naturally, my username was my email address, let's say [email protected] I signed up for an @me email address when they started just to try it out, but never used it. Either by default or by my own decision, my @me account became the same as my old email address: [email protected] Later, Apple issued the @icloud email addresses, so I now have: [email protected] as well. I want to set up a different icloud address, one that I would actually use, let's say [email protected] Then, I would like to associate that address with my Apple ID and delete the oldaddress@icloud address altogether. Can I do this and if so how?

Since your Apple ID is already associated with the current iCloud account (and the account cannot be delete, it can only be abandoned), you can't use it to create another. You would need to create a new Apple ID with a new non-Apple email address to create a new iCloud account. You can still use your current ID for everything else; the iCloud ID does not need to be the same as the ID you use for other services (iTunes, etc.).
You would then have to migrate your iCloud data to the new account and turn on your iCloud data syncing. When you turn Mail to On, you can create your new @icloud email address (but type carefully since once created it cannot be changed). You @me iCloud email address would remain associated with the iCloud account you are leaving but it sounds like you don't want to use it anyway. You can set up email forwarding to forwared email sent to your @me address to your new @icloud address while your contacts transition to your new address.
If that sounds like something you want to do, I can give you the steps to migrate your data to the new account.

How to set Content-Type of attachment?

Does anyone know how I can set the Content-Type of an attachment of an outgoing mail?
I use Apple Mail, and with one correspondent I have this annoying problem that he never receives any excel or word attachments that I send (and possibly other ones, too).
Our support now says that I should try to set the Content-Type
of the excel attachments to "Content-Type: application/vnd.ms-excel".
Apple Mail seems to set it to
"Content-Type: application/octet-stream"
and they think that attachments with this content-type might get blocked by the mail server of my correspondent.
Any suggestions, ideas, etc., will be appreciated.

Importing mass email addresses into Address Book?

My boss just got a new Blackberry and wants to sync her contacts. Unfortunately, she is not very good at making address book entries.
Is there a way to quickly import any email address into Address Book? She doesn't need the everything edited with name, address, etc...since she knows most of these people by their email address more than their first/last names!

They aren't located anywhere. She has all her email messages archived in Mail.app for the last 3 years so she'd like to extract them from there.
Is there some kind of built-in email address list in Mail.app, because it seems to auto complete any email address she types despite it not being in the Apple address book app.

Invalid Gift Unable to gift an item using iPhone 5s and iPad air, Error Message Invalid Gift. You must enter a valid recipient email address.

This has been going on for quite a while. I am able to send/purchase gifts from my iMac however; when I attempt to purchase a gift on my iPhone 5s (iOS 7.0.4) or my iPad Air (iOS 7.0.4 ) i get the following error message:
Invalid Gift
You must enter a valid recipient email address.
This happens no matter what email address I type in. Once this message comes up you can only select "OK". It never let's me finish my purchase.

Automatic email address in reciepient list in SBWP

Hi Gurus,
In SBWP generally we manually enter the external email address and type and then forward the email.
But now my requirement is, the external email address should automatically appear in the reciepient list in SBWP, so that each and everytime I need not go to Customer master ( XD03) for the email address.
Can anyone help me out in achieving this ?

Anyway, you may find UTL_MAIL easier to user than UTL_SMTP.

Email address shrouding help needed

For years I've shrouded my email address by using encrypted JavaScript code to hide my address from robot address scavengers.
I use Enkoder
Enkoder [and others like it] spits out a short piece of code that replaces the live address. Previous GUI software I've used lets me add the script as part of the hyperlink setup, or, I send the script to my Wordpress coder.
I'd like to use Enkoder within Muse but can't find a backdoor to add the code.
Here's an example of Enkoder code using my email address:

Apologies for the delayed response. I made a form, as you suggested. However, I often just display my email address or text [with the link] that directs readers to 'click here'. All I want is a shrouded version of my email address that the 'bots have a tough time dealing with [Enkoder provides this].

Unless I'm missing something, the forms option is overkill for what I'm trying to do. Generally, competitive software [for example, NetObjects] will allow me to add a replacement script at the place where the shrouding script is required that replaces the actual email address.

I have the following to extract the domain name from email addresses Mid([<Type>],FindOneOf([<Type>],"@") +1, Len([<Type>])). Would return oracle.com from [email protected]
How would I modify this or create new function to extract the email name, I need to extract john.doe from the above.

You actually have most of what you need. It's just trial and error from there.
The syntax is Left([<ContactEmail>],FindOneOf([<ContactEmail>],"@")-1).

You can undo your permission changes. Probably the most relevant one is cookies. Try one or both of these methods:
(1) Page Info > Permissions tab
While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Permissions
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Permissions
(2) about:permissions
In a new tab, type or paste '''about:permissions''' and press Enter. Allow a few moments for the list on the left to populate, as this information needs to be extracted from a database.
Then type or paste ''rcn''' in the search box above the list to filter it to the most relevant domains. When you highlight a domain, you can adjust its permissions in the right pane.
